Four people, including wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, have been detained in connection with the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case. Sonam was apprehended in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur and is alleged to have hired killers to murder her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. The couple went missing on May 23, and Raja's body was later found in a gorge. Meghalaya police, with NDRF assistance, conducted a major operation to solve the case.

00:00we'll kick start this edition with some news just coming in and this is murder most foul
00:10it's a honeymoon murder plot which was hatched across three states we're telling you about the
00:14honeymooning couple murder mystery of the victim here raja uttar pradesh madhya pradesh and mehalaya
00:22this is where all of these places where the murder was planned and executed the murder took place
00:28in mehalaya the conspiracy was hatched in indore two accused were caught from uttar pradesh one
00:33was arrested from lalitpur sonam surrendered in gazipur in uttar pradesh
00:40amritanshi joshi getting us more details in that story from bhopal and apra mita das joining us
00:51from shillong at this point in time coming to you fast uh apramita essentially the mehalaya
00:57government and the police have now said we did what we could but this was a murder in this entire
01:04case there were questions being raised about the safety of the state the safety of this location
01:09which is isolated but here the government is saying that this place is safe this was a murder
01:14which was a pre-planned conspiracy and hence there were no locals behind it as was being speculated
01:20earlier isn't it so this is an isolated case as you mentioned yes and uh locals after finding out
01:27what has actually happened to sonam ragu vanshi they are they are now furious because they had
01:32earlier also claimed that uh that mehalaya is a safe state because we have a lot of stories coming in
01:37every single day and one isolated uh incident cannot term mehalaya as a crime prone hill
01:43that's what some outlets had earlier declared so right after raja ragu vanshi and sonam ragu vanshi's
01:50missing case was registered mehalaya police turned also no turn no i mean immediately sir began this
01:57can you hear me hello yes continue yeah apramita i can hear you immediately they began the search
02:05and after uh raja ragu vanshi's body was recovered from the cliff the gorge that is near way saudong
02:12waterfall they they continued the search for sonam ragu vanshi they recovered a weapon and uh the sp
02:19had said that the weapon was purchased online and it was fairly new so a weapon that was not uh that is
02:26generally not used by the locals that was recovered from the site of murder and then the police continued
02:31to search for sonam ragu vanshi a few days later uh cctv footage was uh uh retrieved and there we found
02:40that uh sonam ragu vanshi was wearing a raincoat and the same raincoat resembled the one that the
02:46police had recovered from mockma that is in saura so these things are led to the police to question
02:53whether it was a case of homicide in fact in the very beginning the police said it was a case of
02:57homicide but they were not sure whether it was murder and after the a lot of investigation they
03:04found out that it was actually a murder that was done that's right and it's been planned for days
03:09together is what is clear isn't it amritanshi you know the girl was absconding for just so many days
03:15together 23rd of may is the last time that they had established contact with the family
03:21talk to us about how she called amritanshi her family from gazipur in up that call was made to
03:28endure and the family members then in fact called the police can you tell us a little more about what
03:34happened there uh so uh when raja ragu vanshi's bodies was found in the gorge after that sonam
03:44there were no traces of sonam so there was a manhunt for sonam uh in the other place near the gorge and
03:51all around the place in megalia and shilong but after that some of the traces like sonam's white
03:58shirt was found near the body of raja ragu vanshi her raincoat was found near the body of raja ragu vanshi
04:04and after that some cctv footages were clearly indicating that sonam was missing on and the audio also
04:10uh sonam around like 4 am in the morning uh today reached at a dhaba in the gazipur and she called
04:18uh her brother she took the phone of the dhaba owner and she video called her brother and told him
04:25that i am in gazipur right now because sonam's brother was in shilong he was also there to find
04:31sonam with the police and also the family were pressurizing police to find sonam as soon as possible
04:36because they were thinking that sonam was abducted by someone other after raja ragu vanshi's murder
04:41but she phone called him at 4 am today the brother of sonam ragu vanshi informed the indore police
04:48that sonam has called her and after that indore police informed the gazipur police that sonam is
04:54there at a dhaba in the gazipur uh then the police reached the gazipur and they said that sonam surrendered
05:01after that and right now sonam is at the one-stop center she is getting the medical treatments
05:06because we will come back to you in a moment from now in fact uh the victim's mother has spoken to

08:50Do you have no doubt about it in the show?
08:55Yes, it was so sweet that I can't get it in the show.
09:00You had a phone call on the phone. We had heard a phone call.
09:05Yes, I was talking good. I was talking good.
09:07I was talking good. I was talking good.
09:09Then I was talking about the Raja.
09:11I said, I'll talk a little bit.
09:13I'll talk a little bit.
09:14I'll talk a little bit.
09:15I'll talk a little bit.
09:17My name is Raja's phone.
09:19My friend is not prepared.
09:21They're saying that they cannot do it.
09:24She says that they can't do anything.
09:26But the police says that they have all proofs, chatting, call records.
09:30The location is done by all the police.
09:34But the house's family says that they don't do anything.
09:37He said that our children don't like this.
09:40It's not like this.
09:41There's a lot of girls.
09:43We are talking about this.
09:45We don't do it.
09:46My family doesn't do it.
09:47How did you do this for the society?
09:52Who did you do this for the society?
10:17. . . . .
10:47I am very surprised to see what I have done.
10:50What do you want to do?
10:52I will get a big deal of joy.
10:55If I have done it, I will get a big deal of joy.
10:57And after that, I will tell you all about it.
11:02I will tell you all about it.
11:04One question is that when you talked about it last time,
11:10when you were surprised that you didn't have a conversation with your son,
11:14I don't know what he was saying.
11:44We will have an interview with them, and we will have an interview with them, and we will have an interview with them.
11:49Do you have any interview with them?
11:51The U.P. Police has no interview with them. This work will be done by the police.
11:55Thank you, sir.
11:56You have listened to me about ADG Law and Order from Uttar Pradesh, and they are going to sit down here.
12:02But in that case, there is a big struggle for all the states' police.

12:11The cameraman Sandeer Rubai, Samarth Shavad.
12:15Santosh Sharma getting in more details on that story.
12:17Santosh, at this point in time, very little information really on the exact role of Sonam.
12:22Yeah, kia killers ko hire kia tha Sonam ne?

13:12Abul Sonam ne plan racha.
13:13Or wahan se raja ki hatiya ho jati hai, wahan per uski lash milti hai,
13:18lekin Sonam bach jati hai.

20:40panned across three states in the country,
20:42and that's the reason why we require some conclusive answers to,
20:46at the end of the day,
20:47how Raja Raghuvanshi was murdered,
20:50what is Sonam's role in all of this.
20:52I'm going to thank you,
20:52Santosh,
20:53getting in those details,
20:54Amritanshi Joshi,
20:55thanking you as well,
20:56joining in from Bhopal,
20:57and Aparamita Das,
20:58joining us from Shillong City at this point in time.
21:01We're shifting focus right now,
21:02let's take a look.
21:08The story is developing from Mumbai City.
21:13It's a killer train mishap near Mumbai.
21:16Five passengers have died after falling off from the train.
21:19Mishap between Mumra and Diva station in Thane.
21:23Five passengers fall off the Mumbai Lakhno Pushpak Express.
21:26Five passengers dead after falling from the train,
21:29says the CPRO railways,
21:31if this division.
21:32Incident between Mumra,
21:33Diva railway station,
21:35Central Railway has put out this information.
21:37This incident took place
21:38when the Pushpak Express
21:39and the Kassara local were passing.
21:42Mustafa Sheikh has more.
21:44Mustafa, what more?
21:44Can you tell us about
21:45how this horrific accident has taken place?
21:49What are the details at this point in time?
21:51Well, we know that
21:52the Mumbai Suburban railway trains
21:54are very crowded in the early hours
21:56when people travel towards offices from their homes.
22:00This is from the centre village,
22:02just on the outskirts of Thane.
22:04What we are reporting is that
22:06there is a train incident
22:07in which five people have been reported
22:09to be dead as of now.
22:11It's been said that there were two trains
22:13which were crossing one pushback express.
22:16The other was a local train
22:17going towards Kassara
22:18when this incident of five people
22:20falling on death and dying
22:21was reported.
22:23Ambulance and other medical services
22:25are being provided in the area.
22:27Due to this incident,
22:28the railway traffic on the centre
22:30is also affected as of now.
22:32But it's a big incident
22:33which is coming out.
22:35Most likely the reason for it
22:36is overcrowding during peak hours.
22:38But the centre is yet to issue
22:40some official statement
22:41as to how this incident has taken place,
22:43whether more people are injured
22:45in this incident or not.
22:47But it's a peak hour time in Mumbai
22:49on the local trains.
22:50And during this time,
22:51this incident has taken place
22:53of five people falling from trains
22:54and passing away back to you.
22:56Getting you all the details
22:57as far as 11 years
23:00of the Narendra Modi government
23:01is concerned.
23:02The Prime Minister
23:03has completed 11 years
23:05as the Prime Minister.
23:06That's Narendra Modi.
23:07And today marks the first anniversary
23:09of his historic third term,
23:11consecutive third term in office.
23:13To commemorate the moment,
23:14the BJP has launched
23:15a massive nationwide outreach campaign.
23:18The focus is on mass mobilisation
23:19at the local level.
23:21The BJP leaders
23:21scheduled to hold press conferences
23:23across the country.
23:24These would highlight
23:25governance milestones
23:26and parties' future agenda.
23:28Additionally, booklets summarising
23:30the Modi government's
23:31key achievements
23:31will be distributed.
23:33In just the first year
23:33of Modi 3.0,
23:34several key policy decisions
23:36have already shaped
23:37the national discourse.
23:39Operation Sindhu,
23:40launched in the aftermath
23:41of the Pahalgam terror attack,
23:42reinforced India's stance on terror.
23:45The WAF Amendment Act
23:46has been enacted,
23:47aiming to bring greater transparency
23:49to WAF property management.
23:51Looking ahead,
23:52Modi's third term
23:53is centred on
23:53transformative national goals.
23:54A top priority
23:55is to make India
23:56the world's third largest economy.
23:58There is a renewed push
24:00for the One Nation,
24:01One Election Bill
24:01that aims to synchronise
24:03national and state elections.
24:05Another major thrust
24:06is on both
24:07the Ringatma Nirvada
24:08and the defence sector,
24:09with focus on
24:10indigenous production
24:11and strategic self-reliance.
24:17Focus on mass mobilisation
24:19at the top level,
24:20at the local level.
24:21As far as the celebrations,
24:23a nationwide outreach campaign
24:25is concerned
24:25to commemorate 3.0.
24:28This is the third
24:28historic consecutive term
24:31in office of the Modi government,
24:33Narendra Modi,
24:34completing 11 years
24:35as the Prime Minister of India.
24:38Today marks the first anniversary
24:39of his historic third consecutive term
24:42in office.
24:43To commemorate this moment,
24:44the BJP has launched
24:45a massive nationwide outreach programme.
24:48Focus on mass mobilisation
24:49at the local level.
24:50BJP leaders are scheduled
24:52to hold press conferences
24:53across the country.
24:55These would highlight
24:55governance milestones
24:56and the party's future agenda.
24:58Additionally,
24:59booklets summarising
25:00the Modi government's achievements
25:01are going to be distributed.
25:04In the first year
25:04of Modi 3.0,
25:06several key policy decisions
25:07have been taken
25:09that have shaped
25:10the national discourse.
25:15Operation Sindhu
25:16launched in the aftermath
25:18of the Pahalgam terror attack,
25:19reinforcing India's stance
25:21on terror.
25:22The WAF Amendment Act
25:23has been enacted
25:24just in the last one year.
25:26Aishwarya Paliwal,
25:27getting in more details.
25:28Modi 3.0,
25:29several milestones
25:30have been achieved
25:31and they,
25:32importantly,
25:33Aishwarya,
25:34have shaped
25:34the national discourse.
25:35Only but obvious,
25:37the government
25:37would make an outreach programme
25:38talking about
25:39what it has done
25:40and what it intends to do.
25:42Tell us a little more
25:43about these outreach programmes.
25:44Well, you know,
25:49one of the things,
25:50Neha,
25:50that we will see pan
25:51over at least
25:51the next one week
25:52is that some of the top ministers,
25:54the chief ministers
25:55from the state,
25:56from BJP-ruled states,
25:57all of them
25:57will be holding
25:58press conferences
25:58and it's not just
26:00what they will be telling.
26:01In fact,
26:01door-to-door campaign
26:02is also something
26:03that the BJP is looking at
26:04to tell the citizens
26:05of the country
26:06what has happened
26:06first in the last one year
26:08and what has overall
26:09happened over the past
26:1011 years.
26:11The government
26:11very firmly believes
26:12that India is on the path
26:13to grow
26:14and has also told the world
26:15that terrorism is something
26:16that they will not be looking at.
26:18So those are the things
26:19which will clearly be
26:20spelled out for the people.
26:21What will happen next
26:22in the next coming
26:23two to three years?
26:24The big 2047,
26:26that's the push
26:27that we have seen
26:28the government
26:28making sure India
26:29becomes a developed nation.
26:30The path to that,
26:31what all the government
26:32will be doing
26:32in the next four years,
26:34that's also something
26:34that we will see panning out.
26:36Crucial press conferences
26:37will take place.
26:38The party president,
26:39JP Nader,
26:39will hold a press conference.
26:40It's not just him.
26:41Tomorrow we will see
26:42from north to south,
26:43east to west,
26:44top chief ministers
26:45and top union ministers
26:46holding press conferences
26:47across the country
26:48almost simultaneously.
26:50All right,
26:50I'm going to leave it
26:51for the moment,
26:51Ashwara,
26:52getting in those details
26:53and telling us
26:53about Modi 3.0
26:55government marking
26:56one year in office today.
26:59India Today's Rajdeep Sardasai
27:00spoke exclusively
27:01with one of NDA's key allies,
27:03Anandar Pradesh Chief Minister,
27:04Chandra Babu Naidu.
27:05In a candid conversation,
27:07Naidu spoke on a host of issues,
27:09including Operation Sindhur,
27:11One Nation,
27:11One Pole,
27:12Delimitation and the WAF Act.
27:14He's also,
27:14he praises on Prime Minister Modi,
27:17calling him the right leader
27:18at the right time.
27:19Listen into the examples.
27:20Do you believe
27:28that the Modi government's actions
27:29were right on spot?
27:33Or are you troubled
27:34by reports that we lost jets
27:36as some reports suggest
27:39the fact that the ceasefire
27:40with Pakistan was announced
27:41by U.S. President Donald Trump?
27:44Do you believe
27:44that Operation Sindhur
27:46is a feather in the cap
27:48of the Modi government?
27:53100% feather in the cap
27:57of Modi government.
27:59No other leader can do
28:02so perfectly with precision.
28:08Unfortunate incident,
28:10terrorist attacked our people.
28:14Before wives,
28:15they killed husbands.
28:19That is where Modi ji has created
28:21Sindhur.
28:24To fulfill the sentiments
28:26of Indian women,
28:29take revenge
28:30against those
28:32who committed
28:32that heinous crime.
28:35Then Operation Sindhur
28:37started.
28:38Within 20 minutes,
28:40they destroyed
28:42all terrorist pockets,
28:45not attacking civilians,
28:47not attacking defense.
28:51Then,
28:52right time,
28:54he ended the war.
28:56Is it not our credit?
28:59Is it not our
29:00shrewd decision?
29:02Anybody will think
29:03national interest.
29:05If prolonged war,
29:08who will lose?
29:08in a big game,
29:14this is where
29:16country-to-country war,
29:19you are pointing
29:20out small issues,
29:22who will control
29:23Trump?
29:25He will talk
29:26as he likes.
29:28But,
29:28at the same time,
29:30wisdom of
29:31Marendra Modi ji
29:32has prevailed.
29:34He has
29:34ended right time
29:36or otherwise,
29:37prolonged war,
29:39prolonged litigation,
29:41India will lose.
29:43As a senior politician,
29:44you told me very clearly,
29:45Yes.
29:46Any time,
29:48any litigation,
29:49both parties
29:50will suffer
29:51and also then,
29:53it will have
29:54a continuous bleeding.
29:54What would you
29:56then tell
29:56opposition leaders
29:57like Rahul Gandhi,
29:58sir,
29:59who are saying
29:59the Narendra Modi
30:00government surrendered
30:01to US pressure?
30:02Rahul Gandhi is saying
30:03that there are
30:04tough questions
30:05that need to be asked,
30:06including what he claims
30:07is the surrender
30:08to the United States
30:09pressure.
30:10No need to surrender
30:16to anybody.
30:18We are having
30:19our own strategies.
30:22We are very clear.
30:24That is where
30:25wisdom of
30:26Narendra Modi ji.
30:28Unnecessarily quarrel,
30:29we won't go.
30:30Anybody will come on us,
30:32we won't leave them.
30:34We are capable
30:35of protecting
30:36our nation.
30:37No need to have
30:38any recommendations,
30:39any support
30:40from anywhere.
30:41But globally,
30:43we are very clear
30:45we want to be friendly
30:47with all countries.
30:48That is where
30:49Narendra Modi's
30:50government is working.
30:52He is emerging
30:54as a tall personality
30:55globally.
30:57That is the pride
30:58of the nation.
30:59You've departed,
31:00Mr. Chief Minister,
31:01on the stand
31:01taken by the other
31:02southern chief ministers
31:04in particular
31:04on the national education
31:06policy and three language
31:07formula.
31:08You've called
31:09Hindi a national
31:10language that must
31:11be learned
31:11will help in
31:12better communication.
31:14Tamil Nadu's
31:14chief minister
31:15M.K.
31:15Stalin says
31:16Hindi is being
31:17imposed through
31:18the national
31:18education policy.
31:20Do you believe
31:20that this language
31:21debate also
31:22needs to be
31:23without sentiment?
31:24No, earlier education
31:34that is needs for
31:38the local community
31:40within the state.
31:43After that,
31:44those who educated,
31:46they were migrated
31:47because of lack
31:48of opportunities
31:49in India.
31:50English is where
31:54I told
31:54Bill Gates,
31:57first meeting,
32:00India is having
32:00two strengths.
32:03One is
32:03mathematics
32:05were very strong.
32:07Zero
32:07is innovated
32:08by Indian.
32:10Then second,
32:11British,
32:12while going,
32:14they took
32:14everything,
32:15including
32:15Kohinewur Diamond,
32:17they left
32:17English to us.
32:19These are all
32:20two deadly
32:20combinations
32:21for information
32:23technology today.
32:25Today,
32:27national level,
32:28Hyderabad people,
32:29South India,
32:30Hyderabad people
32:31are having more
32:31advantage in Delhi
32:32because of Hindi
32:34fluent speaking.
32:36Andhra
32:36and also
32:38our Karnataka
32:39and Tamil Nadu,
32:41Kerala,
32:41we are having
32:42disadvantage.
32:42Why can't
32:45we learn?
32:45People are
32:46learning now.
32:49Local language,
32:50mother tongue
32:51is a must.
32:52No compromise.
32:53Telugu,
32:53no compromise.
32:55Tamil also
32:56no compromise.
32:57Kannada
32:57also no compromise.
32:59Why can't
33:00you learn
33:00Hindi also
33:01to be fluent,
33:03to mingle
33:03with North Indians?
33:05That is
33:05a national level.
33:07We have to
33:08sentiment,
33:09we have to
33:09recognize
33:10national language.
33:11nothing wrong
33:13in it.
33:13Mr.
33:14Chief Minister,
33:15what about
33:15the Wakf
33:16Amendment Act
33:17that Parliament
33:17passed?
33:18Your party
33:18supported it
33:19in Parliament
33:20even though
33:21many of you
33:21including yourself
33:22and your supporters
33:23had some
33:24reservations.
33:25Do you feel
33:26that with
33:26your association
33:27with the
33:28Wakf Act,
33:28with the BJP,
33:30you will end up
33:31losing support
33:31among minorities,
33:32especially Muslims?
33:33Is that a fear
33:34you have?
33:35Do you believe
33:36this Wakf Amendment
33:36Act is good
33:37for Muslims
33:38or will it
33:39work against
33:39the interests
33:40of the community?
33:44No,
33:45from the beginning
33:46you are aware
33:48Telugu Jaisam
33:50is for all
33:51religions
33:52and communities,
33:55even for Muslims.
33:57Urdu,
33:58I made it
33:58second language
33:59in 13 districts
34:01in a combined
34:02Antara state.
34:04Work office
34:06work board house
34:11I created
34:12long back
34:13and also
34:14so many programs
34:16even
34:17Imam,
34:19Muslim,
34:20we are giving
34:21honorarium.
34:23Now issue
34:24is here
34:24to protect
34:26work board
34:28properties
34:29long back
34:30we got survey
34:31and we have
34:32updated.
34:33Now we will
34:34update further.
34:35All these
34:36properties
34:36have to go
34:38for the welfare
34:39of the minorities.
34:41Nothing wrong
34:41in it.
34:42First of all
34:43we have to
34:43protect
34:43the dividend
34:45and also
34:46that infrastructure
34:47has to be
34:48utilized
34:48for the welfare
34:49of the
34:49or for the
34:51upliftment
34:52of economic
34:52activity
34:53of Muslims.
34:54That we are
34:55planning successfully
34:56we will do
34:57that.
34:57Because your
34:58government also
34:59gives 4%
34:59reservations
35:00for Muslims
35:01in Andhra.
35:02The center
35:02doesn't but
35:03your government
35:03does.
35:03So you will
35:04continue yourself
35:05to ensure
35:07that minorities
35:07interests are
35:08protected.
35:09Yes,
35:10we will continue.
35:11And you do
35:12not believe
35:12that the
35:13work act
35:13is anti-minority?
35:20No,
35:21it will
35:21if you use
35:22properly
35:22it will be
35:23pro-Muslims
35:25minority activity.
35:26Okay.
35:28And with
35:28elections looming
35:29Home Minister
35:29Ramachar is
35:30back in
35:30Tamil Nadu
35:31firing fresh
35:32political salvos
35:32at the ruling
35:33DMK and
35:34setting the
35:34stage for
35:35what promises
35:36to be a
35:37heated
35:372026
35:38poll battle.
35:38with the
36:00Tamil Nadu
36:01polls fast
36:01approaching,
36:02Union Home
36:03Minister Amit
36:03Shah is in
36:04Tamil Nadu
36:05for the
36:05second time
36:06since April.
36:08In a fiery
36:09speech,
36:09Amit Shah
36:10vowed NDA
36:11victory in
36:11Tamil Nadu
36:12in 2026.
36:14Shah said,
36:15the people of
36:15Tamil Nadu
36:16have had
36:16enough of
36:17DMK's
36:17corruption
36:18and are set
36:19to uproot
36:19DMK from
36:20power.
36:20I am not going to be DMK.
36:50Shah blamed the Tamil Nadu government for growing communal tensions and spurious liquor deaths.
37:02Shah also attacked the Stalin government for what he called a complete failure to deliver on key pole promises.
37:20The DMK, meanwhile, has dismissed Shah's remarks as a standard political playbook in every state.
37:29The Stalin-led party has accused the BJP of doing little for the people of Tamil Nadu
37:34and asserted that strong pro-incumbency sentiment would work in the DMK's favour.
37:41When they have not done anything for the state of Tamil Nadu,
37:44when they have betrayed the interests of the people of Tamil Nadu,
37:48how can they hope to come here, especially with regard to the DMK party,
37:53which is again clueless and rudderless.
37:57amidst the political fervour, Amit Shah couldn't help but crack a smile
38:00as the crowd erupted enthusiastically for former Tamil Nadu BJP president Kaya Namalai,
38:06who clearly remains a crowd favourite.
38:10Our pure wadyaks, Kaya Namalai ji.
38:18Earlier in the day, Home Minister Shah also offered prayers at the revered Meenakshi temple in Madurai,
38:32where he was warmly received by the Madurai Aadhinam pontiff,
38:36blending politics with cultural outreach.
38:38Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nagendran claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah would carry out a silent operation
38:45to bring down the MK Stalin-led government in the 2026 assembly polls.
38:50Amit Shah's visit signals the BJP's growing focus on Tamil Nadu.
39:13And with just over a year to go for the next big battle,
39:17the political temperature in the state is already on the boil.
39:22Pure Report, India Today.
39:24All right, it's time for a quick break here, but we're leaving you with this.
39:30The world's biggest container ship, MSC,
39:33docked at the Vishinjam International Seaport in Kerala,
39:38marking a milestone moment for India's newest deepwater port.
39:42The vessel's arrival is the first time a container ship of this size has arrived at an Indian port.
39:48It puts Vishinjam firmly on the global shipping map,
39:52built to carry 24,346 EU's 20-foot equivalent units.
39:59This holds the record for the highest container capacity in the world.
40:03The port operated by Adani Ports is India's first mega trans-shipment container terminal.
40:09It sits just 10 nautical miles off of one of the busiest east-west shipping lanes
40:14connecting Europe, the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia and the Far East.
40:18The location at the center of the Indian coastline
40:21and close to key trade routes is what gives it an edge over other Indian ports.
40:33And we have more news coming in.
40:35U.S. President Donald Trump vowing a crackdown on the rioters from L.A.
40:39Trump has said, arrest rioters with face masks.
40:43Won't let these thugs get away.
40:45The spit we hit.
40:46Ugly riots in arson, rather seen on the streets of L.A.
40:50In the U.S., Trump has deployed Nafru guard troops.
40:53Trump has spoken about the fact that there will be in-fight action taken against those guilty.
41:00Troops and protesters clash on the streets.
41:04Immigration protests also turning violent in the U.S.
41:08American President Donald Trump vowing a crackdown on the rioters in L.A.
41:19Arrested rioters with face masks.
41:22Won't let these thugs get away, says Donald Trump.
41:25The spit we hit.
41:26This has got to do with tensions that have broken out and protests also that have broken out.
41:30Arson and Racine on the streets of L.A.
41:33Deploying the National Guard here, National Guard troops rather, is Donald Trump.
41:39Rioters and protesters also are clashing.
41:42In fact, on the streets, immigration protests have turned violent in L.A.
41:48Right now, coming in from L.A., where the protests turned completely violent and law enforcement agencies are there.
42:01U.S. President Donald Trump has said there will be the strictest action possible as far as these rioters in L.A. are concerned.
42:09That's what Donald Trump has said.
42:11Cars and fire, freeways have been blocked.
42:15L.A. breaking out in protest.
42:17All right, the spit we hit, says Donald Trump.
42:47Pranay is with us.
42:48Pranay, these are rioters who have been spitting, I understand, on the flags, American flags, really,
42:53while chanting slogans and abusing, using cuss words against the president as well.
42:57And things have been going out of hand for quite a few days now.
43:01I understand this has been going on for almost three days.
43:03Absolutely right, Sneha.
43:07And let me give you a fresh update, because entire downtown Los Angeles has been made, you know, out of bound.
43:14And as far as the unlawful assembly is concerned, because a lot of people have gathered in downtown Los Angeles and a protest march is moving towards the federal buildings.
43:27And rioting and arsoning is still underway as far as the freeway is concerned.
43:32Two of the freeways in Los Angeles City are being, you know, taken over by these protesters.
43:38They are hitting at the vehicles.
43:39They are hitting at the police vehicles.
43:41They are hitting at there have been confrontation between the National Guard personnel and these protesters.
43:47And the visuals we are showing, this clearly shows that a lawlessness is there.
43:50However, this is also a case of confrontation between the California administration and the federal administration of Donald Trump.
43:57Because Gavin Newsom, who is the governor of California, he clearly said that this is an inflammatory step by placing a National Guard there.
44:07But the situation, as far as President Donald Trump's assessment is concerned, this is totally unacceptable as far as the federal laws are concerned.
44:16And therefore, he has authorized the placement of deployment of around 2,000 National Guards there.
44:20Also, just a while ago, President Donald Trump has also made a social media post saying that he is authorizing the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and as well as the Attorney General of the United States to take appropriate action against these rioters.
44:35And this will also strengthen President Donald Trump's action in terms of illegal immigrants because he has been saying that these illegal immigrants are basically criminals.
44:44And he is bound to throw them out, to deport them out of the United States.
44:49Well, absolutely. I'm going to leave it at that for the moment.
44:52And we'll keep coming back to you for more on that because the situation right now continues to be tense in L.A.,
44:58where Los Angeles is witnessing widespread protests after U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement agents carrying out high-profile immigration raids across the city.
45:07Protests turned violent after the U.S. President deployed around 2,000 National Guard troops to control this unrest.
45:14Protests went on a complete rampage, setting vehicles on fire, blocking roads and highways.
45:19Los Angeles Police Department responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. Several agitators were arrested.
45:26Police have used baton in an effort to restore law and order.
45:30The U.S. President issued a stern warning to the protesters, saying that those attacking the peace of the country are a danger to society and will face serious consequences.
45:39What we're seeing in L.A. is chaos caused by the administration.
45:47People should exercise their right to protest. That's their First Amendment right.
45:51But people should also exercise that right peacefully. We're working with officials. We're organizing resources.
46:00When you raid Home Depot and workplaces, when you tear parents and children apart,
46:05And when you run armored caravans through our streets, you cause fear and you cause panic.
46:12And deploying federalized troops is a dangerous escalation.
46:16But we need to be real about this. This is about another agenda.
46:21It's not about public safety. There's clearly no plan and there is clearly no policy.
46:26And India is poised to make a historic return to space.
46:30After a gap of 41 years, Israel's Shubhanshu Shukla is all set to pilot the Axiom 4 mission to the International Space Station.
46:40That's tomorrow.
46:41Back in his hometown, Shukla's family is praying for a successful mission,
46:44as it will make him the second Indian astronaut to fly into space since Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma's 1984 mission, 41 years ago.
46:53He will also become the first Indian to visit the International Space Station.
46:58During launch and docking, he will assist with spacecraft operations.
47:02Shukla, along with three other astronauts, will lift off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida
47:07and are expected to dock with the ISS in approximately 28 hours.
47:13Together, the crew will conduct more than 60 scientific experiments over 14 days.
47:17This mission is a joint venture between Axiom Space, NASA, ISTRO and the European Space Station stays.
47:24Shukla, along with three other astronauts, is the first time of the International Space Station to the International Space Station to the International Space Station.
47:54From the Indian Space Research Organization,
48:21AX-4 pilot, Shubanshu Shukla.
48:24Namaste. I'm Group Captain Shubanshu Shukla.
48:28A fighter pilot for 15 years,
48:30he was selected as one of four Indian astronauts in 2020.
48:34Captain Shukla, are you ready for the ride?
48:37Will you do some yoga in space like your idol Rakesh Sharma did in 1984?
48:45The first Indian astronaut, Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma,
48:48traveled to space in 1984.
48:50I grew up reading about him in textbooks and listening to his stories from space.
48:55I was deeply, deeply impressed by him.
48:59This journey that I'm on, it has been a long one for me.
49:03And it started out somewhere, I didn't know that this is the path it is going to finally take.
49:09I would say that I have been extremely fortunate and extremely lucky
49:13to have gotten the opportunities to first fly all my life, which was a dream job for me,
49:18and then have the opportunity to apply to the astronaut corps.
49:23And now, consequently, be here.
49:26The way this worked out for me was that probably a week before we arrived at Axiom
49:35was the time I came to know that I'll be going.
49:37I was extremely excited to be here.
49:39I was very, very happy because this was a possibility for me to actually fly to space.
49:48You don't know how to respond to such things.
49:50Shooks his wisdom.
49:51The knowledge that he possesses, he could be 130 years old.
49:56For me, having him as my pilot in the Dragon capsule is great.
50:00He already has that operational savvy.
50:03You know, he's just wicked smart when it comes to spacecraft technologies.
50:06He is very focused and he will basically go one, two, three, four in a record time.
50:13I don't even know how he gets there so fast.
50:16The team that I'm flying with on this mission, it is fantastic.
50:20I do feel that, you know, I have exceptional crewmates.
50:23I will have these crew members for this one flight.
50:26But post this mission, these are going to be my friends for life.
50:30It has been an amazing journey.
50:32These are moments that really tell you that you are getting to be a part of something that is much larger than yourself.
50:38I can only say how extremely fortunate I am to be a part of this.
50:42It is my sincere endeavour through my mission to inspire an entire generation back home in the country.
50:48I want to use this opportunity to ignite curiosity among kids.
50:52Even if this story, my story is able to change one life, it would be a huge success for me.
50:57I am Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla and I am the mission pilot for Axi-4 mission.
51:01Adioshu Shubhanshu Shubhanshu Shukla and I am the CEO and I am the CEO of Asi-4 in Sky-5.
