Ahmedabad (Gujarat), June 17 (ANI): Following the tragic airplane crash in Ahmedabad, an extensive post-mortem examination was carried out with exceptional coordination and emergency response. The effort was marked by the swift mobilisation of medical teams in Gujarat and well-organised planning within a crucial timeframe. Once the medical teams were assembled, the focus quickly shifted to the systematic tagging and examination of the deceased. Teams were formed, locations designated, and work began in full swing during the night hours. Despite the emotional weight and logistical complexity of the task, the entire post-mortem process was completed in record time, highlighting not just the efficiency, but the dedication of the medical and forensic staff involved. The timely and coordinated efforts of the medical and forensic teams ensured a swift response to a tragic and challenging situation, bringing support to the ongoing investigation.

00:22When the government of Gujarat received the information regarding the airplane class at Ahmedabad,
00:30near the civil hospital campus, all the doctors from the each and every district parts from the
00:36Ahmedabad regional districts, we came here, including the doctors from the medical college,
00:43from the Vijay Medical College, Medical College from the Gandhinagar, Medical College from the
00:47Sola Civil. All the doctors we accumulated here and according to the golden hours periods,
00:54we had dedicated to the teams around 140 doctors were there in that team and we had assigned the duties.
01:04Once the medical teams were assembled, the focus quickly shifted to the systematic tagging
01:10and examination of the deceased. Teams were formed, locations designated,
01:16and work began in full swing during the night hours.
01:22We had tagged each and every dead bodies and then after we had started the post-mortem,
01:27post-mortem on the basis of the police inquest, we had divided the teams, first 10, first 10,
01:33and second 10. We had planned for the three portions, one in the trauma center,
01:38old post-mortem room and the other areas. All the doctors had started simultaneously the post-mortem
01:44as the inquests are coming. On the basis of the dead bodies conditions, we had planned each and every
01:51dead bodies from the Air India Crest. We had planned the DNA samples extracting from the dental team,
01:59extracting from the forensic team and each and every team have a one medical officer, one forensic expert,
02:06and one FSL person, one from the dental college. Despite the emotional weight and logistical
02:13complexity of the task, the entire post-mortem process was completed in record time, highlighting
02:21not just the efficiency, but the dedication of the medical and forensic staff involved.
02:26We had finished all these post-mortem within 13 hours. It is our great success for the government
02:34of Gujarat and it is a great teamwork from the government of Gujarat. We had finished all the
02:39tasks within the 13 hours, around about before 5 am early in the morning.
02:46The timely and coordinated efforts of the medical and forensic teams ensured a swift response to a
02:52tragic and challenging situation, bringing support to the ongoing investigation.
