00:05after a magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit the port city of Callao. According to the country's
00:12Geophysical Institute, the system was registered at 11.35 a.m. local time in the Pacific Ocean
00:20with an epicenter 23 kilometers southwest of the Peruvian locality. In the aftermath,
00:26the Navy eased inhabitants by assuring the quake had failed to trigger tsunami alerts.
00:32However, a later report by the National Emergency Operations Center unveiled a man had died in the
00:39District of Independencia, north of Lima, after the collapse of a wall due to a raised floor.
00:46In addition, the institution informed that at least five injured people were being treated at
00:51different hospitals in the Peruvian capital, where damage to roads and health facilities
00:56were also reported.
01:05In this context, the Bolivian foreign ministry expressed its solidarity with the Peruvian people
01:11after the earthquake. The ministry of foreign affairs of the South American expressed country
01:21its solidarity with the people and government of the Republic of Peru in view of the earthquake
01:28registered this Sunday, June 15th, which unfortunately has claimed the life of one person and at least
01:38five people injured and caused damage in houses, offices and other structures.
