00:00The first thing I'd say is that this is a really serious situation.
00:04It is very volatile. It is fast-moving.
00:06And the Prime Minister and the Foreign Secretary are monitoring it incredibly closely.
00:11They are calibrating our response minute by minute, day by day.
00:16But what I would say is that we've been really clear that our priority is to de-escalate,
00:21to try and get people around the negotiating table so that we can find a diplomatic solution to this.
00:26And so every call that the Prime Minister makes, every lever that the UK government have,
00:30our influence is being used to deliver that objective.
00:33But unless you have governments like ours who are absolutely focused on diplomacy and achieving that outcome,
00:39we will not get there.
00:41And so that is our objective. That is what we're focusing on.
00:44And candidly, war is not good for any part of the country, of the world.
00:50This will have an impact on the Middle East and in the end civilians that get caught in that crossfire.
00:56But it also has reverberations across the globe.
00:58So the priority has to be stopping that escalation.
01:02And that is what we are absolutely focused on.
