00:30On April 5, 2025, the world was shaken by a story that made people across the globe
00:50cry from helplessness and rage. In the small town of Cold Springs, Nevada, a five-year-old
00:56girl died. But this wasn't just a death. This was murder, stretched out over years. Murder
01:03committed by those who should have protected her more than anyone else. Murder that dozens
01:08of people witnessed, but no one could stop. This little princess, who loved the color pink
01:14and dreamed of just dancing, spent the last years of her short life in a hell that wouldn't
01:19even appear in the worst nightmares. She was forced to sleep in a cage like an animal.
01:25She was starved while her brothers and sisters ate their fill. She was beaten half to death,
01:30and then they refused to treat her. And all this time, the system created to protect children
01:36turned its back on her.
01:38Today I'm going to tell you the story of Isabella Loving, a girl who became a symbol of what happens
01:44when we all fail in humanity's most important mission, protecting our children.
01:49Friends, before we dive into this tragic story, write in the comments what time it is and what
01:55city you're watching from. This story needs to be heard around the world, and your responses
02:00will help me understand how far little Isabella's voice can reach. Subscribe to the channel right
02:07now, because stories like these must never be forgotten, and you shouldn't miss a single
02:12investigation about those who cannot speak for themselves. On July 5, 2019, an angel came into
02:20the world. Isabella Marie Loving was born with sky-colored eyes and a smile that could melt an icy
02:26heart. She was the third daughter in a family that outwardly seemed like a well-off middle-class
02:32American family. The little princess loved everything pink, danced to any music, and could spend hours
02:38painting with colors in the bathtub, turning bath time into a celebration of colors and laughter.
02:45The first photos of Isabella show a happy, chubby baby with a radiant smile. The family's former
02:51nanny, who cared for the children in those blessed days, later sobbed while remembering,
02:57She was so happy, so healthy, so loved. Back then they treated her exactly the same as the other
03:03children. She was just a normal, joyful child who deserved all the love in the world.
03:09But in the Loving family home on Crystal Canyon Boulevard lived a dark secret that would turn this
03:15angel's life into pure hell. Nicholas Loving, the 35-year-old father of the family, already had a child's
03:22blood on his hands. In 2014, this monster was convicted of abusing Andrea's two-year-old son from her
03:29previous relationship, the same child who would later become Isabella's older brother.
03:35The details of that crime still chill the blood. Nicholas bit the two-year-old boy on the shoulder
03:41with such force that he left deep teeth marks on the tender child's skin. But that was only the
03:47beginning of his sadism. He grabbed the child by the arm and jerked with such cruelty that he broke his
03:53bone, causing a spiral fracture, an injury that causes excruciating pain and requires long-term
04:00treatment. When police asked this sadist about his motives, he answered with frightening indifference.
04:07I didn't want to hurt the child, but yes, I agree that I broke his arm because I lost my temper with a
04:13two-year-old. Imagine an adult man who loses his temper with a defenseless baby and breaks his bones.
04:20Judge Elliot Sattler initially sentenced Nicholas to eight years in prison, but then made a decision
04:27that ultimately cost Isabella her life. He suspended the prison sentence and gave this monster only five
04:34years of probation. The reason? Nicholas seemed remorseful and had a job. Five years of probation
04:41for breaking a two-year-old child's arm and leaving bite marks on his body. But the most shocking thing
04:48about this story was Andrea's behavior. The mother, who should have protected her child at any cost,
04:54instead begged the court to spare the man who had crippled her son. She didn't just forgive
04:59Nicholas, she married him and bore him four more children, including Isabella. This woman
05:05consciously brought a sadist into her home, knowing he was capable of maiming a child, and gave him
05:11access to new victims. The turning point in Isabella's life came with the birth of her younger
05:17brother in 2021. Nicholas finally got the long-awaited son, and that's when the attitude toward Isabella
05:24began to change at a frightening speed. The family fired the nanny who might have noticed what was
05:30happening, and Andrea became a housewife, gaining complete power over the children without outside
05:36supervision. What happened next can only be described as the slow, sadistic destruction of a child's soul.
05:44Photos from that period tell the story of a transformation that breaks the heart of anyone
05:49who sees them. A happy, chubby baby transforms into a frightened, emaciated child with eyes full of
05:56horror. By age three, Isabella began to look like a little skeleton compared to her well-fed,
06:02healthy brothers and sisters. Her face was constantly decorated with bruises, cuts, and scrapes,
06:09which her parents cynically explained as the child's clumsiness. Her once thick hair became thin and
06:15short, possibly falling out from constant stress and malnutrition, or possibly deliberately cut as a
06:22form of humiliation and control. Isabella's clothing became another tool of humiliation. While her
06:28brothers and sisters wore new, clean outfits, the girl was dressed in dirty, worn clothes that were either
06:35too big or too small for her. Every detail of her appearance screamed that this child was unloved,
06:41unvalued, not considered worthy of basic human needs. Ashley Viney, a therapist and aunt of Andrea's
06:49oldest son, who regularly saw the family, witnessed this horrifying transformation. Isabella was such a
06:56beautiful, smart, and smiling little girl, she remembered with tears in her eyes. But starting
07:03around age three, I saw the light in her eyes gradually fade. With each meeting, she looked more
07:09and more frightened, more and more broken. By the end, she was afraid to even look up at adults.
07:16Isabella's living conditions in the house turned into a real hell on earth. While her brothers and
07:22sisters slept in cozy double beds with soft mattresses and beautiful bedding, the girl was
07:27forced to sleep on a thin child's mattress thrown directly on the cold floor. But even this wasn't
07:33the limit of her parents' sadism. Nicholas and Andrea created what can only be called a human cage in the
07:40children's room, a homemade structure five feet by five feet with a lock, where they placed Isabella as
07:47punishment. Imagine the horror of a five-year-old child locked in a dark, cramped space, barely bigger
07:53than a large doghouse, listening to the sounds of normal life beyond the walls of her prison.
08:00Nicholas later confessed to detectives with disgusting indifference.
08:04Yes, we kept Isabella in this cubby as punishment. I locked her in there when she misbehaved,
08:10but usually Andrea did it. Andrea told how she locked the girl in the cage for such crimes as
08:16stealing candy from her parents' bedroom. Think about this, a five-year-old child was locked in
08:22a cage for taking a piece of candy. Isabella's isolation from the outside world was total and
08:28methodical. Her parents systematically cut her off from any human contact that might notice what was
08:34happening. She was categorically forbidden from playing with other children. If the family came to
08:40public events, Isabella was kept away from other children like a leper. The school librarian later
08:47told about one particularly disturbing detail. Every time she saw the loving family, Isabella sat in a
08:54stroller and never got out of it, even though she was old enough to walk independently.
08:59I thought the girl was sick or had some special needs, the librarian remembered. Now I understand they
09:06just didn't want people to see her legs and body covered with bruises. When strangers tried to show
09:12simple human kindness to the child, offer her a blanket if she was cold, or treat her to something
09:18tasty, the parents aggressively shut down any attempts at contact. They created a wall of isolation around
09:25Isabella that didn't allow anyone to get close enough to see the full picture of what was happening.
09:31But the most terrible thing about this story is that people still saw. People noticed. People tried
09:38to help. Ashley Viney year after year filed reports with Child Protective Services, begging them to pay
09:45attention to Isabella's condition. We filed report after report, she said with pain in her voice.
09:52They didn't listen to us. They came, conducted a superficial check and left, saying everything was
09:58fine. We couldn't just go and take these children, no matter how much we wanted to.
10:04It actually really upset me and being a therapist, making many reports to CPS and nothing being done
10:10when this could have been prevented. Isabella was just a really beautiful, intelligent and smiley girl
10:18from what she could enjoy. I'd say from age three, it went down from that. Every instance of seeing her,
10:26she just looked scared. The school librarian filed an official report after seeing a bruise on the
10:32girl's face. Other community members called the hotline, reporting suspicions of abuse. But the
10:39system created to protect children like Isabella betrayed her in the most cruel way. The Washu County
10:45Child Protective Services opened a case against the loving family, but after some time closed it with a
10:51conclusion that the family was doing great with raising the children. This decision was made just
10:57one month before Isabella's death, when signs of abuse were already so obvious that even casual
11:03passersby could see them. Unfortunately, such systemic failures happen constantly. On my channel,
11:11you'll find many stories of children who were failed by the system. Each of these stories is a lesson
11:16about how important it is to know the signs of abuse and not stay silent when you see something
11:22suspicious. If this story has already shaken you to your core, share this video on social media. Let
11:29Isabella's voice be heard by as many people as possible. Write in the comments in one sentence what
11:35feelings you're experiencing right now. The most shocking part is still ahead, watch until the end,
11:41because this girl deserves to have her story told completely. Two weeks before her death,
11:47Isabella Loving was photographed in a place that should have been the embodiment of childhood
11:52happiness, at Disneyland. But this photograph became one of the most heartbreaking documents
11:58of human cruelty the world has ever seen. It captured not a joyful child enjoying the magic of a fairy
12:04tale park, but a living skeleton covered with skin, with eyes full of such horror that shouldn't exist
12:11in a five-year-old child's eyes. Isabella looked as if she had just been freed from a concentration
12:17camp. Her face was so thin that the contours of her skull showed through. Her skin was covered with
12:24bruises of every color of the rainbow, from fresh dark purple to yellowish-green ones that had been
12:30healing for several weeks. There were open wounds and scabs from dried blood on visible parts of her body.
12:36Her hair hung in sparse strands, like a sick child undergoing chemotherapy.
12:42But the most horrifying thing was the expression on her face.
12:46In this little girl's eyes there wasn't a spark of joy, curiosity, or delight that should shine in any
12:52child at Disneyland. Instead, there was such deep sadness and hopelessness that shouldn't exist in a child's
12:59world. She looked like an old soul who had seen too much pain and lost all hope that life could be better.
13:06Ashley Viney, seeing this photograph, burst into tears. I couldn't believe they dared to take her
13:13out in public in such condition, she remembered. The child looked like she was dying of hunger right
13:19in front of everyone's eyes. Bruises, wounds, that expression of absolute fear in her eyes.
13:25And after this, social workers came to the house and said,
13:29You're doing great. Case closed. How? How could anyone look at this child and say everything was
13:35fine? Warning signs about what was happening in the loving family's house of horrors could be found
13:41even in Andrea's social media, if you knew what to look for. Her Christmas posts about Elf on the
13:48Shelf revealed a mentally ill woman who used even children's holiday traditions as tools of psychological
13:54terror. Instead of creating magic and joy for children, Andrea wrote messages from the Elf full
14:01of threats and manipulation. Everything will be better if you show more respect. Santa is very unhappy
14:08with what's happening in this house. He's willing to give you a second chance, but be careful,
14:13there definitely won't be a third chance. Imagine the psychological impact of such messages on small
14:20children who believe in Christmas magic. Even more sinister were messages with sexual undertones.
14:27Tell daddy that if he touches me again, I'll take his belt and show him what it feels like.
14:33And the most creepy, what sadness in a house that should be full of joy. Daddy touched me today.
14:39I wasn't hurt, but I don't know what Santa will say, and mommy is very upset. These perverted messages
14:46showed that even Christmas in the loving house was saturated with an atmosphere of fear and
14:51inappropriate adult behavior. In the last 10 days of March, Isabella was deathly ill. Her little body,
14:59already weakened by months of malnutrition and constant beatings, couldn't cope with the illness.
15:05She coughed painfully, spitting up blood and thick mucus. She vomited so often that she could no longer
15:11keep even water inside. Her temperature was abnormally low, indicating that her body had begun to shut
15:18down. Any normal parents would have immediately taken such a sick child to the hospital. But Nicholas
15:25and Andrea weren't normal parents. They were sadists who feared exposure more than their own
15:30daughter's death. When detectives later asked them why they didn't seek medical help, their answer
15:36shocked with its cynicism. We didn't want doctors to see her injuries and start asking questions.
15:43They also claimed that someone allegedly advised them not to go to doctors until the child has been
15:49sick for at least 12 days. This explanation was so absurd that even they didn't believe it.
15:56No one in their right mind gives such advice. It was just a poorly made up excuse from people who knew
16:02that if a doctor saw Isabella, they would immediately call the police. This case shows how important
16:08it is to know what to look for. After watching this video, be sure to study other materials on the
16:14channel. There you'll find signs that will help you recognize child abuse and possibly save someone's
16:21life. On March 30th, just four days before Isabella's death, an incident occurred that showed what degree
16:28of sadism Nicholas had reached. That day Andrea witnessed a scene that should have made any normal mother
16:35immediately call the police and protect her child. But Andrea wasn't a normal mother. She saw Nicholas kick
16:42Isabella with full force in the genital area, one of the most painful and humiliating actions that can be
16:48done to a child. The five-year-old girl doubled over in pain and began to cry. But this only made the sadist
16:56even angrier. He grabbed her by the hood of her sweatshirt and literally dragged her up the
17:01stairs like a garbage bag, not caring that the child was choking. Upstairs, Andrea heard Nicholas's
17:08screams and Isabella's cries, and then there was a dull thud against the wall. Such a sound could only
17:14occur if an adult man threw a small child with full force. After that came eerie silence, which was even
17:22more frightening than the screams. The next day Isabella developed a huge dark purple bruise under her eye,
17:29which was so large it covered half her face. But this wasn't just skin discoloration, the eye was so swollen
17:36that the girl could barely see with it. Anyone who saw such an injury on a child would understand that it was the
17:42result of a strong blow from an adult. The last night of Isabella's life began on the evening of April 2nd,
17:492025. The girl was so sick she could barely stand. She complained of severe cold, even though it was
17:57warm in the house, and said it hurt to breathe. When Nicholas took her temperature, the thermometer
18:03showed only 96 to 97 degrees Fahrenheit, a dangerously low temperature that indicated the
18:10child's body had begun to fail. Instead of immediately calling an ambulance, Nicholas made a decision that
18:16finally showed his complete indifference to his daughter's life. He gave her a bath, not to help,
18:23but to wash off blood and dirt that might attract attention if someone saw the child. After the bath,
18:29he placed the dying girl in her usual bedroom, the five-foot cage with a lock. Around seven in the
18:36evening, the parents went to bed, leaving the deathly ill child locked in the cage. They knew Isabella was
18:43dying, but they didn't care. They slept peacefully while their daughter fought for every breath in
18:49the dark, cramped box that had become her prison and grave. Around midnight, one of Isabella's sisters
18:55woke up from the sounds of vomiting. The girl woke up her parents and said Isabella was throwing up and
19:02feeling very bad. Nicholas and Andrea reluctantly got up, checked Isabella, and with disgusting indifference
19:09declared that she was fine. They didn't even take her out of the cage, didn't clean her, didn't give
19:15her water. They just said, she's fine, and returned to their warm, comfortable beds. This was the last
19:22chance to save Isabella's life. If they had called an ambulance at midnight, the child could still have
19:28been saved. But the parents chose to sleep while their daughter slowly died in a cage just a few feet
19:35away from them. At two in the morning on April 3, 2025, Isabella's little heart stopped. Her tiny body,
19:43tormented by years of beatings, malnutrition, and illness, could no longer endure this torture.
19:50The girl who should have been growing, playing, laughing, and discovering the world died in a dark
19:55cage, surrounded by walls of indifference from those who should have loved her more than life.
20:00Nicholas found that his daughter wasn't breathing and began performing resuscitation. But instead of
20:07immediately calling an ambulance, he made a decision that finally showed his true nature.
20:12He decided not to save his daughter, but to save himself. The next five hours, from two to seven in
20:19the morning, these monsters spent not on attempts to resuscitate the child, but on planning to cover up
20:25their crime. Nicholas later lied to detectives that he was comforting his panicking wife. But Andrea's
20:32testimony revealed the truth about what happened during those nightmare hours. Nicholas suggested
20:38various escape plans, gather the other children and immediately flee the state, bury Isabella's body
20:45in the yard and disappear, take the family to his parents in Virginia, or simply leave the dead body
20:51and run. Andrea objected to the plan of leaving the body, cynically noting that it would, start
20:57decomposing and create a smell that would attract the neighbor's attention. In the end, they decided
21:04to stage the discovery of the body in the morning. They pulled Isabella's lifeless body out of the cage
21:10where she had spent her last agonizing hours and dragged her along with the mattress across the room.
21:15Then they arranged the body as if the girl had been sleeping in a normal place and began rehearsing
21:22the story of how they'd discovered her in the morning. But their sadism didn't end even after
21:28Isabella's death. Around midnight, Nicholas committed another cruelty. He woke up the other children and
21:34made them come downstairs. Imagine the horror of these children, suddenly awakened in the middle of the
21:40night and called to their father who stood over their dead sister's body. Nicholas announced to
21:46them that Isabella had died and that the family would possibly go on a long trip. He said this as
21:53calmly as if he were reporting the weather. The children stood in shock, looking at their sister's
21:58lifeless body, not understanding what had happened and what would happen next. Some of them began to cry,
22:05but Nicholas ordered them to be quiet and go back to their beds. These children witnessed not only their
22:11sister's death, but also their father's complete indifference to this tragedy. They saw how the
22:17person who should have protected them planned escape instead of grieving or calling for help.
22:23This night forever changed their understanding of safety, family, and justice. Isabella's story isn't the
22:30only one. There are many stories on the channel about children who experienced similar horrors.
22:36Study these stories to understand how to recognize danger and protect the defenseless.
22:42Knowledge of these signs can save a life. At 6.55 in the morning on April 3, 2025, almost five hours
22:50after Isabella's death, Nicholas Loving finally dialed 911. His voice on the recording sounded surprisingly
22:58calm for a person who allegedly just found his dead daughter. This is Nicholas Loving. My five-year-old
23:05daughter isn't breathing, she has no pulse, she's cold. Last night she was sick, and now I can't wake
23:12her up. First responders arrived in seven minutes. What they saw in the upper bedroom of the house on
23:19Crystal Canyon Boulevard shocked, even experienced medics. Isabella lay next to a child's mattress on the
23:26floor, and her little body told a horrifying story of systematic torture. Medics counted more than 10
23:32separate injuries just on the girl's face. A black eye, a deep wound above the other eye, multiple
23:39bruises at various stages of healing. Extensive bruising covered her hips, pelvis, arms. Genital
23:46injuries and signs of oral abuse left no doubt. This child had been subjected not only to physical,
23:52but also sexual abuse. At 7.22 in the morning, Isabella Marie Loving was officially pronounced
23:59dead. Police immediately blocked the scene and called detectives. During the search, they discovered
24:05the homemade cage with a lock where the parents kept the girl and traces of blood inside this structure.
24:12Nicholas's first explanation sounded like poorly rehearsed lies. He claimed Isabella had fallen from
24:19his truck, and he saved her by grabbing her arms, which explained the bruises. He linked the black
24:25eye to an accident with a plastic bat. He described his daughter as very clumsy, and even claimed he
24:32planned to take her to a specialist in June to find out the causes of her frequent falls. But during
24:39questioning at the sheriff's office, Nicholas's story began to fall apart. At first he denied any violence,
24:46claiming he, works a lot and is rarely home. When detectives noticed abrasions on his hands,
24:53he explained them as work injuries from construction. Then came the moment of truth.
24:59Nicholas admitted he found Isabella dead not in the morning, but at two at night, but waited five hours
25:05before calling for help. He also admitted to the existence of the cage and that he personally locked
25:11his daughter in it as punishment. Andrea's testimony completely destroyed her husband's version.
25:18She told detectives in detail how four days earlier she saw Nicholas kick Isabella in the genitals,
25:24then drag her by the hood up the stairs. She heard his screams and the impact against the wall when
25:30he threw the child. At the end of the interview, Andrea spoke words that should have become her sentence.
25:36I should be in jail for not helping Isabella, and Nick should be in jail for killing her.
25:43A direct admission of complicity in murdering her own daughter.
25:47Detectives arrested 35-year-old Nicholas Loving on charges of child abuse, resulting in substantial bodily harm.
25:55Judge Kendra Birch set bail at $10 million cash only, calling him extremely dangerous and a flight risk.
26:02The most shocking discovery was that Nicholas had already been convicted of exactly the same crime in 2014.
26:10He broke the arm and bit Andrea's two-year-old son, receiving only probation. The system knew he was a sadist,
26:18but allowed him to create a new family. As this story is being told, Nicholas Loving remains behind bars
26:25at Washu County Jail, awaiting trial. The case is still under investigation, with District Attorney Chris
26:31Hicks stating that additional charges may be filed pending the completion of autopsy and toxicology
26:38results. The legal proceedings continue to unfold as the community demands justice.
26:44Andrea Loving has not been criminally charged, despite overwhelming evidence of her complicity
26:50and her own confession to detectives. Public outrage has erupted, with thousands signing petitions
26:56demanding the District Attorney charge her as an accomplice. Community activists led by Ashley
27:02Viney continue to pressure authorities, arguing that Andrea's failure to protect Isabella makes her
27:08equally culpable in this tragedy. The four surviving children have been placed under the protection of
27:14Child Protective Services. Their identities and current living arrangements remain confidential,
27:20as they receive intensive psychological counseling to help them process the unimaginable trauma they
27:26witnessed. Give this video a thumbs up if you believe justice must be served, and subscribe to
27:33the channel so you don't miss stories about those who cannot speak for themselves. In the comments,
27:38share what shocked you most about this story and whether you think this tragedy could have been
27:43prevented. Share the video so Isabella's voice can be heard around the world.
27:48Community activists are fighting tirelessly for Isabella's law, proposed legislation that would
27:54mandate enhanced welfare checks and require removal of children from homes with multiple
28:00substantiated abuse reports. While this law has not yet been passed, Isabella's story has ignited a
28:07movement for systemic reform that continues to gain momentum across Nevada and beyond. Isabella Marie
28:13Loving lived only five years and eight months. But her death has exposed critical failures in our
28:20child protection system, sparked demands for justice, and created a movement that refuses to let her story
28:27be forgotten. Her legacy lives in every person who now recognizes the signs of abuse, every community
28:33member who speaks up for vulnerable children, and every potential victim who might be saved because
28:39Isabella's voice finally broke through the silence. Don't let these stories be forgotten. Watch other
28:46videos on the channel about children who needed protection. Every story watched is another chance to
28:52learn to recognize danger and act when necessary. Remember these little angels. Rest in peace,
28:59little angel. Your voice is finally being heard. This suspenseful case happened in the summer of 2024.
29:08It's an example of the coordinated work of different services from different states that kept six-year-old
29:13Jaylee Brunette alive. But for little bright girl Erin Brunette, the killer's face was the last thing she saw in
29:21her life. The police and the FBI were only hours late. I'm sure those involved in the operation are still
29:28wondering if they could have made it in time. Let's move to the point. Callie Jo Brunette, 35, was a native
29:37of Lauranga, Louisiana. She attended Lauranga High School and was a member of the flag team. After high school,
29:45she attended Hammond Technical High School to study barbering and medical technology.
29:50She was descended from a proud farming family going back several generations with deep roots
29:56in Louisiana. Callie was proud of her family and her town. She enjoyed this kind of measured life
30:03in touch with nature. She didn't hide the fact that she was a country girl and saw a lot of advantages in
30:09it. Every year in October, thousands of people came to Old Farmer's Day. This festival had been held on
30:16the Brunette Farm since 1973. Music, a fair, unusual contests, an introduction to the work of old school farmers.
30:25This festival left no one indifferent. Callie's daughters, six-year-old Jaylee and four-year-old Erin
30:33looked forward to the festivities. Erin Nicole Brunette was born on October 28, 2019 in Covington, Louisiana. Erin has been
30:43described as a little ball of fire. Incredibly energetic, she had time for everything and everywhere.
30:50Her favorite toy was a stuffed elephant. She had a special bond with her older sister, Jaylee. Jaylee was
30:57six years old and she adored her little sister too. That's how they were always seen. Erin, Jaylee and the
31:04toy elephant. They had lots of games together and Erin always wanted to do what Jamie did. For Callie's,
31:11her daughters were the center of the universe. The big, tight-knit Brunette family had a close-knit
31:17relationship. Jaylee and Erin grew up surrounded by grandparents, two great-grandmothers, aunts,
31:24uncles and cousins. The summer of 2024 passed normally and measuredly for Callie and the children.
31:32Callie's ex-boyfriend, Daniel Callihan, appeared on the horizon, but it was also routine.
31:37Although Callie and Daniel broke up almost 13 years ago, he would occasionally appear in her life
31:44and then disappear again. Daniel could be charming and Callie and her family had no idea that he was
31:50the son of Kelly Wayne Drott, a man whose name had rang loudly in the States in the 90s.
31:57Then back in the 1990, 18-year-old Rebecca Forbes didn't return home after attending an Italian
32:03festival in Independence. The police searched for Rebecca. It was soon revealed that she had met
32:09Drott at a festival and got into his car. Drott beat her to death and dumped her body in the
32:15Tangipahoa River. Rebecca's body was found three weeks later. She had lain in the river for three
32:22weeks on a pile of sand and it was lucky to find her. Little was left of her. Drott admitted to killing
32:29Forbes, but always maintained that it was an accident. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and
32:34received a 25-year sentence, but escaped from a New Orleans prison and went on the run with another
32:41woman, whom he later shot. While on the run, he also kidnapped a teenage girl and then shot himself
32:48when police surrounded him. Of course, kids aren't responsible for their parents and Daniel
32:54was a toddler when it all happened. But as it turned out, his father's fate had a profound effect
33:00on his son. On the morning of Thursday, June 13, 2024, Callie's mother, Debbie, was worried because
33:08she had been trying to contact her daughter all morning and had gotten no response. She hadn't
33:13heard from Callie since the previous day, which was a worrying sign. Callie had always been in close
33:20contact with her parents and even though she lived a little further down the street,
33:25they saw each other often and called every day. It was strange and unlike Callie to just stop
33:31returning her parents' calls. Debbie didn't wait long and at 8am she went to the house where Callie
33:37lived with her two daughters. When she got there, the first thing she noticed was that Callie's car,
33:43a Chrysler 200, was missing. Debbie was puzzled. Could Callie have gone somewhere so early,
33:50or had she not spent the night at home? Inside, the house greeted Debbie with silence,
33:56and in the bedroom, Debbie saw a horrifying sight. Debbie found Callie lying dead, covered in numerous
34:03stab wounds. It was clear that Callie had suffered a brutal, violent attack. According to the autopsy,
34:10Callie was killed as a result of multiple forceful injuries. She had been stabbed multiple times in
34:16the head, neck, chest and back. Some of the wounds to her arms were defensive. Callie was fighting for
34:23her life. Unfortunately, the killer left her no chance to survive. It's hard to imagine what Debbie
34:31went through in that moment. Of course, it's the most horrific discovery one can make, especially when it
34:37comes to one's own child. Just the thought of her granddaughters gave her the strength to pull herself
34:43together and start calling and searching for Jaylee and Erin. Then another horrible discovery overtook
34:50her. Her granddaughters were missing. Debbie immediately called 911 to report the murder and
34:56missing girls. An Amber Alert was immediately issued for the two missing girls, and a search was launched for
35:03the missing vehicle. It was believed that someone had broken into the home, killed Callie, and then
35:09kidnapped both of her young, defenseless daughters using the stolen car. The first thing investigators
35:16did was run the license plate number on the missing vehicle. They quickly learned that the vehicle was
35:21traveling north toward Jackson, Mississippi. Based on this, they were able to determine that on the evening of
35:28June 12th, at 6pm the car was in Byram, Mississippi. Police were also able to obtain surveillance footage
35:36from a McDonald's parking lot. The footage was taken on the June 12th, and in the footage they saw a wanted car
35:43being driven by an unknown white male. At the time, the man was attempting to change a tire on the car in the
35:50parking lot. After looking closely at the footage, investigators noticed what appeared to be two
35:56children sitting in the back seat of the car while the man was attempting to change the tire. Investigators
36:03immediately realized that these were the two missing girls, Jaylee and Erin. At the same time, back on June 12th,
36:11a woman named Dixie Hemphill began receiving messages from Callie's Facebook account. Dixie's messages
36:18stated that it was actually her brother, Daniel Callahan. He said that he used Callie's account to send her a
36:24message saying that he had done something bad and needed money for gas. He asked her to wire some money through
36:30Cash App, but she had a bad feeling about the whole thing. She knew her brother well, so instead of giving him
36:37the money, she alerted authorities to the reports. At that point, investigators began to connect the dots and
36:44and discovered that Daniel Callahan, 36, may have been the one who killed Callie and kidnapped her two
36:50daughters. They also realized that the case was now crossing multiple states, so police brought in the FBI
36:57and Abbas Marshall's task force to investigate. By June 13th, just hours after the girls were reported
37:05missing, Marshall's began a search in Byram, Mississippi, which was the last known location of Callie's car.
37:11Pretty soon, in fact, an undercover officers spotted Daniel Callahan walking along Terry Road in Jackson.
37:19According to the officers, he looked like he was checking houses. Upon noticing the officers,
37:25he attempted to flee, but the officers managed to catch up with him and detain him. At this point,
37:31the officers saw that the little girls were not with him, so the frantic search for the girls continued.
37:37After detaining Daniel, the officers began searching a nearby road, Brucier Drive. On this road,
37:45they were approached by two civilians who said they had recently heard two children screaming from the
37:50woods about 50 yards behind a home on the same road. Witnesses directed the officers to this home,
37:57where they focused their search. The home was old and largely unfinished, with no permanent residence.
38:03On this property, about 20 yards from the house, authorities found Callie's missing car. Further
38:10behind the house in the woods, they found Aaron and Jaylee inside of a pit. Of course, authorities were
38:17thrilled that they were able to find these two girls so quickly. They held their breath the entire time,
38:23hoping that both would be alive, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Six-year-old little Jaylee was alive,
38:31but next to her lay four-year-old little Aaron. Unfortunately, she was dead. Meanwhile, Jaylee was
38:38taken away from the scene and brought to Mississippi Medical Center for recovery. When Daniel was brought
38:44to the station for questioning, he confessed almost immediately. Daniel told the officers that he stabbed
38:51Callie about 30 times in her house. He mentioned that he had wanted to kill Callie for a long time,
38:57but didn't say why. According to Daniel's sister, they dated about 13 years ago, but it's not clear
39:04why he still has any animosity or anger towards her, especially since it seems like they haven't
39:10been together in 13 years. Calliehan also said that after stabbing Callie to death,
39:16he grabbed the two girls and put them in a car. He then drove with the girls over 100 miles to Mississippi,
39:23where he went to a house on Bruzier Drive. When they got to the house, he said,
39:28Aaron and Jaylee were crying. They were very upset and said they didn't want to stay with Daniel.
39:34Daniel eventually realized that law enforcement was on their way and looking for him,
39:39and that's when he decided to kill Aaron. According to the Mississippi police chief,
39:45he believes Aaron was strangled to death. We are waiting on the forensic pathologist,
39:51the medical examiner. I will assume, and this is clearly an assumption, that she possibly died from
39:58asphyxiation or suffocation. But we would have to wait on the medical examiner before we release that
40:05information. I did not see any gunshot wounds or anything like that, so it appeared possibly
40:11suffocation, but there's yet to be determined. Meanwhile, Daniel admitted that he decided not
40:18to kill six-year-old Jaylee because he wanted to keep her as a sex slave. At the same time,
40:24he killed her little sister because he knew the police were looking for him, and they were closing in.
40:30It doesn't make any sense at all. Nor do all of Daniel's Calliehan actions.
40:36After the initial interrogation, Daniel was arrested and charged with two counts of murder
40:41and sexual battery. When he was taken into custody, he spoke to the media where he openly confessed
40:48to what he had done. He said that unfortunately, while sober, taking Lexapro, with no drugs in his
40:54system, he killed Aaron. He said he had no reason for what he did, but he said he had borderline or
41:01multiple personality disorder. He went on to talk about Lexapro and his mental health. He also said he
41:08was on suicide watch, although he was not suicidal, but then said he was completely sorry for what he
41:15had done and that he deserved lethal injection. Mr. Callahan, do you have anything to say?
41:20I would like to say. Did you kill Aaron Burnett? Unfortunately, on Lexapro, sober,
41:28no drugs in my system, I did. Why? Why did you kill the three-year-old girl?
41:33I had no reason for what I did. All I know is I want to say I was sober and only on Lexapro and off
41:43Lexapro, and I'm also diagnosed borderline with a multiple personality disorder, and I have not
41:50got to talk to a lawyer, and I'm on suicide watch, but I'm not suicidal.
41:55Did you kill her mom? Did you kill her mom?
41:59Uh, the Lexapro. Did you kill her mom?
42:01Mom.
42:02Aaron Spottleto.
42:06I'm at Reagan County jail jail in like an interview.
42:08Do you regret what you did?
42:09Completely.
42:11You regret what you did?
42:12I would kill me, and I'm gonna, I am, uh, I have told them everything that I did,
42:18and I have agreed to not fight it, speedy trial, and the, uh, death chamber, whatever it is, though.
42:26Do you hope for the death penalty?
42:29For what I did? Lethal injection is the easiest thing for me.
42:33Are you pretending to be crazy?
42:35No, I'm not pretending to be crazy. Look me up in Region 8.
42:38Borderline multiple personality disorder.
42:41You better look it up when you say pretend to be crazy.
42:44I'm certified. I was only at the nut house two weeks now.
42:46What?
42:51While all of this was going on, Daniel was in jail, and he was making all of these confessions.
42:57Law enforcement was still investigating the location where little Aaron was found dead.
43:02They announced that the only way to get to the location of this house is to know the area.
43:08It is a dead end that is in the middle of nowhere, so one will not just stumble upon it.
43:13Authorities then announced that there were signs of possible human trafficking at the house.
43:19Small cages were found on the property as well as wire fencing.
43:23According to Daniel's sister, Daniel has been troubled all his life and is a master criminal.
43:29She said she had contacted the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation
43:33a year earlier to report that she believed he was involved in the death of a missing man.
43:38She also said he confessed to her to molesting a child. At one point the case went to a grand jury,
43:46but the evidence was not enough to indict him, and he was released.
43:49This is his first affair that he's been called red-handed. I would love to defend my brother,
43:56and I would love to say it was the Lexapro, but it's not the Lexapro. He knows what he's doing.
44:02I met her kids twice, you know. I just, that doesn't even matter. I feel so bad for her parents. Like, what?
44:08What? Why? I need someone to take us serious because look what happened. And y'all think,
44:14and Lincoln County said there was no merit to him killing anyone. But yet they diagnosed him
44:19with seeing hallucinations and being schizophrenic and just let him walk up out of them doors.
44:23He got classified as a serial killer. And we even try to tell NBI about this,
44:28that he wanted to be a prodigy of his dad and he was writing his own book, except he was going to
44:31succeed his dad. And he has. The development in this case were remembered by many people
44:38because of the strong words spoken by Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade.
44:43Daniel Callahan and Victoria Cox brought horror and unthinkable terror to the city of Jackson.
44:53These individuals were a threat to those kids, which means they were a threat to all of our children.
45:02What I saw in the woods in South Jackson is something you never want to see as a chief
45:09and as a father. We will hold these individuals accountable.
45:15After a long silence in this confusing matter, on the 3rd of January 2025, United States Attorney
45:22Dwayne Evans announced that 37-year-old Daniel Wayne Callahan, Louisiana, has been indicted on two
45:29counts of kidnapping resulting in death and transportation of a minor in interstate commerce
45:34with intent to engage in criminal sexual conduct. On count one, Callahan faces a mandatory minimum
45:41sentence of life in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
45:49On count two, Callahan faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison up to life in prison,
45:56at least five years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.
46:01A conviction on count two, may also require Callahan to register as a sex offender.
46:08Attorney Evans reiterated that an indictment is merely an accusation and that guilt must be proven
46:14beyond a reasonable doubt. There is no doubt that Callahan deserved every single count of this
46:21indictment and more. Unfortunately, this will not bring back the family of the murdered Callie
46:27and Aaron Brunette. Rest in peace Callie and Aaron.
