New Delhi, June 13, 2025 (ANI): In this episode of the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Ambassador Azar spoke about Israel’s recent strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities. He claims that Iran was assembling nuclear warheads with the help of a clandestine group, and says that Israel is acting to defend not just itself, but the world. In the podcast, Ambassador Azar revealed that there are confirm reports that over 100 drones launched by Iran will reach Iran in seven hours.

00:00More than 100 drones have been launched from Iranian territory towards Israel.

00:06This will take about seven hours to get into Israel.

00:09Probably it will be combined with the strike of ballistic missiles,

00:12like they did last April, or even more.

00:16We are in a situation that not only Iran has accumulated thousands of ballistic missiles,

00:21but it had a program to build 10,000 ballistic missiles in the next three years

00:26and 20,000 ballistic missiles in the next six years.

00:29So any country, not only Israel, but any country in the region, and actually in the world,

00:34would be under a threat of a radical regime that is equipped with thousands of ballistic missiles

00:41carrying one-ton payload, each that could even actually be armed with a nuclear weapon.

00:49We are defending ourselves, but by defending ourselves we are basically defending the world.

00:56There are unconfirmed reports that missile strike is imminent on Israel now.

01:26According to intelligence, we gathered it was corroborated by our allies to build 10,000 ballistic missiles in the next three years,

01:35and 20,000 ballistic missiles in the next six years.

01:38So any country, not only Israel, but any country in the region, and actually in the world,

01:43would be under a threat of a radical regime that is equipped with thousands of ballistic missiles carrying one-ton payload,

01:52for each that could even actually be armed with a nuclear weapon.

01:59We are defending ourselves, but by defending ourselves we are basically defending the world from this terrible regime

02:07that actually is committed to destroy us.

02:11Now, I talked about two aspects.

02:13There is also a third aspect of their plan to destroy us, and that is their proxy war.

02:17As you know, in the last 18 months, we have been dealing with attacks from Iranian proxies, like Hezbollah,

02:25that accumulated 150,000 missiles, like their militias in Iran, in Syria, in Yemen, etc., Hamas.

02:34So that proxy threat was mostly dealt with.

02:38And now we are dealing with the heart of the most dangerous program of weapons of mass destruction.

02:45So Operation Rising Lion, so this podcast, let's restrict that conversation because we have limited time with you.

02:52Ambassador, quick clarification on your opening statement.

02:55So the immediate intelligence you're saying is that Israel found out that a clandestine unit of the Iranian IRGC,

03:03or whichever the equivalent is over there that handles with tactical nuclear weapons,

03:08they were in the process of pairing a nuclear warhead with a ballistic missile?

03:12Yes.

03:13Which, then that is something that happened overnight, that you received this intelligence?

03:17No, this has been happening in the last few months, and we got to the conclusion that we cannot wait anymore,

03:24and we have to prepare the grounds.

03:25Look, the Iranians have been stalling for time for many years, okay?

03:28They have been conducting negotiations with the international community, and actually, as you know,

03:33they have been conducting negotiations with the United States in the last few months,

03:37and while doing that, they were arming a nuclear weapon.

03:41So we got to the conclusion, this is an Israeli operation, but we are fully coordinated with the United States,

03:47and the United States knows this information, and therefore took precautions, as you probably saw,

03:52of taking their personnel out of bases around the Middle East.
