00:00:29The 2025 Motel FIM Superbike World Championship lands at the Mazzano World Circuit, Marco

00:00:37Simoncelli.

00:00:38Along the Mazzano Adriatico, opened in 1972, the circuit originally ran anticlockwise before

00:00:44changing direction to its current layout in 2007.

00:00:47World Superbikes first came to the venue in 1991 and have been one of the best attended

00:00:50events ever since.

00:00:59Aussie Carter-Thompson took the spoils in World Supersport 300 race won yesterday and

00:01:15timed his move to perfection for the win.

00:01:18The Australian used the slipstream down the back straight to great effect, to cross the

00:01:22line for a maiden victory ahead of a podium return for Marco Gaggi.

00:01:26The first time the Italian has been on the podium since 2023 and holding on to the final

00:01:30podium spot was Julio Garcia.

00:01:32The Spaniard scored his fifth podium of the season, holding off near-thrival Benyad Fernandes

00:01:37while former championship leader Jeffrey Bowes could only imagine a P9.

00:01:41Taking you through the 12-lap race to action as ever is Liam Hodgins and of course Steve

00:01:46English.

00:01:47And Steve, just looking at the weather out there, the wind has picked up ever so slightly even

00:01:51I know we are getting told it's two miles per hour wind speed out there but you see the

00:01:56flags blustering around quite a bit there and I was walking along here and it seemed

00:01:59a bit breezy in comparison to what it's had so far this weekend and of course air temperature

00:02:03just under these 52 degrees so a very warm day.

00:02:06Yeah it really is.

00:02:07Warm conditions out there for everyone and the breeze is a little bit welcome out there as

00:02:12for the 300 riders obviously tough conditions now different to what we had over the course

00:02:17of the weekend it just gets hotter and hotter as the day goes on and kicking things off here

00:02:22at a quarter past three it means that it's basically as hot as it will get through the course of the

00:02:27action and I think for these riders they know that can lead to issues out there on the track even

00:02:31for the 300 comes a very greasy track out there easy to make mistakes.

00:02:35Yeah trying to stay cool and calm and collected with the fan that is Carter Thompson riding high

00:02:40after yesterday's race one win and set the fastest lap to secure pole position for today and once he

00:02:45got through on Salvador to Carvone he was never headed again and he's now only 34 points off the

00:02:51championship leader.

00:02:52And for Ricardo it was a really good performance by him to be able to claim that race victory it's

00:02:57been coming for some time and he's been expected to be a race winner but certainly that one really was

00:03:02important for him to be able to he is a title contender but he needed to win that race.

00:03:06He did indeed he did it to perfection. Geoffrey Bowes championship leader coming into Muzano but

00:03:11lost it after his P9 yesterday not able to recover from his two long lap penalties but the 210 champion

00:03:17has won a race at every single round this year so you can imagine his determination will be as high

00:03:22as ever.

00:03:23Yeah it really will and for Geoffrey we know that he has that almost winner bust mentality and he knows that he

00:03:30doesn't have the long lap penalties so he should be able to stay up there at the front a little bit

00:03:34different to yesterday's race you have to keep an eye on the number six.

00:03:37Yeah indeed and keep an eye on the number 91 previous winner here in 2022 and was in the victory

00:03:42battle but was penalized three seconds for exceeding track limits on the final lap so dropped out of the

00:03:46points but there's a lot of fans here supporting Matteo Vinucci so expect him to try and rectify race one.

00:03:53Yeah Vinucci was quick in yesterday's race and like you said that track limits penalty dropped him down the order

00:03:57we've at least been able to see him back on form this season compared to last year and for Vinucci

00:04:02this is the opportunity he needs.

00:04:04Yes indeed P13 yesterday for Danny Mageda after a very good start he slipped back however

00:04:09it was the best result here for Mageda in his entirety of Muzano so picked up points yesterday

00:04:14and for the first time since race two in Asin he managed to get where he managed to get on the podium

00:04:18he picked up some points so important stuff from Mageda.

00:04:20Yeah it was and for Danny on that number 88 machine we'll see what he's able to do during the course of the

00:04:26race but uh he is a rider that can win races but uh yesterday he must have touched a little bit

00:04:32during the early stages.

00:04:34New championship leader after picking up his fifth podium in seven races consistency is the card

00:04:38for Julio Garcia and he managed to beat Benyat Fernandez by two hundreds of a second and he now

00:04:42leads Fernandez by four points.

00:04:44I've seen a lot of those Podina Kawasaki fan club t-shirts all the way around at this track.

00:04:48We have indeed there is Benyat Fernandez just about to start the podium yesterday to

00:04:53Garcia by only four points he's now off the championship lead the Spanish rookie will want

00:04:57to lose or won't want to lose any more points to Garcia so but quite the funny thing is we did

00:05:01see the 109 team out last night with Benyat's father and I just want to wish him and all the

00:05:06fathers back home a happy Father's Day and I know my dad Keith Olgens is there just lying on the sofa

00:05:10enjoying this one with his feet up and the sun is shining.

00:05:13Yeah and certainly for Benyat he's got his dad here and all of these 300 riders they know the

00:05:20pressure that's put on them over the course of a championship season the 109 team doing a good

00:05:24job to be able to keep Benyat on an even keel but more than anything else he's a very mature rider

00:05:29he's racing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup so even though after this round we're off until September

00:05:34for the 300 World Championship he'll be in the thick of competition all the way through the summer.

00:05:38Yeah he will be indeed a very bright prospect as Benyat Fernandes we just missed outside of the

00:05:44second row which is number 13 Roberto Fernandes no relation 11 races so far he's done in the

00:05:49Supersport 300 class and he's not managed to score any points so far so expect Roberto to try and

00:05:56go grab this with a golden opportunity.

00:05:58Yeah and I think that for Roberto on the outside that second row it's about trying to keep yourself

00:06:03in those leading positions we saw yesterday how important that was we saw how much of a challenge

00:06:07that is as well just because of the slip streams and the different groups around here but you need

00:06:11to keep yourself in those top 10 positions. Just saw Marco Gaggi there managed to pick up second

00:06:15place yesterday just missed out his first victory in the class however it was his first podium

00:06:20since Portima 2023 so expect more from the Italian in front of his home fans.

00:06:26On the outside of the third row of the Grids Humberto Meyer we've not really seen much of Humberto so

00:06:31far this weekend was promoted up one position after Matteo Vinicci's three-second penalty yesterday

00:06:38and he will be going from the outside of the third row of the grid as we're about to get the warm-up

00:06:42lap ready and started we're scanning across the front row of the grid Matteo Vinicci on the outside

00:06:47on the middle as Jeffrey Bose but started from pole position after taking his maiden victory yesterday

00:06:53here at the Mazzano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli it's Carter Thompson

00:07:09After picking up his first race win in World Supersport 300 yesterday in race number one Carter

00:07:14Thompson starts from pole position and the question is can he convert it into the double today he will

00:07:19come under threat from the rider in the middle of the front row former championship leader Jeffrey

00:07:23Bose who will want to wrestle back the championship lead from Julio Garcia the Spaniard starts in the

00:07:28middle of the second row Matteo Vinicci rounds out the front row of the great Italian winner here back

00:07:33in 2022 will need to make sure not to exceed track limits on the final lap the home hero has the pace

00:07:39for victory and a few riders out of position are Marco Gaggi yesterday's P2 finisher in the middle of row three

00:07:44and keep an eye out for row number four with Benyat Fernandez and David Salvador expect them to

00:07:49come through and taking you through the final race action of the day the World Supersport 300 from

00:07:53the Mazzano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is Liam Hodgins and Steve English

00:08:00so the riders make their way around the warm-up lap to start this 12-lapper World Supersport 300

00:08:05race number two from Mazzano and we had a good 20 rider battle for the win yesterday and we can expect

00:08:13more of the same today because the slipstream effect down the back street and especially with

00:08:17the wind speed picking up the riders will have to try and punch a hole in the air yeah there was a

00:08:23headwind in yesterday's race down in towards turn 11 and it did change the strategy quite a bit as

00:08:28the race went on spoke to a few of the 300 riders and they said that ideally you want to be in that

00:08:33fourth position coming out of turn 10 down the back straight on the last lap that seemed to be the

00:08:37optimum place but uh that changes around and race to race and day to day because the 300s it is about

00:08:43reacting to what's happening around you but Mazzano is a perfect circuit really for 300 racing yes

00:08:50indeed we've got a lot of scraps all the way throughout just seen their air temperature 31

00:08:54degrees track temperature 47 degrees it's sweltering out there under the Italian sun here at Mazzano just

00:09:00along the Mazzano Adriatico so it's a great day to go racing here on Sunday June the 15th and of course

00:09:07it's great to end proceedings here with some World Supersport 300 action as the riders make their way

00:09:13down the back straight where we did see the pass for victory here yesterday with David Salvador and

00:09:18Carter Thompson Thompson's swooping around the outside at Carvoni and he was never looking back as he

00:09:23swept through to his first victory in World Supersport 300 so 33 riders and total on the grid here today

00:09:32and of course that means we're going to have 33 of them hopefully making it all the way through this

00:09:3712 lapper and of course just remember two-thirds race distance comes up at lap number eight so if we

00:09:42get a red flag after that no points won't be awarded and we will have a result and hopefully for these

00:09:48riders there will be no incidents as we're now looking at the championship standards Garcia with his third

00:09:52place yesterday he did go to the top of the championship standards but Benja Fernandes if

00:09:56he hadn't snuck past on the line he would have gone to the top of the standings however he sits in second

00:10:01one point ahead of Jeffrey Bose but David Salvador losing a little bit of touch and his fifth place

00:10:05yesterday means he's now 25 points further back and if David Salvador wants to go into the second half

00:10:10of the season as a championship contender he really needs to start taking points off the top three yeah

00:10:14yesterday's race winner Carter Thompson only a further six points back in fifth position as well so for

00:10:20Carter let's see if he's able to build on that momentum from yesterday that first race win

00:10:25might just give him that extra confidence and he needs to make sure he's able to bring that form into

00:10:29the summer break yeah it will be indeed go happy to the holidays as the saying goes and motorcycle

00:10:35racing the number 50 with black helmet the MTM Kawasaki in the middle of the front row it's Jeffrey

00:10:40Bose the two-time champion on the orange KTM and on the outside it's the yellow the white Yamaha the number

00:10:4691 of Matteo Vinicci who has droves of fans coming out to support him here today so race number two 12

00:10:52laps World Supersport 300 action ready to get a race and regs are now rising the red lights are on once

00:10:58they go out we will be on the way great start from the middle of the front row welcome to number six

00:11:02that's Jeffrey Bose and Carter Thompson from pole position so the top two they're off and running oh

00:11:06star line crash there hopefully everybody's okay it looks like there might be three regs involved there

00:11:11and then it also looked like it might have been Felix Milja yeah it looks like it was good spot there

00:11:16Steve at the front it is now Carter Thompson leading away from Jeffrey Bose Vinucci he's still in third from

00:11:22hits the third place starting position but up to fourth it's Julio Garcia from the middle of the second

00:11:27row so he's now made up one position into fourth and just behind them it looks like it is Fernandez or

00:11:33Razuno it could be so Benja Fernandez from the middle of the fourth row he's now up to simp and

00:11:39it is Cazaniga and Milja so great spot there Steve they've gone down at the start line and we've now got

00:11:43a red flag so hopefully the two riders that did go down at the start are okay and it's just a

00:11:50precautionary trick well i mean we've had we'll have a shortened race as well when we do get back

00:11:55underway but obviously after a start line crash you want to just make sure that both riders are okay after

00:12:00that one yeah you do indeed so it's a good spot from the from the organizers here to get the race

00:12:07stopped and we will get make sure that everybody is okay involved in the accident and we will go

00:12:13racing once everything is clear everybody is checked from the start of the race it was a great launch

00:12:18off the line from Carter Thompson and Jeffrey Bose from the head of the front row of the grid those two

00:12:24were often running in the early stages of the race Vinucci was a little bit sluggish off the line

00:12:28but managed to gather it all back up into third uh just before the red flags then come out as we went

00:12:33down the back straight after turn number six so we're just getting confirmation of the incident

00:12:39which red flag due to the incident between obviously Cazaniga and Milja obviously everyone comes back into

00:12:43the pits now and uh they'll just have to wait down in pit lane to be able to do that to get back underway

00:12:50it'll be the quick restart procedure and should be as i said a shortened race as well just from the 12 lap

00:12:55duration but uh for the likes of Carter Thompson Jeffrey Bose was a really good start from

00:13:00Jeffrey that's going to give him a bit of confidence going into the race yeah it will be indeed Jeffrey

00:13:04Bose never seems to start anywhere near where he should start in either of the races he just starts

00:13:09near the front after the super pole or starts the middle of the pack after the first race but this time

00:13:14it's been switched around so Jeffrey Bose uh where he wants to be for this one just for that as well

00:13:18Cazaniga would have started on the sixth row the great a couple of rows in front of Felix Muglia so uh you'd imagine that

00:13:23Cazaniga had some sort of an issue there and uh Muglia ended up with no place to go

00:13:29so we will have the pit lane restart announced hopefully shortly there will be eight laps we

00:13:35will get underway for world super sport 300s it will be a quick start procedure as

00:13:40Steve said which means the riders will go out do a sighting lap stop on the grid they will be standing

00:13:45where or they will stop where our team representative will be standing then once everybody's lined up we

00:13:50will be off for a warm-up lab and then eight laps ahead of us this is where some teams have a bit of

00:13:54an advantage of being able to use different teams garages and you can see there for the

00:13:57progdina kawasaki team that uh julio garcia able to go into valentine to be super sport garage in the

00:14:04super sport team renzi course is just finding a a chair for him he's got a fan so he's able to to

00:14:09keep himself cool and it's all those things that make a big difference out there in this fast because

00:14:14otherwise you can see some teams just having to weigh it out there on umbrella over the rider it's still

00:14:19really hot you've seen what it's like over the course of this weekend liam running up and down

00:14:23pit lane nothing easy out there for these teams and riders whenever the conditions are like this

00:14:28yeah we're definitely chasing the shadows out there and there wasn't many of them thankful i've seen

00:14:31one of the riders walking away that's uh felix mulia walking away yeah that's good to see that felix

00:14:36mulia is walking away um stalling up to get an update on kazaniga fingers crossed for kazaniga that

00:14:43everything is okay on his side of the things but uh mulia um it looks like he may be trying to get

00:14:49back to see if he can restart this race felix would be saying to the team if they can get that uh

00:14:53bike back they can still get it fixed and get himself back into the race and he'd start from his

00:14:58original starting position absolutely mirko jenai on screen now wearing peroxa blonde hair underneath

00:15:04that helmet we may get a glimpse of it once he takes the helmet off look at that stunning form of

00:15:08here for mirko jenai not the start of the season that he wanted i remember he said to start that to

00:15:13me at the start of the year he needs to find consistency however mirko jenai has been nothing

00:15:18but inconsistent so far this year sometimes through no fault of his only has been caught up in some

00:15:23incidents but if a rider that wants to be part of the championship battle and the class's final year

00:15:29it really is something that um hasn't gone the way of the italian rider yeah i think there was obviously

00:15:35a lot of expectation on mirko as well that we were going to see that he was going to be able to

00:15:40challenge at the front and just hasn't quite worked out that way for him unfortunately this season and

00:15:45i think that for the mtm kawasaki team obviously they would have expected a little bit more as well

00:15:50but they've got carter thompson winning yesterday's race and up there fifth in the world championship

00:15:55yeah and the thing is for mirko jenai is the second most winningest rider in the class after jeffrey

00:16:00bose jeffrey bose on 17 wins and mirko jenai on seven but the mtm kawasaki we do know they do have

00:16:08such a pedigree within this championship obviously that jeffrey bose in the squad a couple of years ago

00:16:12and a carter thompson now the number one rider seems to be the australian rider now up to fifth

00:16:18in the championship 34 points off the championship lead coming into this race after yesterday's victory

00:16:24and of course carter thompson great start from the the front row from the pole position so he'll be hoping

00:16:29to do the same again when we do get this race up and running whenever that does happen we still do

00:16:35not have the announcement of when this race will get underway once again but once it does get underway

00:16:40we will have eight laps yeah we just have to wait until the incident is cleared down on the start line

00:16:45and then we'll be able to see when the race will be restarted so all the teams and riders know you have

00:16:50to be patient at this time and just wait until we're able to see what the situation is jeffrey bose

00:16:55there we can see all of his experience this is when it comes to the fore yeah absolutely you see him

00:16:59just uh finding some shade from this scorching sunshine it's up to over 32 degrees air

00:17:05temperature now so everybody's just trying to find somewhere where they can cool off ahead of this

00:17:10uh restarted race the three prudina kawasaki riders they're all together they look like they might have

00:17:15made up after friday because they're all giving each other the daggers and arms were flailing and

00:17:19the t so super pole they're all getting each other's way and but it seems to be they've all made up so

00:17:24that's a that's good to see that team harmony is back on the agenda for the prudina kawasaki riders and

00:17:30we just saw that was a hulu garcia david salvador and antonio torres and for hulu garcia your new

00:17:38championship leader after yesterday four points ahead of benyat fernandez well benyat fernandez on the

00:17:44kovi machine the sole kovi rider out there in the number seven he's four points for the back just one

00:17:48point ahead of jeffrey bose so if you're just joining us we did have an incident at the start

00:17:56line and the red flags came out swiftly after that uh for kazaniga and mulia we did see mulia walking

00:18:03away however kazaniga has been attended to on the inside of the track and we've well he will be in the

00:18:09back of the ambulance now so it's good to see that he has been able to be moved and he's now off to the

00:18:14medical center yeah and uh he'll be taken back for a checkup just said uh for him the the

00:18:19clarification that that'll be the case obviously any instant in world sbk riders get taken to the

00:18:24medical center for that checkup hopefully everything's okay there for kazaniga and uh you can see

00:18:29already everyone just getting ready on the starting grid as well the numbers are out there to tell the

00:18:33riders where to stop at the end of the siding lap and we'll just wait for confirmation of when the pit

00:18:39lane will open and once it does it's open for one minute everyone has to make their way to the grid

00:18:43antonio torres on screen simple position on here on friday however yesterday didn't quite go to

00:18:48plan for antonio torres didn't quite take that first victory that he was so hoping for while his

00:18:54teammate julio garcia did go to the summit of the championship once again so antonio torres watch out

00:18:59for the number 47 on the predina kawasaki because he will come through here's umberto mayer it's been

00:19:05quite a difficult weekend for the brazilian the number 12 rider who's taken a a few podium positions so far

00:19:11this season and umberto mayer we did expect to see him more much more up the front he's had quite

00:19:16a difficult weekend he was down the pack in the tiso superpole before that lap the late flurry uh

00:19:21towards the end of the session however his lap time did get cancelled yeah two podiums in a poll so

00:19:25far this season and uh he lived the chance in three and a half minutes to get back underway as well

00:19:30we've just got confirmation of that from uh the fim as well so uh it will be underway pretty soon

00:19:36good to see that we will get underway as the riders keep cool as much as they possibly can and just

00:19:42talking about quite recently the riders finding umbridge and some of the team's garages uh there's

00:19:48a pr representative mark vds uh george just holding uh it looks like a cold bottle of water

00:19:53over the riders there so just cooling the riders down in the garage there i'd say that's a warming

00:19:57bottle of ice more than anything else but uh for the riders there they're just doing what they can

00:20:02to try and keep themselves cool in pit lane but from this point on once you're given the countdown

00:20:06you now have to get yourself ready to go racing and the good thing with the quick restart procedure is

00:20:10within the three minutes of hit lane open you're pretty much ready to go racing again and uh that's

00:20:15always the the key thing for these riders and uh you can see now for juan as well just getting

00:20:19himself ready down there and uh he's had a good weekend rosunio as well we saw him qualify well

00:20:24good fastest lap in yesterday's race to give him a decent good position as well yeah it was indeed

00:20:28and we did see him inside the top six in the initial start elia bartolini 23 and not quite

00:20:35the start of the season elia bartolini would have wanted however elia bartolini um has starting to

00:20:41show a little bit of form in the last couple races he managed to pick up uh top six and most in race

00:20:46number one so elia bartolini is starting to show the form that we did expect of him yeah and uh for

00:20:52bartolini there is that expectation of what he's going to be able to do but uh ultimately it was that top

00:20:57six finish in race one he's had a top 10 in portamao as well but uh i think everyone was

00:21:03expecting a little bit more from bartolini especially considering he's 14th in the championship but

00:21:08we're just coming up towards the halfway point of the supersport 300 campaign so still plenty of

00:21:12time to turn things around as indeed danny mcgada he's hoping to turn some things around he did start

00:21:16that yesterday with his uh first points of the season after his podium back at assen and april so

00:21:24good to see danny mcgada picking up some points it was his best result of the season in 13th so

00:21:28best result in mizano and 13th i should say so danny mcgada it doesn't have form around mizano however

00:21:34starting from the for the second row of the grad in fourth place he's got a good shot of some good

00:21:39points today he did have a crash last year from the leading positions whenever he was challenging for

00:21:44the race victory and ended up with i think was a leg fracture at the time and uh for mcgada obviously

00:21:50still on the kawasaki this year change of teams but uh up there in the second row of the grid

00:21:54courtesy of the fourth fastest lap in yesterday's race and he needs to be able to to go with those

00:22:00leaders and try and challenge again we know that he can win races in this class he did the double

00:22:04at assen last year he did indeed and he'll be hoping to get back to winning ways or at least podium ways

00:22:10as we have the time to pit lane open ticking down 45 seconds before we see these riders back out

00:22:15on track ken fontana was starting from the 40th place on the grid there's a couple of positions

00:22:21behind his fellow countryman humberto meyer so once we get back underway in 30 seconds time we will

00:22:29have the riders head out onto the track for the sighting lap they'll make the full complete circuit

00:22:34come around to the starting grid where they will meet one of their team representatives once everybody's

00:22:39lined up on the grid the team representatives will leave the pet or will leave this the grid and then we

00:22:44will get started for a warm-up lap we will have eight laps of action once the race gets underway

00:22:50after that warm-up lap so fingers crossed everybody can stay upright and won't have any issues at all

00:22:55yeah and everyone now just getting ready pit lane is now open and everyone has one minute to get

00:23:00themselves out onto the racetrack go to the grid they'll be met by one mechanic and then we'll be able

00:23:05to have our warm-up lap and go to the grid for an eight-lap race that'll mean lap five will be two-thirds

00:23:11race distance so it's a real dash for the cash 300. i'm glad you're back that's much better than

00:23:15me because i couldn't even figure that one out which does make a lot of sense considering lap four

00:23:19would be half race distance so the riders make their way out onto the track now with carder thompson

00:23:24in the middle of your shot on the number 50 the black helmet on the mtm kawasaki he's just a long

00:23:30send him back to my brother carder thompson your pole center for today's race two action the aussie

00:23:35taking his first victory here yesterday and would so love to make it a double here at misano and

00:23:40become well the master of misano in many ways in 2025. predina kawasaki's there we go there's david

00:23:46salvador going through your shot that's antonio torres who did take pole position on fred here with

00:23:51the tiso super pole started from pole yesterday but wasn't able to convert it and we're just getting

00:23:56an update from kazaniga taken to the medical center for check-up so fingers crossed for kazaniga and we'll get

00:24:01see him back in action in donington we saw felix mulia running into pit lane to try and get himself

00:24:06back into the race he's still in pit lanes the team haven't been able to get that bike repaired

00:24:10felix mulia won't start from the eighth row of the grid and obviously kazaniga from the sixth row of

00:24:14the grid that'll be an empty slash yeah such a shame for for them and mulia was trying to get the team to

00:24:19get that bike back to the garage as quickly as possible but it was to no avail so pit lane has closed

00:24:25which means all the riders are now out on the track as we're now looking at your championship leader julio

00:24:31garcia on the number 48 prudina kawasaki the yellow bike at the front of your shot he would so love

00:24:36to leave mizano before the summer break continuing to lead the championship the last time he led the

00:24:42championship was after most race number one but lost it once again in race two when jeffrey bose took

00:24:47victory there and julio garcia could only manage a top five french he wasn't even on the podium for that

00:24:53one so julio garcia got a lot got a lot of work to do today to try and wrestle or keep jeffrey bose wrestling

00:24:59that championship lead so as the riders make their way through turn 14 at the end of the lap

00:25:04in sector number four we will be coming back onto the grid for the start of our warm-up lap and then

00:25:10once that gets started we will make a way around the grid once more and then we will get racing underway

00:25:16for eight laps here at mizano world circuit marco simoncelli on what is quite a glorious sunny day

00:25:23here at the adriatic coast yeah a couple of riders worth keeping an eye on for during this race obviously

00:25:27marco gadgi had a podium yesterday he's on the third row of the grid but alongside him the number 12 of

00:25:32umberto meyer meyer was at the back of the field yesterday came through to score a point he's going

00:25:37to start from the third row of the grid courtesy of that ninth fastest lap of the race so keep an eye

00:25:41out for the number 12 yamaha keep an eye out on that fourth row of the grid for antonio torres on the

00:25:46number 47 the pro dina kawasaki benyat fernandez on the cove and also david salvador salvador will

00:25:53have long that penalty in this race because of irresponsible riding but uh salvador he's been

00:25:58fast and obviously fourth in the world championship as well yeah he does need to serve that and serve

00:26:02it well but unlike jeffrey bose yesterday couldn't quite recover from his double long lap penalties

00:26:07he only managed to he did come out in 60th but only managed to recover tonight as he sets their

00:26:12cool cabin collected as we're now about to get underway for the warm-up lap here at mizano

00:26:19eight laps ahead of us and the world super sport 300 world championship race number two just for

00:26:24that long lap penalty as well for salvador he'll have to take that in the in the first three laps

00:26:28of the race and then for sorry the first five laps of the race and then uh he'll try and take that

00:26:33as early as possible to be able to give himself the chance to be able to still recover from us and

00:26:39uh see the riders all making their way off there they said that there was already two riders that

00:26:43weren't going to be taking part caseniga and mulia it also looks like kian coom isn't there as uh he's

00:26:49down in pit lane as well so uh maybe an issue for him yes technical problem popped up on our timing

00:26:54screen so shame there for the wild card rider who has started um some yamaha blue crew events and has

00:27:01some has had some podiums but also is competing in the world super sport class last year racing over in

00:27:06the asia road racing championship on the super sport 300 bikes where he has a race winner so

00:27:11great to see the it's great to see him over here the tie rider competing in mizano hopefully he can get

00:27:17back out on track but it looks like a few big curtains for the number 32. right so we're about to get racing

00:27:24underway the riders make their way around mizano the warm-up lap and track temperature is skyrocketing to

00:27:30almost 33 degrees air temperature just keeps getting hotter and hotter and track temperature

00:27:3647 degrees celsius humidity 49 so it's quite a warm day there thankfully for the riders the humidity

00:27:43isn't as high as it could be which would be even worse just got notification there as well that the

00:27:47number 27 of felix mulia they've managed to get that bike repaired he'll start the race from pit lane as

00:27:52well and uh that's a good opportunity for mulia fantastic stuff from uh the mechanics over the pro gp

00:28:00squad the yamaha will be back out on track so fantastic work there i've seen quite a few yamaha

00:28:05mechanics do some rapid work throughout the weekend and hit lane and it seems like there's even more of

00:28:11them though i've done even more rapid progress to get a bike out there on to the track into the end of the

00:28:18lap here these the fast right handers at the end of the lap this is where the race is going to be won

00:28:22and lost and uh down in towards turn 14 you need to be able to hold that inside line to be able to

00:28:28defend as much as anything else from the riders around you mizano really does set up for 300 racing

00:28:34the turn 10 tramonto is all about being able to use the slipstream down into carbone and then the

00:28:39ever decreasing radius right handers into turn 14 it always sets up for an exciting end to the race

00:28:46yeah unfortunately we didn't quite get that exciting into the race yesterday down towards turn 14 with

00:28:50carter thompson already using the the slipstream to great effect and managed to just hold on to it

00:28:55and towards turn 14 and then the final two left handers as we see once again the championship

00:28:59standings garcia leaning away from fernandez and bose with david salvador who does have to serve

00:29:03that long lap penalty 25 points further back and in fifth we have your race one winner from yesterday

00:29:09carter thompson 34 points further back as the riders now prepare for their second start here at

00:29:15nazano world circuit marco simoncelli for world supersport 300 race number two expect to get

00:29:22underway once the flags come off the grid we will have the lights come on the revs will start rising

00:29:27and we will get underway so the front row of the grid carter thompson on your right and the middle

00:29:31is jeffrey bose and on the outside 91 matteo vannicci the revs are now rising the red lights are on

00:29:36once they go out we will be underway and will be another good start from the middle of the front row yes

00:29:40it will jeffrey bose from second gets along and say carter thompson your pole setter but the

00:29:45kawasaki just has the legs a little bit latest of the late breakers carter thompson swoops around

00:29:49the outside of jeffrey bose and towards turn one turns through the goal matteo vannicci has had a good

00:29:54start from third modega as well we've got a couple of riders down in the back there they've had it coming

00:29:58together that uh looks like it could be thomas alonzo down there yeah i think you're right there steve so yeah

00:30:04a few riders down for the back oh what contact there i think that was uh garcia and uh rizuno

00:30:10coming together there in my pack so unfortunately for the mtm kawasaki getting sat up there shuffled

00:30:15down the order but thankfully for the right people down in the back they seem to be okay however powering

00:30:19down towards turn number seven like turn number eight lequercher it's carter thompson leading away

00:30:23from matteo vannicci who swoops into second jeffrey bose he's been shuffled back to third yeah and

00:30:29for jeffrey obviously vannicci we saw yesterday able to run at the front of the field looked

00:30:34really strong how to track limits penalty the shortened race that's going to play into vannicci's

00:30:38hand but nice to be able to see that we've got three different manufacturers up there in the top

00:30:42three positions here on that one yeah and the cove machine of uh fernandez benyad fernandez he's a

00:30:48shuffle but i did see him up in sixth spot one point he's now being shuffled back down tonight so we

00:30:51hope to see the cove up there to make it four manufacturers yeah it's still very very much where

00:30:55he needs to be in this early stage of the race you just don't want to lose touch with the group

00:30:59yeah you don't indeed so we go through the triple left hand oh jeffrey bose how did he saved that

00:31:05that was gone for an absolute week that front end and you saw the tire smoke as well what riding

00:31:10what skill from jeffrey bose to stay on that that's what happens to those those triple right handers

00:31:16they can be contacted there was there yeah it looked like he made contact there with rizuno

00:31:20and uh just able to somehow keep it upright it looked like in the background uno and calito he

00:31:25crashed at turn 14 as well we saw someone in the gravel trap down there yeah unfortunately for

00:31:29calito youth there that started 20 the yellow flags out at turn 14 it could have been a big

00:31:34whopper of a crash there for jeffrey bose but my goodness me i cannot believe he managed to save

00:31:39that one that was some effort there from jeffrey bose as julio garcia his championship nemesis

00:31:43swoops on into second on the number 48 he came through from the second row of the grid so julio garcia

00:31:49looking for another podium he's looking to make it six from eight races here but vannucci has other ideas

00:31:54he has a look up the inside but can't quite make it stick just getting a confirmation of a technical

00:31:59problem there for ossetti and uh such a shame there but rizuno i just want to point out on

00:32:04the pink wheeled yamaha great start from rizuno he's now up into fourth spot okay he's done a really

00:32:08good job on that uh yamaha as well the number 39 machine nice and easy to spot him as well and

00:32:13he's trying to make his way down the inside into turn eight not quite able to make that move but

00:32:18benyat fernandez making progress there on the number seven machine yes indeed the kovi bike coming

00:32:23from around you i said as we've seen so many times from benyat fernandez the spanish rookie

00:32:2817 years old and he now takes the outside line for the inside lane as david salvador takes his

00:32:33long lap penalty where will he come out he's dropped right down the order he's behind the

00:32:38ktm of rosenthalers who's going to be in 13th position 12th position just from pebi osuna but

00:32:43there's a big gap between him and the group in front of him that could be very costly for salvador

00:32:47in terms of his championship points yeah and he was also on the edge of maybe touching the green on

00:32:50exit if he did touch that means that would be null and void he would have to take the long lap penalty

00:32:54again thankfully on this lap there's no contact between any of the riders jeffrey boz will be

00:32:58breathing a big sigh of relief after what happened last lap vanicci almost tagging the back of garcia

00:33:04and that's just an allowed benyat fernandez on the number seven kobe machine just have a little look

00:33:08up the inside but couldn't quite make it stick but quite brilliantly at the front it's going to be two

00:33:12laps in a row the car to thompson has led this race with nobody showing a wheel up the inside of the race

00:33:18one winner from yesterday as we take off another lap three laps completed here at lizano it's carter

00:33:24thompson leading the way from julio garcia benya fernandez but mateo vernucci just left off the brakes

00:33:29i've cut right out the background there putting up his hand with a technical problem it looks like

00:33:32not quite sure but that may have been maybe sanchez for the back zanini it looked like was down in the

00:33:37gravel there was a kawasaki rider back there and it is zanini but uh yeah for all the riders you're seeing in

00:33:43the shortened race you do just end up where there's no chance of being able to to really

00:33:48seed any positions you can see for carter thompson there big moment for him on the run into turn four

00:33:52able to correct it drops down into probably about fifth position there maybe sixth position just

00:33:57behind jeffrey bows but for carter thompson on the number 50 machine lives to fight another day a little

00:34:02bit like jeffrey bows on that opening lap as well you've had your big warning but he's answering straight

00:34:06back down the inside of bulls oh benya fernandez had a big slide at the front end going into la

00:34:11quercia there so everyone's having some problems out there we've had some people lose the rear

00:34:15some lose the front but thankfully everybody's staying up in this front group but that was a big

00:34:19moment there from benyad fernandez and he sets up funnucci with a late move there it looks like an

00:34:25aggressive move there from fernandez but he's put his bike on the inside to make that move

00:34:29funnucci's pulling in on the inside of it but uh basically not really anywhere where fernandez can go when

00:34:34you decide to hold that tight line and come on let's keep it nice and clean through carvoni this

00:34:39time right nobody's hell would help or no there's no able to help with that this time there's no

00:34:43brake lever to brake lever but um petal meyer out of nowhere around the outside jeffrey bows he's

00:34:48almost coming into contact with benyad fernandez he's now shuffled back maybe a little more there's

00:34:52contact there between fernandez i think that's garcia yeah so uh rubbing is racing as they see and

00:34:57there's a lot of it here this is what happens though in 300s whenever you end up with the shortened race it

00:35:02basically becomes absolutely helter-skelter all the way around the race and for all these riders

00:35:07they're putting themselves in a position where they don't want to lose spots because they know that the

00:35:12lap times of only eight laps for this race means we're already at halfway race distance basically

00:35:17yeah we are indeed as carter thompson after that big moment into turn four a lap ago he's put that to

00:35:23bed because he's back into the lead of the race so good stuff there from carter thompson seems happy

00:35:27enough to lead this race from the front he's just ahead of vanucci who's had some issues there

00:35:33with benyad fernandez who now comes up the inside of meyer salvador is the big winner in all this he

00:35:36took his long lap penalty and it's a no impact whatsoever he's the second of the yellow bikes

00:35:41in this group and he's already right up there behind jeffrey bowe's seventh position so uh he's been

00:35:46able to take advantage of all the chaos yeah absolutely spot there steve uh david salvador and seventh as we

00:35:51have benichi and carter thompson side by side down the back straight into la quercia we go the number

00:35:5691 latest of the late breakers the italian now takes the lead of the race for the first time unless

00:36:01we get a big benyat fernandez move coming up and towards turn 10 again which i doubt we will have

00:36:06but carter thompson now trying to retaliate up the inside fernandez he now puts his bike up there but

00:36:11cuts across the front of benyat fernandez as carter thompson so carter thompson there just lets off

00:36:18the brakes this is what we saw brilliantly yesterday from the aussie yeah and uh comes from doing

00:36:21exactly what you have to do he's trying to just make sure he stays in those leading positions and

00:36:26defends against benyat fernandez those two riders both of them red bull rookies cup riders both of

00:36:30them race winners in the red bull rookies cup trying to fight it out of the frontier in the 300 world

00:36:35championship yeah they know each other very well mateo fernucci is trying to get very much acquainted to

00:36:39that green kawasaki as he just flows up the inside and now carter thompson just been shuffled back a little

00:36:44bit with his friends by garcia and salvador coming through the start of the yellow bikes antonio

00:36:49torres he's all the way down at 12 he's a little bit lower than i expected him to be jeffrey keeps

00:36:53getting himself boxed out as well and uh we obviously saw that contact on lap one for bows

00:36:57maybe he ended up where there's a little bit of damage there he's lost that bit of confidence as a

00:37:02result but he keeps seeming to lose those positions in the end of the lap and the other riders are trying to

00:37:08bully him as well bullied the way of david salvador is coming on carter thompson and he makes the move

00:37:14stick and towards turn number two so carter thompson briefly got back ahead but david salvador was

00:37:18having none of it and immediately retaliated and towards turn two umberto meyer on the number 12

00:37:24machine he's got himself up into p2 he's never won a race in the supersport 300 world championship

00:37:28this could well be the opportunity for him yesterday he came through from the 11th row of the grid to

00:37:33score point in 15. set a really fast that time in the race the ninth fastest lap that put him on the

00:37:38third row of the grid that's why he's up there challenging now and here we go he's going for

00:37:41the lead now so i've already swiped past benja fernandez for the lead but vinnucci we saw in a

00:37:45lap ago doing the same thing just latest of the late breakers runs a little deep humberto meyer

00:37:50i thought it might be contact there for a second but the switchback is coming to great effect there

00:37:54luquercha yeah you can see here as well that the aero does make a big difference out there for these bikes as

00:37:59well and uh so they all get to the same top speed but uh it seems that some of them like the fernandez

00:38:05bike just has a maybe a little bit more drag and just struggling a little bit on the exit of some

00:38:09of the corners and that's going to leave him maybe a little bit vulnerable down into turn 11 each lap

00:38:13if he's out there leaning interesting stuff from humberto meyer doesn't want to leave going on to

00:38:17the back straight does number 12 as he swips around the outside of not one but two riders does the

00:38:22number 12 on the yamaha let's have a little look at jeffrey boson number six machine as well you can see

00:38:26he's still there in sixth spot but uh lots of riders getting themselves nice and close to jeffrey

00:38:31yeah he does seem to just take that precaution line as brenda fernandez swips around uh

00:38:36swips around jeffrey goes and hulu got here and trying to make a move of car to thompson

00:38:39and there's contact there between salvador and vannucci that could have been ended in curtains for

00:38:44both of them but thankfully both are still on the tarmac but uh not meyer it is at the front

00:38:50vannucci that's still leading or is i'm better mad that's leading the way so that was jeffrey

00:38:53bows running out over the curbs there turn 16 as well and uh for umberto meyer he's got a half

00:38:58a second in hand on everyone but obviously the slipstream down in towards turn one gonna bring

00:39:02him back towards everyone yeah i will indeed as benia fernandez goes for his traditional

00:39:06rendi i said look that gives him a switch back up the inside and towards turn three and he moves

00:39:10the interesting thing with that is it doesn't cost him any momentum doesn't cost him any time and

00:39:14he's just able to run that high corner speed and still bring himself closer and closer to the race

00:39:19leaders we've got a leading group stretches all the way back down towards elio bartini and 18.

00:39:25i do like what we've seen all the way through the season with the race crap from fernandez he does

00:39:30look like he's able to always keep himself in those right places trying different things lap after lap

00:39:35and puts himself into as you can see here down into la cuerta some unusual positions on the track

00:39:40just to try and find that little bit of clear air or where he wants to be to carry the momentum he's

00:39:45playing with destiny the amount of times he rides around the outside if somebody just loses the

00:39:49front and washes out it will take down fernandez but he just has such bravery and such a commitment

00:39:54to his other riders that he can do those lengths let's see what happens now whenever he's in third

00:39:58last time around he was in the lead of this pack dropped down to fifth or sixth into turn 11.

00:40:03let's see from the third position what he's able to do it looks like he might have got that slipstream

00:40:06and up the inside of carter thompson that carter thompson mtm kawasaki does seem to be very good

00:40:12in a straight line as meyer once again up the inside of thompson benya fernandez in that number

00:40:16seven doesn't have that same level of top speed or the the quick blast out of turn 10 as some of the

00:40:22other riders have so he's having to do his work on the outside on the brakes and trying to put his

00:40:27bike into different places going to be tough for benyad on that number seven bike yeah benyad

00:40:32really well acquainted at turn 14 once again obviously enough we're now well past that two

00:40:36thirds race distance so if there's any incident and a red flag full points awarded so that's why all of

00:40:41these riders now need to make sure that they're always at the front two laps to go for world

00:40:46super sport 300 race two is carter thompson your race one winner yesterday leading the way from

00:40:50humberto meyer looking for his maiden victory in the class and david salvador looking for his first

00:40:55victory of the season the purple helmet of the number 48 julio garcia that's our championship leader

00:41:00jeffrey bose on the number six the orange ktm he's second in the world championship and uh they're

00:41:05down there in uh sixth and seventh position right now so need a little bit of recovery benyad fernandez

00:41:10came into this one third in the world championship he's just in front of them as well and uh for all

00:41:15these riders they know that this is a chance to make up big points on their rivals yeah benyad fernandez

00:41:19he's getting his head well truly tucked underneath that bubble as it comes towards to la quersia turn

00:41:24number eight for the penultimate time latest of the late breakers here comes fernandez he takes

00:41:29humberto meyer and mateo venici a two for one deal for fernandez and he goes from fifth to third on the

00:41:35number seven kovi machine great move there from fernandez but still carter thompson leading the

00:41:39way we will see if there's any gamesmanship on the final lap as we come into here the turn 10 before

00:41:45we blast down the back straight and again we need to see where riders are as they exit this corner and

00:41:49uh salvador second fernandez in third and then benucci and ford meyer and fifth let's see where they are

00:41:54when they come down in towards the entry for turn 13 and turn 14. interestingly though it's at the end of the

00:42:00the street when they can catch carter thompson so he must get off turn 10 really well does the mtm

00:42:04kawasaki's once again humberto meyer using the right around the outside line to great effect and he takes

00:42:09one but two positions as fernandez looks up the inside of salvador but salvador cuts off the front

00:42:14so fifth to third third to second second to the race league there for salvador you use that penultimate

00:42:20lap you use the third last lap to try and figure out your strategy into the last lap and uh we'll wait and see

00:42:26what everyone does the entry to turn 10 is going to be the key do you leave the door open so that

00:42:30you don't lead the race one more lap to go here at the zada world circuit marco samoncelli for a

00:42:36super sport 300 race number eight of the season and salvador swoops across the front fernandez trying

00:42:41to dive in meyer there here comes thompson for third but fernandez once again back into the lead

00:42:45fernandez was well over the curb on the entry in towards term one there as well so that'll be something

00:42:50that'll be kept an eye on yeah it will be indeed just remember if you see track glimpse in the final

00:42:54lap you will be docked three second penalty which will go against your race time which you will not

00:42:58want as these riders are coming through turn five foot left and to turn six down the second back or

00:43:04the first of the back straight and look at the way the kobe machine just gets off turn number six

00:43:08that's a rider down in the background they're not quite sure who that was jeffrey bose we didn't

00:43:12expect big things from bose but he's down eighth at the moment it was mercury tonight that's gone down

00:43:16there but look the five abreast on the running into turn eight here comes vannucci vannucci has been sort of

00:43:21boxed down ever so slightly there meyer he goes around the outside once again there's confirmation

00:43:25of jenna such a shame for the italian rider but here comes turn 10 will anyone set up and let

00:43:30everyone through it looks like it's happening and fernandez has been shuffled out vannucci as well

00:43:35as carter thompson that was sat up with pedina kawasaki's on the inside down the back straight we

00:43:40go for the final time it's a freight train down the back straight it's a 20 wheeler potentially more

00:43:46down the back straight oh that's my on the grass for nitty's touch today i think that was rosenthaler

00:43:50it was indeed that was contact but thankfully everyone is still upright and it's fernandez

00:43:55that leads away here comes salvador and here comes gaurcia almost contact there with fernandez

00:44:00and towards the third to final corner we go turn 14. garcia has timed this so well carter thompson

00:44:06there he's in front fire trying to go right there is edip carter thompson but it's julio garcia the

00:44:11championship leader can he hold on or will he get dive-bombed by fernandez fernandez is going for

00:44:16it but he can't do it almost cuts off torres in towards the final corner but it's going to be

00:44:20julio garcia his second victory of the season or is it could it be fernandez photo finish and it's

00:44:26fernandez it takes it on the line the kovi machine by nine thousandths of a second it looked like garcia

00:44:33had it sorted but somehow being that fernandez got the run off the final corner used the slipstream

00:44:39pulled alongside and took victory brilliantly for the second time in 2025 and he's now the

00:44:45championship leader yeah and uh in that last lap jeffrey bose the big loser ended up down in p10 at

00:44:50the back of that group but so much action on the run down in towards turn 11 we saw that uh umberto

00:44:57meyer on the number 12 machine got ran off the racetrack where did meyer end up finishing all the way

00:45:01down the order outside of the points and the same for venucci sorry meyer managed to recover come away

00:45:06with the top six but venucci was the rider that dropped all the way down the order as well he was

00:45:09the other rider ran off the track and really tough down in towards that turn 11 complex but uh for

00:45:16benio fernandez we saw at the start of the lap him uh really trying to use every inch of the

00:45:21racetrack into turn one into turn 10 is where it all came down to and really everyone's trying to

00:45:27put themselves in a position to not lead onto the back straight it ended up then where everyone's tripping

00:45:32up over each other julio garcia did everything he could he led out of the last corner and he ends

00:45:37up getting beaten by nine thousandths of a second but as it stands right now there's only one point

00:45:42between fernandez and garcia going into the second half of the campaign you can see how close it is

00:45:47here fernandez does what you have to do you have to try and weave across and try and break the toe

00:45:53but uh ultimately that's the difference between uh winning and losing there and for david salvador comes in

00:45:59only less than four hundredths of a second down on the race win as well that's after the long that

00:46:03penalty really important points for him to pick up as well he's managed to close up on jeffrey bows

00:46:08it doesn't matter if you won by an inch or one by a mile winning is winning and benyan fernandez has

00:46:13just taken the one here in race number two at mizano ahead of garcia and salvador there just aren't

00:46:20enough fast and the furious quotes to be able to put into the race but uh it really was all action there at

00:46:25the end of the race and as we said earlier when you end up with the shortened race in 300 it condenses

00:46:30all the action and everyone has to do all their learning much quicker and we saw in the last couple

00:46:34of laps everyone's trying to understand where they need to be out there yeah it was very frantic action

00:46:37out there for the world super sport 300 and um it looks like david salvador might be a little bit

00:46:42upset with one of the other riders out there on track but uh thankfully for salvador he picked up a podium position

00:46:50however it is garcia that is mounting such a consistent challenge but not consistent enough

00:46:55because benya fernandez for the first time in 2025 leads the championship and he leads it well going in towards turn

00:47:03and towards round number five in september and we will start the second half of the 2025 campaign

00:47:09as number seven kovi right as he just rips up the pirelli mat as he comes down victory lane but that doesn't matter he will be forgiven about that but the kovi 109s

00:47:19but the kovi 109 squad they'll be overjoyed and i mean they'll be partying out in cattolica tonight

00:47:25won't the the irish contingent and the 109 squad and quite rightly deserved and i'm sure benyat fernandez's dad

00:47:32will have a big father's day present on his way as well julio garcia he rolls down the pit lane and towards

00:47:38victory lane and he'll be a little bit disappointed with that one he thought he might have just had it on

00:47:43the cards the race victory but when 40 was just slipstreamed to the line nine thousandths of a second

00:47:48it was between fernandez and julio garcia but a great effort for julio garcia on the number 48

00:47:56rodina kawasaki of course that is a sixth podium in eight races so he really is building up a consistent

00:48:04challenge his worst result so far has been an 11th and a fifth place as well so he hasn't been on

00:48:09off the podium apart from those as david salvador waves to the fans and um not sure what this celebration

00:48:16can be about but maybe he's got some friends or family in the grandstand podium finish and uh he's

00:48:22going to milk it all the way home and we'll see him come back in obviously his teammate julio garcia

00:48:27in second spot and his teammate right behind him in four so great day for the prodina boys yeah and it

00:48:32seems to be whenever that one of the prodina riders miss out on a podium it tends to be antonio torres

00:48:36you've got to feel for the 47 they just he's doing a lot but he's just missing out ever so slightly

00:48:42on that extra little bit to give him that podium while his teammates david salvador and especially

00:49:12way we like it it's going out with a bang so far and the way that it should be going out for a

00:49:17class that is just throughout and filled to the brim with action and excitement all the way throughout

00:49:24and that's the way that the class definitely should be going as it started the same way as david salvador

00:49:30now comes into park fermi took a little bit longer than his team may have hoped and the organizers may

00:49:35have hoped so we can get the podium proceedings underway but david salvador once more back

00:49:42on the podium and just still missing out on that first victory of the season it's his third podium

00:49:46of 2025 and just look how close it is under second covering the top covering the top 10 just outside

00:49:54of the top 10 is rosenthal he's the first rider there's one second or more further back so just

00:49:59behind his teammate jeffrey bowes who's still filling in for philip tonne that went to the camera

00:50:05and said whoa that was a sketchy race it was indeed but he timed it to perfection he knew when to

00:51:22dream and of course david salvador with another podium at the start of the season he's speaking to alvaro

00:51:33i don't know i i am unhappy today for sure i don't understand because yesterday i put me

00:51:42the low lap penalty and yeah and finally in the last lap or more or less in the model on the on the race

00:53:26the championship however it's as good as leading because he's only one point behind benyat fernandez who

00:53:32did take victory here today and he did seem to switch the results from yesterday yesterday it was julio

00:53:36garcia that pipped fernandez on the line for third and fourth today it was fernandez that pipped

00:53:40julio garcia on the line for first and second so i'm sure that benyat fernandez will take that one

00:53:45over a fourth place anyway yeah and obviously for both those riders now just a single point between

00:53:51them and uh that really does set up nicely going into the rest of the season that once we get back

00:53:55underway in september yeah very juicy stuff in world supersport 300 as we're about to hear from your brand

00:54:01new championship leader race victory here today is his fourth podium of the season

00:54:06as benyat fernandez who goes into the second half of the season as your championship leader

00:54:12benyat amazing win to finish the weekend here in misano and you are the new championship leader how do

00:54:17you feel well i feel good obviously because i'm the leader only by one point we can't we can't be so

00:54:26comfortable so yeah i just think race by race i don't think even of the championship so this is

00:54:34how i can do my best performance and well work every every every day and just try to be on the top

00:54:42positions and on the last lap i managed and finally i i could overtake julio on the on the straight and

00:54:50yeah i'm very happy because also the the team work very hard and also with this heat the clutch and

00:54:58all the bike wasn't feeling very very good but just keep pushing keep pushing keep working and yeah

00:55:07finally i got the win so i'm very happy congratulations thank you there was a lot to

00:55:12unpack from that one it seemed like he was having a few issues out there but it managed to come through

00:55:16it all and take a victory here at misano and of course quite more importantly taking the championship

00:55:22lead to boot yeah and for benyat he does tend to keep a pretty cool head out there and his experience

00:55:29this year really is growing obviously here in the 300 world championship he has the chance to win a

00:55:33world championship he's also doing well in the red bull rookies cup up there in top five in the standings

00:55:38anytime a rider is able to do that in rookies you know that they're a special talent but also what we've

00:55:42seen from him this year in the 300 classes for the first half of the season always finishing inside

00:55:47the top five positions but always trying to figure out where he needs to be on the track and uh what

00:55:52he can do to give himself the best chance on those last laps sometimes you win them sometimes you don't

00:55:56he's able to pick up the win today yeah he did indeed and it's a very impressive race winning his

00:56:00race craft is up there with some of the best as well and of course that means he also gets to take the

00:56:05pirelli best lap award that's his third of the season for setting the fastest lap of the race

00:56:09garcia salvador on two apiece and carder thompson picking up his one yesterday so great stuff from

00:56:15benyat fernandez and it's all celebrations all around for him and the kovi team 109 squad down

00:56:22there and then you can imagine they'll be partying long into the night here at katolica under the

00:56:27musano sun of the sweltering day and david salvador he makes his way to the podium trying to cool off a

00:56:34little bit is david salvador not happy with any of the antics of his fellow riders after his penalty from

00:56:39yesterday julio garcia a little bit more happy even though he'll be a little bit disappointed to

00:56:43miss it from the victory and dropped into second in the championship however numero uno it is benyat

00:56:49fernandez who took to expect that takes victory here today and of course goes to the summit of the

00:56:55world supersport 300 world championship and we're now getting the podium ceremony underway with the

00:57:03trophies being handed out and it will be david salvador that picks up his third podium of the

00:57:08season and third spot you can just muster a wry smile can david salvador and a thumbs up as well

00:57:14and that just sniff of the roses to be so maybe i'll cheer him up a little bit

00:57:17i didn't see that much of a smile there from david and uh obviously enough for him 16 points he's

00:57:22annoyed about his penalty from yesterday and uh certainly for him it's uh one of those situations

00:57:27where you wait and see whether or not the the tide goes out with someone else in the same way later

00:57:31on in the season but for salvador you can see the the frustration there on the podium you can indeed

00:57:37but there's no frustration from benyat fernandez who takes his second victory of the season his fourth

00:57:42podium and total and of course that will be going to the top of the mantelpiece and before we get the

00:57:50podium ceremony on the way on the way there with the national anthem we will have the team

00:57:53representative yeah and for uh benyat obviously you can see there the the joy for him out there

00:57:57and uh joined up on the podium there by mark as well as mechanic and uh for benyat it's one of those

00:58:04situations where he knows coming into the second half of the year he'll feel that there is that chance

00:58:08to win the world championship and the team and kobe will certainly think that as well yeah they will

00:58:12indeed so it's a great example of rookie sensation stuff for benyat fernandez as he takes the victory
