00:08He is off, front wheel comes up a tiny bit as he puts that 225 horsepower down on the track.

00:14There's number three, James Hillier had a pretty good week.

00:17A few pit stops that haven't worked.

00:18Michael Dunlop is coming up late as he overslept.

00:21Really, really late, just seconds to go before he sets off.

00:24There goes Hutchie, number four.

00:26Again, one of the favourites, back brake on you can see,

00:29he operated by his thumb, trying to keep the front wheel down.

00:32So, Michael Dunlop, what has he got?

00:34He has to wait a bit longer because John McGinnis is riding.

00:37He rides number six, so there's an extra 10 seconds to wait.

00:39He powers Kavanic Suzuki off the line.

00:41Brand new bike is here.

00:43The Hawk boys have been working hard to get it fixed up.

00:45They have, it didn't make the distance in the first superbike race.

00:48Let's see if it can in the senior.

00:50Over the lights he goes and heads down Bray Hill.

00:53But yeah, it's been a frantic time for these guys.

00:55They literally have just got this bike out of the box at the start of the season.

01:00He's been fast on it through practice.

01:05We ride with James Hillier coming up to its fast corner known as Balasqueri.

01:12What a moment that was for James Hillier aboard the Kawasaki.

01:16Steve, how did he get away with that one?

01:18That is ridiculous.

01:20Yeah, that's a fifth gear.

01:24James is a heck of a rider, but that is no one's business.

01:28Oh my goodness.

01:30Yeah, and you can see already now being out, breaking himself.

01:33Hachi into Balaf.

01:35You can see he's got past Hillier, but man, he was in there way, way hot.

01:39Now we're seeing here all these front-running riders pushing to the absolute limit.

01:44When you see them have moments like this, you've realised how hard they are going.

01:48Stunning.

01:49Oh, Peter Hickman having a bit of a moment.

01:51Nothing like James Hillier, but nevertheless focusing.

01:55Riding up on the mountain now with Hachi, the man.

01:59And we just know there's nothing in it between these guys.

02:01At the moment, it is anybody's race.

02:03It's anybody's lap, but for that matter.

02:05Yeah, it certainly is.

02:06You see the helicopter behind Hachi there trailing him on road as we head up over the mountain.

02:10We'll find out shortly.

02:11Bruce actually goes over the line.

02:12And we have to remember when we see these splits, these riders can't see each other on circuit.

02:16They are literally just racing the track.

02:19They've got no idea where the other rider is on road, but it just shows that they are all pushing at 100%.

02:24Yeah, pit boards is the only indication they've got of how they are going.

02:28They won't believe what is going on in the mountain.

02:29Ian Hutchinson, he won't even know he's in second.

02:32He'll just know he's somewhere near the front at this point.

02:34Probably get a pit board down the bottom of the hill over the start and finish line.

02:37Now we're going to find out again.

02:39Hickman still in front.

02:40Hickman has 1.72 of a second.

02:43Harrison in third.

02:45There he is, shortly to be on the brakes.

02:47I hope he gets it pulled up a bit quicker this time.

02:49Yeah, he certainly was sideways on the way in there, lap one.

02:52But this time it looks like it's a little more sedate.

02:55And it all goes to plan.

02:56Yeah, of course that first lap, full tank of fuel, all that to get used to.

03:00Oh, another little wriggle there.

03:02But he's got both of them underneath the screen immediately.

03:13Hutchinson back in front of Hickman.

03:16Yeah, this is, you couldn't script this race, Steve.

03:18This is so close and so tight between those two BMWs at the front.

03:22And Bruce has got out of there on the right side as well, Ken.

03:24He certainly has.

03:25And currently running in a very strong fifth position.

03:27Okay, up to Ramsey Hepp in another time.

03:30This is, of course, lap two.

03:32And it is Hickman or Hutchinson.

03:34We'll have to wait for the split to show us.

03:36And it's Hutchinson still in front.

03:38He is still in front at the moment, but not much.

03:41Look at that.

03:41It's identical.

03:420.08 of a second.

03:45A lap and a half of the 37 and three quarter mile mountain circuit.

03:49And they're separated by less than a tenth of a second.

03:52Yeah, up through Guthrie's corner.

03:53We go through here.

03:54This has come up to 27th up onto the mountain.

03:57Then it's the mountain mile, which has got the speed up the top here.

03:59Into the right hand.

04:01Oh, Hutchinson's down.

04:04Ian Hutchinson, number four, has gone down.

04:06That's a horrible accident.

04:07Let's hope he's okay.

04:09Well, a complete restart.

04:10And it is the same order.

04:11Number one about to go.

04:12Dave Johnson, the big Norton, fires it off for the second time today.

04:17Michael Dunlop.

04:19And we know he's changed the shock absorber on that.

04:21Flag drops.

04:22And he dumps the clutch.

04:24And off he goes.

04:24Yeah, I saw Michael's Suzuki team have the laptop plugged into that new GSX-R.

04:28So they'll probably ruin some engine tuning changes to it before the restart as well.

04:31Right, okay.

04:33So, as we said, a complete restart.

04:35Unfortunately, Hutchinson will not be in this.

04:37He's been taken off, but fortunately, not too serious injuries.

04:41So, through the bottom of Brayhill.

04:43What have we got here?

04:44Bruce out.

04:45That's not right.

04:46Doesn't sound as strong as it normally does.

04:51Bruce had still.

04:52What a brilliant ride Bruce was having in this race.

04:56And it looks like it's all come to a premature end.

04:59And now it's pit stop time.

05:02And number one is into it.

05:04Dave Johnson.

05:06Okay, there's our first man in the pits.

05:08There's Dave Johnson just going down with his pits.

05:10Up on the Norton.

05:17So, after lap two, our top three.

05:24And there is Michael Dunlop.

05:26The shock from the helicopter wheeling along.

05:30He's catching Dave Johnson on the Norton.

05:35Just back of gear at the end of Cronkley's body.

05:37But now we're changed and we're moving on board with Michael Dunlop.

05:40This is the 13th milestone.

05:42Nice line through there from Dave Johnson.

05:44Letting it drift out.

05:45It's the run up to Kirk Michael.

05:46Yeah, it is.

05:47And it's Michael that's got the slipstream on Davo as he pulls out to pass him under brakes.

05:52It's Kirk Michael.

05:53And now we see Josh Brooks as he heads out of Ramsey-Hampion.

05:57Now, what we've got here, Steve, is a battle between Josh Brooks and teammate Dave Johnson for sixth position.

06:05A lot of pride at stake there.

06:07Josh Brooks having a few years away from the TT, of course.

06:10Come back and he's really getting on it now.

06:12Look at the suspension travel moving there.

06:14Pumping as he goes up through Stellar-Mars.

06:16You watch it dip now.

06:17Hard on the brakes.

06:17Full compression up into the hairpin.

06:19Down to first gear.

06:20And it is just Brooks in front of Johnson there.

06:23Wow.

06:24By just on half a second.

06:25Now, of course, they're not only teammates.

06:27They're also countrymen.

06:28And Dunlop has stretched out a second on Hickman.

06:31So that time he lost in the pit stop, he's coming back again.

06:33And there's Davo running wide in the bungalow as he's trying to gush out his way past James Hillier.

06:38Now on board with Davo.

06:39Now, he can't afford to be held up at all here because he is in a battle for sixth position with teammate Brooksy.

06:45And Hillier's in his own battle also.

06:47Right, up the top hill.

06:48About to drop back down.

06:49What a shot that is from the helicopter.

06:51That is superb.

06:52That is an incredible angle, Steve, that I've never seen before.

06:56No, me either.

06:56But we're with Peter Hickman and we were following him.

06:58And that was through Keppel Gate and then Kate's Cottage.

07:01Hard on the brakes.

07:02Peter Hickman loves it through here.

07:03Slams the bike on its side through there.

07:05Dean Harrison behind him.

07:09Through into Kirk Michael again.

07:11So, we're shortly up to the halfway point of the final lap.

07:19Michael Dunlop, the young Balamuni man from Northern Ireland, has about six or seven miles now.

07:24The climb to the mountain and then the drop down the other side to get his 15th TT win.

07:28And here we have the leader, Michael Dunlop, number six.

07:32Bennett Suzuki gingerly through this little tricky bit.

07:36A governor's dip out onto the Glencrutchery road.

07:38And he's going to power the Suzuki to the finishing line.

07:42The first Suzuki win since 2008.

07:45And that was by the man sat next to me.

07:47Yeah, our time does fly.

07:48But this is fantastic to see Suzuki back on the top step at the Isle of Man.

07:53Land here, nobody's ever done with a brand spanking new motorbike, never turned the wheel, and they want a senior TT.
