00:00Is it crazy to say they can turn around their season and make the playoffs, Keefe?

00:03On the one hand, they're only two games out.

00:05On the other hand, there's a bunch of teams in the mix they've got to deal with,

00:08and they're playing like crap.

00:09Yeah, I mean, I choose to—I'll go positive on it and just say the teams around them aren't very good.

00:14That Angels team that did sweep you, Keefe, the Angels are a lot better than the Red Sox,

00:18just based on the head-to-head matchups.

00:21But that lineup kind of stinks. That rotation's not very good.

00:24And they're one of the teams that's sort of in that grouping.

00:28So if you get Alex Bregman back, and I know that's sort of a big if as far as what he's going to look like,

00:33how many more games is he going to be able to give you,

00:35but if you get him and if the young guys can hit a little bit more,

00:39I don't know, is that enough to be the best of this group?

00:42So you have one step at a time, but can you be better than the Guardians, Mariners, and Angels?

00:47I still think so, and maybe I should start to change my tune,

00:52and maybe this homestand will start to do that.

00:54I mean, they've already played 82 games, so we're past the halfway point.

00:58Maybe this sort of team is what it is,

01:00because we were even making fun of Cora a little bit,

01:03where he's like, oh yeah, we need to make adjustments or whatever,

01:06as far as all the strikeouts.

01:07We've got all season to make those adjustments.

01:45but he said we want to improve the club for 2025.

01:52and I think the best case you can make for the Red Sox

01:54is that the AL stinks, right?

01:55It's not even a Red Sox case.

01:57It's just, well, look at all the other teams.

01:59They're all flawed too.
