00:03Jamie Grimes has arrived back from Chesterfield FC's pre-season with an entirely new look after chopping off his long locks and donating them to a charity that provides wigs for children with cancer.
00:14Spirite fans will have become accustomed to seeing their captain sporting his ponytail on the pitch.
00:19However, Jamie has chopped off his hair to support the Little Princess Trust.
00:23It provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions such as alopecia.
00:32The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
00:37As well as losing his locks, Jamie shared a fundraising appeal on his social media to pay for the creation of a wig using his hair and said he was overwhelmed by the support from Spirites.

00:48It always amazes me. I didn't really expect to get too much traction with it. I just put it out there because the charity had requested a donation to help creating the wig.
00:57Me and my family donated and then I thought I'd share it. In the hour or two after it went on I had loads of donations which I'm really grateful for.
01:04It just shows how special the Chesterfield community is. Everyone seems to get behind people and they're all so caring.

01:13North Derbysh villages will pay tributes to coal miners who dedicated their lives to their work.
01:22A monument marking the contribution of Arkwright Colliery and the people who worked there will be unveiled in Arkwright Town on Saturday, June 28th,
