00:11food reviews. This is season three, we're doing pepperoni pizzas and I'm about to head

00:14across town towards the Moorbrook to try out their pizza, see what it's like. It's more

00:19of a pub place so I don't really know what to expect in terms of pizza, kind of like

00:24you think of more pizzerias and restaurants but British pubs are doing more and more pizzas

00:28these days, it's a nice kind of USP for a lot of them to take on so really keen to see

00:32what that's like. Come and join me as I walk across Preston and grab myself a pizza from

00:54Hi guys, so when I left here I was just

00:56heading into the Moorbrook to order my pizza, get a bit of a takeaway pizza and I'm about

01:01to officially try it out and I've had it now and the scores are in, I've done my rating.

01:05I've got to say I was really, really impressed by this place. Now when you go into a traditional

01:10British pub you don't immediately think yeah this is a place that's going to do some classical

01:14authentic Neapolitan pizza but I thought it was really quite good so that was a really

01:19nice surprise. I'll start off with the dough, the dough I'm giving a 3.5 out of 5 for, it

01:24was nice, it had a nice little kind of not too thick, not too thin, it could have used

01:29a bit more like a classic floppy bite to it. I guess that was the only thing, the crusts

01:36were nice and charred so that was good, the only complaint is that it just could have

01:39had that more classic pizza dough flop to it but I'm nitpicking really, it was really

01:44nice, the flavour was okay, it had a nice flavour to it but yeah 3.5 out of 5. Onto

01:49the cheese and the sauce, the cheese was excellent, really, really good, nice stringy

01:53bites, nice coverage, had like a nice, I don't have to say this without sounding like it's

01:59bad but it had like a nice oiliness to it, not loads it wasn't swamped but it had like

02:03a nice kind of fresh oiliness to it where it wasn't like dry and plasticky, that was

02:08really good. The sauce was nice as well, I could have done with a bit more sauce, I'm

02:12giving it a 4 out of 5 because of that really, it would have been a 5 out of 5, it's just

02:15a little bit more sauce on there to add to the flavour profile but still 4 out of 5.

02:19The toppings, this is up there with some of the best pepperoni we've had so far in

02:22this season, it was just really, really flavoursome, it was really, well not really spicy, it has

02:27more spice than you'd usually expect from the pepperoni especially compared to the other

02:32pepperoni we've had so far in this season but it was just really tasty, it was nice

02:35thick bits, thick discs if I can get my words out of pepperoni so that was a nice touch

02:41as well, it was a proper bite to it, proper flavour, proper like mouthful of pepperoni

02:45that was good, it wasn't just tiny insignificant saltiness, it was really good so 5 out of

02:505. Vibe of the place, 5 out of 5 as well, really nice in there, classic British pub,

02:55polished brass, Sky Sports News on the telly, a few people having a cheeky pint at lunch

02:59time, just really nice, staff were nice, it was prompt service, authentic, just good vibes

03:06in there, really nice vibes, can't fault it, 5 out of 5. And then finally we're coming

03:10onto the value for money, now I paid £10.50p for this pizza, it was a 10 inch pizza so

03:16not massive like standard, I've had it for lunch, I don't feel like I'm weighed down

03:20or about to fall asleep and have a nap or anything, yeah it was ok, I'm giving it a

03:253 out of 5 for that, I think it's alright but I think usually for something like that

03:29I'd be leaning more towards wanting change from a tenner if I'm honest but the quality

03:34was good, satisfaction was high eating it, it was nice, high scores, I'm giving them

03:39a total of 20.5 out of 25, so that's a really nice score, I was nice, like I said nice surprise
