00:08 Talk to us about how it started the night before and then you and Joel Damon, y'all

00:13 just schemed up just great television.

00:15 Yeah.

00:16 Well, I'll give you the full rundown.

00:18 If you're okay.

00:19 Yeah.

00:20 If you're okay with, this might take 20 minutes to get through.

00:25 So this starts, I think I was maybe four or five under after Friday.

00:33 And this starts on Friday because I get paired Friday night, we get a text with Keith Mitchell

00:39 and somebody else.

00:40 I think we were still in threesomes.

00:43 And Keith immediately upon us getting our tea time text realizes we're together.

00:47 He says, you know, this is, we have to do something.

00:50 We have to do something on 16.

00:52 And then, you know, I say, obviously Keith, I'm so excited.

00:58 Sure bud, whatever you think we can have a little bit of fun on 16.

01:01 Yada, yada, yada.

01:03 About 15 minutes later, he goes, why don't you just take your shirt off?

01:07 And I immediately say, no, I'm not doing that.

01:09 I'm not.

01:10 And then he thought I was worried about the fine.

01:15 So then he spent the whole evening and the better part of the next day, Saturday morning,

01:20 raising money from my fellow tour players to pay my fine.

01:24 It's like, dude, I'm not worried about the fine.

01:27 I don't want to be the guy that took his shirt off on 16 at Scottsdale to hasten the story

01:35 up just a little bit.

01:36 I played very poorly on Saturday, as you can see now, Joel and I are teeing up in a twosome

01:41 off 10 on Sunday.

01:44 I played poorly on Saturday.

01:45 I'll never forget.

01:46 We're off to that tee.

01:47 And I think I just birdied 15 to get the honor from Keith and whomever else was with us.

01:53 And I teed off and I hit it on the green, probably like 20 feet.

01:56 And I remember then he goes, and I'm just standing over by the bag and he kind of walks,

02:02 he hits and hits a decent shot and walks back to his bag.

02:06 And he's staring at me like, you remember what I said?

02:09 No words were spoken, but I could tell by the look that he was trying to get me to do

02:15 it.

02:16 I'm like, I'm not doing this.

02:17 Like, no, no chance.

02:18 Not doing it.

02:19 Not doing it.

02:20 So I did.

02:21 I walked up there and I two putted and we went about our day.

02:23 Fast forward.

02:24 You know, I'm now in 60th someplace and the text comes in Saturday night that I am paired

02:32 with just Joel Damon.

02:35 Last group off the 10th on Sunday.

02:39 And then Joel doesn't, which is a death march.

02:41 Yes, very, very long day.

02:46 Joel doesn't go do it as direct as Keith does.

02:51 Joel about an hour after we realized we're playing together, we hadn't spoken or nothing.

02:57 And I see that he has tweeted.

03:00 If this gets enough retweets or likes, you know, Harry Higgs is going to give the people

03:05 what they want and take his shirt off on 16.

03:08 And I didn't even text him nothing.

03:11 You know, I saw him the next morning and I'm like, dude, really, why, why you got to do

03:14 that?

03:15 I'm not doing this.

03:16 I'm never doing this.

03:17 I will never, ever, ever, ever do it.

03:19 He's just planting the seed.

03:20 He is.

03:21 And he was trying to be all coy that, you know, I, well, I didn't put a number to it.

03:25 We could have said it needed a million retweets to do it.

03:28 And it's like, dude, come on.

03:29 So we're last off fricking 10, uh, twosome.

03:34 And I remember teeing off, hitting the fairway, going about our day.

03:38 Uh, and then by the time we got to the 10th green.

03:40 So we had what five holes until we got to 16, um, or maybe six holes.

03:48 I'm not great at math.

03:49 Uh, and by every, by the time we got to the 10th green, every green and T I mean, multiple

03:55 people, but at least someone was screaming out, did it get enough retweets?

03:59 Are you guys going to do it?

04:02 And everybody around that I could hear that said it.

04:06 And then I know if I noticed them, I was just saying, no, absolutely not.

04:10 Uh, we get to 16 and they're all chanting, take your shirt off, take your shirt off,

04:16 show some skin, show some skin.

04:18 Um, Joel goes first.

04:21 It's a great shot.

04:22 I'm all amped up and I fly it over the green.

04:24 Uh, this is a fricking pot for par that you guys are seeing.

04:28 Uh, this is not birdie.

04:30 No, this is a car.

04:32 I made a car on the whole.

04:35 So I, I juice it up.

04:37 I don't think I flew the green.

04:38 I think I one hopped over the green.

04:39 I get back there and I have a really poor lie.

04:42 I ain't chipping it in front of all these people.

04:44 So I grabbed my putter, whack it up there and make sure I get it at least onto the green.

04:48 Uh, obviously it goes about 12 feet.

04:51 Joel's shot had ended literally on the same line, about a foot further away.

04:56 So Joel goes first.

04:59 Joel leaves it short from about 13 feet for birdie.

05:04 Um, and I had some choice words for him under our breath.

05:07 You know, the only us could hear.

05:11 And then, so now it's my turn, right?

05:13 I've got a 12 some odd foot, whatever it is, pot for par for freaking par.

05:20 And as I am reading the pot and as I get over it, everybody is just chanting, take it off

05:26 or show some skin, right?

05:27 The whole, I mean, it's 30,000 people just chaining one thing.

05:30 Um, the problem was that as soon as I hit the pot after getting to see a little bit

05:36 of the line, uh, from Joel, as soon as I hit the pot, I knew it was in the hole.

05:40 And I swear to you, it took what felt like two minutes for me for it to go in.

05:46 So I swear, I felt like I had two minutes to decide in this moment, like, are you going

05:52 to do this?

05:53 Are you actually going to do this?

05:54 No way.

05:55 I'm going to do this.

05:56 I'm not going to do this.

05:57 I've told everybody I wouldn't do this.

05:58 I don't want to be the guy that does this.

06:00 Maybe I will do it now.

06:01 Maybe I won't.

06:02 Maybe I will.

06:03 Maybe I won't.

06:04 But as it's dropping, I just, and to clarify, as you can see, I never actually took mine

06:10 off.

06:11 I only lifted my shirt.

06:12 Um, but I obviously lifted my shirt and then kudos to Joel.

06:18 After I go and get my ball out of the hole, I turn around and he is fully taking his shirt

06:26 off.

06:27 So he's a good man.

06:28 He did not let me, he did not let me do that alone.

06:31 We enjoyed it and it's really about this time we realized obviously there's beers flying.

06:36 It's like, Oh, we got to get off this hole.

06:38 This is not, this is not really that safe.

06:41 Uh, yeah.

06:42 And then we just kind of mosey through the tunnel on 17.

06:45 We, uh, we put our clothes back on, uh, and we finished the rest of the day.
