I tried Angel Hair chocolate now available in Morrisons

00:00today i wanted to talk to you about this this is angel hair i picked it up for five pounds

00:12from morrison's and it's just been released and it is the latest viral chocolate sensation you

00:19might have seen it on some of your social media platforms and that's where i've seen it it's um

00:25i think it's jumping on the back of this dubai chocolate bandwagon it's got pistachio cream you

00:31can probably just see that there but the difference is it has also got what they call cotton candy

00:36candy floss from turkey apparently and um strawberry flavored chocolate so it's not very big as you can

00:45see it's probably the size of a packet of cigarettes something like that um it is quite dense um trying

00:53to see how much it weighs not very clear to see but it is quite heavy and it's quite dense so i have

01:01no idea if this is going to be good or bad i'm hoping it's going to be really tasty

01:07um and i'm hoping that it looks like it shows on the packet uh because that looks really quite funky

01:14um but yeah let's get it open and see so when you take the first layer of cardboard off it comes

01:21wrapped in this gold foil which is quite nice isn't it so let's see what's in case so this is what it

01:27looks like when you open the foil and immediately you get quite um a strong smell of strawberry um

01:34i've got to say i'm impressed so far so i've got a knife i'm going to cut it in the middle

01:39and let's see what it looks like if there's some nice layers of mess of that it didn't cut very nicely

01:46maybe because i've gone down the middle and not down one of the grooves but

01:49that it looks i shouldn't say this but the candy floss kind of looks like some insulation

01:58like in your house that you would find you know in like your loft or something

02:02that's why it's like the angel hair though isn't it i mean it looks kind of dry

02:07but i have high hopes for this

02:16right it's collapsed even more when i've tried to separate it so

02:19i will mark it i've not tasted it yet i'll mark it down though

02:23because it comes beautifully presented and then the minute you try to actually get into the thing

02:29it looks like a right mess right here's my messy chocolate as i said i've tried to section it off

02:35but it's very difficult even to get a very sharp knife through because of the consistency of the candy

02:41floss it just won't come apart so you have to tear it now i haven't tried it but i will do

02:47so i'm going to try and get a piece with a bit of everything and see what i think

02:53i'm not sure about it um there's a lot of different textures going on which

03:01you might think would work when i first bit into it

03:07you know i made the comment about it looks like insulation that you might find in your loft

03:12it's very dry and it's not like candy floss that you get on a stick that just melts in your mouth

03:18it kind of stays hard and that's quite an off-putting sensation

03:23um and then you've got the pistachio cream which i quite like it's nice

03:30but unlike the dubai chocolate where there's some texture within that it isn't this is quite smooth

03:37so you've got the hard candy floss which sounds strange the very smooth cream and then you've got

03:46the chocolate which now it's a hot day so this is softer than this you know it's been been left in

03:52room temperature quite a warm room temperature so it started to go in a little bit soft if you put

03:56this in the fridge it might be better um the pink chocolate actually i was a bit worried about

04:01because i've had strawberry flavored chocolate before and it's just been absolutely naff it's

04:05actually okay it's quite creamy that's quite pleasant it's just the main selling point of

04:10this lets it down which is the cotton candy the candy floss the actual angel hair itself is not for me

04:17um so sadly this has failed to live up to expectations um it looks a mess when you try

04:26and open it it comes beautifully it looks a mess when try and open it it's a mess to eat i mean look

04:32at that that is that's a mess to eat and you've got to like yeah and it's just not

04:41it's just not the sensation it's just a funny weird sensation on your teeth not for me sorry i won't
