00:00Middleweight semifinal, Fabian Edwards, Josh Silvera.
00:02Silvera, the 32-year-old out of Florida, lost three or four before the tournament,
00:06dropped in weight to get down to this middleweight class, 14-4 for his career,
00:10beat Mike Shipman by unanimous decision.
00:12And the quarterfinals now going against Fabian Edwards, the 32-year-old Brit,
00:15the assassin, 14-4, 9-3 in Bellator, before moving over to the PFL,
00:20has wins over guys like Liotta Machino and Gegard Mousasi,
00:23beat Imbica Sanganae by second round TKO to get here into the semifinals.
00:27You know, that was a big thing for me.
00:30Edwards fight against Impa.
00:32That was the quickest start we've seen from him in a while.
00:34Those Johnny Edmund fights, he got off very slow,
00:36never really got to his style until the end of the fight and it was too late.
00:39Got off quick, threw some elbows.
00:40I like Edwards by decision in this fight.
00:42Light heavyweight semifinal, Bill Davis versus Sullivan Colley.
00:45Colley, the 28-year-old American, 7-1 in his career.
00:49All of his pro fights were in Bellator before the PFL
00:51and last fought in August of 2023 before this tournament.
00:53Beat Alex Polizzi with elbows in the first round in the quarters.
00:57Davis, the 40-year-old American, 25-7 for his career, won no contest.
01:02Former UFC and Bellator fighter, performer Bellator champion, Division I wrestler.
01:06Wins over huge names throughout his career.
01:08Beat Rob Wilkinson by second round TKO, ground and pound.
01:11That was a little surprising for me.
01:12Most of the wins for Phil Davis over the years have been by decision.
01:15At this age, I thought he ground-eyed another win.
01:18He was more aggressive, throwing some great stuff, throwing some great strikes.
01:21I think he gets the win here again and moves to the finals,
01:23but I'm going to go back to decision.
01:25That's what he's been known for throughout his career.
01:27I think he does it here.
01:28Phantomweight showcase fight.
01:30Sergio Perez versus Rayfion Stotts.
01:32Stotts, a 36-year-old American, 21-2 for his MMA career.
01:3612 of those by decision.
01:37Former Bellator title holder where he was 8-1 in that organization.
01:40He's on a two-fight win streak in 13-2 in the last eight years.
01:43Pettis, the 31-year-old American, younger brother of Anthony Pettis.
01:4723-7 for his career.
01:48That's right.
01:49He's got 30 professional fights, only 31 years old.
01:5115 of those wins are by decision.
01:53Former UFC and Bellator fighter.
01:55He held the title in Bellator and has lost three in a row now, though,
01:58coming into this fight.
01:59So where is he at?
02:00Where is his, you know, I would lean toward Pettis,
02:03except for those couple losses in a row.
02:05Now, they're against some of the top names in the game,
02:07but still, when you just got that going through your head,
02:10when you're on that kind of a snide,
02:11going against a guy who's been so hot the last eight years in Stotts,
02:14I'm going to roll with Stotts winning that fight.
02:16Middleweight, 70-final fight between Dalton Ross and Aaron Jeffrey.
02:20We talked about that with Fabian Edwards.
02:21Ross, a 29-year-old American, is 10-1 in his career,
02:249-1 of that in Bellator before his fight against Sadabu Sai,
02:27where he got the darts choke by second round.
02:30Jeffrey is a 32-year-old Canadian, 16-5 in his career.
02:334-2 with Bellator before making the switch over to PFL.
02:35He beat Ramazanar by split decision in his first-round matchup.
02:40You know, it's tough.
02:41Both these guys have their styles.
02:42Ross, obviously, I think, wants to grab it down.
02:45Jeffrey, I think, wants to keep it on the feet.
02:46I go with Ross by TKL.
02:48Right every week semifinal, Antonio Carlos Jr. versus Simeon Powell.
02:51Carlos Jr., 35-year-old from Brazil, is 17-6 in his career.
02:5512 of those wins by submission.
02:56The former UFC fighter beat Carl Moore by split decision in the first round of the tournament,
03:00going against Powell, a 26-year-old English fighter who now trains out of Ireland.
03:04He's 11-1 in his career with five of those by K.O.T.K.O.,
03:07former Bellator fighter, Albrechtson, by punches and elbows in the second round.
03:12Powell's going to be taller.
03:13He's going to be longer.
03:14I think that's going to be key against a guy like Carlos Jr.
03:16who wants to take him down.
03:17Those extra, you know, half-second there to avoid the takedowns,
03:20avoid getting on his back, and be able to try to pick apart his opponent.
03:24I'm going to roll with Powell by decision in this one.
03:25I think he does enough to get rid of some of those takedowns
03:28or survive the ones that he does get caught on
03:29and is able to do some good strikes otherwise to take some rounds.
03:32It might even be a split decision or a tight one or maybe a 29-28.
03:37Then we get to the prelim card.
03:38As you mentioned, there's still some fights here we've got to talk about
03:40because that's where all the heavyweights are.
03:42All the biggest boys are down there swinging on the prelims,
03:458.30 Eastern on ESPN+.
03:47You have a heavyweight semifinal between Valtin Moldovsky
03:50and Alexander Romanov.
03:51Romanov, the 34-year-old from Moldova that trains in the U.S.,
03:5419-3 in his career, 11 wins by submission, former UFC fighter.
03:57Beat Tim Johnson by standing guillotine in the first round
04:00in his opening matchup of the tournament against Moldovsky.
04:03The 33-year-old Ukrainian who trains in Russia, 14-4.
04:06Nine of those wins by decision, former Bellator champion.
04:10Beat Bilosteni by unanimous decision to get here.
04:13I'm going to roll with Moldovsky.
04:14I think that Romanov is very good.
04:16I think either of these guys would have a good shot at winning this tournament.
04:19But Moldovsky has that championship pedigree.
04:21I think Romanov kind of got an easier matchup with Johnson,
04:23who was on a long losing streak in that first part of the tournament.
04:27Then, also the other heavyweight semifinal,
04:29Oleg Popov versus Rodrigo Nascimento.
04:31Nascimento, the 32-year-old Brazilian, 12-3 of his career,
04:34six of those by submission, former UFC fighter.
04:37Beat Babley by split decision.
04:38Babley was just too small for this division.
04:40Popov, the 33-year-old Russian, 20-2.
04:42Nine of those, KO by TKO.
04:44Lost a gold star for the title last year.
04:46Beat Carl Williams by split decision in the quarters.
04:48Wasn't his best performance.
04:49I think it's better than this one and takes the win by decision.
