00:06Ahead of the premiere of the One Direction alum's Netflix show Building the Band,

00:11Liam's older sister Ruth Gibbons is speaking out about watching him in the reality competition series.

00:18Sharing the trailer for the show which debuts on the streaming platform next month,

00:23she writes on her Instagram stories June 24th,

00:27I didn't know whether to share this, but it felt weird when I've raved about Liam's work and achievement for the last 15 years.

00:35She continues,

00:37I'm heartbroken he never got to see how great he is in this show.

00:42He knew he had done a good job.

00:43We all told him this when we were at filming, but watching it back, wow.

00:49The 34-year-old ends her emotional post saying,

00:52You're a star, Liam. You always were and always will be.

00:57There are a range of emotions I felt watching this, but one of the main ones is immeasurable pride always.

01:07Liam, who was found dead after falling from the balcony of a hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina last fall,

01:14signed on for the competition show in August 2024,

01:18just two months before his untimely death at 31 years old.

01:22With Netflix announcing earlier this month that the family of the late pop star who appears as a judge on the series,

01:30reviewed the episodes and are, quote, supportive of his inclusion.
