We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about the teachers who have made the biggest difference to their life.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name's Theo Hewson Betts. Today I'm going out onto the
00:03streets of Manchester to ask people about Thank A Teacher Day. It's a very, very simple one,
00:07hopefully a nice video for you too. We want to know if there's a particular teacher that has
00:11meant a lot to someone, whether it's their kids' teacher or someone who meant a lot to them.
00:15I mean, currently Mrs Evans, yep, she looks after our son and, yeah.
00:20Four-year-old. Five-year-old. Oh yes, turned five last week, yeah, yeah.
00:24Uh, Wynne Moran, um, she was my college teacher, A-level drama. Uh, huge inspiration, um, wonderful person,
00:33like, almost like a mum as much as a teacher. Wonderful, great, inspiring, um, got me into
00:39some really interesting theatre, away from kind of like the standard stuff that you'd normally do, so yeah.
00:44And I would say Mr Simpson is my eldest son's teacher who helped him through difficult times.
00:51He was very good. He was quite a scary teacher on the face of it, but in terms of his pastoral
00:57abilities, it was fantastic.
