00:003rd, 4th and 5th in the standings starting 7th, 8th and 11th off the line here and we have got a
00:06real fighting prospect not only for the victory between top rack Razgatlioglu and Niccolò Bulliga
00:11who've been the top two in every session this weekend so far but also a real scrap with a big
00:17group of riders who will all fancy their chances of completing the podium behind the big two here.
00:30The annual visit to Mizano, the best attended weekend of the season and a home round for Ducati,
00:36just 140 kilometres from their Bologna factory. The men in red have more wins here than any
00:41manufacturer at any other circuit, a record 37 of the 67 races staged here to date, 8 wins in 5 visits
00:48since the release of the V4R. Last season though it was top rack Razgatlioglu who plundered all three
00:53victories, his first hat-trick with BMW that installed him as championship leader, a position he never
00:59surrendered. Niccolò Bulliga, second to top rack in all three races last year, has been an equal to
01:04his rival this season so far, the top two in the standings and in each of the last six races. Bulliga
01:10with the upper hand on our last visit to Italy six weeks ago, Razgatlioglu the faster in Most. Which way
01:15will the pendulum swing this time on this seesaw title fight? Alec Travey and Steve English for race
01:21one of the 2025 Emilia-Romagna round. Bulliga with the pace advantage at three of the five rounds so far,
01:28brings with him a 31 point lead, it really is essential for top rack to keep chipping away. Yeah it's
01:33tightrope time for top rack because he really has the speed but Bulliga has a little bit more.
01:39Interestingly just hearing from the grid, top racks out there with the softer front tire, Bulliga with the
01:43harder front tire. So at the front of the field, Bulliga and Sam Lowe's from the front row of the grid, both out
01:47there with that harder front tire. It should give them a bit more stability but I know yesterday a lot of
01:52riders were saying that they really were struggling with it and that they were going to take this off
01:56front and hope for the best. Obviously we've had a lot more information and data since then but it'll be
02:01interesting to see how it plays out. Yeah there were a few riders commenting that they tried that
02:05harder front tire yesterday and didn't like it on Friday in practice but it is a new start now with race
02:13one and the first point scoring opportunity coming up. Yeah Sam Lowe's on the number 14
02:17Mark VDS bike obviously didn't get to do any running yesterday to do a long run but
02:22interestingly he's opted for the same as what Bulliga's gone with. Well we'll wait to see which
02:27proves to be the right decision. It's all about stability on the front end but also high track
02:33temperatures here in Nazan. It's one of the key aspects of this weekend compared to the five rounds
02:37we've seen this season so far. But through these fast right-handers at the end of the lap if you
02:41don't have that confidence in the front you lose so much speed lose so much time through there
02:46and that's where the softer front can help you especially in those early stages. Reminder of the
02:51championship standings coming into the sixth round of this 2025 campaign. Niccolo Bulliga on 252 points
02:57leads the way by 31 over top rack Razgatlioglu. Danilo Petrucci five points ahead of Alvaro Bautista in the
03:04battle for third and Andrea Locatelli now 20 points back from Petrucci after two bad rounds
03:10in a row. Sam Lowe's making ever-increasing progress was never out of the top six at the
03:15last round in Most and he sits sixth overall well clear of Xavi Vieque and the rest of the chasing
03:20pack from seventh place down. But it's all about your big two Bulliga versus Razgatlioglu. That's
03:26been the story of the entire weekend so far and indeed of this season with 31 points separating
03:31them coming into the first race of the weekend here in Mezzano.
03:37It's race one of the 2025 Pirelli Emilia Romagna round and it's underway with a good start from
03:44Alex Lowe's from the middle of the second row of the grid. Bassani's made a good jump as well. Niccolo
03:49Bulliga has made one place already. He's going to come under attack from Andrea Locatelli going through
03:54turn two but he holds fire in third place. So it's Razgatlioglu who leads. It's Bassani in second.
03:59Bulliga making a place already up to third. Alvaro Bautista trying to force his way through
04:04as they come in towards turn four on the opening lap and Bulliga managing to make up one place
04:10already. Locatelli behind him. Then it's Gardner and Alex Lowe's despite making a decent jump
04:15there had nowhere really to carry it. Going in the opposite direction Sam Lowe's dropped down
04:20from third to seventh. Yeah and you can see at the front of the field obviously enough for
04:24and slow top back. Razgatlioglu on the opening lap is off the circuit altogether here in Mazzano
04:28and Niccolo Bulliga makes his way through straightforward fashion up into second place
04:33instant further back involving Dominic Eger to by the looks of things on lap number one
04:38but up at the front is Axel Bassani who now leads on the Bermota at his and their home round
04:44here at the Emilia Romagna round. Niccolo Bulliga threw into Corvone. So many times last season
04:50we saw the Ducatis able to make their move through there and Bulliga has come from fourth
04:54to first on lap number one. A disastrous start for Toprak Razgatlioglu. Toprak came through
04:59into turn 12 but looked like on Locatelli as well. That's a brave place to make the move.
05:02That's a move of just I can't afford to spend any time behind you. It was Safoglu at the back
05:07of the field as well with Domi Aguilar. Well they're still struggling to recover that bike
05:12by the looks of things. It's in the middle of the track at the moment so watch out if they
05:15can't get it cleared quickly. Toprak's got four corners to clear Bassani you'd imagine
05:18otherwise you'd give up a lot of ground to Bulliga at the middle of this lap. Great fighting going
05:24on right the way through the field as ever. Alvaro Bautista trying to get through on Yari Montella
05:29for ninth position but couldn't manage it. Montella managing to fight back going into turn one
05:33on at lap number two. So a look at the order now. It's Niccolo Bulliga who leads ahead of Axel Bassani
05:38in second. Razgatlioglu eight tenths now down on the race leader as Alex Lowe's comes through on
05:43Andrea Locatelli. That's for fourth position. Behind him it's Danilo Petrucci and then Sam Lowe's holding back
05:48the train of Gardner further down. Yellow flags are probably still out down in towards turn eight.
05:53That takes away an overtaking opportunity for Toprak. Yes and indeed for the riders in the group
05:58behind and you know they're making a pass there. Where's Bassani gone? And we can see on the screen
06:03there Axel Bassani coming to grief. So that is a real shame for him up in the podium positions.
06:08It will promote his teammate Alex Lowe's now into third place after his pass on Andrea Locatelli.
06:14Looking at that reaction you'd imagine Toprak's just come down the inside into turn six and
06:19Bassani's left with nothing to show for this one. Now or never for Razgatlioglu if he wants to race
06:24with Bulliga. It was an absolute must after his early era. Running off the circuit there. Remy Gardner
06:29I think further back dropping back now from seventh position. He will lose out to Yari Montella who's now
06:35up into seventh place. Petrucci on the other Barney bike. Now stalking Andrea Locatelli. This is what exactly
06:41what we said there'd be. A real fight for third position. It's Alex Lowe's leading that group.
06:46Locatelli, Petrucci, Sam Lowe's, Yari Montella, Remy Gardner. Alvaro Bautista is also going to fancy
06:51his chances of a spot on the rostrum this afternoon. Yeah you said there's about eight riders that are
06:54going to fancy their chances of being in that battle. There they are. And certainly for Petrucci we know
07:00that if he's given half a sniff he's going to try and come through. And for the likes of Bautista
07:05still down there in ninth position but we know as the race progresses he will get stronger. Yeah gold helmet
07:10for Danilo Petrucci this weekend. It's the bronze medal he's chasing of course. Look at Toprak though.
07:14He's pulled back a quarter of a second there on Bulliga. All in the final sector as well from Toprak
07:20Razgath Lioglu. Fastest final sector. I wonder whether Bulliga might have made a small error there
07:24but either way he's got Razgath Lioglu now right on his tail. I think you're just seeing a little bit of red
07:28mist for Toprak and he knows he has to put it all on the line. Yeah it was a sluggish final sector from Bulliga though.
07:33Slower than anyone else in the top ten last time around as we see the fight for fourth position now. Danilo Petrucci
07:40through on Andrea Locatelli. Now chasing after Alex Lowe's. Sam Lowe's trying to recover. Bautista still in ninth position.
07:47So not swift progress from him early on. This is going to be interesting to see as well. Obviously the super concession frame for Yamaha
07:52they say it helps an awful lot on the acceleration out of the corners. In the past it would have been very vulnerable
07:57to the Mark BDS bike but for Locatelli it's a little bit. You know they're going backwards. He's been passed by
08:02and he was under pressure through turn 11 there from Xavi Vieja as well. Vieja making his comeback
08:08from injury. Remember this weekend Yannone likewise. There is Alvaro Bautista at the back
08:13still of this group in ninth place and that's how Andrea Yannone's race one is going to end in the
08:19gravel trap on lap number three. Looks like down to turn 14 there for Yannone and shame for Andrea
08:26after that penalty obviously starting from the fourth row of the bridge. New personal best lap last time
08:31around for Niccolò Bologa. 1.33.2. Top rack Razgatlioglu matches it. Four tenths between them at the head of the field.
08:36Gap of three seconds then to the fight for third. Alex Lowe's holding on but you fancy Petrucci is going
08:41to be on his tail very quickly. This is actually a little bit earlier. It looks like turn 13 maybe for
08:45Yannone and it's going to be a fast one for him. You heard that little bit offline. It really is very narrow
08:51through there for the riders and once you step off that line as you can see he tried to come through. It would have been on
08:57but it just puts you that little bit off track of where you need to be. You have a little bit too much lean
09:02angle then for the speed you're carrying and then you end up at a crash like that. Yeah turn 13 is what
09:06150 kilometers per hour so carrying some speed through there. Andrea Yannone as he comes to grief and
09:11hopefully he's okay not least after only just making his return from injury sustained at the start of the
09:17weekend in last timeout. Niccolò Bologa versus top rack Razgatlioglu. Bologa doing well from the second row of the
09:23top rack doing well to recover after running wide and dropping out of the podium places altogether
09:29on lap number one and now we're back where we should have been at the start ready with Bologa
09:33versus Razgatlioglu at the head of the field. Yeah both of them in the low 33s right now. The key
09:38is going to be when they drop to the high 33s and which of them is able to keep themselves at a fast
09:43consistent pace all the way through. Yes Bologa versus Razgatlioglu. We ride on board briefly with top rack.
09:48Behind them it's Alex Lowe's. Danilo Petrucci halving the gap they slapped so far. So just two
09:54tenths of a second now to Alex Lowe's in third position. We're going to have two fights in one
09:58just as we anticipated. Yeah and a really good effort from Alex there on the Bermuda to be able to do
10:02what he's doing. You can see at the front of the field here. Bologa is with that harder front hire.
10:06That should give him a bit of an advantage at times during this one but look at the speed top rack and
10:10carry through turn one into two. This could set up a move into four. Opportunity in towards turn four.
10:15The first gear 70 kilometer an hour. Right hander and then turn five. The speed begins a bit.
10:20Yeah the line closed off there well by Bologa but he knows that he has to defend defend defend.
10:24Top rack's going to be close enough to try something into turn eight. That's where he ran off on lap one
10:28though. Niccolo Bologa your race leader having started following a penalty from fourth on the grid.
10:33Top rack Razgatlioglu who led initially but ran wide. Clawing all over the back of Bologa through
10:38La Quecha on lap number five but not able to find a way through. Bologa's really good on the exit of turn six.
10:43He just finds those couple of bike lengths but look at how hard he's having to ride.
10:46Big waggle on the front. Big door open from Niccolo Bologa into turn nine and Razgatlioglu will punish it to lead on lap five here in Misana.
10:54And that came from the head shake on the run into nine. He wasn't able to get the bike stopped into the right position and that's what opens the door for top rack.
11:00And in the background of the shot you can see Danilo Petrucci ahead of Alex Lowes now for third position.
11:06So your podium scrap Petrucci released at the head of that group. Crucial for the likes of Sam Lowes now to get through quickly
11:11on Andrea Locatelli and also his brother Alex Lowes if he wants to go after Petrucci.
11:16Remember the two of them had great bikes throughout the weekend. He lost last time out but there's two bikes between them now in that battle for third.
11:23Yeah and obviously Sam the other rider in this league group using that harder front higher receiver comes back to him as the race progresses.
11:30Top rack he's done a really good job to make up for that mistake on that one.
11:33And like you said Alex this is where we expected to be. This is where we wanted to be with these two going head-to-head again.
11:39But again you can see there for Boulica on that change of direction through the right-hander at turn one.
11:44He just can't get the bike flipped over as quickly as top rack to get into position for turn two.
11:49Top rack just able to find a little bit of extra speed in that one corner but there's nothing to choose between these two riders.
11:56Incredible pace at the front though because they're a second a lap faster than the riders behind them.
12:00Petrucci 5.3 seconds behind after five completed laps. Here he is ahead of Alex Lowe's.
12:07Then it's Locatelli and Sandlowe's. Let's see if we get the opportunity to see here how Petrucci made his move on Alex Lowe's.
12:12Yeah the move you'd expect. Obviously Lowe's just can't defend against the power of a Ducati.
12:16And for Petrucci he's able to make a nice clean move down in towards the left-hander at turn eight and doesn't impact him, doesn't slow him down.
12:23And for Lowe's as well it didn't have any impact on him other than the fact he dropped down to that fourth position.
12:28Yeah still only three tenths of a second back from Danilo Petrucci and opening up that gap all the time over Andrea Locatelli.
12:34In fact two new personal best sectors on lap six so far for Alex Lowe's as he tries to consolidate fourth place.
12:40All the while it's Sam Lowe's who's on the march and Sam now just a tenth of a second from Andrea Locatelli for fifth position.
12:47Lap number six and we watch back from top rack Razgatlioglu to Niccolò Bulaga behind him.
12:52Yeah you can see for Bulaga there the harder front tyre for him as we've said and he just seems pretty comfortable through there.
12:59What's interesting though is the exit of turn 10 when they both got grip, Bulaga can't get close enough to try and attack into Corvone.
13:06Speaking to some of the Ducati personnel they've said that through Corvone turn 11 that Bulaga is faster than anyone even the MotoGP riders whenever they've been able to put everyone outside here together.
13:16And Bulaga really is good around this place and all the top rack's good here too.
13:21New personal best lap from Danilo Petrucci, new personal best lap from Alex Lowe's.
13:25They're both pushing on opening the gap over Andrea Locatelli who's seven tenths of a second behind.
13:30The fight is the fifth position between Locatelli and Sam Lowe's.
13:33Yari Montella keeping up with them well and then Alvaro Bautista sits in eighth position.
13:38This is yet another spill this weekend in Misano for Michael Vandermark who's already crashed in each of the three free practice sessions.
13:46And now another spill for him in race number one.
13:48Yeah just hearing from the pits as well Liam just telling us that Ducati are saying that the difference between the hard tyre and the front tyre it seems to kick in a little bit around lap 8, 9, 10.
13:57So then in the next few laps this is when we should be able to see Bulaga really just find that little bit extra.
14:03And this is where it gets interesting to see what top rack can do.
14:05Yes it's up to Raskaplyoglu now to defend that track position.
14:09He had to work so hard to get it.
14:11Once fortunately with the penalty for Bulaga and then a second time super aggressive fighting his way through.
14:16Yeah and we know that obviously for Raskaplyoglu it looked like the move on Bassani was as aggressive as he had to be.
14:22And for him up against Bulaga he's having to do the same.
14:26Interesting down in towards turn 14 there.
14:28You can see it was a little bit more difficult for top rack to get the bike stopped.
14:31Ran a little bit deeper into the corner compared to the last few laps.
14:35And we'll wait and see what the lap times are like.
14:3833.5 last time around for both of these riders.
14:40And when they come across the line still 33.5.
14:42So good consistent pace.
14:43Still within a couple of tenths of a second of the fastest lap from top rack.
14:46And this could be a very very long race of defence for top rack Raskaplyoglu.
14:51Because it doesn't look as though he's going to be able to break away from Niccolò Bulaga.
14:54Yeah well he's not going to be able to break away from Bulaga.
14:56And that's no surprise to top rack and to BMW.
14:58They knew that they were going to be in a dogfight all the way.
15:01And you can see again here though for the Ducati riders just what they're able to do.
15:05Yari Montella running up there inside the top seven.
15:07A little bit like Phillip Island where we knew Ducati had that.
15:10A little bit of an advantage over some of the other bikes.
15:12Montella is able to make it count as well.
15:14And doing a really good job to be able to stick in front of Alvaro Bautista especially.
15:18Yeah first half of the race always a struggle for Bautista.
15:20But this will be disappointing because he had some confidence coming into the weekend.
15:25Looks good right from the word go in FP1.
15:28And again in FP3 he was relatively close to Raskaplyoglu and Bulaga.
15:33The pace goes away from him in Superpole.
15:35And unfortunately he's nowhere in race one either.
15:37Down in eighth place as they stand a second back from Yari Montella on the second Barney bike.
15:41Yeah just to look at the Ducati's as well.
15:44Petrucci, Lowes, Montella and Bautista all set their personal best last time around.
15:49Again giving a good indication of how that Ducati used its tyre.
15:52That's why it's impressive to see on this lap.
15:54Toprack's been able to open up maybe a tenth of a second here on Bulaga.
15:58But Nico just try and answer back in final second.
16:00Quick word on your closest scrap at the moment.
16:02Still for fifth position but Sam Lowes just can't find a way through.
16:05As Toprack Raskaplyoglu runs wide and out over the green paint on lap number eight.
16:09He's done that a couple of times already as well.
16:11It's an indication of how hard Toprack's pushing.
16:13But we also know that there's only so many times we're allowed to do that.
16:16Lap nine then gets underway.
16:18Raskaplyoglu four tenths of a second now ahead of Nicolo Bulaga.
16:21A tenth of a second faster than him last time around.
16:24Danilo Petrucci, Alex Lowes, Andrea Locatelli, Sam Lowes all putting in their new personal best laps again on lap number eight.
16:31Sam just can't find a way through on Locatelli though.
16:33The gap's been oscillating between one and three tenths of a second for the last four or five laps and no way through for Sam Lowes.
16:39But this is where with that harder front tire, let's see if it starts to come to Sam a little bit in that battle with Locatelli and then his brother Alex and then Petrucci.
16:47But at the front of the field you can see Toprack again here just picking up that tenth of a second.
16:52Again for Toprack though you can see he's on that knife edge and having to really be on the limit.
16:58BMW have said all the way through this weekend they feel that they're back in the world championship hunt.
17:02And the reason for that is they know that Toprack can elevate the performance and find that little bit extra that's needed.
17:08And as long as he's got a little bit more comfort and confidence in the bike he can make the difference.
17:13But Bulaga will just keep him honest all the way.
17:17Yeah still four tenths of a second between the two of them.
17:19Bulaga answering back with the new fastest second sector of anyone on lap number nine.
17:23Here's your closest race at this stage with Andrea Locatelli versus Sam Lowes.
17:28It's been a good few laps in which Sam has not been able to find his way through and all the while it's enabling Danilo Petrucci to consolidate that third position which is realistically the target for Sam Lowes here.
17:39What's interesting with it is though it shows again for Sam the steps that he's made with the team this year.
17:44He doesn't look hassled, he doesn't look harried on the bike, he doesn't look like he's panicking, he's waiting for the opportunity.
17:49New fastest lap of the race from Toprack Razz Gaffliogli on one minute 33.201, half a second now ahead of Niccolò Bulaga at the front.
17:56Bulaga goes with him though only half a tenth of a second slower so even whenever Toprack goes out there and he sets a new fastest lap of the race he doesn't gain anything.
18:05And fastest of that secondary group last time around Alvaro Bautista finally coming back to the party as always once you pass that eight or nine laps Bautista starts to gain in speed.
18:151.34, 1.96 for Bautista cut three tenths of a second to Yari Montella ahead of him.
18:20Montella closing as well on that fight between Locatelli and Sam Lowes as we return our focus to the two leaders because Niccolò Bulaga has made up almost three tenths of a second in the opening sector of lap number 10 and is now just two tenths behind Razz Gaffliogli for the lead.
18:34Yeah and this is that crossover moment and maybe this is the difference for that hard tyre it just looks easier to stop there for Bulaga and he just pulls back again another few bike lengths through turn 10 and this is going to be a very very long second half of the race for Toprack.
18:48As Niccolò Bulaga approaches in towards turn 11 Corvone where we've already seen him make a move in this race one he's not close enough to Toprack through there.
18:57Let's see Toprack on the brakes down in towards turn 14 he's on the angle all the way through there and he's able to hold his apex into the corner there so that's good for Toprack but Bulaga on this lap has so much more potential than him.
19:10You feel like it's just a matter of time this Bulaga three tenths faster than Toprack Razz Gaffliogli in the first sector of lap number 10 the first sector of lap number 11 will present an opportunity now to Niccolò Bulaga to try and fight his way through knock down the start finish straight at only 510 meters now the change of direction through turns one and two then the speed builds before the heavy braking again towards turn four next opportunity for Niccolò Bulaga Razz Gaffliogli though with a good start to this lap 11.
19:38Turn 8 is going to be the key place really for Bulaga because if he can exit turn 6 onto the back straight well maybe then you're able to get alongside Toprack.
19:46We know that Bulaga is not afraid of trying to outbreak Toprack he's done it many times already in the last two years so he's going to give himself that chance it's down in towards this next left-hander that probably is the best place for him to make the move because what we've seen from Razz Gaffliogli so far is he's able to exit Tramonto turn 10 very well.
20:02Stunning first sector on lap 11 from Toprack Razz Gaffliogli. Bulaga losing a lot of time there and look at how that gap has opened back up to half a second between them.
20:09Yeah half a second faster than he went last lap around so it must have been a mistake for Toprack but again it just shows you the limit that he has to be on.
20:17Yeah Razz Gaffliogli pushing as hard as he can. Think back to Portimao where he just about squeezed three race victories.
20:23All race two in Moss last time out where he was nabbed in the run to the line. That's the kind of race that we could be in for here as Toprack Razz Gaffliogli tries to defend P1.
20:32Remy Gardner is out of race one here in Misano. Disappointment for him. Had a couple of crashes on Friday afternoon here and another here that ends his first point scoring opportunity of the weekend.
20:44But back to your race leading duo again. Razz Gaffliogli running wide and out on the green paint and the stewards will soon be warning him for exceeding track limits.
20:52They're already warning other riders. Sam Lowe's has a warning for exceeding track limits and it's a long second half of the race if you're not able to run onto that green paint.
21:00So let's take stock. Lap number 12 of 21. So still 10 laps to go. Razz Gaffliogli leads by half a second. Petrucci nine seconds back from your race leader.
21:11He has not been able to break fully away from Alex Lowe's. Four tenths of a second there the gap. Locatelli fending off Sam Lowe's but very soon is going to have company from Alvaro Bautista.
21:21Bautista is only three tenths behind Yari Montella and once he's clear of him Sam Lowe's Andrea Locatelli and then the gap of two seconds to the podium places becomes a possibility.
21:31Yeah you have to say for Alex Lowe's up there in P4 really good effort on the Bermuda to be able to go with Petrucci.
21:37He's got a second over Locatelli behind them as well. 1.3 across the line so he's doing a very solid job on that number 22 machine.
21:44Obviously for Bermuda a bit of a shame that you don't have Vassani there as well because he would have been in the mix.
21:49Yeah it's great fourth place last time out from Alex Lowe's race one of the Czech round and he's looking to replicate that result here.
21:56This is Alvaro Bautista at the back of that quartet. He's the man on the move at present.
22:00Faster by about one and a half tenths of a second per lap than Yari Montella.
22:05It's got the stunning progress that we've seen from Alvaro Bautista in his title winning seasons.
22:09But he is certainly faster than the men ahead of him and as I say he's less than a second now from Andrea Locatelli in fifth place.
22:16Bit of a snap there for Alvaro whenever the weight transferred around but for him he's put the pressure on here in Montella.
22:23Crawling all over the back of him but needs to focus on getting the right exit out of the last corner to see if you're able to get alongside into turn one.
22:30Seven tenths of a second now between Razzgaffioglu and Bologa at the front.
22:33Your race is for third position and indeed perhaps for fifth.
22:37So we see the riders further down the order. It's Petrucci in third ahead of Alex Lowe's in fourth.
22:43Only two tenths of a second between them now.
22:45Bautista still trying to find his way through on Montella but Montella defending vigorously at the start of lap 13.
22:51Yeah you can see there in the tightening tower the top rack picked up almost two tenths of a second.
22:55Just over two tenths of a second on Bologa.
22:57The gap's out at eight tenths now into sector one.
23:00He's picked up another tenth.
23:01Can Toprak stretch it out over a second?
23:03And Petrucci versus Alex Lowe's then Locatelli an isolated fifth.
23:07Sam must have dropped some time somewhere in that opening sector.
23:10Three tenths of a second loss to Locatelli all in one go.
23:13Montella and Bautista now right with him as Alvaro Bautista gets the run in towards Quetcher on lap number 13.
23:19And finally Alvaro Bautista is making progress once again.
23:22He's up to seven.
23:23Sam's into that unknown territory now having missed out on free practice two yesterday and the longer run.
23:29He's struggling a little bit the last few laps.
23:31He's lost a couple of tenths here and there to Locatelli.
23:34That's what you lose by not having that free practice session to do a long 15, 20 lap run.
23:39And given the way that he's structured most of his weekends this year, that's been one of the big advantages for him just to have that experience.
23:46New personal best second sector from Sam Lowe's.
23:48He tries to recover.
23:49New personal best second sector for Alvaro Bautista as well on his way through on at Yari Montella.
23:54Key for Bautista now is to dispatch Sam Lowe's quickly get after Locatelli.
23:58And Locatelli is only one and a half seconds behind Petrucci for the last of those podium spots.
24:02So Bautista could give us some real entertainment in the final third of proceedings here.
24:06And his teammate as well.
24:07He's pulled back a tenth of a second on top right at the front of the field.
24:10So Boulog has been able to answer back to Razzagliogli.
24:13Razzagliogli's slowest snap of the race basically at 33.7 there.
24:16So we'll see what he does next time around.
24:18He's been in and around the mid-33s for the race so far.
24:23Alvaro Bautista suffered a weekend in Moss last time out without a podium.
24:28First time this season he's not managed to make it up onto the Rostrum.
24:32Disappointing superpole result for Bautista.
24:34But we know his pace is good as Sam Lowe struggles to get the bike stopped with a slide there that puts Alvaro Bautista now right on his tail.
24:42Nose to tail as they head on towards the back straight towards turn eight where Alvaro Bautista made his pass on Yari Montella a lap ago.
24:49He's trying to replicate that move here on Sam Lowe's on lap 14.
24:53And Bautista dives down the inside under heavy braking but he's not going to get it stopped.
24:57And that's going to open the door to Yari Montella to come back through as well.
25:01And this race is not going to plan for Alvaro Bautista.
25:04Yeah, passive there in the Bautista side of Pitbox Studio Nava.
25:08And for Alvaro suddenly there's all that work to do now to come through on Montella again.
25:12Just said a new personal best lap last time around as well Alvaro Bautista a one minute 34.177 so faster than anyone other than your top two.
25:21And at that stage you were starting to think maybe third position could be a possibility but a lot of lost ground there.
25:26And the ceiling looks like being fifth place now for Bautista.
25:29We're watching Xavi Vieque and Scott Redding.
25:32They are in tenth and eleventh places.
25:35But meanwhile you've got a gap of three tenths of a second between Petrucci and Lowe's for third and fourth.
25:39Half a second between your two race leaders Razgav Lioglu and Boulogar.
25:44And a gap that's starting to open up between Locatelli and Sam Lowe's now for fifth position.
25:48Yeah, you've got Boulogar again a tenth of a second faster last time around than Toprak.
25:53So starting to come back to him.
25:55And for Petrucci obviously under pressure from Alex Lowes as well.
26:00And we'll see if Lowes is able to claw back a little bit of time last time around.
26:04Faster by again half a tenth of a second on Petrucci.
26:07Just keeps edging himself closer and closer.
26:10To that podium spot as well.
26:12So half a second between the race leaders.
26:14And only those couple of tenths of a second in the battle for the podium.
26:18Watching on board with Toprak Razgav Lioglu up at the head of the field.
26:23Six tenths clear of Niccolò Boulogar.
26:25This is Ica Lekuona.
26:26Isolated ninth.
26:27Two seconds behind Alvaro Bautista.
26:29Four and a half seconds ahead of Xavi Vieque.
26:32You've got races for first with four tenths of a second now between Razgav Lioglu and Boulogar.
26:37For third, two tenths between Petrucci and Alex Lowes.
26:40Alex Lowes with a new personal best in sector two as well.
26:42So that's why he's clawed back onto the back end once again.
26:46We've seen that Alvaro Bautista's come through on Yari Montella as well.
26:50It's a good recovery from Alvaro after making that mistake a lap ago.
26:53Yeah, just saw it in the background of the previous shot.
26:55Bautista coming through on Yari Montella.
26:57And up into seventh place.
27:00So the next target is Sam Lowes.
27:021.2 seconds up the road now as Alex Lowes really starts to attack the back of Danilo Petrucci.
27:07Just a tenth of a second between them now for the final step on the podium.
27:11And a golden opportunity for Bermota to get up into these rostrum spots.
27:16And what a memorable weekend it would be for Alex Lowes if he can pull this off.
27:20He's got a bit of a run on Danilo Petrucci at the start of lap 16.
27:24Lowes not close enough in towards turn one.
27:25But only a tenth now between Petrucci and Alex Lowes.
27:28And he's going to dive for the inside into turn two on the switchback.
27:31Captures Petrucci by surprise.
27:33Petrucci will have the inside but Lowes is clear of him.
27:36Superlative riding from the Bermota man on lap 16.
27:39Yeah, great stuff there from Alex.
27:41And he's just had that consistent pace all the way through.
27:44Still lapping in the low 34s.
27:46A 34.3 last time around.
27:48That's only two tenths of a second off his fastest lap of the race.
27:50So it shows how good of a job he's been able to do to manage the tyres in this one.
27:54So, changes to your order over the last lap or so as Petrucci attacks back on Alex Lowes.
28:00And he will get down the inside in towards La Cuercha.
28:04Petrucci through then for third position.
28:06What a shame for Alex Lowes who's got to regroup and provide all of that entertainment again.
28:10Yeah, this is the tough part for Lowes on that Bermota because you are so vulnerable down the straights, especially to the likes of Danilo Petrucci on that Ducati.
28:19Petrucci, Barney Ducati gets back in front then of Alex Lowes for third position.
28:25These two taking time from one another because Andrea Locatelli has gained four tenths of a second on this lap in fifth position.
28:30He's bringing Sam Lowes with him. Sam is seven tenths back and then Bautista we know is faster than all of these riders in front of him in this group.
28:38It's a five rider scrap for the last of the podium places with six laps to go.
28:42Yeah, and we'll see what happens at the front of the field.
28:45We can see Toprak riding on board with him but we need to see him on track because Boulog is now within a tenth of a second of him.
28:50Last time around Toprak dropped down into the 34s and Toprak's pace has gone off the boil a little bit the last couple of laps.
28:57Boulog is going to be in a position to attack on him.
29:00Two tenths between your top two, two tenths between third and fourth and then a big group all the way down to seventh position covered by just two seconds.
29:07As we recover our race leaders, Niccolò Boulog is right on the tail of Toprak Razgatlioglu, two tenths of a second faster than him last time around.
29:15And you can see there for Boulog able to run across that inside curb at turn six. He's got a lot of confidence right now.
29:21Toprak Razgatlioglu has track position though and how long can he hang on in there?
29:26It's four and a half laps now. He'll be almost ticking down the corners as he tries to hold back Boulog.
29:31Remember Toprak lost out in the run to the line last time out race two in mast.
29:36He's looking to recover five points here up at the head of the field. Crucial in the context of the world championship.
29:41Yeah, Toprak's struggling to get any of the power down there, just doing everything he can.
29:46That's why the rear end is just losing that little bit of traction.
29:48But for him, he's still able to hold off Boulog on the run into turn 11.
29:52And in this part of the track, it's always difficult to make a move on Toprak just because you have to break on the angle.
29:58That's Toprak's big strength.
29:59And Boulog, he might be a little bit faster than him, but Toprak's still got that track position.
30:04The difference over the last four laps of that margin that was six and a half tenths of a second that's now come down to less than two tenths of a second between Toprak, Razgatlioglu and Niccolò Boulog.
30:15They come through to start lap number 18. Four to go then for Boulog to find his way through.
30:21But he's looking increasingly menacing at this stage of the race.
30:24Yeah, for Boulog. Let's see if he's able to get close enough into turn four to try something.
30:28Turn six is the key thing because that sets you up down in towards the quarter turn eight at the end of that back straight.
30:32Toprak's just been told by the team again on the pit board to make a change to his traction control.
30:37They're trying to open that up a little bit to just give him a little bit more feel out there.
30:41Through the exit of Rio then, left-hander now at turn six, 130 kilometers per hour through there.
30:47Then the speed builds to one of the top speeds on the circuit, 280 kilometers per hour before heavy braking into La Cuerche.
30:54Is Boulog close enough? The answer is no. Razgatlioglu holds on again, but another bit of a moment under heavy braking there.
31:00Yeah, Toprak has a little bit of an endo wind to turn eight, but he's able to collect it nicely and hold on to that lead.
31:06So you can see down in towards turn nine and ten.
31:08Boulog is going to be a little bit wider through here to try and give himself the chance to get the gas a little bit earlier than Toprak.
31:13But you can see through that section, Toprak's able just to exit a little bit better.
31:18And for Boulog, he's got the slipstream, but Toprak's got good top speed.
31:22And Razgatlioglu lives to fight for another lap.
31:24Yes, but we know how strong that Ducati is through Carvone and now in towards turn 14.
31:30He's not going to be quite close enough this time around.
31:32As you say, he's counting down the laps now at this stage for Razgatlioglu.
31:36Another brilliant demonstration of just why this man has been sought out by MotoGP for next season.
31:42And again, why Boulog has been for 20-27 and why Ducati want him to lead some of the development on their bike with the Pirelli tires for the new regs in 20-27.
31:49These two riders have shown themselves to be the class of the field.
31:53And once again, they're able to fight it out all the way through.
31:56And Toprak's not counting down the laps.
31:57He's counting down the corners right now.
31:59Three laps to go.
32:00Who blinks first?
32:01It might take an error from Toprak Razgatlioglu to concede this place.
32:05Boulogka, two-tenths back still with three laps to go.
32:08This is the fight for third place.
32:09Petrucci, 14 seconds back from your top two.
32:12Fending off Alex Lowes.
32:13It's only half a second to Locatelli and only a second to Sam Lowes with Bautista seven-tenths further back.
32:19Three riders immediately in the mix and potentially Sam Lowes and Alvaro Bautista as well if they can close in the final stages.
32:26Yeah, Locatelli's crew were hanging out over the pit wall trying to give him as much encouragement as possible.
32:30Locatelli, last time around, three-tenths of a second faster than the riders in front of him.
32:34Petrucci's bottling everyone up, but he's still able to hold on to that third position for a podium spot.
32:38Strong enough in the straights, Petrucci to be able to hold on every time Alex Lowes gets close to him.
32:43He even came past at one stage as Alvaro Bautista attacks the back of Sam Lowes now through La Cuercia on lap 19.
32:50Needs to dispatch Lowes quickly because there's 1.2 seconds ahead of Sam Lowes to Andrea Locatelli, who's in fifth at present,
32:56number four-tenths now covering three riders in the race for the final step on the podium.
33:00Yeah, and for Bautista, should be able to get a bit of a run on Sam at this section of the track,
33:06but it's one thing to get yourself alongside.
33:09You need to be able to do it early enough into turn 11, and Lowes able to hold off Bautista again.
33:14Sam Lowes struggling at this stage of the race.
33:16Bautista not close enough to make his move, you fancy, in towards turn 14.
33:21But next time around, Bautista should be looking to get...
33:24Just for Sam, as well, still not from within two-tenths of the second of his fastest lap of the race,
33:27so good consistent pace.
33:29Two-tenths now, a gap at the head of the field.
33:31Alvaro, a top-rack, Razgat-Lioglu, I should say, 1 minute 33.762 on lap 19.
33:37Nicolo Bulliga into the 1 minute 34, so Bulliga not able to keep the pace of Razgat-Lioglu.
33:42Onto the start-finish straight, with nothing to choose between Petrucci and Alex Lowes,
33:45and still Petrucci is able to hold on.
33:48Lowes thinks about a move to the inside in turn two, but it's defended by Petrucci successfully.
33:52The reason for that is Petrucci went defensive into one.
33:55That opens up the chance for Lowes to try and carry momentum through turn one,
33:58set something up into turn two, but he's so much faster than Petrucci,
34:02but just can't make use of that.
34:04Next pass might well be Alvaro Bautista on Sam Lowes.
34:06He's going to try it into La Quercia, surely, on this penultimate lap.
34:10That's going to leave him with too little time to go after these podium places.
34:14It's Petrucci versus Alex Lowes at this stage for third position,
34:17and Bautista again on lap 20, not close enough to Sam Lowes for sixth place.
34:20Top rack's broken away from Bulliga as well.
34:22The gap now up to three quarters of a second,
34:24and Razgat-Lioglu last time around still lapping down in those 33s,
34:27so he's found something in these closing stages,
34:30and he's got a gap of just over half a second now.
34:34Yes, Razgat-Lioglu looking in control,
34:36but that's not been the case for much of this race with Niccolò Bulliga keeping him honest throughout.
34:41Petrucci 15 seconds further back, holding on ahead of Alex Lowes.
34:45Andrea Locatelli still there,
34:47and still only two seconds between Petrucci in third,
34:51and Alvaro Bautista in seventh.
34:52What might have been but for a disappointing qualifying for Alvaro Bautista.
34:56That's the story of Alvaro's season,
34:58and unfortunately for him, if you qualify badly,
35:00you put yourself in this position rather than being able to fight it out for the podium spots
35:05or trying to go with your teammate,
35:06but for Alvaro, he just has to try and salvage a top six, top five finish,
35:11but he hasn't really been able to make much of an impression on Sam yet.
35:15Four kilometers to go, Bulliga half a second behind,
35:17matches Razgat-Lioglu's pace last time around,
35:20but it's not enough.
35:20Sam Lowes defends to the inside against Alvaro Bautista into turn one,
35:24again less than a tenth of a second between them as they cross the line,
35:27this time to start the final lap.
35:29Danilo Petrucci looking good to make it a fourth consecutive podium
35:32after his three third places in at Moss four weeks ago.
35:36But Alex Lowes, this is undoubtedly the best performance we've seen from him
35:39and from Bermota since their return to World SBK.
35:42Yeah, and obviously for Bermota, having the test here has helped him an awful lot.
35:45Everywhere else we've gone other than Phillip Island,
35:47they've really had to try and just find something over the course of a race.
35:50Again, here they were able to have a base setting from the outsession.
35:52Last attempt into La Cuerza for Alvaro Bautista.
35:56Sam Lowes goes defensive.
35:57Bautista now will try and square it off and gain the momentum
36:01and the run in towards turns nine and ten.
36:04He's not quite close enough into nine.
36:05The door is left half a jar.
36:06Bautista slides his way in.
36:08Super stuff from Bautista, but he's going to overcook it
36:10through turn ten.
36:11And Sam Lowes just picks the mic straight back up.
36:14Now it's the run towards Corvone
36:15and perhaps the final opportunity for Alvaro Bautista.
36:18Twice he's been a little bit rash there trying to make the move on Lowes.
36:21Frustration for Bautista setting in
36:22as he sits down in seventh position.
36:24His teammate chases down top-rack Razgatlioglu,
36:27but he will not be close enough.
36:29Top-rack Razgatlioglu wins in Mizano.
36:32His 64th career victory,
36:34surpassing Bautista for second on the all-time win list in World SVK.
36:38Bolliger second over the line
36:40and a second is the margin in the end.
36:42And then we'll see the fight to the flag for third position.
36:45Danilo Petrucci should hold on,
36:46but it's going to be only just the Bermontar.
36:50Only a couple of tenths of a second away
36:52from a first podium in World SVK.
36:54Fifth position for Andrea Locatelli.
36:56Solid result from him in the end.
36:58Head of Sam Lowe's and Alvaro Bautista
37:00can only come home in seventh position.
37:02And I must admit that even though
37:04he didn't have the best of Super Bowls,
37:05you still would have been fancying Bautista
37:07for a place on the podium.
37:08He just didn't have good enough pace there.
37:10Yeah, the mistake of turn eight
37:11when he ran into deep cost him a lot of time
37:13and could while it cost him a chance
37:15of being able to take that podium spot.
37:17Petrucci did really well to defend that.
37:19He didn't have to speak to the other riders around him,
37:21but he was able to hold on to that position.
37:22Knew the strength of his bike
37:23and was able to position it in the right places.
37:26Alex Lowe's tried to make the move,
37:27came through on Petrucci,
37:29but just couldn't get enough of a gap to him
37:31before turn eight and being attacked there.
37:33But Toprak, that's a great performance by him
37:36because I thought at one stage in that race,
37:38Bouliger was coming at him hard.
37:40About a third distance,
37:41it looked like Toprak hadn't had no pace
37:44and Bouliger was swarming all over the back of him.
37:46Toprak digs in, great mid-phase of the race.
37:49Then Bouliger comes back at him again.
37:51That was really entertaining stuff,
37:52even though there was no actual pass
37:54from, what, lap three onwards.
37:55It was still super engaging.
37:57Yeah, Toprak making that mistake
37:58down at turn eight on lap one
38:00certainly left him with a lot of work to do.
38:02And obviously for Axel Bassani,
38:04we'll have him in the mix
38:05in the Super Bowl race as well tomorrow.
38:07But one of those situations for Toprak
38:09where he knew that he needed to win this one
38:12and he's been able to get the 25 points,
38:15but he's having to work so hard
38:16to pick up five extra points there
38:18on Nicola Bouliger.
38:19You just touched on Axel Bassani.
38:21It does really look like track position
38:22is absolutely vital for that promoter
38:25because we've seen it there with Alex Lowes.
38:27He attacked Petrucci,
38:27got through briefly at one stage,
38:29immediately fell prey again.
38:31But like in Moss Race 1,
38:33when he gets a good qualifying,
38:34when he gets a good start,
38:35he's got a bit of clear track in front of him.
38:37There is actually some speed in that promoter
38:39and Alex Lowes will be satisfied
38:40to have matched that best result thus far
38:43for the manufacturer.
38:44He was within an inch at times there
38:46of a place on the podium.
38:48Yeah, it shows the potential of the package
38:49and obviously it also shows
38:51that there's work to be done
38:52and the biggest area is finding that top speed.
38:55And I think for Lowes and for Bermuda,
38:57if you're in a time trial
38:59and we had a 21 lap race around here,
39:01you'd fancy his chances of beating Danilo Petrucci,
39:03but it's not a time trial.
39:05It's up about trying to finish
39:07the highest position you can
39:08and Petrucci had an extra bullet in the gun there
39:10to be able to hold off Alex Lowes.
39:12As we suspected,
39:13good race for third position,
39:15but the margin between first and third
39:19does just demonstrate
39:20what a great job both Razgaflyoglu
39:22and Bologa are doing this season.
39:23Yeah, obviously as well.
39:24The margin is what it is
39:25because everyone in the other group
39:27was having to attack and defend
39:29in a big group
39:30where we could have had
39:31five, six, seven, eight riders at one time.
39:33So it's one of those situations
39:34where top racket and Bologa
39:35are doing a tremendous job,
39:37but whenever there's all those fights
39:39going on behind them,
39:40it also makes it harder
39:41to really see that clear picture
39:43of just how much faster
39:44that top racket and Bologa are.
39:47It was five seconds
39:49just after five laps, wasn't it?
39:50From the leader to Petrucci in third
39:53and ultimately gap of 16.7 seconds
39:57at the checkered flag
39:58from your winner
39:59to your third place finisher.
40:00And you look at Alvaro Bautista
40:02in the end,
40:031.7 seconds between himself
40:05and Petrucci
40:06on the final step of the podium.
40:07So what you said
40:08is absolutely right.
40:09One error from Bautista mid-race
40:11and he could have been
40:13on the podium here.
40:14Yeah, and he's just on that,
40:16unfortunately for Alvaro,
40:17that knife edge right now.
40:18And I think it's fair to say
40:19that the weight penalty
40:21is hurting Alvaro.
40:22We've seen enough information
40:23and data for that
40:24over the course
40:25of the last year and a half.
40:26But he needs to find ways
40:28to make it work
40:29in the Super Bowl session
40:30and with the full tank.
40:31We've just seen a change
40:32to the results
40:33on our timing screen.
40:34Sam's exceed track limits
40:36in that last lap,
40:37you'd imagine.
40:38And we saw he already
40:39had a warning for that.
40:40So Bautista
40:41picking up an extra spot.
40:42Yeah, that's now confirmed, Steve.
40:44So three-second penalty
40:45for Sam Lowe's
40:46for a track limits infringement.
40:49And it's the equivalent
40:49of a long lap penalty.
40:51So Bautista gains a place
40:53to sixth
40:53and that demotes
40:55Sam Lowe's down to seventh.
40:56It's not a big deal
40:57for either of those riders
40:58in real terms.
41:00For both Bautista
41:01and for Sam Lowe's,
41:02the target is to be
41:03up on the podium
41:03and they go again
41:05to try and do better tomorrow.
41:07For Sam Lowe's,
41:08it was all about that start,
41:09wasn't it?
41:09Yeah, it just didn't make
41:11a good start.
41:12And the one thing
41:13for Lowe's,
41:14obviously,
41:14having missed out
41:15on that information
41:15and the data from yesterday,
41:17I think he actually
41:17did a really good job
41:18on the BDS bike
41:19to be able to keep himself
41:20in there with Petrucci
41:21and Bautista.
41:23And he'll certainly think
41:24that in the Superpole race
41:25tomorrow,
41:26there's a chance
41:26to be able to fight it out,
41:28maybe for a podium spot.
41:29Yeah, no reason to expect
41:31that that wouldn't be the case.
41:32You know,
41:32racing against Danilo Petrucci,
41:34Superpole race
41:35is going to be
41:35an opportunity for him.
41:37Axel Vassani
41:38doesn't generally like
41:39the Superpole race too much,
41:41but he's qualified well,
41:42puts him in the mix.
41:43It's an opportunity
41:43for Alex Lowe's as well.
41:45He's just got to get
41:45track position
41:46as quickly as possible.
41:47Yeah, he made a really good start
41:48in this one
41:48to be able to put himself
41:50up into contention.
41:51And that's the key thing
41:52on that BAMOTA,
41:53as you said earlier,
41:54Alex,
41:54about trying to put yourself
41:55into the right place
41:56at the right time
41:57and then see if you're able
41:58to take advantage of it.
41:59But for Lowe's
42:01in the Superpole race,
42:02we know how strong
42:03he is in that 10-lapper anyway.
42:04Yeah, the Yamahas
42:05often find themselves
42:05in the same position
42:06as what we've said
42:08about the BAMOTA,
42:09that, you know,
42:10had Locatelli
42:11been in front of Petrucci there,
42:12you would have given him
42:13half a shot at holding on
42:14for third position.
42:14But ultimately,
42:15he's behind,
42:16he seems faster
42:17in certain areas,
42:18slower in certain areas,
42:19and Locatelli finishes P5.
42:21It was the most
42:21that was available
42:22this afternoon.
42:23Yeah, and I think that,
42:24again, we saw from Locatelli
42:25the improvements
42:26that Yamaha have made
42:27to that bike,
42:28helping a lot on the exit
42:29and some of those
42:30slower corners
42:30just to give them
42:31a little bit of extra
42:32performance and speed
42:34down the straights
42:35that's allowing them
42:36to defend a bit easier
42:37or maybe to give themselves
42:38a chance to attack.
42:39A few riders
42:40with retirements
42:41and for a few of them,
42:43the worst possible time
42:45when they've had
42:45a tough weekend anyway.
42:47Dominic Egerton
42:47has had a tough
42:48recent run.
42:49He was the first rider
42:50retiring after
42:51Bahattin Sofoglu,
42:53another crash for Sofoglu
42:54this weekend,
42:54the last thing he needed.
42:56Andrea Ionone
42:57on his return from injury
42:58and Michael Vandermart
42:59yet again after falling
43:00in all three
43:00free practice sessions.
43:02So some real disappointment
43:04there and riders
43:05will be looking to bounce back
43:06with a much better Sunday.
43:08Yeah, and they get
43:09another two chances tomorrow
43:10and certainly for
43:11Bouligan for top rack,
43:13you're looking forward
43:13to seeing what happens
43:14with them.
43:15Yeah, let's return our focus
43:16to the top two then
43:17because this was another
43:18display from Razgatlioglu
43:20of just what he is capable of.
43:22Manages to get to the front
43:24after an error
43:25in the early stages
43:26to put it mildly
43:27for Razgatlioglu
43:28running off
43:29when he had the race lead
43:30at his mercy.
43:31Yeah, big mistake
43:32from top rack.
43:32Obviously we've only seen it
43:33from the high shot.
43:35It'll be interesting
43:35to see it from a replay
43:37later on as well
43:38because for top rack
43:39we were able to see
43:41that from that point onwards
43:42he really had to get
43:43his head down.
43:44He didn't want to give
43:45Bouligan the chance
43:46to break away
43:47and that's where
43:47it became critical
43:48to come through
43:49and Bassani
43:49as quickly as possible
43:50and again we'll wait
43:52and see what happened
43:52between himself and Bassani.
43:53Bassani didn't look happy
43:55with it
43:55and for Razgatlioglu
43:57he did what he had to do
43:58which is make sure
43:59he could get back
43:59onto the tail end
44:01of the Ducati
44:02right from the outset.
44:03Yeah, Bassani didn't
44:04look happy about it
44:05but we obviously
44:05haven't seen it
44:06and you'd have to assume
44:07that the stewards
44:08haven't seen anything
44:09untoward
44:10because the result's
44:11been declared
44:12as it is
44:12so Razgatlioglu
44:14your race winner
44:15ahead of Niccolò Boulica
44:16and Danilo Petrucci
44:17we didn't even receive
44:18a notification
44:19that there was
44:19any investigation
44:20so again we haven't
44:21seen it
44:22but certainly
44:23no reason to assume
44:25that there was
44:25anything untoward
44:26going on
44:28with that spill
44:29for Axel Bassani
44:30other than
44:30as you say
44:31his reaction.
44:32Razgatlioglu
44:33your winner
44:33ahead of Niccolò Boulica
44:34in second
44:35and Danilo Petrucci
44:36in third
44:37we will hear
44:38from your
44:39Rostrum finishers
44:39in just a couple
44:41of moments
44:41moments time
44:42and for Danilo Petrucci
44:43it's a fourth
44:44consecutive podium
44:45finish
44:46and a great effort
44:47coming through
44:48from eighth
44:48after Super Bowl
44:49and to claim
44:51third place
44:52in a great race
44:53long scrap
44:54with Alex Lowe's
44:55here is the number
44:5911 Ducati
45:00it's the number
45:03nine Ducati
45:04that we want
45:04to hear from
45:05in a couple
45:05of moments time
45:06just getting
45:09the riders
45:09into position
45:10Danilo Petrucci
45:11having to
45:13fend off
45:13the group
45:14he finishes
45:14one tenth
45:15of a second
45:16ahead of Alex Lowe's
45:17ahead of Locatelli
45:17and Bautista
45:18and consolidates
45:20third position
45:21in the world
45:21championship
45:22opening his margin
45:23over Bautista
45:24to 11 points
45:25now overall
45:25well Danilo
45:27it looks like
45:28a very hot day
45:29there
45:29you managed to find
45:30third for the
45:31fourth time
45:32in a row
45:32but just tell us
45:33about the race
45:33and how difficult
45:34it was to keep
45:34Alex Lowe's behind
45:35it was really
45:36really tough
45:37especially
45:38starting from
45:39the third row
45:40was really tough
45:41I have a big
45:43big hit
45:44on the sleeve
45:44I don't know
45:45who he was
45:46but at the end
45:48I was able
45:49to pass
45:51in third position
45:51but then I start
45:52to push
45:53and I was not
45:54even pushing
45:54because it was
45:55really really
45:55hard to manage
45:57rear traction
45:59front grip
46:00was really really
46:00tough
46:01Alex did
46:02a great job
46:03he tried to
46:04overtake me
46:05but I said
46:06I have maybe
46:07a margin
46:08but it was
46:09tough
46:10I was waiting
46:11the last lap
46:12like my birthday
46:13but then
46:14I must say
46:16thanks to all
46:17the people here
46:17the people at home
46:19the crew
46:20and grazie
46:21grazie
46:21grazie a tutti
46:21per essere venuti
46:22grazie
46:22very well done
46:24Danilo Petrucci
46:28with third position
46:29then
46:29here this afternoon
46:31picking up where
46:31he left off
46:32in Moss
46:33last time out
46:34this was a bit
46:34more of a struggle
46:35it has to be said
46:36he didn't have
46:36quite the margin
46:37that he did
46:37over the pack
46:39let's say
46:40last time out
46:40even if he did
46:41have good races
46:42with Sam Lowe's
46:43in Moss
46:43here it was
46:44Alex Lowe's
46:45that he was
46:45fighting against
46:46on the promoter
46:46and this is how
46:47he recovered
46:47that third place
46:48after Alex
46:49briefly saw
46:50daylight in front
46:51yeah and as we
46:52were saying
46:52on the grid
46:53really important
46:53to be able to
46:54come away from
46:55this weekend
46:55with strong results
46:56he's been linked
46:57with other seats
46:57maybe a factory seat
46:59and for him
47:00if you want to
47:01get the chance
47:01to get the factory
47:02money
47:03it's always important
47:04to be able to
47:05come away
47:05with some podiums
47:06and for Petrucci
47:07he did exactly
47:08what he had to do
47:09in this race
47:10and good solid
47:12performance by him
47:12and backs up
47:13what we saw
47:13in Moss
47:14we obviously know
47:14Moss is one of his
47:15favourite tracks
47:16always goes well there
47:17but for Petrucci
47:18the reason he's up
47:19there third
47:20in the championship
47:20he's pretty much
47:21always up inside
47:22the top five
47:22or six spots
47:23obviously we had
47:24the Sunday in Aston
47:25that was a bit
47:26of a disaster for him
47:27but other than that
47:28he's been really
47:28solid and consistent
47:29this year
47:30and his previous
47:31best here in
47:31Mazzano P6
47:33so first podium
47:34at this venue
47:34that's obviously
47:35such a special one
47:36for all of the
47:36Italian riders
47:37yeah and for Danilo
47:38you could see
47:39what it meant for him
47:40and the big crowd
47:41here as well
47:41the paddock's really
47:42been heaving
47:43with people
47:43and it's a real
47:45result for him
47:46to be able to
47:46get up there
47:47on the podium
47:47second place today
47:48for Niccolò Bulliga
47:50he is still your
47:51championship leader
47:52his margin reduced
47:53by five points
47:53to 26
47:55but Niccolò Bulliga
47:56giving Toprak
47:57another close fight
47:59this afternoon
48:00Niccolò
48:01it looked really
48:02tough out there
48:03the pace was hot
48:04the temperature
48:05was hot as well
48:06did you think
48:06you maybe had
48:07a little bit extra
48:08when you saw Toprak
48:09go wide
48:10and then he eventually
48:10came through
48:11you just tell us
48:11about the race
48:12yeah honestly
48:13I didn't have
48:14a very good feeling
48:15with my bike
48:15in some areas
48:16Toprak was a bit
48:17faster so
48:18we have to work
48:19for tomorrow
48:19maybe find a solution
48:20with this track
48:21temperature very hot
48:23and yeah
48:24we will try again
48:25tomorrow
48:25all the best
48:26for tomorrow
48:26and congratulations
48:27yeah that's all
48:29Niccolò Bulliga
48:29can do
48:30is look ahead
48:30to tomorrow
48:31the great situation
48:32for him is that
48:33he's defending
48:33the points lead
48:34he's not dropping
48:35out of those
48:35top two places
48:36so on a day
48:37like today
48:38okay Toprak
48:38takes five points
48:39out on you
48:40but we saw
48:40how the weekend
48:41finished in most
48:42and ultimately
48:42Toprak had the pace
48:44advantage all weekend
48:44there and still
48:46only gained three points
48:47it could easily
48:48be the case that
48:48Bulliga wins
48:49both races tomorrow
48:50on the evidence
48:50of the pace
48:51we've seen from him
48:51through free practice
48:52and Superpol
48:53yeah exactly
48:54and that's the thing
48:54for Asguriyoglu
48:55he knows how hard
48:56he had to ride
48:57to be able
48:58to put himself
48:58into that position
48:59to win this one
49:00and Bulliga knows
49:02that there's a chance
49:03to do what he did
49:04at most
49:04which is
49:05maybe Toprak
49:06wins two races
49:07but Bulliga can easily
49:08win race two tomorrow
49:09and then you're able
49:10to negate the points
49:12difference really
49:12and it's such a
49:13an interesting dynamic
49:15between the two
49:15and on this occasion
49:17it is Toprak
49:18Rasgatlioglu
49:19who comes out
49:20on top
49:21it's his third win
49:22in four races
49:23and once again
49:25victorious here in
49:26Misano
49:26where of course
49:27he took the 2024
49:29championship late
49:30well Toprak
49:31you move into second
49:32of the all-time
49:33winners list
49:33in World Superbikes
49:34but you didn't quite
49:36make it easy
49:36for yourself
49:37you ran off track
49:37in Lab 1
49:38but you had to
49:38fight through brilliantly
49:39just tell us about the race
49:40from your point of view
49:41for me it's not an easy race
49:42but I'm pushing so hard
49:44especially the last lap
49:45but in the race
49:47especially last laps
49:48I feel a lot of
49:49chattering and vibration
49:50but I'm just focused
49:52to win the race
49:53because for me
49:54this is very important
49:55finally I win the race
49:56I'm really happy
49:57this is the teamwork
49:58thanks to my team
49:58but tomorrow
49:59we need to improve
50:00something
50:00and we have a two more
50:02race tomorrow
50:02I hope we are win again
50:03thank you very much
50:04very well done
50:04congratulations
50:05Toprak
50:05yes that's the reality
50:07for Toprak
50:08isn't it
50:08he can't afford
50:09to share the wins
50:11out with Bullocker
50:11because Bullocker
50:13is never dropping
50:13out of the top two
50:14Toprak needs to beat him
50:16every time almost
50:17to pull back
50:17the kind of margin
50:18that he's still got
50:19to recover
50:1926 points
50:20yeah exactly
50:21the consistency
50:21that both of them have
50:22and the gap they have
50:24to the rest of the field
50:24as well
50:25we know that they've got
50:25more performance
50:26and potential
50:27than everyone else
50:28it means that
50:28it's very difficult
50:29to pick up big chunks
50:30of points
50:31on either of them
50:31that's the first time
50:32we've been able to see it
50:33Bisani just slid off
50:34all on his own
50:35and for Axel
50:37that's a big mistake
50:38in the early stages
50:39of this race
50:40and we'll see what he can do
50:40in the Super Bowl race tomorrow
50:41there's Toprak
50:42coming through
50:42in Locatelli
50:43and you can see that
50:44giving chase again
50:45to the riders
50:46in front of him
50:46this is the move
50:47on Bullocker
50:47Bullocker has a bit
50:48of a head shake
50:49puts him out of position
50:50and Toprak
50:51led all the way home
50:52from that point onwards
50:53yes but Bullocker
50:55did keep right with him
50:56and there were phases
50:57in that race
50:57where you thought
50:58it's going to be
50:59very difficult now
51:00for Toprak
51:01to hold him back
51:01so another race
51:03in which Toprak
51:03has been able
51:04to dig deep
51:05but you do feel
51:06that it's much more
51:07marginal for Toprak
51:08than it is for Bullocker
51:09at the moment
51:09yeah Toprak is
51:10on that limit
51:11at all times
51:12whereas Bullocker
51:13just has that
51:13little bit extra
51:14that makes it
51:16a little bit more
51:16comfortable for him
51:17but it was interesting
51:18that Toprak had to go
51:19with that softer front tyre
51:20compared to Bullocker
51:21with the harder front
51:22but Razgit Yagli
51:24were able to make it work
51:25and come away
51:25with the 25 points
51:26for the race victory
51:27and for BMW
51:29they're able to
51:30celebrate that success
51:32and obviously
51:33given the news
51:33that we've had
51:34that Toprak
51:35will be off to MotoGP
51:35they know that
51:37it's about enjoying
51:38those moments
51:39between now
51:39and the end of the season
51:40because Toprak
51:41will be gone
51:42at the end of the year
51:42and they want to make sure
51:43that they're able to
51:44have as much success
51:45as possible before then
51:46he's certainly not
51:46planning on easing off
51:47in the meanwhile
51:48though is he
51:48up to second
51:49in the World SBK
51:50all-time winner's list
51:52yes there is
51:53the Superpole race
51:54and Toprak has won
51:55plenty of those
51:56but that's five ahead
51:57of Karl Fogarty
51:57and now he moves ahead
51:59of Alvaro Bautista
52:00who of course
52:00has done so much winning
52:01in 2022 and 23
52:03last year
52:04and this very much
52:05belonging to Toprak
52:07in terms of that
52:08all-time winner's list
52:09yeah exactly
52:10and Razgit Yagli
52:11his numbers
52:13they all show
52:14just how special
52:15a rider he is
52:16and you can see
52:16again there
52:17another fastest lap
52:18in this one
52:19for Toprak
52:19shows the speed
52:20and the potential
52:21of the BMW
52:22but obviously
52:23we've also seen
52:24through the course
52:24of the year
52:24just how strong
52:25the Ducati is
52:26and what Bulaga
52:27can do with it
52:27it's just about time
52:29for your podium
52:30presentation then
52:32and it's Danilo Petrucci
52:35to the delights
52:36of the crowds
52:37steps up
52:38for third position
52:40here today
52:41and set for Petrucci
52:43podium number 19
52:44and four in a row
52:46again underlining
52:47his consistency
52:49this season
52:49has rarely been out
52:50of the top six
52:52top seven finishers
52:53had a difficult
52:54Sunday
52:54in Assen
52:56and started the
52:58weekend a little bit
52:59below par
52:59in Cremona
53:00but other than that
53:01he's finished up
53:02all of the races
53:02within the top six
53:04second place goes to
53:06Niccolò Bulaga
53:07and for him
53:09it's podium number 38
53:11he's just racking them up
53:12only two races
53:13off the podium
53:13this season so far
53:15the top rack
53:16Razgatlioglu
53:17it is podium
53:19number 154
53:21quite incredible numbers
53:22from his 238th start
53:24and win number 64
53:26with which he surpasses
53:27Alvaro Bautista
53:29on the all-time list
53:30it's also his sixth win
53:32here in Nazano
53:33has fond memories
53:34of this venue
53:35and it is his seventh win
53:40of this season so far
53:42for top rack
53:43Razgatlioglu
53:44time for the team's
53:45presentation now
53:46for BMW
53:47as we've said previously
53:49the announcement's
53:50already come
53:51in the build-up
53:51to this weekend
53:53that top rack
53:53will depart
53:54World SBK
53:56and therefore
53:57depart BMW as well
54:00so rare opportunity
54:01perhaps in the
54:02coming spell
54:04for them to enjoy
54:05these moments
54:06with top rack
54:07Razgatlioglu
54:07hunting down
54:08Niccolò Bulliger
54:09at the top of the
54:10championship
54:10one man I wouldn't
54:11want to have on my
54:12tail
54:12coming for the title
54:14is Razgatlioglu
54:15because the persistence
54:16is there for everyone
54:17to see once again
54:19yeah exactly
54:20and you get to see
54:21it from top rack
54:22just how much of
54:22an animal he is
54:24out there on the
54:25racetrack
54:25we've seen it
54:26time and again
54:26over the years
54:27and once again
54:29in this race
54:29we're able to see
54:30just how good he is

55:24Congratulations.
55:28Top track Razgathlioglu is your race one winner,
55:32but he managed two wins in a row in Moss before Niccolò Bulliga
55:35pulled back five points in race two.
55:39So there's plenty more still to come on Sunday
55:41here at the Pirelli Emilia Romagna round,
55:44and we know who the local fans are cheering for
55:48as Danilo Petrucci and Niccolò Bulliga
55:50stay back after the podium to salute the Italian fans.
55:54Big attendance as always here in Mazzano.
55:56Yeah, and for Mazzano, there's always a great atmosphere here
55:59inside the paddock, and you can see just the size of the crowd
56:03there for the podium, and all of the riders love the atmosphere here,
56:08and to be able to stand up there on the podium
56:10as an Italian rider for Bulliga and for Petrucci
56:13is always going to be pretty sweet,
56:14but for Bulliga, he knows he has to go one better tomorrow.
56:17And less than a day's worth of points between your top two.
56:20With just 26 separating them, and of course, theoretically,
56:24that swing could happen here tomorrow.
56:26So do not miss a moment in World SVK.
56:30This is going to be riveting, hopefully, right to the finish.
56:32Top rack Razgaflioglu wins race one in Mazzano.
56:35A second in the end, his margin over Niccolò Bulliga,
56:37but for the majority of that race, it was much closer than that.
56:40Completely separate fight from third place down, Petrucci holding off Alex Lowe's,
56:44certainly his best performance, and that of Bermota there with P4.
56:49Plenty of retirements and incidents.
56:51That actually continues the trend we've seen through free practice as well.
56:55A lot of spills and drama.
56:58Riders' Championship, 26 points between Bulliga and Razgaflioglu.
57:02Alex Lowe's his great points haul for fourth position,
57:05moving him up ahead of Ika Lekuona and Andrea Ionone in the Championship.
57:09That's good for Bermota.
57:10Alex Lowe's now eighth overall.
57:12Axel Bassani with his retirement loses ground.
57:15Scott Redding picking up the minor points,
57:17rounding out your top ten.
57:19Moves ahead of Remy Gardner after his retirement.
57:22Manufacturer's.
57:29Manufacturer's.
