New Delhi, June 25, 2025 (ANI): On launch of Axiom 4 Mission piloted by IAF's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said, “India's ascent to the pedestal of Viksit Bharat has started via space.” “It is indeed the vindication of the founding fathers of India's space program, Vikram Sarabhai and Satish Dhawan. It is so that this vindication of our founding fathers had to happen under the leadership of PM Modi. India is no longer a follower but an equal partner in all our collaborations. Shubhanshu Shukla is possibly the most crucial member of this mission as he performs seven crucial experiments designed by Indian institutes. These will be of vital importance to all agencies across the world.”

00:00You can see the excitement of the media person, that itself is an evidence of the kind of achievement that has happened.
00:06It is indeed a vindication of the founding fathers of India's space program, Vikram Sarabhai, Satish Dhawan.
00:13And it was destined that this vindication of our founding fathers had to happen under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
00:20And I say this with all the confidence in my command because the space reform which have brought in the last few years
00:26not only enriched our resources but also gave tremendous, tremendous confidence to our space experts, space scientists.
00:34And today India is no longer a follower. We are equal partners in all our collaborations.
00:40And I think it's borne out by the simple fact that of the four astronauts in the crew that has gone up,
00:46Subhanshu Shukla is possibly the most important because not only that he's a pilot,
00:51he's also going to perform seven crucial experiments and living up to the Prime Minister's mantra of Atmanirwar Bharat,
01:01all these seven experiments have been designed within India by the Indian Institutes,
01:05by the Department of Biotechnology, by some of the IITs, by the Indian Institute of Sciences of Bengaluru.
01:10The kits have been provided from here and these are going to be of vital, vital importance
01:15to all the agencies across the world because they are going to work out the possibilities of habitat in microgravity situations,
01:24also the effects of microgravity on human beings, on living organisms.
01:29They are also going to be related to life sciences.
01:32How does the cognitive functions get affected when exposed to uninterrupted watching of computer screens?
01:41How does the muscles behave?
01:43And in case of muscle dysfunction, what are the strategies to be adopted to regain that?
01:48And what are also the effects which happen as a result of prolonged survival over there?
01:59So in case one has to sustain there for long, how do you manage that?
02:02And also some of the plant experiments.
02:04So this is going to also open a new chapter in our exploration of space,
02:11not only for India, for the entire world.
02:13And it's a matter of pride that India is going to be the torchbearer of this new chapter.
02:19And overall I can say in a single sentence that India's ascent to that pedestal of Iksit Bharat
02:26has started via space.
02:28Thank you very much.
02:29Thank you very much.
02:29Thank you very much.
