New Delhi, June 19, 2025 (ANI): President of the Chintan Research Foundation, Shishir Priyadarshi says, "Pranav Adani gave a very inspirational and directional message to all of us. We have to convert that message into action now. Chintan Research Foundation cannot be limited to a big city like Delhi. India has many such cities. India has many such regions. 00:00In the day of CRSF, what do you have to say about it?
00:04It's a milestone for the organization.
00:06Look, I'm genuinely delighted that we are celebrating the first Foundation Day of Chintan Research Foundation.
00:16Yeh Gautam Adani Ji ki hi blessings or visions se sthaapit hua hai.
00:22And we've had a very, very busy, I must say, last six, seven, eight months setting it up,
00:28registration process, hiring, office, etc.
00:32But we are very, very happy today.
00:34It's like the first birthday of a child and we are delighted.
00:39But we also know ki di journey ahead for CRF is a long journey.
00:44We've got to establish ourselves in the areas that we have taken up.
00:48Climate change is going to be a very important vertical for us.
00:52Geopolitics, again, is an area we're going to focus on.
00:54And obviously, global economy these days is there.
00:58But overall, I must say that today is the real start of CRF's evidence-based, people-centric development research.
01:09Sir, why is the Research Foundation important?
01:14Especially today, when our voices need to be, there should be a strong voice from India telling the world what we are doing.
01:21I think there are two important reasons for this.
01:26One is, you know, think tanks must ask the tough questions.
01:31These are tough questions that you must ask.
01:34You must ask policymakers.
01:35You must ask government.
01:37You must ask other civil society organizations.
01:39And it is only by asking the tough questions that you will lead or head towards the right answers.
01:47So I think think tanks, which are independent, which have editorial integrity like CRF does, are essential.
01:55The second very, very important reason is that very often India's growth story is viewed from a lens which is not entirely without its biases.
02:06It is viewed much more often for negative things.
02:09And we need think tanks, which can project India's growth story, particularly the narrative that is required for India as it becomes a developed country by 2047.
02:22Sir, Mr. Adani laid out several points on what needs to be done going forward.
02:27We have to move out of Delhi, where the focus should be on people's development, what needs to be done, sir.
02:33How is expansion going to be for CRF, sir?
02:37Look, Mr. Pranav Adani gave a very inspirational and directional message to all of us.
02:44We have to now convert that message into action.
02:50CRF cannot be limited to a big city like Delhi.
02:54India has many such cities.
02:57India has many such regions.
02:58Each region has a very different population and a very different concern and problems.
03:04And we have to ensure that CRF reaches out in every Indian region before looking abroad.
03:11We will also go abroad.
03:13We will also start a track 2.0 diplomacy with many countries that India has bilateral relations.
03:19But we will definitely be looking at every part of India.
03:23Sir, how is India's growth story looking right now?
03:27Oh, unbelievably positive.
03:29I mean, I think I am privileged, I am genuinely privileged to be leading a think tank which is supported by a visionary like Mr. Gautam Adani ji.
03:39And at a time when India's growth story, when the way India is poised to go from a 4 trillion to a 30 trillion economy, I am delighted to be, make my own very small contribution through the work of CRF.
03:55What should be the focus right now of a country?
03:57Where should, what will be the challenges going forward and where should be?
04:01Look, there are many challenges.
04:04I mean, we cannot shy away from them.
04:05I think the biggest challenge, if you ask me to identify one, is to ensure that growth and prosperity is equitable.
04:14We may become a 5 and a 10 trillion dollar economy.
04:18But the most important thing is that this developmental growth must reach the last person, the last village, the last community.
