00:00Everton's season has had its challenges
00:05but with Premier League safety easily secured
00:08and a sense of stability under David Moyes
00:10focus now turns to what's ahead this summer
00:14With financial pressures still lingering
00:17Everton may need to sanction some key departures
00:20Jared Brantwaite is attracting serious interest from top clubs
00:24and a significant offer could be too tempting to refuse
00:27Meanwhile the futures of Jack Harrison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin
00:31along with others remain uncertain with players linked two moves away
00:36But there's also room for careful reinvestment
00:40Moyes will likely prioritise proven hard-working players
00:43who can slot into his disciplined set-up
00:46Reinforcements in midfield and out wide seem likely
00:50especially with squad depth a clear issue during parts of the campaign
00:54Adding Premier League experience without breaking the bank
00:57could define their window
00:59And we spoke to Will Rooney of Liverpool World
01:02to explore the likely movements in and out of Goodison Park
01:06in the future as they move to Bramley Moor Dock
01:10in the coming months
01:12Will, on to Everton and in terms of their summer window
01:17and I would mention it's going to be a lot of change
01:20a lot of decisions to be made from Moyes and his team
01:23as to who stays
01:25and there's so many players on the edge of their contracts expiring as well
01:28How do they sort of navigate?
01:30You know, we mentioned the priorities of keeping that core group
01:33to try and make a big push
01:36because, you know, at the end of the day
01:38they've been really struggling down the bottom with the Premier League
01:40for too long now for Everton standards
01:42and Moyes has come in and, you know, he's signed the contract
01:45and he's made sure it's a good length contract as well
01:48to really push Everton forward
01:50you know, the new stadium
01:51so much is changing at the club
01:53they don't want to be settling for less
01:54you know, next season
01:56they want to really make a, you know, a strong push
01:59and the summer's so important for them
02:01Yeah, it's going to be
02:05we've discussed a few times
02:06it's going to be an interesting summer
02:08it's going to be interesting in terms of
02:09what funds are going to be available
02:12all now, we know that Everton have complied with PSR
02:15for the latest accounts
02:17so they don't have to worry about that
02:19but they still have to be careful
02:21they can't go out and obviously spend money
02:23like they have done in the past
02:25so
02:26David Moyes is going to have to try and prioritise
02:30he's going to maybe have to come to a couple of compromises as well
02:33when it comes to his recruitment
02:34as we say, 11
02:35I think it's 13, beg your pardon
02:37I was a contract now
02:39the current squad
02:4112 or 13
02:43but regardless
02:44it's a lot of players, isn't it?
02:47and
02:48you're going to have to try and keep some of those
02:50you're going to have to
02:52well, to doubt
02:53try and keep some of those
02:54do you try and
02:55tie down just a garner guy?
02:57I think everyone would say
02:58yes, you have to
02:59because he's been so important
03:00I've to lie to Corey
03:01I know some supporters would like
03:04Everton to move on
03:05but
03:05he is part of a core group
03:08and
03:09you've got to have a squad
03:10and you've got to have players
03:11that you can rely on
03:12and that's something that
03:14every Everton manager seems to
03:17do
03:18Jack Harrison has
03:20had
03:21a disappointing season
03:23one goal
03:25no assists
03:26but he is Premier League proven
03:28can David Moyes get more out of him
03:31than Sean Dykes did
03:33because there is a player there
03:34from what he did at Leeds
03:35and he's had a couple of good games
03:38in Nottingham Forest
03:39and Man City
03:41so there's decisions to make
03:44and as you say
03:44it's a balancing act
03:46if you get rid of these players
03:47who else can you bring in?
03:49who else can you bring in
03:49for the money and the wages
03:51because
03:52if you got rid of saying
03:54Abdullahi to Corey
03:54could you get
03:55two players in
03:56who are on his current wages
03:57or do you try and
03:59offer him
03:59a longer term deal
04:01for more security
04:02but
04:03it might not be
04:04as much
04:05as lucrative for him
04:07financially
04:08and you can go and
04:09stretch your budget
04:10a little bit more
04:11so there's all these
04:12different things
04:12for David Moyes
04:14and his recruiting staff
04:14to consider
04:15tackle schools
04:16that record
04:17you're not going to
04:18jock Jarrod Bramflees
04:20and Jake O'Brien
04:21wouldn't say
04:22no no that's fine
04:23you play
04:23naked pass
04:24because he didn't play
04:25a lot of football
04:25in the first half of the season
04:27and that's something to prove
04:28so
04:29it's a chance for Moyes now
04:32to have a look at another player
04:33and
04:34he might be a little bit wise
04:36about what he wants to do
04:37in the summer
04:37but
04:37come back to the original point
04:39yeah
04:39a sense of
04:40I can see him go and get
04:41getting one in the summer
04:43I can see him go and
