Best of Glasgow at Kelvingrove.
Transcript
00:00Hello, I am Caitlin Wright and this is my Best of Glasgow.
00:03My favourite restaurant is Bibb and Bat, the one in the city centre.
00:07I think it's Gordon Street. I've never had a bad meal there.
00:10And it's not too expensive, so I can go fairly often.
00:14My favourite pub is McKeel's.
00:17Good fun, good vibe, bands playing all the time, it's a good place for a gig.
00:21My favourite cafe would be Zeno on Duke Street in Deniston.
00:26I love the design, it's kind of like industrial, raw feel.
00:30My favourite venue is the Badalan Ballroom.
00:34My favourite building in Glasgow is on High Street.
00:37It's kind of at the centre, it's this really narrow Edwardian looking building.
00:42But it's the old British linen company bank building, I think.
00:47I passed it for years and I've always thought it was very interesting.
00:51My favourite Glasgow artist is Brogale.
00:56They are a folk band, indie folk, from Falkirk.
01:03But they do play in Glasgow a lot, kind of started out there, so I think they count.
01:07My favourite Glasgow neighbourhood is Deniston, because I live there.
01:12However, I've spent some time in Shawlands recently and I really like it there.
01:17I would honestly move there. My Glasgow hero is Margaret MacDonald Macintosh,
01:25who is the wife of Charles Renny Macintosh.
01:28His designs are all over the city and I love seeing them.
01:32But apparently a lot of it is actually her.
01:34She actually had a massive role to play in the design as well.
01:38The extent of which we do not know, because he was maybe the face.
