00:00I just wanted to pick up on something our last guest was saying, Seema, when she was talking about the state within Tehran at the moment and what people are going through and the economy.
00:11I found this fascinating that Iran's annual GDP is around $418 billion. And that is with a country that has 94 million people. Why is GDP so low in such a big country?
00:30Simply because of sanctions. Okay. And also because the huge restrictions that they're putting on sanctions. And as like, you know, that's well known that for everyone that Iran, you know, under the blacklist.
00:50So, and the sense that they cannot export or import any things, even the 1.4 million barrel of oil that they sell in daily basis, they sell it at discounted prices.
01:05So, you know, some, you know, like estimation, they say like 50% discount of the market price. Some other estimation, they say 60%. And all this goes to where? To China.
01:18So they get to sell. So they're not really getting.
