00:00I think we have to be very clear about the threat from Iran.
00:03Our own naval ships in the Red Sea were recently attacked by the Houthis with weapons supplied by Iran.
00:08They are a very serious threat, and the idea of them having a nuclear weapon is not something we would want to see.
00:13So we understand why Israel has taken the action they have,
00:16and I think I wouldn't want to be drawn in speculation on what the Americans might do,
00:20but clearly the language is getting stronger, and our view is, you know, in principle, we wouldn't rule out supporting them.
00:27If they took the view that on the base of the intelligence they'd seen, it was necessary to support Israel.
00:32We understand why the Israelis have taken the action they have.
00:35After all, the regime in Iran has threatened to wipe them off the face of the earth.
00:38It could be existential for Israel.
00:39If the U.S., as our closest military ally, and it's only an if at this stage,
00:44if they take the view they should be supporting that,
00:46then I think we would be prepared to, you know, support that politically as well.
