00:15but what would you say you're looking for in your next partner?

00:20But personality-wise, you know, somebody who is consistent, loyal,

00:26has a lot of consideration, you know, has that inside of them.

00:31Agreeable, you know, she wants to work things out, wants to work on us,

00:34you know, showing that that matters.

00:38We watched you get your heart broken on the last resort.

00:40That wasn't that long ago.

00:42So I assume you're still going through divorce proceedings?

00:44How's that going?

00:45It is going.

00:46You know, us getting divorced is obviously what is happening, going to happen.

00:52I mean, I did everything I could to hold on to that marriage,

00:56and I still was left standing with nothing.

01:00So what's best for me is to move on.

01:04And the reality is that even though I was married for like two years,

01:07where we were together,

01:09it was a good year and a half of that period of time where we weren't together.

01:13Well, after the last resort, it was probably like eight months

01:15before I actually showed up here for Hunt for Love.

01:17So like in total, I was like, I was alone for almost two years

01:21and felt like I'd been alone long enough.

01:25So once it was like, you know, Sophie isn't the way I can go

01:29and that's not going to happen, like that's over, I was ready to move on.

01:33And what does that mean for her visa?

01:34Now that, you know, she was here for, what, a couple years?

01:38Does that mean she gets to stay?

01:39Is she going back to England?

01:41As far as her visa, she is good for 10 years.

01:43So I guess the way it starts is if you show up and you get your visa,

01:47that they would give you a two-year visa.

01:49And then after two years, you go back and get a 10-year visa.

01:52She got the 10-year green card.

01:55Like, like you go back, I don't know, it's visa, green card,

01:57but she went back and she ended up getting the 10-year

01:59because she'd already spent two years.

02:00Even though you're divorcing?

02:03Well, that's, so she thinks she's going to stay put.

02:06I have a feeling she ain't going nowhere.

02:08When we first met you guys,

02:09there was a lot of talk about how much money Sophie's family had.

02:12And there's been some chatter online that maybe that is not really the case,

02:16that they're not as wealthy as people thought.

02:18Do you have any comment there?

02:20All I can say is that just because somebody says they have money

02:23does not mean they have anything to offer.

02:25I'm not in her family's pockets.

02:28Whatever money there is or isn't on her family's side

02:30has never paid a dime towards Sophie and I's relationship.

02:33It's kind of like a mute point.

02:35Her mom is not rich.

02:37Her mom does not know how to make money,

02:41how to keep money,

02:41how to spend money,

02:42how to be responsible.

02:43So, you know,

02:44there was times where the main person in her life

02:48who was telling her what to think and what to expect

02:50was somebody that was so hypocritically out of line

02:54to me that that also triggered me

02:56because of like I've only ever gotten

02:58and had the opportunity to do it on my own.

03:01oh, we come from money thing,

03:02but like,

03:03but you ain't got no money

03:04and you can't help anything.

03:06So how about let me do what I got to do

03:09to keep us going forward

03:11instead of,

03:12all the criticism.

03:14She was very critical of the bathroom situation

03:17in that there wasn't one in the apartment.

03:19I didn't know that was legal actually.

03:28on an untouched property

03:30on a mountain in Oregon.

03:33no running water,

03:34no electricity,

03:34like went up there to cultivate a property.

03:37The idea that that bathroom wasn't good enough.
