00:04With three weeks left to go, James Gunn and DC Studios' Superman is tracking to open in the $135 million range at the domestic box office.
00:13If that forecast is right, Superman would land high up on the list of DC openings.
00:18Although it would lag well behind 2016 Batman v Superman The Dawn of Justice, which opened to $166 million domestically, not adjusted for inflation.
00:26At the same time, it would come in ahead of the last solo Superman movie, 2013's Man of Steel, which opened to $116 million.
00:34It's worth noting insiders at DC Studios and Warner Bros. are being more conservative and suggesting a $90 to $125 million opening.
00:42On the opposite end of the spectrum, some box office experts who monitor social metrics speculate that Superman could open to as much as $175 million.
