00:03:25that the four hours, the four hours of the day of Gajipur is going to be taken from Gajipur.
00:03:30Why didn't it take so much time?
00:03:33But the knowledge that Santosh has covered in the Kaffilet,
00:03:37they gave the knowledge of the ground report.
00:03:40He told that the escort didn't get properly from Bihar police,
00:03:44which had to stop the Kaffilet for about one hour until Baksar's model town.
00:03:50And then the police, the Sillong police, has increased.
00:03:54And this knowledge to help the clear state of the Kaffilet,
00:04:01which took from the asylum of Gajipur.
00:04:03The Kaffilets' local police had to come from a different country.
00:04:08The police was still there and here I asked the Kaffilets.

00:04:15The university is also the one.

00:05:44These are exclusive pictures.
00:05:46We are talking about the Shilong Police team.
00:05:48We are talking about the Shilong Police team.
00:05:49We are talking about the Shilong Police team.
00:05:50Thank you for your support.
00:05:51We will come back to you for more details.
00:05:54So, cheating wife, supari killers and a murder.
00:05:57The sordid saga of Sonam Bevafar continues to unravel
00:06:01with shocking revelations coming to the fore.
00:06:03What began as a picture perfect wedding has now turned into a chilling crime scene.
00:06:07As the probe intensifies, police have uncovered a dark and deliberate murder conspiracy.
00:06:13It is known that wife Sonam allegedly colluded with her lover Raj Kushwaha,
00:06:17an employee at her father's factory and orchestrated Raja's murder while on honeymoon.
00:06:22Slain victim, Raja's autopsy report reveals that he suffered two sharp weapon wounds on his head
00:06:28and died due to excessive bleeding.
00:06:31Sonam has been arrested and taken into 72-hour transit remand approving Meghalaya police's request
00:06:37to take custody of the accused for further investigation.
00:06:40Meanwhile, her lover Raj along with other three supari killers allegedly hired for killing Raja
00:06:46have also been arrested and sent to 7-day transit remand.
00:06:49All the accused will now be taken to Shilong for further investigation.
00:07:19And India today exclusively spoke with Vaibhav Raghuvanshi, who is the victim Raja Raghuvanshi's brother.
00:07:35Let's listen in.
00:07:36Suha what the reaction was, when you knew that Sonam is from Uttar Pradesh and detained.
00:07:43The question of the question is that Sonam has been taken to the contract killers,
00:07:48the case of the serial killer killers.
00:07:50How are you seeing this case?
00:07:52What is it?
00:07:53The case of Sonam has been taken from 97% of the person.
00:07:58The case of Sonam has been taken from 90% of the police.
00:08:00foreign
00:08:30I would like to ask you, Raja has never said anything in this whole time, when he was gone to the temple in Assam,
00:08:38after that Shilong came, then he went to the Cherrapunji.
00:08:41Where do you have any problems in the relationship?
00:08:44You are not happy with Sonam?
00:08:46I went to a St. Aragabaran, he said.
00:08:50I was gleeing, it was four days on this day,
00:08:54but he was small, but he was also family with new lady,
00:08:59he gave me this message.
00:09:02So many people would tell me,
00:09:05he said, I need a ticket,
00:09:07sonam is a ticket.
00:09:09He said, oh, he's a cancer.
00:09:12He got cancelled by his house.
00:09:14foreign
00:09:28foreign
00:09:42I am going to talk to you about 50 km.
00:09:45So, the decision of Soura is going to go to Soura.
00:09:47Raja, can you tell me who has taken it? Why has taken it?
00:09:52We didn't have any questions.
00:09:54Raja's phone was closed.
00:09:56Raja's phone was closed for 22 days.
00:09:59Raja's phone was closed.
00:10:01My phone was closed.
00:10:03So, we will talk to Soura's phone.
00:10:05We will talk to Soura's phone.
00:10:07But I don't know why Soura's phone was closed.
00:10:10Why did we talk to Soura's phone?
00:10:12Because there is a nature problem.
00:10:14We were searching for the nature problem.
00:10:16I have been living for 11 days.
00:10:18And the government has been living for 16 days.
00:10:20So, we don't have any nature problems.
00:10:22Because we don't know the nature problem.
00:10:26The reality, which is worse than a nightmare,
00:10:28hit Uma Raghuanshi, who lost her son Raja Raghuanshi,
00:10:32just days after his wedding.
00:10:34His wife Sonam Raghuanshi is now in the transit custody of the Meghalaya police.
00:10:38More on this in our next report.
00:10:40The honeymoon that turned into a homicide.
00:10:49The mother of 26-year-old Raja Raghuanshi was allegedly orchestrated by his own wife
00:10:56in collusion with her lover.
00:10:58After undergoing medical tests, a court in Ghazipur granted Sonam's transit remand to Shillong police.
00:11:05And now, she will be produced before a court in Meghalaya's Shillong.
00:11:10If you look at the logical sequence of events last night, all these days, Sonam was underground.
00:11:20People also had gone underground.
00:11:22And yesterday, when the operation started, suddenly she surfaced.
00:11:27Sonam's parents, however, find it hard to believe that their daughter was the one who plotted this shocking murder.
00:11:35Sonam's brother claims that they convinced her to surrender and are still trying to understand what exactly happened.
00:11:43Sonam's father was on the hand.
00:11:44Sonam's son, we call the police."
00:11:48The police called and were commanded him to receive the child.
00:11:49What did they call him for?
00:11:50No, we could not ask him.
00:11:51What did he call him for?
00:11:52Meanwhile, a new video has now emerged from Raja Raghuwanshi's funeral.
00:12:08Before his arrest, Sonam's alleged lover, Raj Khushwaha, was seen at Raja's house,
00:12:14giving his shoulder to Sonam's grieving father.
00:12:17India Today has also accessed details of Raja Raghuwanshi's post-mortem report.
00:12:22The Topsy report reveals that he sustained two head injuries from a sharp cutting weapon.
00:12:28According to police, Sonam and her alleged lover, Raj Khushwaha,
00:12:32hired three contract killers to murder Raja Raghuwanshi in Meghalaya.
00:12:37So far, five suspects, including Raja's wife Sonam, have been nabbed by the Shillong police.
00:12:43With Aparamita Das in Shillong, Bureau Report, India Today.
00:12:47And now shifting focus, all Operation Sindhu delegations have concluded their trips.
00:12:55Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will meet members of seven multi-party delegations
00:12:59who travel to capitals of 33 countries across the world to convey India's stand following Operation Sindhu.
00:13:06According to sources, the members of the all-party delegations will meet Prime Minister today in the evening
00:13:10and will share their feedback.
00:13:12They will also submit a report which will potentially help in shaping India's counter-terrorism diplomacy.
00:13:18Among over 50 envoys, speeches by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Ovesi,
00:13:24SENA UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and DMK MP Kani Mori Karunanedi went viral on social media
00:13:30for their bold statements abroad.
00:13:32Sources also reveal that it was Prime Minister himself who proposed a meeting with Operation Sindhu
00:13:38Envoys, underscores his emphasis on national unity and also global diplomacy.
00:13:43This is not about India and Pakistan.
00:13:49This is about India and terrorism inflicted on India.
00:13:51So India will act against terror wherever it comes from.
00:13:54If it's coming from Pakistan, tough.
00:13:57They should deal with their own problems.
00:13:59And then they are going around, I understand, this delegation saying,
00:14:02oh, but we are also victims of terrorism.
00:14:04We have lost more lives of terrorism than India has and so on.
00:14:08The question we turn around and say is whose fault is that?
00:14:10As Hillary Clinton famously said 10 years ago, what did she say?
00:14:15You can't breed vipers in your backyard and expect it to bite only your neighbors.
00:14:19It's the old classic lesson of Dr. Frankenstein.
00:14:22You build a monster, it leaves your control.
00:14:24That's why they're now getting terrorist attacks by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.
00:14:28But who created the Taliban from which the Tehrik-e-Taliban broke off?
00:14:32We all know the answer to that.
00:14:34So let Pakistan look inside itself.
00:14:38Let it do some serious interior reflection before it goes around pleading innocents.
00:14:42You wanted to know about the national language.
00:14:46I think the national language of India is unity and diversity.
00:14:51And that is the message this delegation brings to the world.
00:14:56And I think that is the most important thing.
00:14:59So as we were coming here, we saw some flags and you all would know what those flags are.
00:15:05And I thought to myself, the IMF loan is coming handy.
00:15:11And I hope those who are giving them the IMF loans realize what it's being used for.
00:15:15So just two minutes ago, I just walked outside to check, have they left?
00:15:22And I was told, yes, they've gone.
00:15:24And while we Indians continue to be where we are, resolutely, strongly backing for our mother India.
00:15:31I think yesterday, the Pakistani army chief had gifted a photo to the Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
00:15:41President of Pakistan was there.
00:15:43The Speaker of National Assembly was there.
00:15:46And these stupid jokers, they want to compete with India.
00:15:50And we're now getting some breaking news regarding the Bengaluru Stampede tragedy.
00:16:17Bengaluru Top Corp has challenged the suspension order.
00:16:20The Corp has moved Central Administrative Tribunal.
00:16:24The Bengaluru Top Corp questions the legality of the suspension order.
00:16:28And remember, he was suspended for the killer stampede.
00:16:32So in connection with the Chinnaswami Stadium stampede case,
00:16:35suspended additional Commissioner of Police, Vikas Kumar,
00:16:39has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal, challenging the government's suspension order.
00:16:44That's the latest update that is coming in as far as the Bengaluru Stampede tragedy is concerned,
00:16:49in which 11 people were killed.
00:16:51Now, the Top Corp who was suspended over the tragedy has challenged the suspension order
00:16:57and has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal,
00:17:00questioning the legality of the order.
00:17:02My colleague Nagarjun is now joining us with more details on this.
00:17:11Nagarjun, could you give us more details about the petition that has been filed
00:17:14by the Top Corp challenging the suspension order?
00:17:19Vikas Kumar, Vikas, who was the additional Commissioner left,
00:17:22Bangalore City, was suspended along with other police just few days back.
00:17:27And now, Vikas Kumar, Vikas, has moved the court against the suspension order,
00:17:32challenging the government.
00:17:33And in the prayer and the whole details of the petition in this case,
00:17:36he says that the government hasn't even conducted a preliminary inquiry to suspend me.
00:17:42I've not done anything wrong.
00:17:43And there was hardly for the last time between the cup winning and the victory parade
00:17:50or the show that happened in Udansada and Chinaswami Stadium.
00:17:53And the police have been made a scapegoat.
00:17:56If I can quote him, in the petition, he says the order would highlight the fact that
00:18:01there was a lack of time to prepare for such a huge event.
00:18:05But it's eloquently silent on how the tragedy can be attributed to the IPS officer
00:18:10and other officers named.
00:18:11The order would also highlight that RCB and KSCA are the ones who went about tweeting
00:18:16about the celebrations and inviting the fans.
00:18:18So, it's clearly blaming the government, RCB and KSCA for the colossal tragedy happened
00:18:24and pointing out legality loopholes that the government hasn't even done a preliminary inquiry
00:18:29before suspension.
00:18:30All right, Nagarjun, thank you so much for getting us all those details.
00:18:33And now shifting focus.
00:18:39Vazahat Khan has been arrested by Kolkata police under charges of hate speech and hurting
00:18:44religious sentiments through social media posts.
00:18:47He is the man whose police complaint led to the arrest of social media influencer Sharmishta
00:18:51Panoli from Gurugram.
00:18:53He was on the run since June 1st and has now been arrested after a series of raids and multiple
00:18:58ignored summons.
00:19:00In the cases filed against Vazahat, he has been accused of using derogatory, inflammatory
00:19:05and sexually explicit language targeting Hindu deities, traditions and the community.
00:19:11A team of Assam police is also in Kolkata to arrest him.
00:19:14The BJP has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of shielding Vazahat Khan as
00:19:19Assam and Haryana police were closing in on him.
00:19:22The man whose police complaint led to the arrest of social media influencer and Pune law student
00:19:28Sharmishta Panoli has himself been arrested by Kolkata police this evening.
00:19:33Right now we are in front of Golgun police station in Kolkata and Vazahat Khan, who is
00:19:38the main complainant against Sharmishta Panoli, the social media influencer and Pune law student
00:19:44Sharmishta Panoli Khan was on the run since 1st June Sunday and Kolkata police from the
00:19:51Golgun police station, they have served three notices at the residence of Vazahat Khan.
00:19:57They conducted several raids at the residence at the Gardinich area, but he was not found
00:20:03at home.
00:20:04His father claimed that Vazahat Khan is not at home.
00:20:06He is still missing since the 1st June, but Kolkata police declared him as absconding
00:20:12and went to the court seeking arrest warrant.
00:20:14However, it was not approved by the court and then Kolkata police served third appearance
00:20:20notice at the residence of Vazahat Khan, instructing him to appear before the police station to be
00:20:26questioned in connection with the case registered against him.
00:20:29But Vazahat Khan remained absconding.
00:20:32In this case, he didn't cooperate with the Kolkata police, following which, following
00:20:36several series of raids, Vazahat Khan, the main complainant in Sharmishta Panoli case, has
00:20:41been arrested by Kolkata police this evening.
00:20:43With camera president Lison Lodh, this is Rajesh Shaha for India Today, Kolkata.
00:20:50Immigration protests in Los Angeles intensified.
00:20:53Trump has deployed 700 marines to stop the riots in LA.
00:20:57Rioters say that they are Trump's worst nightmare and riots and arson are going on on the streets
00:21:04of LA over immigration issue.
00:21:07Vehicles torched, rioters go on rampage and the situation is only worsening.
00:21:11With each passing day, the protests have intensified in Los Angeles.
00:21:15On the other hand, Donald Trump, US president, has deployed 700 marines to stop the riots.
00:21:21We are Donald Trump's worst nightmare.
00:21:29We're here.
00:21:30We're showing him.
00:21:31It's not, we're not rioters.
00:21:33We're not looters.
00:21:35We don't want the Gestapo in our neighborhood.
00:21:37All these people come here with love and all the people standing over there with hate.
00:21:42And we're just here to fight that.
00:21:44That's what we're here for.
00:21:45We're going to get our message more clear because I feel like people are starting to get the message
00:21:50kind of mixed up that we're here for violence.
00:21:52We're here to cause mayhem.
00:21:53But we're really here to get the message clear that we are really okay with the fact that people
00:21:59are just going into homes, basically kidnapping people.
00:22:03And India Today Global's Pranay Upadha is now joining us with more details.
00:22:07Pranay, the situation seems to be getting out of hand in LA.
00:22:10The protests are intensifying.
00:22:12Meanwhile, Donald Trump has deployed 700 marines.
00:22:16Give us more details on this.
00:22:19Absolutely right, Anjali.
00:22:20The situation remains critical and intense in Los Angeles area.
00:22:24Protesters, as per the latest information of the LAPD, which is the Los Angeles Police Department,
00:22:29the protesters in the crowd began throwing objects at the offices in Temple and area of Los Angeles.
00:22:36And especially the Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Union Station areas are worse impacted.
00:22:41And many metro stations have been closed.
00:22:43Many highways are closed.
00:22:45The situation remains tense.
00:22:47And therefore, the Trump administration has decided to further, you know,
00:22:51the deployment of federal agencies and the federal personals
00:22:55with the authorization of around 700 U.S. Marines.
00:22:59The U.S. Marine Northern Command has also confirmed this deployment.
00:23:02However, the Gavin Newsom administration in California has contested it
00:23:07and they said that this will create confusion.
00:23:10And this is the direct infringement of the state authorities.
00:23:13As far as the situation is concerned, this is a subsequent,
00:23:16this is a particularly fourth day of a tense situation in Los Angeles area
00:23:21after the raids by the U.S. enforcement of immigration control
00:23:25and customs in the United States against the illegal immigrants.
00:23:31This entire situation started on Friday last week with 118 immigrants
00:23:35who were arrested by the U.S. Customs and Enforcement Department.
00:23:42And therefore, after that, their writing started in Los Angeles.
00:23:46So the situation still is very tense in many areas.
00:23:49But the big question remains, Anjali,
00:23:51that why the U.S. administration is not being able to control this situation.
00:23:56Absolutely. Prane, thank you so much for getting us all those details.
00:23:59We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on this.
00:24:04And we're getting some breaking news regarding the Bengaluru stampede tragedy.
00:24:08Now, Bengaluru top cop has challenged the suspension order.
00:24:11India Today has access to ex-ACP's petition details.
00:24:15The plea states and calls the suspension disproportionate and premature action on the cops.
00:24:22It also states that the suspension order was mechanical.
00:24:26It was due to public pressure.
00:24:28The decision was taken due to public pressure.
00:24:31This is what the plea states.
00:24:32So, big update as far as the Bengaluru stampede tragedy is concerned.
00:24:36After the cops were suspended,
00:24:38the top cop has challenged the suspension order.
00:24:40And India Today has accessed the ex-ACP's petition details.
00:24:44My colleague Nagarjun is now joining us with more details on this.
00:24:48Nagarjun, some serious points that have been mentioned in the petition
00:24:51state that the decision was due to public pressure.
00:24:54And it was solely mechanical and also premature action on the cops.
00:25:00Well, from Vikas Kumar, Vikas, who's additional commissioner, who got suspended right now,
00:25:06has moved the CAT court, seeking justice against his suspension.
00:25:12In his petition, he mentions that he's been a state court.
00:25:15The police have been a state court.
00:25:16They had only 12 hours time to arrange for the whole victory parade or the event at Kina Fama Stadium.
00:25:24There was no preliminary inquiry done by the government.
00:25:27And the action is very premature and making police a state court in this whole issue
00:25:34and not taking certain assertive steps against RCB and KSBA is what the police say.
00:25:40RCB had tweeted that 7 o'clock in the morning on June 4th,
00:25:44they would be a victory parade without any consultation with the local officials and local police.
00:25:48And the Bangalore top cop tells the court that it is unjust and it's not right for the department
00:25:55and the government to remove him without a preliminary inquiry.
00:26:00All right, Nagarjun, thank you so much for getting us all those details on the petition
00:26:04of the Bengaluru top cop that has now challenged the suspension order.
00:26:18And we're now getting some breaking news regarding the Meghalia murder case.
00:26:32India today tracks killer wife Sonam from Ghazipur.
00:26:35Sonam in custody.
00:26:37Currently, she is in Patna.
00:26:38Now, cops will take Sonam to Kolkata from Patna
00:26:41and she will be taken at 3.55 p.m. to Kolkata.
00:26:45Cops to take Sonam to Guwahati and then eventually to Shillong.
00:26:50Meanwhile, husband Rathopsy has revealed some shocking details.
00:26:53Multiple sharp wounds were found on Raja's body.
00:26:59So, killer Sonam is in the police custody.
00:27:01She was picked up from Ghazipur
00:27:04and currently she is in Patna from where the cops will be taking Sonam
00:27:08to Kolkata from Patna at 3.55 p.m.
00:27:11My colleague Santosh Sharma is now joining us with more details on this.
00:27:16Santosh, at what time, in how much time can we expect Sonam
00:27:19to be taken from Patna to Kolkata
00:27:22and what lies next for her?
00:27:30Scheduled has been decided by the cops of the Shillong police,
00:27:34those who have taken Sonam Ragwanshi on the transit demand of 72 hours.
00:27:41From Patna to Kolkata, this flight is off at around 3.55 p.m.
00:27:48And after a late evening from Kolkata to Guwahati,
00:27:54next flight will be taken by the cops and Sonam will accompany them.
00:27:58And later on, the Shillong police will take Sonam Ragwanshi to the Shillong by road.
00:28:04So this is the scheduled of Sonam Ragwanshi,
00:28:08who is on the 72 hours transit demand with Shillong police.
00:28:12From last 12 in the midnight,
00:28:16Ghazipur district judge has given a 72 hours transit demand.
00:28:20And after that, from 6 hours regular traveling,
00:28:24in early morning at 6 a.m.,
00:28:26the team received a team reached the Patna local police station.
00:28:32And there they have stayed at that local police station.
00:28:37And when the schedule of the flight around 3.55 p.m. will come,
00:28:43they will proceed to the airport.
00:28:45So we can say, now the Sonam Ragwanshi along with the Shillong police
00:28:49is staying at Patna local police station, Salash Sharif.
00:28:53And later on, Sonam Ragwanshi will be taken to Kolkata.
00:28:59And then from Kolkata to Guwahati,
00:29:01the cops will take Sonam Ragwanshi to the Shillong.
00:29:05So this is the whole schedule.
00:29:07And during this travel of 6 hours from Ghazipur to Patna,
00:29:11we can say, we talked to the driver who was driving that taxi.
00:29:17He said that during this course of 6 hours journey,
00:29:21Sonam didn't utter much.
00:29:23She didn't take dinner.
00:29:26Even the Shillong police asked for the dinner
00:29:29or to take anything else,
00:29:30any fruit juice or anything what she wanted, biscuit.
00:29:34But she denied to take anything and she was shot, mom.
00:29:38She complained of a headache.
00:29:41And later on, we asked particularly that
00:29:43has Sonam taken her full sleep in the car.
00:29:49He denied the driver, said that
00:29:51I cannot say that she took a sleep.
00:29:56From the whole journey, from the whole way,
00:29:59she complained of the headache
00:30:00and she has not uttered a single word
00:30:03to the cops of the Shillong police
00:30:05who were accompanying Sonam Ragwanshi
00:30:08from Ghazipur to Patna
00:30:09in the midnight and in the early hours
00:30:12at 6 a.m.
00:30:13when the cops reached to the local police station of Patna.
00:30:16All right, Santosh, do stay with us.
00:30:19We'll come back to you for more updates.
00:30:21So, cheating, wife, supari killers and a murder.
00:30:25The sordid saga of Sonam Bevafa continues to unravel
00:30:28with shocking revelations coming to the fore.
00:30:31What began as a picture-perfect wedding
00:30:33has now turned into a chilling crime scene.
00:30:35Sonam has been arrested and taken into 72-hour transit
00:30:39remand by Meghalaya police.
00:30:41Shillong police will take Sonam from Patna to Kolkata.
00:30:44From Kolkata, Sonam will be taken to Guwahati
00:30:46and post that to Shillong.
00:30:48As the probe intensifies,
00:30:50police have uncovered a dark and deliberate murder conspiracy.
00:30:54It is known that wife Sonam allegedly colluded
00:30:56with lover Raj Kushwaha,
00:30:59an employee at her father's factory
00:31:01and orchestrated Raja's murder while on honeymoon.
00:31:05Slain victim Raja's autopsy report reveals
00:31:07he suffered two sharp weapon wounds on his head
00:31:10and died due to excessive bleeding.
00:31:12Meanwhile, her lover Raj along with other three supari killers
00:31:16allegedly hired for killing Raja
00:31:17have also been arrested and sent to 7-day transit remand.
00:31:21All the accused will now be taken to Shillong
00:31:23for further investigation.
00:31:42How many people are with Shillong police?
00:31:43What are you doing with Shillong police?
00:31:47How many people are Shillong police?
00:31:48Four people are.
00:31:49Four people.
00:31:50Four people are and this Sonam.
00:31:52Sonam has nothing to do with the road.
00:31:53No, there's no story.
00:31:55No.
00:31:57Is it a soup or not?
00:31:58No.
00:31:59I said, it's a soup or a soup.
00:32:00It's a soup.
00:32:01It's a soup.
00:32:02Okay.
00:32:02What did he do to eat?
00:32:04He told him to eat at night.
00:32:07He asked him to eat at night, or he asked him to eat at night.
00:32:10He asked him to eat at night.
00:32:11He asked him to eat at night.
00:32:12So what did he say?
00:32:13He didn't ask him to eat at night.
00:32:16So after this, he said that he asked him to eat at night.
00:32:23And there are some clothes.
00:32:25These people have documents and clothes.
00:32:29There are bags of Shilong Police.
00:32:32We are talking to him from age.
00:32:34What are these guys?
00:32:35We are talking to him about a lot.
00:32:38We don't have doubts.
00:32:40We are talking to him about this guy.
00:32:42But I'm listening to him that he is right.
00:32:45He is right.
00:32:46Like today, he is a king.
00:32:48But I've seen him today.
00:32:50He came to me.
00:32:52He was coming.
00:32:54He was a dead body.
00:32:56I was talking to him.
00:33:00and my colleague Santosh Sharma continues to stay with us.
00:33:11Santosh, from the time Sonam has been in the custody,
00:33:14has she made any new revelations or admission while being in the police custody?
00:33:18She didn't attack.
00:33:24She shot mom during the travel time from midnight to early morning in the 6 a.m. today.
00:33:31She didn't spoke a single word to the cops.
00:33:34Even cops also asked her for the food or anything else she wanted,
00:33:39but she denied everything and she kept quiet during the whole journey.
00:33:43And before that, Sonam was taken to the medical treatment also,
00:33:51for the medical examination also.
00:33:53There she was also the shot mom.
00:33:56So we can say she is not uttering a single word before the cops.
00:34:01Now the Shilong police is taking away Sonam Ragwanshi to the Shilong,
00:34:07and where other three accused will also be taken on the police custody remand.
00:34:17And after that, the cross-questioning will be taken.
00:34:19Then the whole revelation will come, how this case occurred, how Sonam Ragwanshi reached Gajipur,
00:34:26approximately 1300 kilometers away from the place of incident where Radha Ragwanshi was murdered.
00:34:32Why she chose Gajipur, how she reached Gajipur, and why she chose that dhaba of the tea stall at the Varanshi highway.
00:34:44So these are some questions which are still unanswered, and Shilong police have to get those answered for his investigation,
00:34:54for his charge sheet, for all the accused to be convicted.
00:34:59This is the basic requirement of the case, that the whole revelation should be done with the evidences,
00:35:05with what happened, how it happened, because both Raj Ragwanshi and Sonam were on a couple, were on honeymoon.
00:35:15And after a few days, all these three, her lover, and three super killers, accompanied them in Meghalaya.
00:35:24And later on, by the willing of Sonam Ragwanshi, the orchestrated a cold-blooded murder of Raj Ragwanshi,
00:35:32and he was murdered brutally, and then his body was thrown to the valley.
00:35:41And the body recovered from 17 days in Daur police and Meghalaya police.
00:35:46Both police were searching Sonam Ragwanshi.
00:35:50Primarily, they have doubt that Sonam Ragwanshi has also been murdered by some criminals, those who have looted.
00:35:57Even Sonam Ragwanshi told to the tea stall owner of Ghazipur that there was an incident of loot with her husband,
00:36:05and those criminals killed her husband, and from that day she is running.
00:36:11How she came to Ghazipur, what happened later on, she can't remember, she can't memorize.
00:36:18All right.
00:36:19So these are the things, these are the things which have to be, Meghalaya police have to connect for the better charge sheet,
00:36:27and for all the culprits, for all the victims to be punished by the court.
00:36:33All right, Santosh, thank you for getting us all those details.
00:36:35We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story that we're tracking.
00:36:39In fact, India Today exclusively spoke to Vipin Ragwanshi, who's victim, Radha Ragwanshi's brother.
00:36:44Let's listen in.
00:36:48Today, you had a reaction to your reaction when you were told that Sonam is detained from Uttar Pradesh.
00:36:54The question is, is that Sonam has been taken for the contract killers?
00:36:59How do you see this situation?
00:37:01How do you see this situation?
00:37:03What is the situation there?
00:37:04Yeah, my idea is that Sonam has zero hundred percent involved in the JTT.
00:37:09And in the foreign intelligence, one of my mind is the one who is the child who died.
00:37:17The child who died.
00:37:18It will become a affair.
00:37:19Although my niece also gave me a sonam, the peasant child, who died.
00:37:22foreign
00:37:40foreign
00:37:52you have any problem in the relationship?
00:37:54You are not happy, Sonam?
00:37:56Yes, when Raja Raghuwal was in the house,
00:37:59I had to say,
00:38:01I had to say,
00:38:03I had four days,
00:38:05I was still young,
00:38:07and I was still young,
00:38:09and I was still young,
00:38:11and I had to go home.
00:38:13So, what would you say?
00:38:15Four days, I had to go home.
00:38:17So, Sonam said,
00:38:19then,
00:38:23we had to go home,
00:38:26then we were repeating to
00:38:31which our students
00:38:34later,
00:38:36because the students
00:38:37do not whether they will be
00:38:40from their lives.
00:38:40So,
00:38:41they felllines
00:38:43from our children at last round,
00:38:46because,
00:38:47We have no idea.
00:38:49But Raja has told us that Shilong is about 50 km from Shilong.
00:38:55So, the decision of Shilong is about 50 km.
00:38:57Raja has told us about who and why?
00:39:00We have no idea.
00:39:04My phone was closed.
00:39:06My phone was closed.
00:39:09My phone was closed.
00:39:11My phone was closed.
00:39:13My phone was closed.
00:39:14My phone was closed.
00:39:16I didn't know how to do it.
00:39:19Why did Sonam do it well?
00:39:22That it was a natural problem.
00:39:24We were looking for natural problems.
00:39:26I lived for 11 days.
00:39:28I was living for Govin Raghuansi.
00:39:30We didn't have natural problems.
00:39:32We didn't know about natural problems.
00:39:38The reality, which is worse than a nightmare,
00:39:40hit Uma Raghuansi, who lost her son Raja Raghuansi,
00:39:43just days after his wedding.
00:39:45His wife Sonam Raghuansi is now in the transit custody of the Meghalaya police.
00:39:49More on this in our next report.
00:39:51The honeymoon that turned into a homicide.
00:39:57The mother of 26-year-old Raja Raghuansi was allegedly orchestrated by his own wife in collusion with her lover.
00:40:09After undergoing medical tests, a court in Ghazipur granted Sonam's transit remand to Shillong police.
00:40:16And now she will be produced before a court in Meghalaya's Shillong.
00:40:21If you look at the logical sequence of events last night, all these days Sonam was underground.
00:40:31People also had gone underground.
00:40:33And yesterday when the operation started, suddenly she surfaced.
00:40:39Sonam's parents, however, find it hard to believe that their daughter was the one who plotted this shocking murder.
00:40:47Sonam's brother claims that they convinced her to surrender and are still trying to understand what exactly happened.
00:40:55Sonam's phone came from the police. We had complained to her and had to receive her.
00:41:00What did they say?
00:41:01Did they ask her?
00:41:02No, we didn't ask her.
00:41:03No, we didn't ask her.
00:41:04Do you have any information about her?
00:41:06No, we don't know anything.
00:41:08I can't do anything.
00:41:10I can't do anything.
00:41:11I can't do anything.
00:41:12I can't do anything.
00:41:13I can't do anything.
00:41:15Meanwhile, a new video has now emerged from Raja Raghubanshi's funeral.
00:41:19Before his arrest, Sonam's alleged lover Raj Khushwaha was seen at Raja's house, giving his shoulder to Sonam's grieving father.
00:41:28India Today has also accessed details of Raja Raghubanshi's post-mortem report.
00:41:33The topsy report reveals that he sustained two head injuries from a sharp cutting weapon.
00:41:39According to police, Sonam and her alleged lover Raj Khushwaha hired three contract killers to murder Raja Raghubanshi in Meghalaya.
00:41:48So far, five suspects, including Raja's wife Sonam, have been nabbed by the Shillong police.
00:41:54With Aparamita Das in Shillong, Bureau Report, India Today.
00:42:02The brutal murder of Raja Raghubanshi has left the entire nation shocked.
00:42:06Grief, rage and rise in demands for a CBI probe define both sides of this heartbreaking family drama.
00:42:12The groom's mother just cannot believe the bride could be involved in the horrific crime.
00:42:17She says the bride spoke to her repeatedly from Meghalaya, but now says that her behavior was rather suspicious when she wouldn't let her son speak to her.
00:42:25Marriage, murder, agony and grief.
00:42:35And now, blame game.
00:42:36The mysterious death of Raja Raghubanshi, who was slaughtered during the honeymoon in Shillong, has left the country shocked.
00:42:46The police have arrested four, including his wife Sonam, for allegedly plotting to kill Raghubanshi with her lover.
00:42:55The police claim Sonam hired hitmen to murder Raja, who was killed while on honeymoon.
00:43:01Sonam allegedly fled to Shillong after the murder.
00:43:05She was arrested from Gazipun.
00:43:07In Indore, anger is boiling over.
00:43:11Raja's grieving family burned Sonam's posters outside a home, demanding swift justice.
00:43:18The agent was holding a child, and the average victim were the most that has driven the southern city.
00:43:21It was from help.
00:43:22The living of a child is huge.
00:43:24It is a small part of a child.
00:43:26It is a huge deal.
00:43:28She told me that she took a ticket on her house.
00:43:30And we are unable to go back in the back.
00:43:32But the mother told me that she took the ticket off.
00:43:34She told me, what you will do, she won't have ticket on her house.
00:43:36She thought I was going to go back in the other day.
00:43:38The mother told me that she didn't have a ticket on the house.
00:43:39She said, over 6-7 days.
00:43:41On the last day, she told me that I wasenfranchised around.
00:43:44His brother also claimed that she was in contact with Raj Khushwafa for work and may be involved.
00:43:51Sonam's parents say she is being framed.
00:44:14Her mother Sangeeta insists the allegations are false and is demanding a CBI probe.
00:44:20Our father Devi Singh is pointing fingers at the Meghalaya police.
00:44:50Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had earlier urged the centre to hand over the case to the CBI.
00:45:02The arrest of Sonam, an alleged hitman, marks a dramatic twist in the murder case.
00:45:08With Samarth Shivastava and Santosh Sharma, Bureau Report, India Today.
00:45:38A remark in which he claimed that the elections were rigged, to which Election Commission has now responded,
00:45:43saying that why has no formal complaint been registered by Rahul Gandhi and that he should follow process, not press notes.
00:45:50My colleague Aishwarya Paliwal is now joining us with more details, but the update that is coming in is that the tussle between Rahul Gandhi and the Election Commission of India is still ongoing.
00:46:04And in fact, it is raging on. The Election Commission has hit back strongly at Rahul Gandhi after Rahul Gandhi alleged that the elections in several states in the past year were rigged.
00:46:16He also talked about Maharashtra elections, particularly being rigged, to which Election Commission has now said that why has no formal complaint been filed by Rahul Gandhi.
00:46:27My colleague Aishwarya Paliwal is with us with more details on this.
00:46:31Aishwarya, the war of words between the Election Commission and Rahul Gandhi is only raging on.
00:46:35In fact, the Election Commission has hit back strongly asking that why has Rahul Gandhi not filed a complaint yet?
00:46:41Well, you know, this is what the Election Commission, not just from today, but over the past many days has been saying that we have seen Rahul Gandhi come out and make statements.
00:46:51The press conferences are being held, but when it comes to speaking a formal meeting, when it comes to speaking with the Election Commission, that is something that Rahul Gandhi has not done.
00:47:00So you need to follow the due process because there is a process in place.
00:47:03And with regards to the Election Commission, it's a constitution body.
00:47:06This constitution body actually cannot respond to press notes.
00:47:10We can only respond to a formal complaint if a formal complaint is being given out by the Congress party or even by Rahul Gandhi.
00:47:16Why that's not happening is the big question that the Election Commission is now asking Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.
00:47:22Right. Aishwarya, has there been any reaction from the Congress party to the questions that have been raised by the poll body?
00:47:29Well, Anjali, you know, what's really happening is shadow boxing. That's the best word to describe what's happening between the Election Commission and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.
00:47:39The Congress party president, Malikar Jungkhar, also took to Twitter that instead of writing a formal complaint, we are seeing press notes being issued and a shadow boxing taking place between the Election Commission and the Congress party.
00:47:50Congress party saying that they have proof that data manipulation has happened.
00:47:53Not just that, going a step further and saying that the same thing will happen even in Bihar.
00:47:58No reaction formally coming in from the Congress party.
00:48:01But yes, a war of course taking place and a war which is being fought on Twitter.
00:48:06Alright, Aishwarya, thank you so much for all those details and for that context.
00:48:10All Operation Sindhu delegations have concluded their trips.
00:48:13Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will meet members of seven multi-party delegations who travelled to capitals of 33 countries across the world to convey India's stand following Operation Sindhu.
00:48:24Now, according to sources, the members of the all-party delegations will meet Prime Minister today in the evening
00:48:29and will also share their feedback.
00:48:32They will also submit a report which will potentially help in shaping India's counter-terrorism diplomacy.
00:48:38Among over 50 envoys, speeches by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Ovesi,
00:48:44SENA UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and DMK MP Kani Murray went viral on social media for their bold statements abroad.
00:48:51Sources also revealed that it was Prime Minister Modi himself who proposed a meeting with the Operation Sindhu envoys,
00:48:58underscoring his emphasis on national unity and also global diplomacy.
00:49:03This is not about India and Pakistan. This is about India and terrorism inflicted on India.
00:49:09So India will act against terror wherever it comes from. If it's coming from Pakistan, tough.
00:49:14They should deal with their own problems. And then they are going around, I understand this delegation, saying,
00:49:19Oh, but we are also victims of terrorism. We have lost more lives of terrorism than India has and so on.
00:49:25The question we turn around and say, whose fault is that? As Hillary Clinton famously said 10 years ago,
00:49:31what did she say? You can't breed vipers in your backyard and expect it to bite only your neighbours.
00:49:36It's the old classic lesson of Dr. Frankenstein. You build a monster, it leaves your control.
00:49:42That's why they're now getting terrorist attacks by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
00:49:46But who created the Taliban from which the Tehreek-e-Taliban broke off? We all know the answer to that.
00:49:51So let Pakistan look inside itself. Let it do some serious interior reflection before it goes around pleading innocence.
00:50:00You wanted to know about the national language. I think the national language of India is unity in diversity.
00:50:08And that is the message this delegation brings to the world. And I think that is the most important thing.
00:50:17So as we were coming here, we saw some flags. And you all would know what those flags were.
00:50:22And I thought to myself, the IMF loan is coming handy. And I hope those who are giving them the IMF loans realize what it's being used for.
00:50:34So just two minutes ago, I just walked outside to check, have they left? And I was told, yes, they're gone.
00:50:41And while we Indians continue to be where we are, resolutely, strongly, backing for our mother India.
00:50:49I think yesterday, the Pakistani army chief had gifted a photo to the Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
00:50:58President of Pakistan was there. The Speaker of National Assembly was there. And these stupid jokers, they want to compete with India.
00:51:08They had given a photograph of a 2019 Chinese army drill claiming it's a victory over India.
00:51:18Now, this is this is what Pakistan indulges in. They cannot even give a proper photograph.
00:51:24So all Operation Envoys are back in India after the India's global outreach over Operation Sindhu, where they made some bold statements abroad over how India stands united on the issue of terrorism and how India won't tolerate any terrorism further and will give a befitting reply if we are attacked.
00:51:49My colleague Piyush Mishra is now joining us with more details on this. Piyush, at what time can we expect the envoys to meet Prime Minister Modi and what all can be expected?
00:51:58Well, Anjali, what we are now told is that this meeting will take place today later in the evening at around 7.30pm, where all the MPs who are part of various delegations who have gone to different parts of the world, they will be meeting with Narendra Modi.
00:52:11Marendra Modi, they are going to share their experience with Prime Minister about their visit to various countries.
00:52:18Remember that the last delegation which was, which is headed by Shishatour is also ending today at 2.45pm and today at 7.30pm this meeting will take place.
00:52:28Sources are also suggesting that Prime Minister Modi is likely to hold a dinner for all these MPs and we will also share, you know, we will also listen to, listen about their experiences.
00:52:39You would remember that these delegations, you know, have also been briefing Union External Affairs Minister Trestha Shankar and after that we are now told is that there will be a meeting with Prime Minister Modi today in the evening. Anjali.
00:52:50All right, Piyush, thank you so much for getting us all those details. We will keep coming back to you for more updates on this. As of now, we are shifting our focus.
00:52:59Vazahat Khan has been arrested by Kolkata police under charges of hate speech and hurting religious sentiments through social media posts.
00:53:06He is the man whose police complaint led to the arrest of social media influencer Sharmishta Panoli in Gurugram.
00:53:13He was on the run since June 1st and has now been arrested after a series of raids and multiple ignored summons.
00:53:19In the cases filed against Vazahat, he has been accused of using derogatory, inflammatory and sexually explicit language targeting Hindu deities, traditions and the community.
00:53:30A team of Assam police is also in Kolkata to arrest him. The BJP, meanwhile, has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerji of shielding Vazahat Khan as Assam and Haryana police were closing in on him.
00:53:42So, my colleague Rajesh is now joining us with more details on this. Rajesh, help us understand how did the hate complaint from Vazahat Boomerang? What remark was made by him?
00:54:00Well, Vazahat Khan is the same person who lodged a complaint against social media influencer Sharmishta Panoli at Garden Ridge Police Station on 15th of May, following which an affair was registered under Sharmishta Panoli who was arrested by the Kolkata police.
00:54:15But after the arrest of Sharmishta Panoli, several social media posts came out which were allegedly posted by this Vazahat Khan and he was also accused of spreading head speech and hurting sentiments of Hindu religion over his social media posts.
00:54:36And he was, and following which several complaints were lodged at different police stations in Kolkata, in Hawra, in Vidhan Nagar, not even in West Bengal, rather several complaints were registered with Assam police and Delhi police also.
00:54:51Following which Vazahat Khan was on the run since first June and he was absconding since last nine days.
00:55:01After registering the case, Kolkata police had served three notices at his residence in Kolkata, but he was not found at his residence in Kolkata during the raids, during a series of raids.
00:55:12Following which his father was asked to appear with his son at Golkata police station to be questioned.
00:55:21But Vazahat Khan neither didn't appear before the police nor cooperated with the investigation.
00:55:27And after a series of raids, Vazahat Khan has been arrested by the Detective Department Anti-Raudi Section of Kolkata police and Golkata police station.
00:55:36He started evening from a place in Kolkata and police sources are claiming he was, he was hiding himself at a residence office, one of his relatives in Kolkata.
00:55:46After getting a secret information from the sources, Kolkata police raided the residence last evening and raided and caught him from the relative's house.
00:55:55And he will be produced before the court today. Anjali.
00:55:59All right, Rajesh, thank you for getting us all those details.
00:56:03And with that, we're now shifting our focus to another story.
00:56:06A dream that took off from a small home in Lucknow is now headed to space.
00:56:12Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will soon become India's first astronaut to reach the International Space Station.
00:56:18Take a look at this report for more.
00:56:20Captain Shubhanshu Shukla
00:56:27Captain Shukla
00:56:28India's first captain to ISS
00:56:31Reads a poster outside a modest home in Lucknow.
00:56:35This is the house where dreams defied gravity.
00:56:41Where group captain Shubhanshu Shukla once studied, silently filled his NDA form and disappeared during his sister's wedding to write the exam that would script his destiny.
00:56:56The sister marriage was in the house and no one knows about, not even one person about this kid, this exam is tomorrow and he's going to do that.
00:57:06Next day morning when the vidai function was going on, each and everyone is screaming, crying.
00:57:11My father was furious at that time. Where is he?
00:57:15And after some time he was coming back rushing on the bicycle.
00:57:20Born and brought up in Lucknow, Shukla is set to become India's second astronaut to go into space.
00:57:28His mother still sees him as the same curious, innocent boy.
00:57:34His father Shubhanshu Shukla shares the moment of immense pride when Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented his son with the coveted astronaut wings.
00:58:03S. Prattan were talking about his son with the son with the son with the son with the son with the son with the son.
00:58:07And that's how we did it, that was very good.
00:58:11After that, they explained that we were providing a lot of kindness.
00:58:18The children are very spears and so they were great.
00:58:22In this particular narrow lane, there is a house of Indian astronaut.
00:58:26This is the lane, our typical moholla of Lucknow and from this space, from this area, a man can achieve success and the height of a success is not limited to the sky because it has touched the space now.
00:58:45From this very street in Lucknow to the stars, Shubhan Shushukla's journey will inspire more youngsters to dream big.
00:58:55With Samarth Srivastava, Bureau Report, India Today.
00:59:25Our fingers crossed that it's a minimum amount of time, but you can never really say with these kind of missions.
00:59:30For obvious reasons, all necessary steps, precautions need to be taken.
00:59:34Right now, what's playing spoilsport is the weather.
00:59:37You can see that it's bright and sunny, but don't be fooled by that.
00:59:39June 10th, there's about a 45% chance of rain, which is why SpaceX didn't want to take a chance.
00:59:45Add to that is the fact that there's also very heavy winds, atmospheric winds, which is why again, SpaceX has decided to push that launch.
00:59:52There are two timings being spoken of here, Wednesday morning, 8 a.m., roughly about 5 p.m. in India.
00:59:59And the second timing is Thursday, 7.37 a.m.
01:00:02It could be either on Wednesday or Thursday.
01:00:04It could be pushed beyond that as well, completely dependent on the weather and no other factor really.
01:00:09Because if you look at really preparations on ground, I was given my media accreditation badge just a few hours ago
01:00:16because it was clear Axiom, NASA, SpaceX were all ready to go.
01:00:19Technically, and as far as the mission protocol is concerned, everything was put in place.
01:00:23They were all ready for takeoff.
01:00:26But SpaceX has the final call, essentially, on whether we're ready for takeoff, climatic conditions, weather conditions.
01:00:31That's something SpaceX decides because launch, of course, is their area of expertise.
01:00:35It's what they're handling.
01:00:37But having said that, now there is a bit of uncertainty.
01:00:40But you can't be too careful in these kind of missions, especially considering it's a manned mission.
01:00:46There's no room for error, which is why right now all organizations, whether it's Axiom or NASA, are abiding by the decision taken by SpaceX.
01:00:56You know, interestingly, the first communication actually came from India, from ISRO, that there is a delay.
01:01:01And you had all of these foreign journalists here coming up to us, Indian journalists, and asking us,
01:01:04Is there any confirmation? Because SpaceX hadn't put it out just yet.
01:01:08But now you've got that detailed confirmation from SpaceX that here at the Kennedy Space Center,
01:01:12the launch will take place either Wednesday or Thursday.
01:01:15Will it get pushed further?
01:01:16Well, you can't really say.
01:01:18It depends on the weather gods, essentially, here in Florida.
01:01:21All right, Akshata Roo, stay with us.
01:01:25From the world of space, the launch of the Axiom 4 mission carrying out Indian astronaut Shibansha Shikla
01:01:31and three others to the International Space Station has been postponed to June 11 due to weather conditions.
01:01:37But with this liftoff, the four-member crew from four different nations will be taking a huge leap,
01:01:42not just in space technology, but also in space democratization.
01:01:48Here's a report for more.
01:01:51In a historic liftoff for commercial space exploration, the Axiom 4 mission is pushing boundaries,
01:02:02not just in space technology, but in who gets to fly.
01:02:10The Axiom 4 crew comprises four private astronauts, each representing a leap in space democratization.
01:02:17This time, it is not just professional astronauts or villainaires,
01:02:24but a mix of trained specialists and pioneers from multiple countries.
01:02:28The International Human Space Flight mission is helmed by veteran NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson
01:02:36and will launch from Florida's Kennedy Space Center.
01:02:39It will carry India's Group Captain Subhansha Shikla along with European Mission Specialists Slavos Vishnyaski and Tibor Kapu from Hungary for a 14-day expedition to the International Space Station.
01:02:52After taking off at 5.30 p.m. on 11th June, the mission will reach and dock at the International Space Station in the lower Earth orbit.
01:03:04The mission is expected to conduct at least 60 different space research experiments from various global institutions.
01:03:11The Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO, is spending 550 crore rupees in its collaboration with Axiom Space.
01:03:24Eight different research experiments by India are being carried out by Shikla in its time on the International Space Station from muscle regeneration to cyanobacteria growth.
01:03:35The Axiom 4 mission will be flying on SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft, with Shikla being the first Indian to ever pilot a Dragon.
01:03:44Having been used in 51 different space missions, Dragon is the first ever privately made spacecraft capable of carrying humans to and from the International Space Station.
01:03:57Bureau Report, India Today.
01:03:58And my colleague Akshita continues to stay with us.
01:04:04Akshita, though the mission has been delayed, but help us understand what is the mood of Captain Shubhanshu Shukla ahead of the mission and also the other astronauts?
01:04:15So the astronauts right now remain in quarantine, including group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla.
01:04:20Obviously, the longer quarantine now playing out because of the delay.
01:04:24But having said that, they're fully prepared for this kind of an eventuality.
01:04:28They would have been prepped mentally, physically, knowing that, look, there are a lot of factors, conditions at play on deciding a time and date of launch.
01:04:38So I'm sure that they're still as pumped, excited, maybe a tad nervous also about the mission.
01:04:43Remember, Captain Shukla's family, his wife and son, are also based here because he's been in quarantine.
01:04:49But very, very clear, clear conditions that are put in place right now.
01:04:52The astronauts cannot interact with anyone.
01:04:55They're most definitely not allowed to meet us journalists right now.
01:04:58But there is an elaborate event that's planned just before our takeoff where there's a handover, essentially, where the crew will come out.
01:05:05They'll get into a very symbolically Tesla cars to make their way to the spot of the launch.
01:05:10So we look forward to that.
01:05:11It was slated, in fact, to happen on June 10.
01:05:14So we were fully ready for it.
01:05:16But of course, it's been pushed to now.
01:05:18So we'll have to see what really happens.
01:05:20But fingers crossed that it happens by Wednesday.
01:05:23Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is facing backlash after publicly ordering a chief medical officer suspension at Goa Medical College and Hospital.
01:05:32Though he has apologised, doctors continue to protest demanding dignity, an end to VIP culture and also stronger safeguards in hospital.
01:05:42Here's a report for more on this.
01:05:43Doctors are up in arms against the public humiliation and suspension of a senior doctor at the Goa Medical College and Hospital.
01:06:02State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is now in a damage control mode.
01:06:07But doctors aren't backing down.
01:06:09I am telling you, you listen.
01:06:12Go home.
01:06:13As the MS, you please see that he doesn't, he's not here on duty today.
01:06:17Sending home just now.
01:06:19Don't open your mouth when I'm talking.
01:06:21The controversy erupted after Minister Rane publicly pulled up Dr. Rudresh Kutikar, the chief medical officer, during an unannounced visit,
01:06:30accusing the hospital authorities of denying treatment to patients.
01:06:33He allegedly ordered the doctor's suspension in front of staff members, a move that triggered massive uproar.
01:06:41I am suspending you.
01:06:42Trying to diffuse the tension, Chief Minister Pramodh Sawant stepped in and revoked the suspension of the chief medical officer.
01:06:50Facing backlash over his move, Rane said his emotions overtook his expression.
01:06:55I do agree that it was not appropriate in terms of the way I reacted at that moment.
01:07:01I could have called him and had a word with the doctor separately.
01:07:04And I have apologized to the doctor fraternity if I have hurt their sentiments.
01:07:07But once again, through your channel, ma'am, I would like to apologize once again to the doctor and his family if I have hurt his sentiment.
01:07:13The chief medical officer rejected the minister's apology.
01:07:17Meanwhile, the patient who the minister sought to help has spoken out, claiming she was denied.
01:07:47He was relieved of the treatment at the hospital.
01:07:48I would like to know the case that he had been saying that he had an emergency.
01:08:00He was so concerned with a非 stretnity.
01:08:02And the doctor was always saying that he was sick to other people.
01:08:04And there was no wonder about the hospital.
01:08:06What was the situation of the doctor doing?
01:08:07And the doctor said that he was disappointed.
01:08:08So he did not intend to have surgery.
01:08:10And this doctor stayed in the hospital.
01:08:11You were all alone.
01:08:12Doctors are warning of an indefinite strike if their demands for a public apology and
01:08:18end to VIP culture inside emergency wards aren't met.
01:08:22We have requested the deans to immediately pass an order which ends the VIP culture in
01:08:29this Goa which deeply condemns the act and any assaulter henceforth whoever comes forward
01:08:35and abuses or threatens any doctor will be put on no treatment list.
01:08:42The opposition is also demanding Rane's immediate sacking.
01:08:47We demand the Chief Minister of Goa to put a section of 504 on Vishwajit Rane.
01:08:55Use of abusive language which is 504 also for two years of imprisonment that also has to
01:09:01be charged on him.
01:09:06As the standoff continues, patient care hangs in balance.
01:09:09Bureau Report, India Today.
01:09:20Later in an interview with India Today, Rane expressed regret over the incident.
01:09:25There is a video of yours.
01:09:29Yeah.
01:09:30You are entering the hospital and a lot of people believe that the tone and the tenure
01:09:34that you used.
01:09:35That was not correct.
01:09:36Can you tell us what exactly happened?
01:09:39Actually what happened is I had gone to see a patient and generally what happens is always
01:09:42pressure on the system that people want a point of care to be excellent.
01:09:47I have been health minister for the last 13-14 years.
01:09:49I have always seen and transformed the health sector in the state of Goa and there was a
01:09:53press reporter who called me saying that his mother-in-law has not been given a particular
01:09:57injection because she was in a lot of pain.
01:09:58So unfortunately, a 77-year-old, and generally I am very particular about discipline.
01:10:04That outburst, I have already put it on my social media that it was inappropriate.
01:10:07I have no ego.
01:10:08I may have hurt his sentiment.
01:10:09But unfortunately, that provoked me the other day that a 77-year-old lady, ultimately I am
01:10:14here to serve the poor people.
01:10:16I am here to serve the people of the state of Goa and accountable to the people.
01:10:19I have always worked to see that the people don't go through the pain that I am going through
01:10:23with my mother suffering from cancer, who is a fourth-stage patient, who is also being
01:10:29basically, she is basically being treated by the doctors from the health services and
01:10:36saved her life also on a couple of occasions from the doctors of the health services.
01:10:40I do agree that it was not appropriate in terms of the way I reacted at that moment.
01:10:44I could have called him and had a word with the doctor separately, but it just happened.
01:10:48This video went viral and I apologize to the doctor fraternity if I have earned their sentiments,
01:10:52but discipline is something that needs to be maintained in the government hospital.
01:10:56But once again, through your channel, ma'am, I would like to apologize once again to the
01:11:00doctor and his family if I have hurt his sentiment.
01:11:02I have not even issued the process of suspension of the doctor, that was never going to be in
01:11:06my mind.
01:11:07So, when the Chief Minister called me up, there was never a question about me.
01:11:10I immediately told him that there is no file or anything moved in this direction.
01:11:14So, it's fine with me, whatever statement is being made.
01:11:16And I have already apologized to the medical fraternity if it has hurt their feelings.
01:11:19And with that, it's a wrap on this bulletin.
