Yeah, well done. Congratulations. Well earned.
00:02
Matthias Mane. Right, let's go on to the main subject for the Kidding Duty Show this week,
00:06
and that is the targets for certain players next season.
00:10
Let's start off with someone who was sensational after his transfer from Celta Vigo.
00:17
I think it's permanent now, although I couldn't have quite announced it, Liam, but...
00:21
It is permanent. It's not been announced, but it's...
00:24
Heck, it's permanent.
00:26
He's not a lot we've been talking about it for months.
00:28
Yeah, exactly.
00:30
A magnificent start, first season for Jürgen Strand-Larsen.
00:35
The Premier League, 14 goals, four assists,
00:40
and that magnificent goal-scoring run when Wolves needed it the most.
00:43
And I think that makes a big difference, really.
00:45
Someone who's bedded into the league, obviously got a little bit of an injury halfway through,
00:48
came back, and yeah, someone to score goals.
00:53
And I think Premier League goal scorers and look, strikers thrive on goals,
00:55
and they thrive on... That's where they get their confidence from.
00:59
But I think when you're scoring goals in high-pressure situations,
01:03
when your team needs it the most, that's when you can tell when you've got a real gem of a player.
01:08
I just think all round, not just his technique, not just the goal-scoring record,
01:12
but his personality on and off the pitch has been integral for this team.
01:17
But Strand-Larsen, now going into his sophomore year, second year at Wolverhampton Wanderers,
01:23
what are we looking for a target?
01:25
What should he be targeting this season in terms of a return?
01:28
Well, we can make it very quick and easy.
01:31
Just score some goals, mate.
01:32
Leave it at that.
01:33
Yeah, I'm really impressed with Larson.
01:35
Look, 14 goals was a really good return.
01:37
Obviously, there were moments in that season where his form did dip and that really good run,
01:43
which coincided with Wolves going six games, winning six games on the bounce.
01:49
Obviously, inflated the numbers, but I don't think that does him an injustice.
01:54
I think his performances overall warranted that return as well.
01:58
And off the pitch, as you mentioned, he's been a really good addition to that dressing room.
02:02
So, yeah, as you say, it's not been announced by the club.
02:05
Yeah, we suspect they will do at some point.
02:07
But as we've been talking about since, I think, December time, January time, it's a permanent.
02:14
It was a very small amount of appearances to trigger that 23 million permanent deal.
02:20
So he will be a Wolves player moving forward and into next season.
02:23
And I think for him, without maybe suggesting that he could improve on that 14 goals,
02:30
because, you know, it's the joint best he's done in his career.
02:33
He scored 14 goals in one season in the Netherlands as well.
02:36
I think if he can replicate that kind of form, replicate those kind of numbers,
02:39
I think he's done really well.
02:41
And if, I mean, look, if he scores 14, 15 goals every season,
02:44
he's going to be a fantastic addition for Wolves.
02:46
Anything above that, we're both maybe slightly unsure where his ceiling might be
02:50
with scoring more goals on top.
02:52
But if he can replicate that kind of form and maybe get a few more assists,
02:56
I think that would be a really good improvement for him.
02:58
Look, you saw what he did when he flicked on the ball for Minetsi
03:01
in that final game of the season.
03:02
If we can see a bit more of that as well,
03:05
I think that would be an improvement on what he's done so far.
03:07
So replicating that form and maybe staying injury-free
03:11
and staying more consistent in his performances throughout the full season
03:14
would be the target for him going forward.
