00:00Here I am at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh and people here are used to
00:06travelling on motorways and dual carriageways. They take it for granted but
00:10in the Highlands in the north of Scotland we don't have that luxury and
00:13we don't have that safety and that's why I've campaigned for 26 years as the MSP
00:20for Inverness and Nairn for better safer roads for the people of the north of
00:26Scotland and it's a great source of sadness that the SNP government starting
00:33well with Alex Salmon's promise to dual the A9 by 2025 and a dual carriageway for
00:39the A96 including the Nairn bypass by 2030 that these promises made in good
00:46faith have been broken. It's simply not acceptable and it must now be the
00:53Highlands turn for that investment so I'm standing next year as your
00:59independent voice to be the MSP for Inverness and Nairn and to get that job
01:05done. For me the dual safer roads are unfinished business.
