Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh — A major tragedy was averted after a suspected sabotage attempt targeted the Bareilly-Tanakpur passenger train. Miscreants filled the railway track with stones and damaged the earthing line at two separate locations.
The alert loco pilot noticed the obstruction and immediately applied emergency brakes, bringing the train to a halt and preventing a potential disaster.
Railway authorities have launched an investigation, suspecting a deliberate conspiracy to derail the train. Security has been tightened in the area.
