00:43seven footer to be honest with you because i you know i thought i i think he can play i really

00:49he's got offensive touch scott you can see he's got the offensive touch he's going to be able to score

00:54he's not a great defender but you know you can you can get you can get better at that but

00:59you can't teach the touch that he has scott for the size and he's got a good basketball iq too good

01:05bad you know he went to an ivy league school then michigan good passer understands the game well etc

01:10you know i like to pick he's going to be a serviceable nba player you can sort of tell like

01:15i guess their thought process is let's roll the dice and maybe one of these guys turns into a star but

01:31bunch of dudes in the same position and not to mention too and i'm not you know i don't want to

01:38you can't have this many rookies on a team like you know what i'm saying like you know just from a

01:45perspective and they got the kid yeah like it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense they got

01:56learned is and i play with some of them a lot these these foreign players uh these european

02:04players the the feeling behind them is and i not only do i play with them i know a guy

02:09that played in the nba i play with seven teams played at seton hall andre parity's a scout for

02:16the nets and um you know i play ball with him a lot and here's the deal they uh he talks about

02:23you know they're they groom them differently over there they they train them differently they're taught

02:29the game differently they play the game better than americans now in europe uh these players like

02:37wendy all of them the european style of basketball and they start them younger and they play nothing

02:44but basketball there's none of this you know playing five sports and all this other nonsense

02:49they train them uh to be basketball players so i play with this ukrainian dude i've told this story

02:55on the air i've never seen anything like it like this guy is six four and climbs seven footers like he's

03:01out you know in a jungle climbing a tree the guy goes up in their face he dunks he uses both hands

03:08he's got handle he's got step back he's got drive he breaks people down he gets to his spot and we just

03:16don't honestly see that with these american players most of them are ball hogs and they just uh use speed to

03:24get to the 10 these other guys have like look at uh luca they have legitimate bag of tricks they have

03:32step backs they get to their spot they get space they can pass they can shoot they can rebound they

03:38can go inside against bigs and it's not a problem for him i think that was his thinking that he was

03:44going to go after all these foreign players and then get a big seven footer to boot you know it's swing

03:51it's it's hit or miss right you look at the draw the raptors with adrea bargani going back

03:56you are right obviously about the fundamentals of the game right they see the game differently

04:00the europeans i you know you look at the ncaa ncaa coaches guys they're all he's a great coach and

04:09he's a great legend they're not great coaches they're great winners at winning their games right i spoke to

04:15someone like andrew wiggins good example played at kansas didn't really didn't really do much

04:21at kansas you know what i'm saying i remember in the ncaa tournament he scored like six six points

04:25in a game and i spoke to a coach and he told me he goes you'll see wiggins will be really good in

04:30the nba like but bill south held him back because bill south only cares about winning games not the

04:35fellow player like they're talking about treating him down there in miami possibly tonight
