Oh my goodness. Liam King. Wolves have doubled their tally for the season. They are off the
00:10
bottom of the table. It's time to party. The Champions League is on, my friend. How's your
00:19
blood pressure after that magnificent comeback on Saturday?
00:22
Yeah, look, we're flying now. Out of the traps quickly.
00:26
Yes, okay.
00:28
I mean, look, it was a great point, wasn't it? It was a huge point. And Wolves probably deserved it
00:32
with that second-half performance. Made the weekend, I'm sure, for all the Wolves fans,
00:35
that made the Arjos journey to the Amex a little bit brighter. And yeah, it was a much better
00:41
Sunday waking up knowing that we won't have to talk, think about, contemplate once we were back
00:48
in work on Monday on a nasty loss. So we'll take a point.
00:53
We will take a point. 87 minutes in and you're 2-0 down. We'll 100% take a point. And yeah,
00:57
mental game. And fingers crossed, fingers crossed that can galvanize Gary Neill's men
01:02
with two massive home games to come. And look, the point doesn't mean a lot if they go there
01:08
and disappoint Crystal Palace on Saturday, albeit they beat Spurs on Sunday. So it's not an easy
01:12
game. And we'll be previewing that throughout the week on the podcast and different and various
01:16
shows. But this is Keane and Judy's show. That means we talk three up, three down,
01:20
and we can relive and have the last word of the weekend on that 2-2 draw.
01:24
Should we do three up in the first half, three down in the second half or should we alternate?
01:27
I think we should alternate because we want to have a bit of up in the second half.
01:31
Yeah, go for it. Let's do that.
01:32
Okay, let's go. Let's go up first. Let's go up. Let's go to the man who
01:37
replaced Andre on Saturday. And that's Mr. Tommy Doyle. We all remember. Well,
01:41
didn't start great for him, did he? Missing that fantastic chance in that first half,
01:46
early on in that first half. Squaring it across, Doyle in the box. That's the man you want over
01:51
the ball. Top corner. Oh no, it's gone into Rosette. I couldn't believe it. And then you've
01:57
got that meme all over the shop at the moment in time on social media. 4-1-1, Brighton the attack,
02:03
two near look, looks like it's going to be three. And then that off to one and then that fantastic
02:07
interception which leads to Cunha's equaliser. Massive moment in Wolves' season. But overall,
02:14
I think we were both very impressed with Tommy Doyle's display, his first start,
02:18
Premier League start of the season. Yeah, without giving too many spoilers away,
02:22
albeit I'll give two away straight away. Neither of the goal scorers are going to fall into the
02:28
column on this occasion, because I do think that both Aitnourian and Cunha were a little bit off
02:33
it for their high standards, albeit two very important goals. And the one man who was heavily
02:39
involved in that big moment, Tommy Doyle, does fall into this category and for good reason.
02:43
And I was glowing a little bit after the game because I was walking around, I was
02:50
I was blowing my chest out. Glowing or blowing, what did you say?
02:55
Glowing. Glowing, all right. Glowing. I don't know. I was puffing my chest out,
03:00
walking around saying, look, I told you all that Tommy Doyle was a player. You're doing the
03:05
McGregor, weren't you? The McGregor shoulders. I was giving it the big end to everyone because
03:09
I'm a big fan of Tommy Doyle. I think he's a fabulous footballer, I really do.
03:13
And I was reiterating this point to a few colleagues after the game. A few people
03:18
agreed with me, a few people who agreed with me, maybe reluctantly. But Tommy Doyle, I think, is
03:25
easily the best player in the Wolves squad, technically, I think. The way he manipulates
03:29
the ball, the way he looks after the ball, his passing, his range of passing, the weight of
03:33
passing, I think it's fantastic. But there is that big negative. And it was that moment,
03:39
was it, in that first half, as you've already mentioned. At nil-nil, one player on the pitch,
03:43
the ball to fall to in a Wolves shirt, you want it to be Tommy Doyle. And he makes a big mess of
03:48
that. And I spoke to him after the game and he said, look, I should have scored it. It was a
03:51
big opportunity. But I thought he made up for that in more ways than one because he looked after the
03:57
ball exceptionally well in front of the midfield. At times, I think fans can see him as a little bit
04:02
negative. He does take his time going sideways and backwards with passes, but I think he has to
04:06
recycle the ball in that way to get the most out of his range of passing. When eventually a moment
04:10
does open up, he was finding Samedi out on the right side on several occasions. And then, as you
04:16
say, has that big moment in that second half. It's a terrible pass from the Brighton player.
04:23
But at the same time, look, for him to have the intelligence and the positioning to sniff out
04:29
that pass and then make the pass forward to Cunha. I mean, he was looking for Geddes,
04:33
wasn't he? Let's be honest. Of course he was looking for Geddes. I don't think many people
04:35
mentioned that, but we will mention that. It's fine. As long as he found a Wolves man and look
04:39
in the nicest possible way, you want Cunha over the ball in that situation. If it went to Geddes,
04:44
I don't think we might've been talking about a potential 2-2. You never know, but I don't think
04:48
so. It was, it was, it was getting that pass out there and just hitting that channel, hitting that
04:53
channel, which is very important where you've got guys running onto the ball. Yeah. It might
04:56
have been for Geddes, but at the same time to have the intelligence to do that. I know, you know,
05:00
you're right in the end, the last few seconds, dying seconds of the game, but at the same time
05:03
to recover and to get the ball out there. Fantastic. And that's only give him massive
05:07
confidence and look, whether Wolves go to a two in midfield and three up top, and we'll be coming
05:11
to that in the middle against Crystal in a moment against Crystal Palace or not, you know, Tommy
05:16
Doyle has put himself right in that discussion now, hasn't he?
