00:00This this idea of learning from the past, I mean, you've all had experience in the Middle East, Iraq, no least.
00:07We saw what happened when the U.S. and its allies went in on the pretense of weapons of mass destruction.
00:14And that turned into a disaster. Can you bomb your way to peace?
00:19No, Linda. And look, President Trump, this administration, made clear in the president's Riyadh remarks,
00:26what has long been signaled that the era post 9-11 of quixotic regime change, nation building, democracy building efforts at the cost of U.S. and other blood and treasure is over.
00:46It's finished. It has no support from the majority of Americans.
00:51It has no support from this administration.
00:53And I would say to you, if Joe Biden had had a second term, I don't believe his policies in this regard would be significantly different.
01:03And yet if he does go in and is not a U.S.
01:07Executes this strike, as he says he's thinking about, isn't that exactly what he's doing?
01:13No, it is not exactly what he's doing.
01:15He has made clear his efforts.
01:18Whatever rhetoric comes from various individuals in the Israeli government, and there's a spectrum of expression,
01:25his objective is the enrichment program itself and bringing this to a close.
01:31But it is more than just the enrichment program.
01:34The president wants to see stability established in the Middle East.
01:38He is not happy with Gaza.
01:41He is not happy with the inability to get a Saudi deal.
01:44And he is certainly not happy with what looks like a continued, endless campaign in Iran.
