00:00Here I've got the Aldi Village Bakery Mystery Flavour Hot Cross Buns. I was looking for

00:13these down the bakery aisle, but they were actually in a massive bin, for want of a better

00:20word, near the tills. So if you go in, that's where they are. There's two of them for £99

00:27and the idea is that you've got to guess the flavour, so that's exactly what I'm going to do.

00:46packet. There's little bits of fruit, I don't know if it's a raisin, sultana, which is traditional.

00:55It looks a little bit flat in my opinion, but not chocolate. It says on the packet there,

01:01don't be fooled by the pack colour. So it's got quite a strong, I think a citrusy smell,

01:12but I'm going to halve it now, put it in the toaster and see what I think to the taste.

01:16Just before I do put it in the toaster, that is the inside of it.

01:23I don't know, do they look like sultanas? I think they probably do.

01:31While that is in the toaster, this is cheating, but look, it says on the back,

01:39mixed fruit. So we can see that we've got apple juice in there, concentrated apple puree.

01:48We've got mango puree, concentrated pineapple juice, blueberry concentrate. I'm sure somewhere

01:55I've seen something about, there we go, strawberry concentrate. So yeah, that's cheating. I know it's

02:03cheating, but I think the flavours will be very hard to distinguish. We'll see. So here we've got

02:13the halved, toasted and buttered hot cross buns. So I'm going to try them and see what I think,

02:20but the smell, now that they've been toasted, I think it's quite lemon and limey, quite citrusy.

02:27Definitely a citrus, a citrus flavour. I don't know whether to get a certain flavour, you need to put in all those other parts.

02:45It's difficult knowing that all those mixed fruits have gone into it, because I really can't taste

02:51any individually, and I wouldn't say it tastes of mixed fruit. It doesn't taste to me like a fruit salad.

02:57I think it tastes quite like lime. I think there's a lemon and lime thing going on here.

03:06And overall, I know I said they looked a little bit flat, but they're quite tasty, they are quite nice.
