U.S. President Donald Trump announced early Tuesday that a ceasefire between Iran and Israel was in effect, following Iranian state media’s claim that Tehran had fired its “last round” of missiles. The ceasefire came after Iran launched retaliatory strikes on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social around 1:00 a.m. stateside. However, uncertainty remains as Israel has reportedly struck Iran, saying Tehran had violated the truce which Tehran denies.
