Iranโ€™s military response intensifies, launching a powerful missile barrage across Israel, striking targets in central Tel Aviv and beyond. At least 10 people are confirmed dead, with hundreds injured as panic and destruction spread ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿšจ. In retaliation, the IDF launches renewed airstrikes on Tehran, claiming hits on Iranโ€™s defense ministry, energy facilities, and alleged nuclear weapons sites to halt what it says is a growing atomic threat โš ๏ธ.

Meanwhile, in the United States, anti-Trump protests grip major cities, with Los Angeles at the center of escalating unrest ๐Ÿ”ฅ. On the East Coast, demonstrators confront a military parade led by the president in Washington, D.C., exposing deep divisions across the nation. Investigations are underway into who is funding these protest movements, as violence spreads from coast to coast and threatens to destabilize the fragile U.S. political system.

00:01Iran and Israel have exchanged yet another round of missile and airstrikes overnight.
00:07Now, the Israeli military has published footage of attacks on surface-to-surface missile launchers in Iran
00:14after similar sites in Israel were targeted.
00:18Well, at least 10 people have been killed in Israel, according to medics and media outlets,
00:30with a further 200 more wounded.
00:33Some 35 people are also believed to be missing after an Iranian missile strike on a residential building in central Tel Aviv.
00:43Well, we can cross live now to local journalist Nick Koliokan, who is in Israel.
00:49Nick, morning to you.
00:51Tel Aviv, many other areas feeling the brunt of overnight Iranian strikes, it appears.
00:57Yes, that's right.
00:59You can see behind me this residential area in the suburb of Tel Aviv, a city called Batyam,
01:05and the tents of buildings here are completely destroyed.
01:10People are evacuated because any of those buildings can collapse.
01:16And this is because the ballistic missile that was fired from Iran is so big and the blast is so huge
01:22that the wave, shock wave that came after the blast made a lot of the houses all around not stable anymore.
01:31So the people are evacuated and still, unfortunately, there are people who are missing
01:37and probably they are in the ruins or in the high-rise building here behind me that you can see,
01:44which is the blowing half of it is not there anymore.
01:48You see the apartments are not there anymore.
01:51And the usual bomb shelters that Israelis were building inside of apartments,
01:57it was the once-rotected room.
01:59You can see now that it is not enough because this kind of ballistic missiles can take down the whole building.
02:07And now there are approximately seven people missing at least and about six people already dead,
02:14some of them children, some of them elderly, but probably there will be more people.
02:19And also in other cities in Israel, there are several casualties.
02:24About four people were dead from one family in Tamra.
02:28And in Arab cities in Israel, they don't have even bomb shelters like in those apartments here.
02:37So they're also in constant danger, imminent danger from those ballistic missiles.
02:43And all the other cities of Israel also in the same threat.
02:48And now Israel trying to portray that the United States is part of this attack
02:54and they want the health of the United States.
02:56They want Trump and his administration to help.
03:00But Trump is hesitant and he's not showing the U.S. that they will be involved,
03:08like Israel want them to be involved, and we can take a listen to what they are saying.
03:16The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight.
03:19If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran,
03:23the full strength and might of the U.S. armed forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.
03:29However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict.
03:35Yeah, so unfortunately, the shows that we see here behind me,
03:42we will continue to see the same things if this war will continue
03:46because the Israel can't, unfortunately, intercept all the missiles.
03:51And you can see how much destruction just one missile can bring.
03:56You can see how much destruction just from one missile.
04:00And all those buildings here behind me can collapse.
04:02You see here people inside of the house.
04:05They are trying now to find all the things that they need before they are evacuated.
04:10But all this area is a complete mess.
04:14And many more dead bodies, unfortunately, could be found here soon.
04:19OK, thank you very much for giving us a sense of the morning after those overnight attacks.
04:24Local journalist Nicole Jokin live from just outside Tel Aviv.
04:30Well, Israeli anti-war activist Ayal Rosenberg is of the view.
04:35Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to divert attention from failures in the war on Gaza
04:40and a slew of domestic issues to it.
04:43This is kind of a distraction tactic on part of Mr. Netanyahu from the situation in Gaza,
04:52his own political situation.
04:53He's now testifying in his own trial.
04:58And this attack certainly draws attention away from that.
05:02Let's him not completely avoid the trial, but suspend it, at least partially.
05:09So people go down to the bomb shelters with some of the effect of government propaganda,
05:17but not an understanding of why this war is even happening.
05:20There's been a process of legitimization of endless strikes and attacks against civilians,
05:31infrastructure, surrounding countries,
05:35whoever is seen to somehow support the enemy or be not on our side, so to speak.
05:43And in that context, attacks on Lebanese, attacks on Syrians, attacks on Yemen, attacks on Iran,
05:52it's somehow perceived as part of this grand campaign of striking all of our enemies
05:58that the government is trying to present.
06:02And if you're against that in general, you're probably against the strike on Iran.
06:06And if you aren't, then it's more likely, unfortunately,
06:11that you will be swayed by what you're hearing in most of the Israeli media.
06:16A lot of praise for the quality of the strike,
06:20the prowess of the pilots and the Israeli intelligence, etc.
06:26Well, the strikes on Israel come after the IDF launched multiple attacks on the Iranian capital.
06:36Footage on social media shows a residential building completely destroyed.
06:40According to the Israeli military, Iran's defense ministry headquarters were targeted
06:44as well as sites related to Iran's nuclear program.
06:49Well, Israel's latest wave of attacks took out Tehran's main gas depot
06:55and its central oil plant in separate parts of the capital.
06:59As you can see here, engulfing the skies, smoke and flames early on Sunday.
07:05One of the country's largest oil refineries was also struck,
07:08according to Iranian state news media.
07:11Emergency crews are fighting to contain the fire.
07:13Well, during the first strikes of this conflict by Israel early on Friday,
07:2160 people, including 20 children, were killed in just one residential building,
07:25according to rescuers.
07:27RT was the first international media outlet to broadcast from the site,
07:31which had been closed for security reasons.
07:34I'm reporting from a scene of devastation in Tehran.
07:37I'm standing on the ruins of what was once a bustling residential building.
07:41As you can see, this residential building has been destroyed as a result of Israeli airstrikes
07:46on Friday, killing at least 60 people, among them 20 children.
07:51And according to rescue workers, 10 of the children are still trapped under the rubbles.
07:57And of course, rescue workers are still working and searching around the clock
08:02for the dead bodies of these children to be found.
08:06Well, scattered around me, you can see the remnants of everyday life,
08:11for example, children's toys, dolls, clothes, and whatever takes us back in time to our childhood.
08:19Look at this beautiful doll.
08:22This has been a plaything of an innocent child, which is not with us anymore now.
08:29Well, the devastation of this residential building shows that unlike the Israeli claim
08:37of only targeting nuclear and military sites, Israel has targeted residential buildings.
08:44And this is the first residential building which has come under Israeli attack on Friday.
08:50And there are other instances of such devastations of residential buildings
08:55across not just in Tehran, but also in different cities as well.
08:58According to official reports, as a result of the Israeli air raids
09:03against different Iranian targets so far, at least 78 people have been killed
09:09and almost 320 more people have been injured.
09:14Let's hope for a day that the lives of innocent children and women,
09:19and in one word, all civilians, are not targeted in any conflict.
09:24Someone could jury, RT, Tehran.
09:29Yeah, that exclusive report there from Tehran.
09:33Well, let's cross live now to Beirut-based journalist Mohamed Shamsuddin for his view.
09:40Mohamed, I was happy you were on here because I want to go essentially overall on the scenario,
09:46on the situation that we're seeing here.
09:48And one thing comes to mind first.
09:51The Trump team claims the U.S. had nothing to do with Israel's strikes on Iran.
09:56Do you believe that such large-scale military operations could have been done
10:02without at least tacit approval by essentially Israel's sole weapons supplier?
10:07No, Israel would not have launched a great attack like this without U.S.A. greenlighting it,
10:18or at least not giving it a red light, not opposing this attack.
10:24So it's impossible to say U.S.A. had nothing to do with the attack.
10:30I even believe they had some intelligence cooperation launching this attack,
10:38especially that some agents worked inside of Iran.
10:45So it's impossible that the U.S.A. did not have anything to do with the attack.
10:50But U.S.A. is being a little bit smart, or they consider themselves smart.
10:57They are not launching exactly a military attack on Iran.
11:01They are leaving it for Israel, but they are okay with it.
11:06Trump himself said that the attack on Iran was great, was excellent.
11:10So the Trump administration is greenlighting the attack, but not, like, publicly.
11:18They are going, okay, go, Israel, do your thing, and we'll see what we'll do later.
11:23Just related to that, according to media reports,
11:26Israel has been trying to force Washington's hand to join the conflict
11:29as much as they can force Washington's hand.
11:32How likely is that to happen?
11:34It seems you're saying not short-term, but what about overall?
11:38On short-term, yes, as you said, I don't believe on short-term,
11:44U.S.A. will join the attack.
11:47But we might see, like, U.S. anti-missile defenses,
11:55U.S. Army intercepting Iranian missile or Housie missiles also.
12:01Yesterday I saw a report that U.S. forces intercepted Housie missiles.
12:06For now, U.S.A. will not attack Iran directly, I believe.
12:12But if this goes on, if Iran keeps striking Israel like this,
12:20U.S.A. might be forced to attack or it will lose Netanyahu at least,
12:27because now Iran has a strategy.
12:32If Israel wants a regime change in Iran, Iran says,
12:36I want a regime change in Israel.
12:38These attacks from Iran yesterday were massive.
12:41They are trying to pressure the Israeli people to go against Netanyahu
12:47in a way like, this is all your fault.
12:50We didn't need to attack.
12:52This is all your fault.
12:53They are trying to pressure the Israeli people to take down Netanyahu.
13:01You can't change the regime in Iran,
13:03or if you want to change the regime in Iran,
13:05you will suffer a regime change in Israel too.
13:08Right.
13:09Yemen's Houthis claim they've targeted Tel Aviv in coordination with Iran.
13:13How likely, Mohammed, is it that a large-scale conflict in the region
13:17pulling in Iran's allies, that comes into being?
13:22Well, about from 7 October, we have seen Israel taking out many of Iran's allies in the region.
13:32They greatly damaged them.
13:34They greatly weakened them.
13:37But now, Iran is taking the initiative.
13:40Iran is finally launching full-on confrontation with Israel.
13:47These allies might come now to the aid of Iran.
13:52You also might see other people who are not exactly allies with Iran,
13:58but they might enter the conflict as Pakistan.
14:01Because Pakistan said yesterday that it feels if Iran falls, the next is Pakistan.
14:08There is an old interview for Netanyahu.
14:10He says we have two great countries we have to fear, Iran and Pakistan.
14:14So countries around Iran or countries in the region might feel they are threatened by Iran's fall.
14:26So we might see a regional conflict, which might turn into a regional war,
14:34which might even turn to a global war.
14:38Because if the USA enters this war, countries around the world will take steps to achieve their goals.
14:49We might see a conflict in China and Taiwan.
14:52We might see Ukraine fall completely.
14:54We don't have Ukraine anymore.
14:55So the U.S., if it considers joining the fight, it will have to do great calculations what is the impact on the entire world,
15:06not just on Iran and Israel.
15:08Really interesting in terms of wider ramifications.
15:11Mohamed, thank you for your time today.
15:12Live from Beirut, journalist Mohamed Shamsuddin.
15:17Well, Iran's supreme leader has vowed the country's enemies will pay the price for their aggression.
15:25Well, the Israeli prime minister pledged an expansion, as we were just hearing,
15:28of the aerial operation over Tehran in quite a vociferous way as well.
15:35We have paved a path to Tehran.
15:37In the very near future, you will see Israeli air force jets over the skies of Tehran.
15:42We will strike every sight and every target of the Ayatollah's regime.
15:45And what they have felt until now is nothing compared to what they will feel under the sway of our forces in the coming days.
15:53We will not make any concessions to them, and their lives will undoubtedly become bitter.
15:59They should not think that they attacked us, and that's it.
16:02No, they started the war.
16:05We will not allow them to escape unharmed from the great crime they committed.
16:09Well, we spoke to a left-wing Israeli MP on the unprecedented escalation between Iran and Israel.
16:16Offer Kassev believes the Netanyahu government used its assault as a way to deflect public attention
16:23from ongoing events in Gaza and the West Bank.
16:26There's no doubt the situation is much graver.
16:30We could see not only the destruction and the death toll in Iran and in Israel,
16:35but also the potentiality of escalation.
16:40Obviously, I hope that immediately there will be, as soon as possible, a solution and a peaceful one.
16:48We deserve a peaceful solution.
16:50The people of Iran and Israel and Palestinians everywhere, we deserve peace.
16:54And that's the only solution.
16:56Unfortunately, it seems that the government of Israel, primarily, is not interested in that.
17:02Why Israel decided to attack Iran?
17:06There are two things.
17:07First, vis-ร -vis the international community, the real reason, and vis-ร -vis the public in Israel.
17:16So vis-ร -vis the world, the government of Israel wants to deflect the attention from the ongoing genocidal atrocities in Gaza
17:26and the ethnic cleansing in the West Bank to the Iranian part.
17:34In addition, Israel, the government of Israel is interested in dragging the United States into a direct intervention.
17:43Everybody actually knows what are the real motivations of Netanyahu and his thugs in the coalition and government.
17:52Politics, politics, politics, at the expense of the lives and well-being of the peoples of the region,
18:00the Israelis themselves, the Palestinians, the Iranians and others.
18:06Now, there's been a shooting at an anti-Trump rally in Utah, leaving a man critically injured and arrests being made.
18:14The nationwide protests under the banner of the so-called No Kings movement have gripped U.S. cities.
18:21A curfew has been imposed in Los Angeles, one of the rally hotspots after protesters clashed with police.
18:30Here in downtown L.A., it seems the crowd is now throwing explosive fireworks towards the feather.
18:59This lives to the position around City Hall.
19:02Explosions are taking place, as you can hear behind me.
19:05It's getting quite intense.
19:07Cars are going by, throwing explosives at protesters.
19:11It's not clear who is in the cars, but they are throwing explosives at the protesters.
19:16They're driving at high speed through the streets, throwing loud bangs.
19:20It seems the crowd is being forced out of the streets.
19:23It appears that some fireworks were thrown at the police or the federal troops that are guarding City Hall.
19:30So we're waiting to see what's happening.
19:32Some of the crowd are bracing for tear gas to be dispersed.
19:35We continue to hear little explosions going off.
19:44We've seen quite a bit of smoke coming from down by City Hall, where the crowd is.
19:49So one protester was seen covered in blood.
19:52It looks like he was hit with a police rubber bullet.
19:55There's the possibility, it appears there's some fireworks being thrown.
19:59Quite a tense scene.
20:00Many people in the crowd are masking up, putting on gas masks in anticipation of tear gas.
20:05So quite an intense scene here in downtown Los Angeles.
20:13He's been hit on the foot, apparently.
20:17He's got a severe foot injury, it appears.
20:21They've kind of assembled a medical team, is trying to get him medical help.
20:24They're calling for 911.
20:25Now, a number of protesters are trapped down by City Hall.
20:28An army of police has kind of closed in on them, surrounding the streets around City Hall so that there's no escape.
20:34A number of the protesters are on the streets in front of City Hall, still with no way out, where they're standing off with the federal troops.
20:42As you can see, a number of police vehicles, police on horseback, have just closed off any of the streets that would provide an escape.
20:49Now, we all just received notice on our phones that an unlawful assembly has been declared.
20:54The phone notice urges people to avoid the downtown area and that basically announces that the federal troops or local law enforcement had declared the assembly of people, the thousands of people gathered here, to be unlawful.
21:06That's the notice we just received on our phones.
21:07Well, protests were witnessed in all 50 states, with Oklahoma, Atlanta and Miami witnessing some of the largest numbers, while hundreds of people carrying banners and flags gathered on the streets of New York.
21:22An anti-imperialist activist, the Latin America studies academic, Danny Shaw, filed this report from the Big Apple.
21:30Over 2,000 marches in the United States today, called No Kings Day against Trump and his migration policies and his overall agenda.
21:43But many are asking, the Democratic Party has also been anti-immigrant.
21:49In fact, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were guilty in their administrations of expelling and depoting record-high numbers of immigrants.
22:00So I think there is a lot of hypocrisy.
22:03Today, this march is dominated by Democratic Party politics, as though that's the only option we have in this country.
22:13Certainly a lot of money was poured into turning out people today.
22:18After the assassinations in Minnesota, there's a lot of fear in the United States of polarization that there can continue to be more political crimes.
22:29And that's why Biden and other Democratic Party's spokespeople have gone into the media asking that there be more retaliation because of this fear that this country could come apart at the seams.
22:42And if there is internal turmoil, how can they continue to carry out their imperial agenda, their proxy war on Russia, their genocide against Palestine?
22:54And now there could be a third world war.
22:57Well, RT correspondent Shea Bose joined me in the studio earlier to shed some light on the money behind them, Ian.
23:06Shea, things don't seem to be calming down much, despite the Marines, the National Guard being called into L.A. by President Trump.
23:17Now it's on the other side of the coast as well.
23:20This is getting messy.
23:21Yeah, and of course, when you talk about the scale of these protests, as you mentioned, it's across the United States now.
23:29That needs coordination.
23:31These things don't happen organically.
23:33They need to be organized.
23:34There needs to be people to pay for the buses, the signs.
23:37It takes huge organizational effort.
23:40Now, at the center of this particular set of protests, the No Kings movement, is an interesting group called Chirla, okay, an immigrant rights group.
23:51Now, they also have been involved in organizing the previous riots which erupt, essentially coordinating that.
23:58Now, they're funded by the Soros Foundation, among others.
24:01Of course, the Ford Foundation are there, Open Society, again.
24:06And we've done a lot of work on this here at RT in our War in the Shadows project in Serbia, looking at how NGOs operate.
24:12And in the United States, there is vast amounts of money, you know, being pumped into the political scene.
24:19This is, in some ways, we hear a lot about proxy wars in Ukraine.
24:21This is, in some ways, a proxy political battle between the Republicans and Democrats, with immigration and law and order and the policing of immigration being seen as the issues.
24:32But behind the scenes, there's a lot of money, a lot of influence, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars being spent annually.
24:38Now, a lady in charge, or one of the directors of this Chirla organization, we're going to have a listen to what she has to say.
24:45Now, she's talking about unprecedented scenes in the United States.
24:49Many presidents in the United States have talked about closing borders, about the need to tighten up immigration.
24:54But it's being deployed now as a uniquely Trumpian thing, that this is some sort of authoritarian move.
24:59It's happened before.
25:00Let's have a listen to one of the directors of Chirla, see what she has to say.
25:05What I have seen come to our city is cruelty, is chaos.
25:12I have never seen this.
25:16It's unprecedented, and that is an understatement.
25:20Now, it's worthwhile for the people at home to remember who is actually paying this lady's salary.
25:26Remember, these NGOs, again, very influential, and in the background, a lot of black money as well, pumped into elections, which we don't even know where it's spent in the United States.
25:35So it's a very heavily financed political environment in the United States right now.
25:39And a dangerous one.
25:41We saw, not so long ago, Shay, a Democratic lawmaker, her husband, shot dead in Minnesota.
25:47A senator also wounded in that attack amid these no-kings rallies.
25:53What's emerging regarding that?
25:56Yeah, really shocking.
25:58During these protests, and this increasingly fractious political environment in the United States, very, very worrying to see so much violence, so much anger on the streets.
26:09Four people were actually shot.
26:11Two separate couples were shot, five miles apart.
26:14There's an investigation ongoing.
26:15We don't know exactly what the motivations were.
26:19But Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were shot dead, a Democratic politician, one of those.
26:28And then Senator John Hoffman, who's 60, and his wife were shot about five miles away.
26:34Police believe it's probably the same attacker.
26:36They both survived.
26:38But what's interesting about this is, despite the fact that the FBI have announced an investigation, nobody really knows what the motivation for this was.
26:45Tim Waltz, Kamala Harris' running mate, people will remember him.
26:50He's made a lot of statements about Mr. Trump, around the shooting of Mr. Trump.
26:54A lot of controversial stuff comes from Mr. Waltz up on stage.
26:58Some would say, you know, basking a bit in the misfortune of Mr. Trump at the time.
27:04He's come out to say that this is basically political violence, without any investigation from the FBI to confirm that.
27:10Again, it shows that the deployment of any sort of event that occurs in this vacuum of violence and division is being used maybe by the Democrats in particular to rile things up out on the streets.
27:24Let's have a listen to what Mr. Waltz had to say.
27:26This was an act of targeted political violence.
27:30Peaceful discourse is the foundation of our democracy.
27:34We don't settle our differences with violence or at gunpoint.
27:40Talking about political violence, you know, maybe putting the car before the horse, we don't know what exactly happened.
27:46But talking about political violence, while in the background, organizations like Chirla, Soros, Rockefeller, Ford Foundation, these very, very powerful institutions are essentially funding and facilitating exceptionally violent protests out on the streets, which we can all see with our own eyes.
28:02There seems to be an a la carte attitude from Mr. Waltz to what constitutes political violence and the support of it, you know.
28:09We also spoke with U.S. Conservative broadcaster Joe Altman on the unrest being seen.
28:13He says the names funding the rallies as Shea was going through there will be familiar to many across the globe, particularly those who themselves have seen protests pushed from the shadows.
28:24State senator or state congress legislator that just was assassinated by a no king supporter.
28:32It was a Minnesota activist that worked for Tim Waltz, was on one of his boards that dressed up as a police officer and went and shot her and her husband dead in the head and then went and shot another state senator in the head as well.
28:51Well, it represents all that is unhealthy and bad about the world.
28:56It's funded by these radical leftist groups.
29:00The no kings is start by the same group of people that are tied to multiple other organizations whose whole whole desire is to destroy societal norms, not just the United States, but around the world.
29:11Look, it's the same playbook that they've been playing every year, whether we're talking about 2020, you can go all the way back to the Occupy Wall Street movement that was happening in the early 2000s.
29:23It's all tied to the same idea of create chaos and the opportunity that comes from that chaos.
29:28But yes, these same organizations are funded in large part by government grants and programs that are, you know, that were under fire with with Elon Musk and the Doge initiative.
29:39So, yeah, there's there's lots of evidence that shows that these organizations are even out paying people to protest and to participate in these protests.
