00:00Here's a concept that will change your life. When two concepts become stronger than each other,
00:05they become a force. Like if you want to go to sleep, but your willpower is strong,
00:09you can resist sleep. So sleep becomes a force pushing you down, but your willpower
00:15becomes a force pulling you up. And the stronger your willpower, the harder it is to go to sleep.
00:20But here's the thing, the same thing happens with your habits. If you have a habit of procrastinating,
00:25but then you decide you're going to stop procrastinating. Procrastination becomes a
00:29force trying to pull you down and your willpower becomes a force trying to pull you up. The more
00:33willpower you have, the harder it is for that habit to take hold. But the key is to make the
00:38other force weaker so that your willpower doesn't have to be so strong. Make the other force weaker
00:43by making the concept less important to you. You can't control how strong other people's forces are,
00:48but you can control how strong your force is. And the only way to do that is to make the concept
00:53less important to you.
