00:00so what did you make of oakmont's resolve in the carnage we saw yesterday what can we anticipate

00:06in this round two friday hey ben that was a great question yesterday i mean the am wave alone just

00:12a couple hours after we got done they were five over par as far as their scoring average the pm

00:17wave was a little bit less it played about what i thought it was 11 guys finished under par

00:22yesterday i think it'll be around that same number today we've got some decent cloud cover

00:27some humidity like i said i think it's going to stay tacky for a little while today but some of

00:31these hole locations are what's really spicy if you could get through holes one two and three and

00:35even par you're going to feel pretty good about yourself i mean yesterday the second hole one of

00:39the shortest par fours on the golf course played third toughest big it's because of those pin

00:44positions and the severity of the greens you really got to pay attention to what's going on right now

00:48this mega group that went off the back with scotty and victor hovland which has been hot

00:53on the back nine they're going to head into one two and three brooks is headed into one two and

00:57three right now you're going to see some some really good theater there whereas the guys like

01:01rob and jordan who got beat up on the front nine this morning they're circling to the back and i think

01:06they'll do some scoring at the end of the day i think it's going to be right around the same number

01:11and we're looking at uh these afternoon guys really fighting a cut sweat right around six or seven

01:16that's going to be fun to watch too and like ben and i talk about like how fun the u.s open is where

01:21you can have a three or four shot lead just absolutely disappear after one hole here and

01:25continue to fight back we're taking a look at victor hovland right now minus four under on the

01:28day as well as sam burns at a minus four under on the day some of these guys can get hot today but

01:33the expectations for you keith right we have eight players right now under par if i ask you this

01:38question by the end of today is it going to be nine ten or eleven under par or let's just say three

01:43four or five people under par it's definitely going to be single digits donnie um i don't think five

01:50i i think that it's not the the weather and the wind there's no wind the weather again with all

01:55the cloud cover and the idea that the rain is coming in for tonight and into tomorrow i think

02:00the place won't be as as fiery as it could be so i i think there'll be somewhere between like

02:05six and nine guys left under par by the end of 36 holes i mean hey you know you got situations like

02:11jt today he's on the 12th hole the par five he's putting for birdie from 22 feet he walked off with

02:17seven double bogey you know four putts later and three of them from inside four feet i mean

02:22it can happen quick around here but i think one of the biggest stories coming out of today is and

02:27this week so far is brooks kepka he's clad in the in the gold and black today in honor of i guess the

02:33steelers the penguins or the pirates you take your pick but it's a strong move on his part and nike and

02:39he's making a strong move this week i mean he's been nowhere in major championships since he won in oak

02:44hill two years ago in 2023 i mean he's had one top 20 since then and it was the u.s open following

02:51that his last two major championships are missed cuts i mean this guy was the terminator in major

02:55championships especially tough setups like this it's nice to see him back people are fired up for it
