00:32He spent every waking moment in his room, experimenting with a variety of charms and
00:37spells. Although he came from a magical family, his opportunities to practice magic before now
00:43had been limited. For starters, neither Chris nor Diana treated their wands like ordinary tools,
00:50they considered them almost like an extension of themselves. Their wands were precious,
00:55and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they viewed them as their second lives.
01:00As a result, Kyle was only allowed to hold their wands twice a year, on Christmas and his birthday.
01:06Kyle understood the significance of these moments. He made sure to keep things simple,
01:12using basic spells like the wand lighting charm or the unlocking charm,
01:16both of which had minimal risks even if they failed. But there was another challenge,
01:21wand compatibility. Even though Kyle was their son, both of his parents' wands showed no affinity for
01:28him. The rejection was clear. Diana's wand, in particular, felt completely inert in Kyle's hands,
01:36no different than holding a regular stick. No matter how many times he recited the incantations,

16:15The truth was, Kyle knew what this was, a ritual of sorts, a kind of playful hazing.
16:23The wizarding world had limited sources of entertainment, quidditch, some minor festivities,
16:28and, of course, fooling young witches and wizards. It was tradition, and Kyle had no reason to spoil

17:24progressed, his face turned a sickly shade of pale. Trolls, ghosts, and hippogriffs were extreme,
17:30sure, but Ron figured he could manage to escape if things got really bad. The Hogwarts professors
17:37wouldn't let students face anything truly deadly, right? But a dragon? That was another matter entirely.
17:45Dragons were classified as XXXXX-level magical creatures, dangerous even to fully trained adult
17:52wizards. For an 11-year-old, facing a dragon sounded like certain death. By the time the professors had
17:59cast their protection spells, Ron feared he'd already be a pile of ash from a single sneeze
18:05of dragon fire. Is this seriously what school is like? Ron thought, his heart sinking. He felt an
18:13overwhelming urge to run away from home and never look back. Hogwarts sounded less like a place of
18:19learning and more like a death trap. Ginny wasn't faring much better. Her usually vibrant red hair
18:26seemed to have lost its shine, and her face was pale as she stared down at her plate, visibly shaken.

23:27Once dinner ended, Percy went upstairs to review his homework, ever the diligent student.
23:33Meanwhile, Ron, carrying a small bundle in a bid to run away from home, was caught and
23:39was now taking the twins' place, being chased around the yard by a determined Mrs. Weasley.
23:44As this chaotic scene played out, Mr. Weasley and Chris continued their conversation in a
23:49quieter corner of the burrow.
23:52Chris, what you did earlier was a bit much, Mr. Weasley said, shaking his head with a smile.
23:58It's just the sorting, after all, no one actually faces a dragon.
24:03Kyle's clever.
24:05I'm sure he realized we were pulling his leg.
24:09No, Arthur, you've got it wrong, Chris replied, shaking his head.
24:14The plan was never going to work.
24:16You see, Kyle has spent at least two months every year with Newt Scamander since he was

25:40Chris's point was clear, even if Mr. Weasley magically changed his surname to Chopper,
25:45he wouldn't suddenly be able to have meaningful conversations with everyday objects like toasters or cars.

25:53Chapter 9, The Hogwarts Express
25:56In the wizarding world, September 1st is a very important day,
26:01especially for witches and wizards over the age of 11 who have not yet graduated.
26:06On this day, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry begins its school year.
26:11Young witches and wizards who have just turned 11 eagerly await this day,
26:15counting down with anticipation, hoping it will come quickly.
26:19However, for those aged 12 to 17, it's not necessarily a day of excitement.
26:25The start of the school year marks the end of a carefree summer holiday,
26:29bringing with it the realization that all the work they had blissfully forgotten about is now waiting for them.
26:35And that, of course, is not good news.
26:38This feeling was especially true for Kyle and the Weasley twins.
26:42In the front yard of the borough, Kyle, standing in front, looked excited,
26:48while Fred and George, who were behind him, seemed nervous,
26:51whispering to each other occasionally as if they were first years heading to Hogwarts for the very first time.

27:00Chris had planned to disapparate with him directly to King's Cross,
27:04but just before they could leave, Mrs. Weasley had appeared at the door.
27:07She seemed to know exactly what Chris had in mind and, without missing a beat,
27:13told him that there were too many muggles at King's Cross for it to be safe to disapparate.
27:17She insisted that Kyle should travel with them instead.
27:21Chris, seeing Mrs. Weasley's determined expression,
27:25swallowed his objections and simply nodded in agreement.
27:28Meanwhile, Kyle rubbed his forehead in mild frustration.
27:31He wanted to point out to Mrs. Weasley that, in the eyes of muggles,
27:37seeing nine people pile out of a Ford would be far more conspicuous than two people suddenly appearing out of thin air.
27:44After all, they weren't in India,
27:46and the Ford wasn't some sacred vehicle with a diamond-shaped logo allowing infinite passengers.
27:52But, at 11 years old, his opinion didn't carry much weight, so he stayed quiet.
27:57Just then, Mrs. Weasley approached Kyle and asked kindly,
28:01Dear, have you packed everything?
28:04Of course, Kyle replied, giving a light kick to the large suitcase at his feet.
28:09I checked it three times before we left.
28:13Everything's in there.
28:15That's good, Mrs. Weasley said with a smile and a nod.
28:19While they were talking, Mr. Weasley arrived, pulling up in an old, vintage car.
28:24It was their mode of transport for the day,
28:27a Ford that had passed through at least nine different owners and been bought from who knows where.
28:32Yet Mr. Weasley adored it and treated it with great care.

28:38Get in the car, Mr. Weasley said, ushering Chris to get in first.
28:43At that point, Kyle realized it was too late to object,
28:47so with a resigned sigh, he climbed into the car, followed by the rest of the Weasley family.

28:57so despite squeezing in nine people and a hefty amount of luggage, it didn't feel cramped at all.

29:24attention to the old, rickety Ford. The group made their way seamlessly to the barrier between
29:30platforms 9 and 10. Once they reached this spot, they no longer had to worry about being noticed
29:36by muggles. A nearby muggle-repelling charm ensured that ordinary people would instinctively avoid the
29:42area. Even in rare instances when something unusual did catch a muggle's eye, members of the Ministry of
29:49Magic Station nearby would handle it swiftly. It was a very secure process. Under Mrs. Weasley's
29:57guidance, the group lined up and, one by one, passed through the seemingly solid barrier,
30:02emerging on the other side at Platform 9 and 3 quarters. The platform was bustling with life,
30:08much busier than the area outside. Next to it stood a dark red steam train, proudly displaying

30:22Kyle. Hearing the familiar tone, Kyle spun around quickly and saw Diana smiling warmly at him.

37:28in the corridor. But the quiet didn't last long. Cedric had barely turned two pages when the
37:34compartment door slid open again. Finally, I found you, Kyle. We saved you a seat, but you stood us up
37:42and made us wait like idiots. I think you owe us an apology. Fred and George Weasley stood leaning
37:50against the doorframe, interrogating Kyle one after the other. They both looked rather annoyed,

40:07but Faith had other plans, and he had been discovered by the worst people possible.

40:13Cedric pleaded, folding his hands as if in prayer.

40:21As he spoke, he placed a neat stack of parchment on the table.
