04:14which includes modern-day Russia and portions of Central Asia Persia Cush and Put will be with them

05:07visited in the latter years you will come into the land that is brought back from the sword and is

05:12gathered out of many people against the mountains of Israel which have been always waste but it is

05:19brought forth out of the nations and they shall dwell safely all of them Ezekiel 38 8 this verse alone was

05:28impossible for over 2,000 years Israel was no longer a nation the people were scattered among the nations in

05:35Europe Asia Africa the Americas the land lay desolate and yet Ezekiel declares that in the latter years

05:43God would gather his people back from the nations and bring them to the mountains of Israel to the very

05:49land of Abraham Isaac and Jacob this happened in 1948 the miracle of modern times a nation born in a

05:58day just as Isaiah foretold in Isaiah 66 8 who has heard such a thing shall a nation be born at once

06:08for as soon as Zion travailed she brought forth her children since then the Jewish people have been

06:15returning home the language of Hebrew has been revived the cities rebuilt the deserts have blossomed

06:23and Israel stands a sovereign nation surrounded by enemies fulfilling the very words of prophecy

06:32but Ezekiel tells us something more that this future invasion will happen when Israel is dwelling

06:40securely in unwalled villages you will say I will go up against a land of unwalled villages I will go to

06:50them that are at rest that dwell safely all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates

06:56Ezekiel 38 11 now understand in the ancient world a city without walls was vulnerable but Israel

07:06with all its high-tech defense systems might appear safe the iron dome peace treaties and international

07:15support may give the illusion of safety could it be a temporary peace a deceptive calm before the storm

07:24then the prophecy escalates therefore son of man prophesy and say unto Gog thus saith the Lord God

07:32in that day when my people of Israel dwellest safely shalt thou not know it and thou shalt come from thy place

07:39out of the north parts thou and many people with thee all of them riding upon horses a great company and a

07:45mighty army when Ezekiel 38 14 15 this is the moment Gog sees Israel at rest and seizes the opportunity

07:55he rallies the nations a massive multinational army begins its march toward the land of promise

08:04they ascend like a storm cloud over the land this is not just a political maneuver it is a demonic

08:11rebellion against the purposes of God but what happens next changes everything and it shall come to pass at

08:20the same time when God shall come against the land of Israel saith the Lord God that my fury shall come

08:27up in my face Ezekiel 38 18 God rises he intervenes not by diplomacy not by Israel's military but by his own

08:38supernatural hand the ground shakes a massive earthquake every creature every mountain every man feels it

08:46for in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken truly in that day there shall be a great

08:52shaking in the land of Israel the mountains shall be thrown down and the steep places shall fall

08:59Ezekiel 38 19 20 then God sends confusion every man's sword shall be against his brother

09:07Ezekiel 38 21 the coalition turns on itself chaos erupts in their own ranks then judgment falls

09:16from heaven and I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood and I will rain upon him and upon the

09:21many people that are with him and overflowing rain and great hailstones fire and brim

09:27Ezekiel 38 22 this is not a conventional war it is divine judgment the kind seen in the days of

09:37Sodom and the plagues of Egypt and at the Red Sea God reveals his holiness he defends his covenant

09:45the nations fall before his might but this is not the end of the prophecy Ezekiel 39 gives us the

09:54aftermath a world shaken a battlefield filled with the fallen and they that dwell in the cities of

10:01Israel shall go forth and shall set on fire and burn the weapons and they shall burn them with fire

10:09seven years Ezekiel 39 9 seven years of burning weapons what kind of weapons could fuel fires for

10:16seven years are we looking at nuclear or chemical warfare could the fallout from this war affect the

10:22environment we don't know the details but we know the consequences are global and the cleansing will

10:29take seven months to bury the dead and it shall come to pass in that day that I will give unto Gog a place

10:36there of graves in Israel and seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them that they

10:42may cleanse the land Ezekiel 39 11 to 12 and then a final act of revelation so will I make my holy name

10:51known in the midst of my people Israel and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord the Holy One in

10:59Israel Ezekiel 39 7 this is the ultimate purpose God is not simply defending a piece of land he is

11:07revealing his name he is calling the nations to repentance he is vindicating his holiness and he is

11:15preparing the way for what follows the great harvest the final awakening the return of the king the war of

11:22God and Magog is not just a military event it is a prophetic moment of reckoning where history judgment

11:30and redemption converge on the stage of Israel and the whole world will see that he alone is Lord

11:39in the very first pages of scripture we learn that history is not random it is not a chain of

11:46disconnected events but a divine pattern a revelation of God's sovereign plan moving toward a climax

11:53and in that divine pattern there are nations that rise and fall according to God's will

11:58one of those nations is Persia known today as Iran and it has re-emerged on the world stage not merely

12:05as a geopolitical force but as a prophetic entity destined to play a central role in the unfolding

12:13of the last days the first time we meet Persia in the biblical narrative is not in judgment

12:20but in redemption the empire of Persia was used by God to set his people free in Isaiah 44 28 written

12:31nearly two centuries before it came to pass God names the king of Persia Cyrus long before he was born

12:39that saith of Cyrus he is my shepherd and shall perform all my pleasure even saying to Jerusalem

12:46thou shalt be built and to the temple thy foundation shall be laid this is no ordinary prophecy it is the

12:55declaration of God's sovereignty over rulers and kingdoms it was Cyrus of Persia who issued the decree

13:01to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple after the Babylonian captivity the Medo-Persian empire replaced

13:06Babylon and was used by God to restore his people that restoration was prophesied in 2 Chronicles 36

13:1322 to 23 and fulfilled in Ezra 1 1 2 2 but the story of Persia doesn't end there in fact that was just

13:24the beginning because the Bible speaks of a time our time when Persia would rise again this time not for

13:33restoration turn to Ezekiel 38 5 Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them all of them with shield and helmet

13:43this is a prophecy concerning a coming war a war in the last days a war led by Gog of the land of Magog

13:51a coalition of nations that will come against the people of Israel in the latter years and listed in

13:56this coalition is Persia modern-day Iran this war is not just political it is spiritual it is eschatological

14:03it is the war of kingdoms the war of darkness against light of rebellion against covenant of the nations

14:09against the God of Israel now think about it of all the ancient empires the Babylonians the Assyrians the

14:18Philistines only Persia still exists by its biblical name and its native tongue to this day Iran calls

14:24itself Persia in Farsi that alone is prophetic because Persia did not vanish into the mists of

14:32antiquity it lay dormant waiting for the appointed time and that time is now since the Islamic revolution

14:39in 1979 Iran has declared itself the global center of Shiite Islam and it has made it its mission to

14:47destroy Israel the leaders of Iran do not speak like politicians they speak like end-time priests of

14:54destruction their supreme leader speaks of preparing the way for the Mahdi the Islamic Messiah who according

15:00to their eschatology will arise after chaos war and bloodshed it is a mirror of the biblical end-time war

15:09but twisted and inverted it is a counterfeit of God's plan Iran today is not just a nation it is a spirit

15:19and that spirit has reawakened it is the spirit of hatred the spirit of Antichrist the same force that

15:26resisted God's purposes in ancient times that is why Daniel when he fasted and prayed for 21 days was

15:32resisted not by a human king but by a demonic force ruling over Persia that he was ruling over Persia

15:41Daniel 10 13 says but the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and 20 days below Michael

15:48one of the chief princes came to help me and this reveals a mystery behind every nation there is a

15:55spiritual dimension behind Persia was a dark power resisting God's messengers and that power

16:02has risen again today's Iran is influenced not merely by political agendas but by that ancient

16:08spiritual opposition that seeks to thwart God's covenant with Israel and what does Iran do today

16:15it arms and funds Hezbollah in Lebanon Hamas in Gaza Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria and the Houthis

16:22in Yemen it is surrounded Israel with proxies missiles in the north terror tunnels in the south drones from

16:29the east the strategy is not just modern warfare it is the fulfillment of ancient prophecy Persia is

16:37preparing for Ezekiel's war now hear the word again from Ezekiel 38 8 after many days thou shalt be

16:44visited in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword and is

16:49gathered out of many people against the mountains of Israel which have been always waste but it is

16:56brought forth out of the nations and they shall dwell safely all of them this war only becomes

17:03possible after Israel returns to the land that happened in 1948 that prophecy was fulfilled in our

17:11generation and since then Persia has begun to position itself against Israel not just geographically

17:19but ideologically

17:22religiously prophetically

17:24the prophet Isaiah in chapter 21 speaks of a vision concerning Elam a region within modern Iran

17:31the burden of Duma he calleth to me out of seer watchman what of the night

17:37behold here cometh a chariot of men

17:40with a couple of horsemen

17:42and he answered and said Babylon is fallen is fallen

17:46and

17:49Isaiah 21 9

17:51and again

17:52in Jeremiah 49 35 38 the Lord says

17:56thus saith the Lord of hosts behold

17:59I will break the bow of Elam

18:01the chief of their might

18:03and upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven

18:08and I will set my throne in Elam

18:10and will destroy from thence the king and the princes saith the Lord

18:16there is judgment decreed on Elam but also something more

18:20God says he will set his throne there

18:23could it be that even in judgment God is calling the Persian people to himself

18:27could it be that amidst the darkness

18:29a remnant will rise in Iran

18:32that will proclaim the name of Yeshua

18:35Jesus the Messiah

18:37even now the underground church in Iran is one of the fastest growing in the world

18:42while the regime rages against Israel the spirit of God is moving within its borders

18:48former Muslims are having dreams of Jesus

18:52women and men are being set free

18:54it is the pattern of God he judges and he redeems

18:59he tears down and he builds up

19:01but the regime of Iran continues its path

19:04it seeks to develop nuclear weapons

19:07not for defense

19:09but for annihilation

19:10they have declared it openly
