00:00Flying Pizza was established in 1974 so we're talking about more than 50 years ago
00:06and to this local community means really a lot I mean as soon as I landed in Flying Pizza back in
00:142019 I soon realized that it wasn't just an ordering restaurant it was more of an institution
00:20to the local community as well. It's got a great history we're going back 1974 when Franco Pardini
00:27and Italian opened it and since then it has been the focus and in the talk of people for
00:36celebrities rich people and so on it always been a parade for people to come and show off
00:45their latest fashion their sporty cars at the front of the restaurant. From being a classical
00:52Italian to modern Italian as well we cover every taste by having the classic pizza and pasta that
00:58we can do so the lasagna the spaghetti bolognese and the the margarita pizza and all that but then we
01:03we do have something like a little bit more refined such as like the lobster thermidor we can do we can
01:09do like all kind of cuts of meat generation over generations the people of the local community
01:17around day has been coming here I used to come and dine here in the 1980s when I came to the UK we
01:23talk in 1986 and already was the talk of the town so that's when Adriano Piazzaroli was running the place
01:32which is very very very well known by the local community since then it's gone through a few changes in
01:41ownership and eventually the familia di Stefano Carlo decided to take over as he was a kind of attached
01:52to the to the restaurant in a in a way even though he's always been a great businessman he had there
01:58was a personal feeling to the place because he used to come here with his children we've always been
02:02sort of like a great ambassador of the Leeds United team and we we know the players singularly as well
02:09and as a team one of the celebs that we had in on site has been David Dickinson you all probably
02:15remember him from his famous tv show called bag and hunt the atmosphere in the rest was second to none
02:24the saturdays the friday the evenings were buzzing buzzing with life and so therefore we had for this
02:30reason we are grateful to the to the di Stefano for what they've done because we've invested a lot of
02:35moment and a lot a lot of money and commitments in in the area in occasion of his 50th birthday
02:43we we we have done a beautiful uh refurbishment of the place hopefully by delivering the correct
02:50service and keeping this relation with the local people alive will establish the legacy for more time to come
