00:00Out here, this is a real opportunity for Bo Ben Schneider, second in the World Championship, 40 points behind Stefano Manzi, but up on the front bar of the grid, while Manzi starts from Omi Roche.
00:09I spoke to one of the official Yamaha teams with the OR9 earlier in the week about the start times as well, and they've said that with the OR9 compared to the OR6, they are tenths of a second faster in their acceleration compared to what they were with the OR6.
00:23That's the difference for Manzi on the 62, Anshu on the 61. Anshu could be a contender on lap one. We know how aggressive he is into turn one in those early laps.
00:33Stefano Manzi is your championship leader, didn't make the podium last time out in Most, and now starts from row four here in Mizano.
00:40Bo Ben Schneider looking to recover a 40-point deficit. Tom Boothamos, 54, back from the series leader, having been tied with Stefano Manzi, leaving the Australian round back in February.
00:50Chan Anshu, best of the rest, cut his gap to 63 points as the top scorer last time out.
00:56Cassadet looked like he went into the wrong position on the grid there. You can see he's trying to make his way up, but using his own power to get there as well.
01:04So, 18 laps ahead of us. Cassadet is now into position. P2, his best Superpole yet in the class.
01:12Watch for the lights. Watch for Stefano Manzi, Kevin, from the fourth row of the grids.
01:18Race one of the Pirelli-Emilia-Romani round is underway, and it's a flying start from Chan Anshu.
01:23Schrotters away well also, up into third position. Sluggish start for the MV Augustus from the front row of the grid.
01:29It's Jawa Masia who leads, and Stefano Manzi already up into fourth position.
01:33Plenty of bunching coming through turn two as ever here at the Mizano World Circuit.
01:37Marco Simicelli, De Bees here, scrapping his way through. That's Carica Sulo. He's getting past now for sixth position.
01:44Behind him, Philippe Erthel's made good progress up into eighth. That's Bo Benchneider behind him, down in ninth position.
01:51So, once again, a poor opening lap for Bo Benchneider. He started third on the grid, and the man who's second in the World Championship standings
01:58has already lost the seven positions he had over Stefano Manzi, and it's Manzi up into fifth, Benchneider from third on the grid down to ninth.
02:06And defending from Luka Maas as well, but it's all gone to form. Anshu able to pick up a row of the grid,
02:12and for Manzi, he was able to go from tenth to fourth at one stage there before.
02:15Kind of getting duffed up a little bit, trying to come through a Marcel Schrotter.
02:18Tom Boothemus has done a good job off the line to be able to keep himself up there.
02:22Carica Sulo still in contention there, the number 64 Ducati as well.
02:25On to the longest straight then as they make their way through towards Kevone.
02:29Tom Boothemus making a pass on Marcel Schrotter through there, and it runs Schrotter off the circuit,
02:33and Stefano Manzi has the opportunity to make another pass, and that was a straightforward one for him.
02:39The gap created by Tom Boothemus coming through, and Manzi now launches his attack
02:43into the slowest corner on the circuit, Caro, on lap number one.
02:47And Manzi, from tenth on the grid, is up into the podium places already.
02:51Had to do it there as well, because you could see Anshu and Masia just breaking away a couple of bike lengths.
02:55Yeah, Masia and Anshu with daylight behind them now to Stefano Manzi.
03:00Tom Boothemus will hope to follow Manzi on towards the two-race leaders.
03:04The gap is six-tenths of a second behind Anshu to Manzi in third.
03:07Valentin de Bies just making his way through there on Marcel Schrotter.
03:11So after a good initial jump from Schrotter to get up into P3,
03:14he's now been pushed back to sixth position, de Bies into the top five.
03:19And the odd man out, as it were, is Bo Benchneider, still all the way down in ninth position.
03:23Just to say as well, you can see the red markings on those rear tyres.
03:25That's the X tyre.
03:27Everyone out there on the same combination, front and rear.
03:29So no advantages or disadvantages.
03:31Decent start to be touched on from Luca Myers to get through from 15th on the grid.
03:35He's up into P11, but hasn't made fast enough progress to really go with the lead group here.
03:40Schrotter dropping off from the lead quintet quite dramatically
03:44and into the path of the likes of Caracasulo, Ertel, Benchneider and Farioli,
03:48who round out the top ten.
03:50Half a second now, the gap between Manzi in third position and Anshu in second.
03:54So he has made a little bit of progress in the opening sector of Lacteur.
03:57You can see the wide line on the way in there for Manzi compared to Tom Booth-Amos on the triumph.
04:01Booth-Amos a lot tighter on the way into 9 and 10, but Manzi is able to accelerate out of that.
04:06But de Bies going with Booth-Amos and running well again inside the top five like we've seen all season.
04:11Yes, classic from Valentin.
04:13De Bies, a regular podium contender in the Supersport class.
04:16It's the 33-rolled Frenchman, it is Jaume Masia who leads the way with Chan Onshu all over the back of him.
04:22These two continuing their starring role from Moss last time out.
04:26Of course, raced for the race one victory with Jaume Masia coming out on top in a last lap sprint.
04:32And then it was Onshu leading Masia in race two when Masia came down and Onshu was able to roar away to the victory.
04:39But another head-to-head between the two of those.
04:42And the good news for Stefano Manzi is that he's got a significant points advantage over both of them.
04:46Yeah, definitely for Manzi, he's doing what he has to do, keeping himself in that third spot.
04:51Last time around, he picked up a tenth of a second and Masia lost a little bit of grain to Chan Onshu as the fastest rider on track.
04:57Kaito Tober crashing out from 23rd position.
05:00He has rejoined. Meanwhile, Philippe Ertel making his pass on Federico Caracasulo.
05:05Four at P7. Caracasulo diving back through.
05:09They're all bottled up now from seventh position down.
05:12And the gap's opened up to eight-tenths of a second.
05:15And then 1.4 to Valentin de Bees up ahead in P5.
05:19So this is very quickly turning into a five-rider battle up front.
05:22And then a totally separate train all the way down to the fringes of the points-paying positions.
05:27One long stream of riders here.
05:29Yeah, it looks like three riders at the front.
05:31And then for Booth, Amos and De Bees, they're able just to keep in touch.
05:34And that's what they need to do right now.
05:36Onshu, super speed last time around with the fastest lap of the race.
05:40A 1.37.593.
05:42So over a tenth of a second faster than Jarman.
05:45Masia, which is why he's now trying to line him up for a pass.
05:48Masia covers it off through Corvone.
05:50Now through these decreasing radius corners in towards the slowestop on the circuit.
05:54Turn 14.
05:55And Stefano Manzi has latched right back onto their tails.
05:59And Tom Booth, Amos has gone with him as well.
06:00Only four-tenths of a second.
06:02The gap to Booth, Amos.
06:03So less than a second covering your lead quartet.
06:06And Stefano Manzi has swallowed up three-tenths of a second on this lap number three.
06:10Yeah, Manzi's done that.
06:11Booth, Amos has kept station.
06:12De Bees has lost a little bit of ground.
06:14And on them to start lap four.
06:16It's Jarman Masia versus Chan Onshu and Stefano Manzi with the fastest lap of the race last time around.
06:231.37.544.
06:25Always an opportunity in towards turn two on the switchback.
06:28But Onshu was wise to it and holds back Stefano Manzi.
06:32Manzi then trying to claw his way onto the tail of Chan Onshu.
06:35Moves to the inside.
06:36Under heavy braking in towards turn four.
06:38And just as we saw on the opening lap, Manzi aggressive in making his way through.
06:41He is now the top Yamaha.
06:43And up into second place from tenths on the grid by lap number four.
06:46And he's good through six as well.
06:48We'll see if he's able to give himself that slipstream in the rundown towards turn eight.
06:51Because he might need that to defend from Onshu.
06:53In towards La Cuerche then for the fourth time.
06:56And Manzi does indeed move to the inside to defend against Chan Onshu for that second position.
07:01So it's Jarman Masia who's led thus far from the start.
07:04The two Yamahas on his tail.
07:07And Tom Booth, Amos making good progress again.
07:09He is just four-tenths of a second behind in four.
07:12Manzi took a more defensive line into turn nine there.
07:14A little bit tighter.
07:16Is that going to cost him a little bit of momentum down in towards Caramone?
07:19Penalty given to Leonardo Tuccini.
07:21He's dropped the two places he was required to by race direction.
07:24That drops him down into fifteenth for a single point.
07:27Just looking at the group further back.
07:29Bo Benchneider still in ninth position.
07:30But starting to find some pace now.
07:32And attacking Federico Cagasulo for eighth position.
07:35Manzi a lot faster in the right-hander is there than Masia is.
07:38We'll see the difference now between the Ducati and the Yamaha.
07:41But Manzi, we saw last time around, new fastest lap of the race.
07:44Half a second faster than the race leader, Masia.
07:47And you can see visibly he's a lot quicker in each place.
07:50He gets on the gas a little bit earlier than Masia.
07:52He's able to brake a little bit more comfortably and confidently.
07:54Stefano Manzi from tenth to second and shortly challenging for the race lead.
07:59Meanwhile, from the front row of the grid down to ninth initially, Bo Benchneider.
08:03I saw him in the background of the shot through turn 14 being picked off rather aggressively
08:07by Filippo Farioli, his teammate.
08:10So that drops Benchneider a place just when he was starting to make some ground and attack.
08:14Federico Cagasulo for eighth position.
08:16We're watching the leaders.
08:17They're covered by just eight-tenths of a second at the start of lap five.
08:20Booth-Amos able to take advantage of the bit of scrapping in front as well.
08:23He pulled back three-tenths of a second on Onchu to bring himself that little bit closer.
08:27Only seven-tenths of a second between the top four.
08:29And Valentin de Bees as well.
08:31Look right back with them.
08:32Three-tenths of a second behind Tom Booth-Amos.
08:35Was able to drop into the one-minute thirty-sevens last time around.
08:39Whereas Masia and Onchu were both into the one-minute thirty-eight.
08:42Stabilizing his pace this time around.
08:44Jaume Masia still leads Stefano Manzi.
08:46Chan Onchu in third.
08:48Tom Booth-Amos and Valentin de Bees.
08:50He's the lead quintet, all covered by 1.1 seconds.
08:53Then eight-tenths back to Marcel Schrotter, who's still got them in his sights.
08:56That's half a second behind him to Philippe Ertel.
08:59Then it's Filippo Farioli.
09:01So he's got through on Federico Caracassolo at last.
09:03There's a big gap now to Philippe Ertel in seventh place.
09:06You can see through that last of the right-handers there that for Manzi through turn 12 and into 13, that's where he's able to have a lot more confidence in his bike than what Masia has.
09:15Masia looks like he almost has to shut off a little bit more than Manzi.
09:19Costumes have a tiny bit of momentum.
09:21But that could be what opens the door into turn 14 for Manzi on the number 62 machine.
09:25And they might need to get a move on here because Tom Booth-Amos is closing them down again on lap number five.
09:30He's halved the deficit that was only four-tenths of a second anyway.
09:33It's just two-tenths as they come onto the start-finish trade and just over a second covering those five riders.
09:38But it's Booth-Amos on a chart as Manzi launches down the inside into turn two.
09:43I said a couple of laps ago, it is possible here in Misano, but he's found himself on the outside and Masia is going to try and run Manzi out of the way.
09:51Does it open the door to Chan Onshu?
09:52It does.
09:53They go three abreast and they just about managed to tiptoe their way through.
09:57And that opens the door to Tom Booth-Amos.
09:59It drops Masia down to fifth position.
10:01So Valentin de Beezes through as well.
10:03Your new order on lap number six.
10:05Remember, we're not even a third of the way through this race yet.
10:07And it's been bar-banging stuff right from the word go.
10:10So Anshu leads Manzi, leads Booth-Amos, leads the recovering Jaume Masia.
10:14He's now through on Valentin de Beezes as they come through Quetcher on lap number six.
10:18Yeah, Masia was leading 400 metres earlier and suddenly dropped himself down to fifth, but he's recovering now.
10:23Behind that as well, Schrader and Philippe-Arthel, they're just keeping consistent pace, which is bringing them back into it as well.
10:29Yeah, because this fight ahead of them, they're costing one another time, particularly through the opening sector here of lap number six.
10:34This is great though, because you can go side by side, but keep an eye on Anshu.
10:37You knew he was going to come down into turn four when he saw this.
10:40He was probably just thinking about, I can make a move on Manzi.
10:43But because Masia had ran himself a little bit on the outside, it opened the door for Anshu.
10:48And Chan doesn't need a second invitation.
10:50Yeah, no doubt about it. Masia was doing the right thing, trying to answer straight back against Stefano Manzi.
10:54But three wide didn't really go and ultimately he had to seat position there.
10:58Yeah, and he was the big loser in it, but he's still in the group.
11:01Tom Boutheimos, luckily he might have been able to come through to take the lead at one stage in that.
11:05So TBA, by just keeping himself in the right place in the group, has been able to pick up a spot without having to do an awful lot of work.
11:12Now we reach a one-third distance.
11:14Chan Anshu, Stefano Manzi, Tom Boutheimos, Jaume Masia and Valentin de Bees all covered by six tenths of a second over the line into lap seven.
11:21Boutheimos went a little bit deep into turn one and you can see the impact it has.
11:25It puts you in the wrong position for the next few corners.
11:27But at the front, it looked like Manzi was a little bit close to Chan Anshu.
11:30I thought he might have been close enough to try something into turn four.
11:33Anshu, though, able to defend that position.
11:35Trotter and Urkel now right with them as well.
11:38So this is going to be one long train right the way back down to seventh position.
11:42Then a little bit of a gap behind Philippe Urkel to Luca Maes who's got himself to the front of the group.
11:47Stefano Manzi threw him on the inside of Chan Anshu.
11:51And that will give him the race lead.
11:53Jaume Masia just coming through on Tom Boutheimos.
11:56I'd seen a flag in the background there as they came through.
11:58For Farioli's crash, he's gone down.
12:01And then for Rafa de Rosa also, there's a flag out for him to retire with a tactical issue.
12:06Yes, I just wondered there because I'd seen something at the Marshall post just as Manzi was making his move.
12:10Another moment for Tom Boutheimos there as he picked up the bike coming on out of Tremonto.
12:14The most important corner of the track is it sets all your speed down in towards Corvone.
12:18They lost himself a couple of bike lengths there again to the three race leaders.
12:23Manzi, Anshu, Masia, your three leaders.
12:26So this is going to be another spill further back from outside of the points for de Rosa as we pick up the race leader.
12:32Six off them, nothing to choose between them.
12:34Schrott has tagged on to the back of this group now.
12:37And Philippe Ertel with an opportunity after his best result of the season last time out in Marst.
12:42He will see this scrapping up at the head of the field as a chance to bring himself back into the mix and challenge for another part.
12:48Supersport just keeps delivering these kind of races.
12:50Over the course of the last few years with next-gen rules, they've been able to bring the field really close together.
12:55Now with the Yamaha R9 as the latest next-gen bike out there, we've got so much variety at the front of the field.
13:02Everyone makes their performances in slightly different ways, but we all end up in pretty much the same times.
13:07And fastest man on the track on lap seven was Luca Maas, who is leading the next train from eighth position down.
13:12Maas, Caracasulo, Ben Schneider, Alcoba and Perillari down to twelfth position.
13:17And that's not a bad group of five riders as well, so we've got two very distinct groups.
13:22And you can see Ronald back in the pit box with Mr. Pata.
13:27And for them, they're able to see their rider leading the way, but Masi is coming back at them.
13:32Yes, Masi are trying to recover after those earlier lost places just to head up the group.
13:39He's quite comfortable doing so, but equally, he was able to lead just one lap last time out in Mostad.
13:44And it was the most important one for his first victory in the class.
13:47He's looking to add another here.
13:49It's Stefano Manzi who leads the way.
13:50Masi are almost alongside him already.
13:53They'll head towards Carvone.
13:54Onchu behind.
13:55We've seen him make a pass already through there, and he's done another on lap number eight.
13:59So big and bold stuff from Chan Onchu as ever.
14:01Tom Buscemos trying to thread his way through now.
14:04They come gradually down through the gears and in towards turn 14.
14:09And a big old lunge that from Valentin to Beast from way back against Tom Buscemos.
14:13So Buscemos down to Bid, then it's Schrotter.
14:16And Philippe Hurtle now is right with them.
14:18Just two tenths of a second, his gap to Schrotter ahead.
14:20Luca Maas is doing it larger at the back of this group as well.
14:22He's pulled back four tenths on this lap.
14:24Yes, he had done on the previous lap as well.
14:26So two laps in a row there.
14:27Luca Maas is making big progress.
14:29That gap was over two seconds.
14:31It's a lot less than that now.
14:32In fact, it's just nine tenths of a second now at the start of lap number nine.
14:35Critically, though, Ben Schneider hasn't gone with Cara Cusulo and Maas.
14:38Yes, he's down there in 11th spot, the man's second in the World Championship.
14:42Just hemorrhaging points again to Manzi because he can't get the job done on the first half of the race.
14:48Yes, there is Luca Maas just in the background.
14:50You'll always catch sight of him, that bright pink helmet,
14:53as Buscemos runs a little wide through the sequence of right-handers
14:57and opens the door to Marcel Schrotter.
14:59And Schrotter now up into fifth position.
15:02Had his best weekend of the season last time out in Mots with a 26-point score for two fourth places.
15:08And looming on the tail now of Valentin de Bies to challenge for another fourth position.
15:13Manzi, Onchu, Maciay, your provisional podium trio.
15:15Then it's Valentin de Bies.
15:16Bit of a gap opening up behind him after Tom Buscemos' error
15:20and Marcel Schrotter coming through.
15:22So Schrotter's going to get quickly onto the tail of de Bies here.
15:25He'll bring Buscemos and Ertel with him.
15:28And just to watch on Luca Maas, only seven-tenths of a second now.
15:31So another two-tenths made up on this lap nine thus far.
15:34Yeah, Luca's riding really well this year.
15:36And it's nice to see he's been able to dig into this one
15:38and give himself a chance to get himself back onto the lead of this group.
15:41As Maciay gets close now to Onchu.
15:44Is he going to be close enough into 14?
15:46Almost, but Onchu just slides his way in under-breaking
15:50to close that door quite literally to Jaume Maciay.
15:53Then it's de Bies, and as I said, a gap to Marcel Schrotter.
15:57It's still hovering around three-four-tenths of a second behind that lead quartet.
16:01Yeah, it's interesting that we've got two Yamaha riders at the front,
16:03both of them being linked with superbikes, which is massive.
16:05There's a bit of whispers there as well.
16:07Shows that the strength and depth in the Supersport class this year.
16:11Yeah, new personal best lap last time around from Federico Caracasulo.
16:14He's going with Luca Maas as they close down the lead group of seven riders.
16:19Bo Benchneider down in 11th position.
16:21Stefano Manzi is your race leader.
16:23If things were to stay as they are at present,
16:25Manzi would open his championship lead to 60 points,
16:28and Chan Onchu would move ahead of Tom Boutemos.
16:30He sits second at present, Boutemos in six.
16:32At the back of the group, Caracasulo, another personal best.
16:35Last time around, he keeps doing those 138 zeros.
16:38He's got good, consistent pace.
16:39Just clawing back those few tenths of a second a lap.
16:41Onchu on the attack here.
16:42Lap number 10 of 18 in towards the Quercia hairpin,
16:46but he's under siege as well from Jaume Masiya,
16:49who comes through and into second place.
16:51So Manzi still leads, but Jaume Masiya is through on Chan Onchu.
16:55Aldi Mahendra remounting after a spill for him at turn four.
16:59It has been a tough weekend for Aldi Mahendra thus far.
17:02He will rejoin the fray, but right towards the back of the field.
17:06Manzi, Masiya, Onchu.
17:07De Bees then watching on as the almighty scrap continues up ahead of him.
17:12Masiya's got good speed.
17:14Onchu, we know, has been unafraid to make his passes through Carvone.
17:18Turn 11, the fastest corner on the circuit.
17:22And still, the status quo is maintained,
17:24but Onchu is muscling around looking for a way through.
17:27Yeah, we're at half-race distance now as well.
17:29This is when, even in the Supersport class,
17:31you have to start thinking about that tyre management
17:32just because of how hot it is here.
17:3445 degrees track temperature.
17:36And the pace has been hot.
17:38Everyone's been stuck in a group with each other.
17:40No one's really had that clear track in front of them
17:42to be able to have a little bit of cool air.
17:44It's going to be tough out there for all the riders.
17:46Good final sector there from Stefano Manzi
17:48just to keep himself a couple of tenths of a second clear
17:51of Jaume Masiya across the line to start lap 11.
17:54And it's Onchu, De Bees, Schrotter, Boutemos,
17:57and Philippe Ertl right there with them in seventh place.
18:00The gap to Luca Maia is only half a second.
18:03He's within two of the race lead now.
18:04Ben Schneider's just set his personal best lap of the race.
18:07He's obviously all the way down in 11th spot,
18:09but he hasn't set a time that's good enough
18:11for one of the top nine positions in this race
18:13for the fastest.
18:14That's your grid position for race two.
18:16So Ben Schneider, he really needs to dig in,
18:19otherwise he's starting from the fourth row of the grid.
18:20Look how far back down the field Cassadet has fallen
18:24after starting up on the front row of the grid.
18:26We did see him have that problem to the grid,
18:28and obviously then you're flustered when you're making the start
18:31and you're then put on the back foot.
18:33So we'll have to wait and see what the issue was for him,
18:35but Cassadet, unfortunately, just dropping down the order.
18:38Yes, the MV Augustas, though, I think is the point
18:40I was trying to make, not having the afternoon
18:42that they would have hoped for,
18:44particularly after yesterday afternoon's great performances
18:47with three of them on the front three rows of the grid.
18:49Obviously, Farioli retiring,
18:51and the other two dropping right the way through the field.
18:54Lap 11, Manzi, Maciard, Onchu, no change at the front.
18:58The three fastest men for the most recent rounds, frankly,
19:01are digging in here in the podium places,
19:04but Valentin De Bees doing really well to stick with.
19:06Yeah, De Bees, as always, just finds a way
19:09to give himself that chance.
19:10Trotter just defending that position
19:13from Booth Amos now as well,
19:14but you've now got that chance
19:16where it's probably going to break up
19:17into two different groups.
19:18So for this second group,
19:19you're trying to fight for that top five spot.
19:21Well, it does mean that Booth Amos desperately needs
19:23to get through on Schrotter
19:24and try and chase down the podium positions.
19:26We've seen Booth Amos in the past,
19:27strong in the closing stages.
19:28Booth Amos under heavy braking,
19:29in towards turn number one.
19:31Gets to the inside of Marcel Schrotter,
19:34but did he get through for that fifth position?
19:36Well, it looks like he did briefly.
19:38Schrotter's recovered it.
19:39Urkel's come past.
19:40Mayas now will be able to challenge for a place
19:43in the top seven for the first time in this race.
19:46Booth Amos closes him down,
19:47tries to go all the way around the outside of Urkel, though,
19:50and consecutive right hand as Booth Amos
19:52under pressure from Luka Mayas.
19:53Mayas couldn't quite get the job done,
19:55so plenty of change in that group from fifth place back.
19:57It's Schrotter ahead of Urkel.
19:59Booth Amos now down to seventh,
20:01and his hopes of a podium are swiftly escaping away
20:04because the gap behind Valentin de Bies
20:06to Marcel Schrotter in fifth is now 1.3 seconds.
20:09Yeah, and that's the thing.
20:10We now have that top four.
20:11They've broken away.
20:12This is where the podium's going to be at,
20:14and obviously we're just coming up
20:15towards two-thirds race distance as well,
20:17but for all the riders now,
20:18they know it comes down to what you can do
20:20in these closing stages.
20:22Booth Amos in the background,
20:23recovered there against Philippe Urkel.
20:25He's through for sixth position once again
20:27as we come onto the straight and in towards Carvone.
20:30Marcel Schrotter having to go defensive there
20:32against Booth Amos behind him.
20:34This is your lead quartet.
20:35Still no change there.
20:36Manzi, Masia, Onchu and de Bies,
20:38but you know this is going to kick off
20:40in the closing stages.
20:41As the tyres have started to drop,
20:42Masia looks a lot more comfortable
20:44through those fast right-handers
20:46compared to the Yamahas,
20:47but it's obviously one of those situations
20:49where it's easier to follow
20:51and you just take your lead off Stefano Manzi,
20:54but six laps to go when they come across the line.
20:57He'll certainly feel that he's well-placed, Masia.
20:59Marcel Schrotter's mid-race sprint is over.
21:01He struggled in the early stages of this race,
21:03and bottled up the pack behind him,
21:05dropping through the field.
21:06Made good progress,
21:08but now the pace has drifted away from him again
21:10as Onchu attacks on Masia.
21:12This is for second position on lap number 13,
21:14and Onchu has got the job done,
21:16but they have compromised one another
21:18through the opening sector,
21:19and Stefano Manzi has been able to gain a couple of tenths.
21:22Now Masia is going to lose out to Valentin de Bies as well
21:25from second down to fourth on lap 13.
21:27And de Bies has kept his powder dry for much of this race.
21:30Well, he hasn't really made any blurry moves
21:32to try and get himself into the lead of this group,
21:35so we'll see what de Bies can do in the 53 now,
21:37but Masia, as I said last time around,
21:40looked pretty comfortable out there.
21:41It's just that thing of you lose that track position,
21:43it's going to take you a couple of laps to get it back.
21:45Butemov still sixth,
21:46Luca Maas back down into eighth position,
21:50Federico Caracasulo right with them,
21:51and Jeremy Alcoba into tenth is only half a second
21:54behind Caracasulo as well.
21:56Boben Schneider leads the next train of riders
21:59from eleventh place down,
22:00the likes of Tuccini behind him in twelfth position.
22:03As we watch Valentin de Bies and Jaume Masia
22:05for third position, again through Carbone.
22:08Chan Onchu is close there to making a move
22:10every lap on the rider in front of him.
22:12De Bies a little bit out of shape
22:13across the kerb on the exit and through turn 12,
22:16but Masia not quite close enough.
22:18In towards turn 14 then on lap 13,
22:21and no change of position.
22:23Manzi and Onchu breaking four tenths away
22:24from Valentin de Bies.
22:26He ran up all over the kerb there
22:27on the exit of turn 11.
22:29Yeah, it just says, well, that's the race.
22:31It's still Manzi, Onchu, Masia
22:32that will be our front row.
22:34Tom Boothame is going to burden
22:35the Valentin de Bies on that second row of the grid.
22:37And de Bies making back ground quite quickly
22:39through the final sector of that lap number 13.
22:43In fact, it was a new personal best final sector
22:44from de Bies, an important one,
22:46because as I said, he just made a mistake
22:48and cost himself some time.
22:49Now there's only seven tenths
22:50between your lead quartet once again,
22:53with the gap 1.3 seconds
22:54to Marcel Schrotter and Tom Booth Amos behind.
22:57So it's a four-rider scrap by the looks of things
22:59for the podium places and the race victory.
23:01But at this stage of the race now,
23:03you'd have to say Chan Onchu is in the box seats
23:05in second place.
23:06I think you'd do well to put your money on the table
23:08to be able to see who's going to win this one.
23:10But Onchu, we know that with the bit between his teeth
23:12and the chance to win races,
23:13he's going to try and come through.
23:15And you can see he uses the slipstream down
23:17in towards turn eight,
23:18and he's able to get himself into the race lead.
23:20Let's see what happens on the exit from turn 10, though.
23:22We obviously saw the last few laps,
23:24Onchu very strong in the run-up towards turn 11
23:26at Corvone.
23:28Let's see if that's still the case
23:29whenever he's the one leading
23:29and having to break that air.
23:31Well, it was great work from Onchu
23:33to get to the front after a new personal best
23:35at first sector.
23:36He made his move at turn eight,
23:37but it wasn't long
23:38until immediately within the next two corners
23:41Stefano Manzi was back through.
23:43Onchu's been so good, though, through turn 11.
23:46Here he is to the inside of Manzi
23:47to recover the place.
23:48We know Manzi's going to try and attack back
23:50into turn 14 if he is close enough.
23:52He does that to the inside,
23:54but Onchu looks to have it covered.
23:56So it's Jan Onchu leading on lap number 14,
23:58but he's had to make two passes
23:59on Stefano Manzi to hit the front.
24:01You can hear how much rear brake they're using there
24:04just to get the bike stopped,
24:05standing everything on it.
24:06And Onchu able to come through.
24:08So it's definitely Pachano Onchu
24:10in one of these situations
24:12where he knows he's got a chance to win this race.
24:14I think all four riders on the field
24:15have got more pace than the riders around them,
24:17but pace doesn't matter.
24:18Track position is the only thing that's key.
24:19DeViz with a good run off the final turn there,
24:21but nowhere to use it.
24:23It's not a long start-finish straight here in Mizano,
24:26just 510 metres.
24:28Onchu Manzi, DeViz and Masiak
24:30coming into lap 15.
24:31The Yamaha is so much better
24:32on that opening of the gas between one and two.
24:34Just that short spurt that they're able to take,
24:38and that's what sets up moves like this into turn four.
24:40Manzi under heavy braking is the specialist,
24:43and he is through on Chan Onchu into turn four.
24:45Now they switch back for turn six.
24:48The speed begins to build in towards La Cuerche,
24:50the next overtaking opportunity for Onchu to try and hit back.
24:54He is ducking into the slipstream,
24:55and out of it now to pass Stefano Manzi again.
24:58Manzi tries to hang on in there around the outside.
25:00Valentin DeViz doing the same against Jaume and Masiak,
25:03but Masiak through for third,
25:05and it's still side by side as they come off Cuerche.
25:08Through turn nine, turns nine and ten now.
25:10Masiak to the inside of Onchu.
25:12The door isn't wide enough,
25:13and it's Stefano Manzi who leads the way,
25:15but Onchu might well hit back now through Corvone.
25:18We've seen him lap after lap looking strong through there.
25:21So Manzi holds track position for the moment.
25:24Onchu isn't quite close enough,
25:25but it's good enough to hold on from Masiak,
25:27and DeViz briefly got into third,
25:29but he's now back outside of the podium places.
25:31Let's see if Masiak is able to hold that tighter line
25:33through the next to the right-handers,
25:34turn 13 to set something up into 14.
25:37Not quite able to,
25:38but again, we've got that leading group four
25:40all heading closer and closer.
25:42As we saw last lap,
25:43Tom Routemont through on Marcel Schroeser
25:45for fifth position.
25:46Damage limitation exercise for him,
25:47but that is about the limit.
25:49We've got four riders here up at the head of the field,
25:51all contesting the podium places,
25:53and potentially all having an option for the race win as well.
25:58Into lap 16, Stefano Manzi on the 62,
26:01ahead of the 61 of Chan Onchu
26:03and the 51 of Jaume Masiak.
26:05And they were covered by less than half a second,
26:08this lead quartet,
26:09with three laps to go.
26:11This is boiling up nicely.
26:12Yeah, it really is.
26:12And all of these riders seem to have their bikes
26:15working in slightly different areas.
26:16Manzi is very strong in sector one.
26:17Obviously, we saw for Onchu,
26:18the run-up towards Corvone.
26:20He's good.
26:20Masi has seen she has put his bike
26:22into the right places in that final sector,
26:24but hasn't been close enough
26:25to try and make a move.
26:26And then for Valentin de Bees,
26:28we've just seen a rider
26:29that's been able to be very opportunistic,
26:30just picks off the riders
26:31when opportunities present themselves.
26:33Jeremy Alcoba with a new personal best last lap around.
26:36He's in ninth position
26:37and right with Mayas, Ertel, Schrotter,
26:39and then Broutenos at the front of that group
26:41in fifth place.
26:42Alcoba, though, the unlucky rider,
26:4310th fastest lap of the race.
26:44He only needs to find a few hundredths of a second
26:46to move up ahead of Farioli
26:48and gives off that third row of the grid start.
26:50Originally qualified P13, remember,
26:52so the progress will be valuable for him.
26:54Slowing the way in there for Manzi,
26:56and we'll see if that gives Onchu the chance.
26:58Probably a little bit too far back for Corvone,
27:00but he'll have a run through the right-handers.
27:02Well, Onchu's going to give it a go anyway
27:04through turn 11.
27:05It puts him offline.
27:06It puts him off the track, in fact,
27:07and Manzi comes through,
27:08and Masiya also has the pace advantage
27:10and the momentum,
27:12but he's not going to have anywhere to use it
27:13by the looks of things
27:14because Onchu will cover him off
27:16through Caro on lap 16.
27:18Two more laps to go,
27:19but no shortage of overtaking opportunities
27:21here in Mizano in Supersport.
27:22And you can see there
27:23the difference of one bike length.
27:25You're that tiny bit further back,
27:27so you can't quite get the bike
27:28into the right place through turn 11.
27:30That's why you run wide,
27:31but Onchu doesn't cost himself a place.
27:34Manzi, Onchu, Masiya, De Bees is your order,
27:37and you can see how quickly they flash by
27:39with two laps to go.
27:40This is your penultimate lap.
27:42Tom Booth-Amos starting to make some ground.
27:43Three-tenths last time around.
27:45It might just be a little bit too little
27:47and too late for him,
27:48but he's keeping up the pressure
27:49in case it all goes wrong
27:50up at the head of the field.
27:51Plenty of action further back
27:52as Jeremy Alcova gets through on Philippe Ertel.
27:55That's for seventh position.
27:56Maia, Sankara Kassulo right in behind there,
27:59rounding out your top ten as well.
28:01It's Stefano Manzi who leads the way
28:03with two laps to go.
28:04Farioli's just come out of the pits.
28:05He's had his fastest lap of the race.
28:07He's provisionally on the front row
28:08with a grid.
28:08He's obviously gone in,
28:09put on a new set of tyres,
28:11did what he had to do
28:12to give himself a chance
28:13of still salvaging something tomorrow.
28:15Manzi with Onchu all over the back of him.
28:17Onchu really struggling to get it stopped
28:19this time around into Quercia.
28:21Will it be Manzi now who can bolt away?
28:23He's got the faster exit from turn eight
28:25and just try and keep himself far enough
28:27out of the reach of Chan Onchu
28:29through his strongest area of the circuit,
28:31in turn 11.
28:32For the moment, Onchu is right with him.
28:34Manzi's struggling to get that bike stopped
28:35into nine and ten
28:37and it just leaves Onchu close enough
28:39to be able to attack
28:40a little bit more comfortably this lap.
28:42And Chan Onchu does come through
28:43on the penultimate lap
28:44against Stefano Manzi
28:45who will try to answer straight back
28:46and does so.
28:48Through turn 12,
28:49the first of the five consecutive right-handers
28:51in towards turn 14 then.
28:53Manzi does get it stopped this time.
28:55Masiya almost alongside Chan Onchu.
28:58They're bottled up through the slowest corner
29:00on the circuit.
29:01And this has enabled Stefano Manzi
29:02to break slightly away through the final sector
29:04of lap number 17.
29:05And Stefano Manzi has a bit of daylight behind him
29:08with just over four kilometres to go.
29:10Yeah, let's see if Masiya's close enough
29:12to try and attack into turn one.
29:13The two main rivals from Most
29:16last time out four weeks ago.
29:18Chan Onchu and Jaume Masiya,
29:20your two race winners at the check round,
29:21dicing it out now for second position.
29:23And this is the ideal scenario
29:25for Stefano Manzi, your race leader.
29:27Didn't cost Masiya time as well,
29:28making the move into one.
29:29He was through nice and early,
29:30so he hasn't actually lost anything to Manzi.
29:32But Manzi's obviously got those few tenths of a second
29:34in hand right now.
29:35Stefano Manzi now half a second is that gap
29:38with Jaume Masiya and Chan Onchu
29:40fighting it out for second position.
29:42Manzi should be away and gone for the victory here.
29:44This is a fight for second and third places
29:46with an outside shot to the podium
29:47for Valentin De Bees from fourth
29:49as they head towards La Cuerche.
29:51One last time through here.
29:52De Bees not close enough on Onchu.
29:54Yeah, turn 11 is obviously the key for Onchu.
29:56And then that means,
29:57will Masiya try and attack back to him?
29:59And will that open a door for Valentin De Bees
30:01to try and attack as well?
30:02Race for second and third is going right to the flag
30:04by the looks of it.
30:05De Bees is trying everything.
30:07The tighter line through 9 and 10.
30:09It's not a conventional overtaking opportunity
30:11through there and Onchu had it covered anyway.
30:13So it's the 51 of Masiya,
30:15the 61 of Onchu and the 53 of De Bees
30:17all line astern as they come through
30:19towards Cervone.
30:20And Masiya actually moved to the inside briefly
30:22just to block the run of Chan Onchu.
30:24He knows where it's coming.
30:25Masiya and Onchu both gaining ground
30:27on Stefano Manzi,
30:28but it's going to be too little and too late.
30:30It's a fight for second and third places.
30:32Onchu gets in hot,
30:33but De Bees was already almost alongside him.
30:35De Bees now with the comeback
30:37as Onchu was almost off the side of the bike altogether.
30:40The inside line left open to Valentin De Bees,
30:42who comes through.
30:43Onchu immediately responds.
30:45Final turn now,
30:46and that should be good enough for Chan Onchu.
30:48Tom Booth Amos closing,
30:49but not quickly enough.
30:50Stefano Manzi takes his fourth victory
30:53of the 2025 campaign.
30:55Wins in Mizano from 10th on the grid.
30:57A superb display from the fourth row from Manzi.
31:01Masiya for second.
31:02It all goes wrong on the final lap for Chan Onchu,
31:04but he hangs on in there for third.
31:06Valentin De Bees with fourth position.
31:08The nearly man once again in Supersport.
31:10And Tom Booth Amos leads that second group
31:13from fifth place down.
31:14And once he wrestled clear of the likes of Marcel Schrotter,
31:17he was able to maintain consistent pace in the closing stages.
31:20Finishes just 1.8 seconds away from race winner Stefano Manzi in the end.
31:25So there's more to come, you feel, from Tom Booth Amos.
31:28Quick word on the other championship hopeful.
31:30He certainly was going into that race,
31:32but Ben Schneider comes home in 13th position.
31:34You'd have to say his hopes are fading fast in 2025.
31:37The momentum's gone from Ben Schneider.
31:39He's obviously had a really strong start to the season
31:41in the first couple of rounds.
31:42But right now, you have to think that Booth Amos, Onchu, Masiya,
31:46they've all got more performance than him right now.
31:49What was interesting was, on that last couple of laps,
31:52we saw Farioli actually set the fastest lap of the race.
31:54He'll start from pole for race two.
31:56So good strategy by him and the MB Augusta team
31:59to make sure that he goes out with that fresh tyre.
32:01His weekend can be salvaged tomorrow.
32:03He's going to start from pole ahead of Manzi, Onchu,
32:05and then the second will be Masiya.
32:06Tom Booth Amos and Philip Urkel.
32:08De Bees, Maas, and Marcel Schrotter will be that third row.
32:10That's going to mean that onto that fourth row with the grade,
32:13it's going to be headed off by Cassidy in 10th position,
32:17and then 11th on the grade for the man second
32:20in the World Championship, Bo Benchnyder.
32:22It does emphasise the struggle that there was
32:24for the MV Augusta riders in Rex 1 this afternoon.
32:26Yeah, and it's one of those situations
32:28that they need to find a way around it,
32:30because for Benchnyder, his chances of winning
32:32the World Championship, you have to say,
32:34are incredibly slim now,
32:36because over the course of the last few rounds,
32:39we just haven't seen enough from him
32:40or the MV Augusta team.
32:41It's too reminiscent of what we saw in previous seasons
32:44for the likes of Baggins of Foglu and Marcel Schrotter.
32:47And unfortunately, Benchnyder looks like another rider
32:50that's going to fall into that as well.
32:51The reality is that after that race,
32:53the chances of anyone other than Stefano Manzi
32:55taking this title are looking more and more remote.
32:58His gap is to Bo Benchnyder, who we've just seen,
33:01hasn't got the pace at this stage of the season of 62 points.
33:05It's 68 to Tom Booth-Amos.
33:07Booth-Amos hasn't been able to live for a few rounds now
33:09with Stefano Manzi.
33:11Your championship challenge is coming from Onshu,
33:1372 points back, and Masia, 84 points back.
33:16Yeah, Booth-Amos has done a really good job,
33:18especially when you compare it to what the expectation
33:20was coming into the season for him and PTR training team.
33:23He's hanging on in there, third in the championship,
33:25top five in this race.
33:27If he keeps doing that, it's really good performances by him.
33:30It's just where you keep losing those extra couple of points
33:33each day to Manzi.
33:34Yeah, reality is that at the moment,
33:36Onshu and Masia are both faster than Booth-Amos
33:38and Bo Benchnyder ahead of them in the championship,
33:40and that's what's creating an ever-increasing lead
33:43for Stefano Manzi.
33:44He came into that race 140 points ahead.
33:46He's now 62 points ahead with just the three points
33:49for Bo Benchnyder down in 13th place.
33:52So disappointment as far as he is concerned.
33:55Great result for Jaume Masia.
33:57It's not the victory today,
33:58but starting to turn himself into a consistent podium runner.
34:02That is his third podium in the last four races
34:04for Jaume Masia.
34:06Yeah, and you have to think that you like what you see
34:08from him on the Supersport bike.
34:09And I think that for Ducati,
34:11we've been able to see that he's got that consistency as well.
34:14Obviously, Philip Urtel on the field racing bike,
34:16you would have expected that he was going to be that rider
34:18that would be that lead Ducati rider.
34:20But Masia has been able to step up to the plate.
34:24A little bit too premature to be talking
34:26about a super bike ride next season.
34:28I know there have been rumors in the paddock this weekend
34:30about a possible option there.
34:32For me, yeah, it is.
34:33I think that Masia has been really impressive,
34:35but another year in Supersport would probably serve him well.
34:37We saw Boudicca do two years and then move up to the super bike class.
34:40And I think that Masia could probably do it the same,
34:42just because last year especially was so difficult
34:44for him in the Moto2 World Championship,
34:46getting the extra years experience in these intermediate bikes
34:49and then moving on to the super bike will serve him well.
34:51But he shows that he warrants being part of that discussion.
34:54Yeah, absolutely.
34:55Another podium finish for him here today.
34:58Chan Onshu ultimately beaten up in third position,
35:01but it was another race where he looked to have the pace
35:03to at least match Stefano Manzi.
35:04And there was a stage there in the final third
35:08where I thought that actually Onshu looked the more aggressive
35:10and Manzi was the one who was struggling to stop more of the two.
35:13And at that stage, I thought it was Onshu's race to win.
35:16Yeah, and I think Onshu would have thought that as well.
35:18But ultimately, when you're up against Manzi,
35:21it's always tough to beat him because he's such an animal out there.
35:24And Onshu comes away with another podium,
35:27another really strong performance as well.
35:29And Chan could very easily take the race win tomorrow.
35:33I thought it was interesting to see just how fast he was
35:35from turn 10 up towards turn 11.
35:37That's where his bike's working well,
35:39even against Manzi, who's got the same package underneath him.
35:42Much rumoured that Manzi will get his opportunity
35:44on a super bike next season,
35:45not least because he did successfully
35:47in the recent Mizano test on the R1.
35:51And I think the biggest headache is almost for Tenkate
35:55as to how they fill that void because Manzi's done three great years for them.
35:59And now that he's got the package to really challenge at the front,
36:01he's well on course towards the world title.
36:03Yeah, Manzi has to be on a super bike next year.
36:05Otherwise, it really would be tough for him
36:07because he's shown himself to be the class act in the supersport field.
36:10And you throw him onto the GRT bike and he's going to do a really good job.
36:14Maybe he trades places with Domi Aguilar.
36:16I don't know if Tenkate want to have Domi back
36:19or they want to have a young rider that they're able to help mould.
36:22Obviously, in Moto2, there's always riders that are looking to come to supersport.
36:26Maybe they find the next Manzi doing it that path as well.
36:29Obviously, Manzi coming from the Grand Prix paddock originally.
36:31Well, they have two bikes, so there are options there and we'll wait to see.
36:35There's a long discussion about super bike rides
36:39before we can start to work out exactly what the supersport grid
36:41is going to look like next season.
36:43But in the meanwhile, 20-25 campaign, Stefano Manzi very much the man to beat.
36:48And the rest of the group now covered by 30 points in the standings.
36:52Ben Schneider, Boutemos, Anju, Massia and also Luca Maia,
36:55who managed to salvage something from that race with eighth position,
36:58considering he started originally from 15th on the grid.
37:01Karantan Perolari, again, the only supersport challenge rider to score,
37:04but it's 14th position from him.
37:06And in the end, as you said at the top of the show,
37:09a bit of a disappointing start to the weekend for him,
37:11given the sixth and eighth places that he managed in Most last time out.
37:16Race one results, Stefano Manzi victorious by half a second over Jammer Massia.
37:20Anju in the end, another second back behind Massia.
37:23It really did all kick off on the final lap,
37:25but Manzi had put in the key penultimate lap to open the gap and manage it from there.
37:30Valentin de Bies missing out on the podium by less than a tenth of a second.
37:34And Valentin de Bies, who had a fifth place as a best finish in Most last time out,
37:40has been on the podium once race one in Cremona in 2025.
37:44But his wait for another podium will continue at least until tomorrow.
37:48Tom Boutemos, fifth and best of the rest.
37:51But in the end, with all the action going on ahead of him,
37:53Boutemos is only two tenths of a second from the podium by the chequered flag.
37:57Yeah, it was a really exciting race again in the Supersport class,
38:00and Boutemos is a good example of that, to be able to come away with that top five finish.
38:04He does a good job of being able to maximise everything around him so far this season.
38:08I think, obviously, we've had a couple of crashes in races,
38:10but that can happen when you're riding on the limit of what you're able to get from that package.
38:16And I think it's fair to say Boutemos is doing that.
38:18Obviously, Oli Bayliss, the only comparison we can make to him,
38:21Bayliss qualified on the fourth row of the grid, finishes outside the points.
38:24Boothemos is able to come through and take a top five finish.
38:28So Stefano Manzi, Jaume Masia and Chan Onchoo, your podium at Trio.
38:32It is the 20th podium of Chan Onchoo's Supersport career.
38:36Chan, an extraordinary tough final, but you did manage to hold on in the end for third position.
38:42Talk us through it.
38:43Yeah, I'm happy during the race.
38:46I think the riders in the front make a little bit strange attack.
38:50I'm a little bit disappointed because I could finish better.
38:56But I hope tomorrow will be better.
38:59I will try my best and we see.
39:02But it was a very funny race.
39:04I enjoy a lot because normally all the years I crash here.
39:07First time I didn't crash, I'm on the podium.
39:09So it's good.
39:10Good job.
39:11Got you.
39:14Yes, Chan Onchoo making the podium here today.
39:17He does like to put things bluntly, doesn't he?
39:19And three consecutive podiums, so his best run of the season.
39:22Yeah, and for Onchoo, I think all the doubts that were there in the past about his fitness
39:27after his crash at Assen a couple of years ago, they're well and truly gone.
39:31He's been able to show just how good of a rider he is.
39:34And today again, able to prove that he'll be disappointed to come away with that third place.
39:38There was a chance to win it, but he was always going to fight for the win as well.
39:42And for Onchoo, he put it all on the line, ends up getting beaten in this one.
39:46But front row start for tomorrow. He's going to feel that he's got a chance to
39:49go with Manzi again and get a little bit of revenge.
39:52Yeah, losing nine points is costly, though, for Chan Onchoo.
39:54He was already 63 behind coming into that race and having made a big chunk of 30 last time out,
39:59he can ill afford for Manzi to escape further away.
40:03Jaume Macias, second position here this afternoon.
40:06It's a third podium in four races for another of Super Sports 4 Men.
40:12Jaume, a fantastic final lap to get second position.
40:16Stefano had gone away over that final lap, but a very good 20 points on the board
40:21and a lot of excited fans around Marzano.
40:23Ciao tutti.
40:25Well, I'm missing to be Italian here because it looks like you have some more energy.
40:31But, yeah, today we manage our best. We give our best together with the team.
40:36And we have to improve for tomorrow to try to fight for the win.
40:40But, yeah, really happy and really enjoying to racing here in front of all the fans.
40:46Great job.
40:46That's it. Ciao.
40:48Well, maybe there is something in that because Stefano Manzi's three of his four wins
40:53have come in Italy this season so far.
40:55So a little bit of extra energy for Stefano Manzi on home ground.
40:59But Jaume Macias finding something on that final lap just to get through on Chanon Chu.
41:05And it was another good result for Jaume Macias as he becomes increasingly consistent at the front.
41:10Yeah, and that consistency is the most important thing for him and also for Ducati to see.
41:14Obviously, in the past Ducati, they've elevated the likes of Nicola Bulaga.
41:18They wanted to bring Huertas onto a super bike as well.
41:21And for them, they want to be able to see the same traits from the likes of Macias.
41:24And Oralac must be rubbing their hands together as well because they found a real pearl here in Supersport.
41:29Yeah, a real star of the future.
41:31So it's Stefano Manzi who wins.
41:33It is his third victory in three rounds and his third win on Italian soil in 2025.
41:42Stefano, amazing.
41:44It seemed like it was going to be extremely difficult from 10th on the grid,
41:47but you're up into that top three within the first lap and then breaking away on the final lap to win a dominant race.
41:53How do you feel?
41:54Yes, I feel really good to win in front of my own crowd, so it's amazing.
42:01Yeah, to be honest now, I'm super happy, but I'm already focused on tomorrow because we have another race,
42:06but now I want to enjoy a bit for like 30 minutes at the moment and then we put that down for tomorrow.
42:11So, super happy about this win, keep grinding and keep going.
42:15I think you're going to enjoy a bit more than 30 minutes. Congratulations.
42:18Yes, thank you, thank you.
42:18Ciao, ciao, grazie!
42:2030 minutes.
42:2030 minutes. It's all he's getting.
42:22He's a tough taskmaster.
42:24I'll tell you what, this is the thing though for him and for Tenkade, it's why they work so well together.
42:28I had a quick chat with Ronald Tenkade this morning and he was saying when you're always chasing perfection,
42:33it makes for a difficult life.
42:35And for Manzi, he's up the same mold and I think it's been really interesting to see.
42:40You spoke about it during the Super Bowl session you asked Alex about the improvement in his maturity
42:45and the way that he holds himself accountable, but he demands the same from everyone else as well.
42:50And look, if he does go on to take this title, as much as the peak performance and the wins are concerned,
42:56you know, that is only win number four in 11 races. It's actually the consistency
43:02that has been key for Stefano Manzi to build that advantage, never out of the top two finishers in the opening four rounds.
43:08This afternoon is podium number 50 in the Supersport World Championship for Stefano Manzi,
43:13and that's what he does. He grinds out those podium finishes and when the opportunities are there,
43:17he's right in play to take the race win.
43:19Yeah, exactly. And for Manzi, that's what's made him such a complete rider,
43:24and it's what has given Yamaha the confidence that even whenever there's been question marks
43:29about that ultimate speed, whenever you throw him out for a test session to evaluate him,
43:33obviously he's had the recent test as well on the Superbike.
43:36You just have to look at what he can do whenever there's actually times that matter, laps that matter,
43:41and he finds a way to get himself to the front. I'm excited to see what he can do on the Superbike
43:45if and when that's announced.
43:47So this is your top nine positions on the grid for race two tomorrow afternoon.
43:53Filippo Farioli with the fastest lap of the race at one minute 37.536 after a change of tyres for him.
44:00So he climbs from ninth to P1. Stefano Manzi crucially also making up those eight places.
44:07He's up from tenth on the grid to P2, and the front row will be completed by Chan Onchu,
44:12who originally qualified in P5. So two places gained by Onchu and a completely different front row of the grid
44:18for race two tomorrow afternoon because Bo Benchneider, third on the grid originally,
44:22only set the 14th fastest lap of that race. Mattia Cassadet was also outside of the top nine,
44:2911th fastest lap from him, so he drops down having originally qualified in P2.
44:34Jaume Masiya, who was on pole, will now start in fourth for race two tomorrow afternoon.
44:40Filippo Farioli then takes a fastest lap of the race to join Luca Myers, Bo Benchneider, Chan Onchu
44:46and Jaume Masiya as riders who have managed to amass a fastest lap of the race this season so far.
44:55So it's just about time for your podium celebrations then and Chan Onchu will be the first up onto the rostrum.
45:01podium number 20 for him and six already just in this 2025 campaign, as you said earlier on Steve, rather
45:10putting to bed any doubts about his capability and about his fitness with his move to the Blue Crew
45:16Evan Brothers team for this season. It's now three podiums in a row for Chan Onchu and the key for him
45:22for the remainder of this season is to avoid those retirements that have been so costly for him
45:26in the championship. Yeah exactly and for Anchu we've seen the speed all the way through this season
45:31on 48 per him those non-scores they are coming back to bite him but in the second half of the campaign
45:36he'll be hoping that all it takes is one or two mistakes for Manzi and you're right back in it.
45:40Problem is he's beaten by Manzi again today, third position for Anchu, Manzi the winner,
45:44another nine points gained. Second place on the podium for Jaume Masiya as podium number three and as I
45:51said they've all come in the last four races so Masiya's form continues to build.
45:55Just 11 race starts for him to get three podiums under his belt including his first win last time out
46:01race one of the check round in Most and your race winner Stefano Manzi. It's 50 career podiums now for
46:08Stefano Manzi, many of those of course with Tenkata Yamaha, his 14th win in the class and his fourth in this
46:152025 season, his third in three rounds and third in Italy this season. So he's enjoying the Italian flag
46:24waving and shortly we'll be hearing the national anthem for Stefano Manzi as well but great result from him.
46:30There were stages in that race when Jaume Masiya was the fastest, there were stages in that race where
46:34Chan Onchoo looked like the likely winner but in the end it's Manzi who manages to hold on to the victory.
46:39And for the three riders they've been able to put on a real show there, you throw the bees into the mix.
46:44Booth Amos hopefully tomorrow the likes of Luca Maias from that third row the grid are able to get into
46:49the mix at the front as well but at one stage we had it looked like an eight or a nine rider group at the
46:54front and I think we'll certainly take the same again tomorrow. Yes we certainly would but in
46:58the meanwhile it's time to hear the national anthem for your race winner Stefano Manzi.
47:01And now ladies and gentlemen for the second time today the nationality, sorry the national anthem of the
47:16winning rider, the national anthem of Italy.
47:31the stadium of Italy.
47:36for one stage, the national anthem of the the 한 benjamin of M.
47:40the national anthem's will be ground.
47:42The fun thời, the national anthem somates in the the standard anthem of Giants.
47:45The national anthem, the national anthem of Gatthe is a beat друг fuld of the cast member of the
47:52종 bait.
47:54Feel the national anthem as well was the Kartman and the Indian Miss Varadala
47:58of the other seemed, it was пров Arcani volunteered to pod
49:01I've already won one race.
49:03I need to keep winning races.
49:04Yeah, it is important to keep enjoying the podiums, though.
49:06He was celebrating that one after the race with the flag and so on as if he'd just won it.
49:10And Jaume Maciard does climb back up to fifth in the championship ahead of Luca Maas, who comes home in eighth position.
49:16No change in the top four, but they are all that much closer together from second place down.
49:21Stefano Manzi is your race one winner here at the Pirelli Emilia Romagna round ahead of Jaume Maciard by half a second.
49:27Crucial penultimate lap from Manti to break away.
49:31Maciard doing well to wriggle clear of Chanon Chu, who had to work hard to defend against Valentin de Bies on the final lap.
49:37De Bies, best of the rest.
49:39Tom Boothamos leading that secondary group.
49:41Closed in, but it was too little, too late.
49:43It's fifth place for him.
49:44And off your main title contenders, Bo Benchneider will be the most disappointing.

Dianjurkan
