New Delhi, June 24, 2025 (ANI): On BJP celebrating 50 years of Emergency, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, said "Constitution is supreme in the country and in the constitution, every citizen has fundamental rights, people have freedom of expression. If those fundamental rights are violated for any political gain, then it is a tragedy and the murder of democracy. Indira Gandhi and the Congress party implemented the Emergency only for their political gain... Today, it is being celebrated, and people are being made aware... In a democracy, anyone has the right to do Satyagraha, but the whole country was made into a prison by imposing emergency, and if anyone raises a voice against the government, he will have to go to jail..."
