Fer Lopez & the areas Wolves need to strengthen this summer.
Transcript
00:00Yeah, it's a really good question. I think you've got to consider how this window ends for Wolves. Now, we're lucky that we're talking about this and this question, if you will, in June. And we're not talking about this on the 15th of August when the season's about to start.
00:14Or the 1st of September.
00:15Well, or the 1st of September when the window closes, exactly. Because Wolves do need to replace quality with quality. Cunha's gone. You need someone who's going to come in. You need a spread of goals, of course you do, but you also need to replace that individual brilliance to some degree as well.
00:32Now, you need to be more of a cohesive team rather than relying on one individual, but you do need experience and quality. And someone who's been there and done it as well to come in in those areas.
00:41So, in my opinion, for that reason, I don't think furlough can be seen as someone who's coming in guaranteed to start. Hence why we're being told and all the information we have is that this will not be a Mateus Cunha replacement.
00:52It will be someone that will be given a bit of time. However, as you've said and as I've said, it's quite a big outlay for Wolves.
01:00They tend to spend this kind of money. Andre was 21 million, only one and a half million more.
01:09Jao Gomez was much less, around 15. So, you know, you bring players in that have gone on to be fantastic for Wolves, but they've gone in that sort of lower bracket of fees.
01:19So, this will be fascinating to see how it plays out. Clearly a player's got talent. Clearly a player that's going to go and have a good career.
01:27It's whether it happens at Wolves, because we've seen good players come in and not do particularly well if it's too much too young.
