Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sanchez have invited scores of VIPs from film, finance and show business to Venice for three days of wedding celebrations from June 26-28. 00:00Scores of celebrities descended on Venice this week to celebrate Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding.

00:12The wedding is expected to cost around $47 to $56 million, according to the president of the Veneto regional government, Luca Zaya.

00:20Italy's tourism ministry said on Friday that the wedding's economic impact could be more than $1 billion,

00:26including about $650 million for media visibility, $33 million for hotel and location expenses,

00:34and about $20 million for transportation and other services.

00:38Bezos and Sanchez donated more than $3 million to three Venetian institutions,
