Guwahati: Around 1200 BSF jawans, deployed for Amarnath Yatra duty, refused to board a severely dilapidated train provided by the Railways. The train reportedly had broken windows, damaged doors, unusable toilets, and faulty electrical fittings.

After waiting for nearly four days, the jawans were finally allotted a replacement train. Following the incident, four railway officers have been suspended. The issue has raised serious questions about the treatment of security personnel on duty.
