A third of Brits are already budgeting for Christmas—and one in five have started buying gifts. We ask people in Birmingham whether this is smart planning or just plain too soon.

00:03I think budgeting is fair enough. I think buying is early.

00:06I think, I'll go, end of August, September is the earliest.

00:11The earlier the better. I wish I could live by that, but yeah, I definitely think it's the best thing to do.

00:16I don't really do Christmas, so I would say the 23rd of December is probably near enough to Christmas to start.
