BMitch and JP discuss the state of sports trading cars after learning Josh Harris bought a Jayden Daniels rookie card for $500,000.
Transcript
00:00The state of cards to me is kind of wild.
00:04It's back.
00:05It's been coming back.
00:06I know.
00:08But what blows my mind with that is that I could understand if you told me a Lamar Jackson rookie card now was worth $500K.
00:20Because Lamar's been in the league a while now.
00:23He's won, I don't know, two or three MVPs.
00:25Because, like, I'm just blown away that Jaden's only going into his second year and a rookie card is worth $500K.
00:32And people tell me it's one of one.
00:34Yeah, but this is what happened.
00:35Couldn't we just make one then?
00:37Me, Mitch, and Finley, one of one Jaden Daniels rookie card.
00:40But if you had one and someone spent that money for it, it's just like being a first-round draft pick and a seventh-round draft pick.
00:49Your salary starts at different places.
00:51And the guy that gets drafted in the first round, let's say he's going to another team later on, you're not going to make less than you made in that first contract, right?
01:00So that guy that got drafted in the seventh round, when he goes to sign a new deal, for the most part, his new deal is not going to jump up there where the first round is.
01:08Yeah.
01:08So it's where it starts.
01:10And let's be real, it's just like anything else, going out there, buying vintage cars or antique furniture or whatever, jewelry, this is the big boy's playpen.
01:26And they decide how much something is going to be.
01:28And they decide how much something is going to be.
