00:00look you're there um is this considered disruptive or celebratory this wedding no i don't think that
00:11a celebrity wedding is to be called disruptive i think there are so many daily practices that
00:16happen in venice that are more disruptive and i'm going to tell you why this is because this
00:20is not the first celebrity wedding by the way that happens in ben in venice and whenever they
00:25happen they come with intention they come with love and protections toward the city and let's be
00:31honest they come with supporting businesses they support local vendors they support new jobs venice
00:37needs that venice is a really dedicated city if not the most dedicated city in the world and i don't
00:43think it can survive without that so imagine the amount of countries that would have loved to have
00:48this wedding in their locations and as a local i'm always really excited to see what happens at
00:54these celebrity weddings and you know why because they always pick incredible locations and they
01:00always transform location that otherwise we would probably have abandoned or forgotten about
01:05they do incredible settings and i personally and many other people are really curious always to see
01:11the pictures the videos because they're gonna be able to show us venice in a way that we normally do not
01:17see what would you say to the people who are protesting who clearly have very strong feelings
01:21that i would guess are centered around as you can see there uh mr bezos's wealth so what would you say
01:28to them i would say that we need to focus on what happens on a daily basis and on the people that are
01:32supposed to protect venice on a daily basis not on the people that are coming to venice with an
01:38intention to protect an intention to support having celebrity weddings and as i said it's not the first
01:43one is actually the disruptor of venice i think it's the over tourism the daily travelers the way these
01:49daily travelers are managed and the way we are going to manage venice in the future that is actually
01:57more disruptive you mentioned that it's great for the economy of venice um and it looks like bezos is
02:06going to drop about 10 million dollars so i get it right there but all of these things are scheduled
02:11events and they're having so many of them is this really going to kind of filter into the society
02:19into the community of venice look i'm pretty sure that they are not going to roam around like a daily
02:26traveler to venice but i'm pretty sure that i've been a local a lot of local vendors involved in all
02:32the activities because yes you can definitely bring your favorite people from your home country to plan
02:37but you will always have to rely on local vendors so let's say all the drivers of the boats and the
02:42yachts all the people that will do the flower settings you will have to manage them all the
02:47people that will do activities for all of this you need to rely on venice i'm pretty sure they will be
02:51taken around in an exclusive way or artists from venice will be going to their own private venues so
02:58that's what i'm trying to bring on the table basically i do think there is going to be a lot of involvement
03:04you
