00:20I guess I would, I would call it a step forward, step forward.

00:29But it was a step forward.

00:30The farm system feels like it got a lot better.

00:32Roman Anthony is the number one prospect in baseball.

00:34Christian Campbell, Christian Campbell was baseball America's player of the year.

00:39So it feels like the kids are coming.

00:41They're close.

00:42The kids are on the way.

00:43You had a big league season, not, not a kids at, at, at Worcester, you had a big league

00:47season out of Jaron Duran.

00:49That was, I think in some ways special.

00:51Also, I would say had a much better year than anticipated.

00:54And you're like, that was the guy that might not have even have been in the rotation.

00:58If Lucas G Alito didn't get hurt in camp, he ends up being an all-star, you know, he,

01:03he was in the Scion conversation for a few months that, that obviously dipped, but still

01:06an ERA just over three and the first full season as a starter for how I would look at

01:11how can Duran as sort of wins a few other players had their moments.

01:15Like, you know, will your brain, you looks like he's like a major league player stayed

01:19on Raffaele.

01:20It looks like a major league player.

01:21So I'd call it a step forward.

01:23And so was it a sick, if you would've told me before the year, they're going 80 to an

01:2680 or whatever, they're going to wind up going.

01:29I probably would have signed up for that, I guess.

01:32But what if I told you they were 10 games over at the deadline?

01:35And what if I told you they were playing that level of baseball, would you have signed up

01:40for that?

01:41So the second half was a failure.

01:43The second half of the year was a failure.

01:46So can I answer it that way?

01:49This year was not a success.

01:51The second half was a failure again, maybe overall they took a step forward, but really

01:57more at AAA than at the big league level.

01:59It feels like we're one year closer to finally not having to deal with a bridge here and

02:03actually have a real baseball season.

02:05That's how I would answer that.

02:07And it's not enough.

02:08Like if you take a step back and look at it from a thousand feet, you're not, you're not

02:12doing what a Red Sox baseball team should do.

02:14You've missed the playoffs three years in a row.

02:17You've collapsed after the trade deadline three years in a row.

02:20And you just extended and rewarded the manager for that.

02:23Oh yeah.

02:24Big extension.

02:25I don't love any of that.
