00:00But what were your percentages as far as what you thought J.J.'s chances were to just two putt?
00:06Because I tried to teed up the best I could that I thought it was a hard, hard lag putt.
00:10Yeah, you know how we are in the booth.
00:12We're like scribbling notes back and forth to each other while we're on the air.
00:16And basically Terry Gannon, in fact, said put up like 50-50 on two putt, right?
00:21And then, you know, I'd seen that putt probably 10 times throughout the day.
00:25And most guys were getting it within four or five feet.
00:28It wasn't like it was impossible to get to a makeable second.
00:31But I kind of could, we had the same camera angle on everybody's putt.
00:35So I could kind of tell when it crested the ridge whether the speed was good or not.
00:38And so Dan is kind of leading as it's rolling, like, you know, needs a two putt to win the U.S. Open.
00:45And it crests the hill.
00:46And I'm like, oh, man, this is perfect speed.
00:49Like, it's not going, it's a two putt, right?
00:51And I just stick my thumb up right in front of Dan's face like, it's good.
00:55Yeah.
00:56And because I know he's got to make some crazy big moment right there if it does something good.
01:00And none of us, nobody in that booth was thinking this putt's going in, right?
01:04You're not thinking it.
01:05No one in America is thinking it.
01:06And so I'm like, what is Dan going to say if it goes in as it's rolling and hits the pin?
01:10And he goes, how about one?
01:12And I thought that was the coolest call ever.
01:15So kudos to Dan for being out.
01:18That's why he's so good at what he does.
01:19And he filled in perfectly in that spot.
01:21I would have been like, what just happened, you know, on air in an incredible watching
01:26him go after that.
01:28Yeah, it's incredible.
01:29It's incredible to see that he can just roll with it and know the situation.
01:33And that's why he's such a good guy at that.
01:36But yeah, I would say 50 50 on three putt is what we were guessing in the booth.
01:40I wanted to see like the inside cam reaction of all four of you guys after the putt went
01:45in.
01:46I just wanted to see you guys just, you know, stand up and just try to keep your composure
01:51knowing that Dan's got this call.
01:53But at the same time, you probably just witnessed one of the most, gosh, I don't know if there's
02:00going to be anything that ever tops it on an 18 green for a long time for a major championship.
02:05The one that comes to mind for me is, is the 2008 on Torrey Pines with Tiger Woods, the
02:11putt he had to make.
02:12But golly, I mean, where does this stack up for you?
02:17Dude, it's got to be at the top for me to win the first major when the US Open, like
02:22six, I don't remember, I don't even know exact footage of the putt, but it had to be over
02:2560 feet.
02:26And it went in like a two footer, dude.
02:28It was like perfect speed, dead middle.
02:30So, uh, I mean, it's just incredible to me that, you know, when you saw it, I saw another
02:36angle from the other side of the hole and I know you were talking it up about how hard
02:40the putt was, but it breaks a lot late.
02:43Oh God.
02:43Yeah.
02:44And, uh, I mean, it was out there like six feet left of the hole at one point.
02:48And I'm like, how did he know this is going in?
02:50But, uh, I mean, it went in, it would have gone in a thimble.
02:53And as far as I'm concerned, you know, Tigers was incredible and we see that putt roll how
02:58many times and it's bouncing all over the place and goes in.
03:02But, uh, you know, situationally knowing what JJ was trying to accomplish in his first major
03:08championship, I think it's probably top of the list.
